Every time I go to the Wine Sage and Gourmet I have a great experience. Whether its picking up reasonably priced wine bottles or participating in a tasting or special event, the shop is welcoming and well stocked. Theres something for everyone including local art and specialty food items too. They now have a gorgeous little bar overlooking the busy main street sidewalk. Its a great place to meet friends and enjoy hanging out as well as stocking up on your favorite wines for your personal home cellar. The owner is knowledgeable and personable. If you have questions about the wine, wine regions, producers, etc., youll have all your questions answered before you make a selection. If you are in downtown Hendersonville, I highly recommend you stop in to the Wine Sage and Gourmet to check out their local offerings of food and art as well as their vast selection of wine. Visited this place for the first time over Apple Festival weekend, my mom and I were drawn in by the sign for wine slushies. Slushies didnt disappoint and neither did the store! Great selection of wines, local goods, and kitchen goods, and Cathy upstairs was super nice and made the experience memorable. This will have to be a regular stop whenever Im in Hendersonville!

Love this place! Wine Club is amazing deal and allows me to try new wines that I would not normally pick out. Staff is always helpful at recommendations and they offer great wines for all budgets!

This is an excellent wine shop! I love stopping in on Fridays after work! I’ve purchased gifts for friends weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries. I love their selection of Rose and Merit the owner is a true philanthropist and community builder.

Merit is a real peach. Dont buy your wine anywhere else. There is a wide selection of wines for all occasions and the cellar is a great space for entertaining. I will be back next time I am passing through.

We are local Flat Rock residents, have visited this store twice. Both times the store employees have no desire to help. Customers should not be required to ask for help or need to look for employees. This occurred both upstairs and down.They will never need to ignore my wife or me again!

To say that Wine Sage is a great wine shop would be an understatement. Merit has built a comfortable and fun tasting room and wine shop. Offering a selection that cant be beat, from Chardonnay to Pinots to Merlots, to fit the palette of everyone from the Novice to the Connoisseur. Be sure to make this a must see when visiting the town or if youre local and want a great bottle of wine!

This is my favorite wine bar in Henderson County. Down the stairs on Main St. into a wine cellar you will find 2 walls of wines of the world. If you cant decide, Merrick, who owns the shop, or Keith, who has vast wine knowledge, are there to help. Prices are fair. Cheers!

This story is great for anyone that is looking for Unique household goods for their kitchen. So many unique items that I have not seen in other stores. I also have to come and get the staff as they are very knowledgeable and give a ton of great advice for the products that they have in the store. You also need to check out the wine tasting room in the basement. They have a huge variety of different types of wines and the employees really know the wines.

Stopped in on a rainy afternoon and enjoyed a lovely Moscato! We took home a bottle of white Pinot Noir as well that we are looking forward to! Wonderfully friendly hostess!

The upstairs has great kitschy items for your kitchen and bar needs, but The Cellar is where youll find a wide variety of wines and some great craft beers! This is a must stop if youre in Downtown Hendersonville!!
