The customer service at this particular branch is not the best. Don’t expect it if you want that experience go to west gate drive! Their they will go above and beyond in customer service and rates. Here they are stuffy and often times act as if they don’t really want to handle anything pertaining to your rental and for you to use the app which most times works but other times is very frustrating. This place is also pricey and they use terms like when will you return “my” truck? On the positive side the trucks are newer. I’ve rented here five or six times and I have had different experiences each time. It’s really hit or miss there. If I didn’t live up the street from it I would go somewhere else to be honest. As a customer we want to know that the staff cares about our experience as well as their “product” and they need to be more hands on to ensure that like other branches.

This location is always staffed with enough vehicles and a large selection. Id recommend going her over other area dealers if you need big trucks even. The staff is friendly. It can get busy so plan ahead.

Service is not upto mark. They have charged for damage cost and not providing any exact reason or not showing any proof for damage. I wouldnt recommend to take uhaul any time.

Clean, easy to use storage facility. Friendly office staff when you need them. They are working in the A/C .... currently its hot as hell!

Reservation for 3pm for a 20ft truck rental. They lost the keys and have one coming back at 430. Insult to injury, they have another sitting here for a 4pm reservation....Uhh, make them wait for 30 minutes for the 430 return. Skip this place. How do they not have a second set of keys for the rental trucks?

Rented a truck from here to move some furniture. The checkout process was smooth, the staff was friendly, but the after hours return process was a nightmare. I was lucky I had a friend to come with, because my smartphone was unable to upload photos into the app, and I was unable to continue with the drop-off alone. Their phone was perfectly fine, but the photo upload doesnt work with all models of phone. It took me almost an hour to complete the drop-off, and I almost went over the allotted time.

Don’t rent here unless you want to smell dirty carpets. As soon as you enter the building, you will smell extreme dirt as carpets seem to not have been vacuumed since several years. Nobody seems to care there. Temperature inside is set to 85 degrees so it’s extremely hot and uncomfortable with all the dirt filled air. Probably trying to save on Air Conditioning costs.

Excellent customer service!!! Jessica and Nicole were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Matt, the manager was exceptional, this team goes above and beyond...I would highly recommend them!!

I needed a truck for a few hours and these people were awesome from start to finish, including advising on size considerations and not upcharging when I didnt need as much equipment as I thought. Check-out and check-in were easy and straightforward. If I need a truck in the future, this is my go-to for sure!

Smooth sailing. We had several U Boxes being stored in N.C. with contents from my Mother in laws home after her estate settled. Once we were ready to go through it all we called and had them shipped up here. I contacted this location to rent a unit for us to unload into and they were very nice and helpful. They made sure the U boxes were easily accessible for the freight elevator and the unload went smoothly.

No fuss pickup and drop off. Van was clean and ran well.

William the store manager was great. We discovered the electrical harness for our truck hitch was dead when we went to pick up a camper. William warned us it would take a while. He personally installed a new harness and had us out in short order, saving our camping trip. THANKS! SO MUCH!

I had a 2 trailer hitch installed by Mat. Covid made availability a challenge. Mat kept contact through the process and did an excellent job with the installation. The staff was courteous and helpful!

Great experience at this branch. Convenient location just off Rt28 with easy parking. We rented a Cargo van for two days to move our son to college. The Manager Matias Pavese was courteous and very professional in helping us with the entire transaction.The van was nearly new, clean and problem free. I would recommend this U-Hall branch to anyone in the area.

Really like the convenience of the Uhaul app and the lock box key. Tony has great customer service and assisted with getting the Uhaul much easier with all the questions we had.

The facility was clean, pickup easy. While staff interaction was limited due to COVID, the staff I spoke to was friendly and helpful. Parking lot was clearly marked with signs.

These guys have a lot of trucks, all pretty good condition. Youll probably get the type you want here. Quick customer service compared to other U-Haul locations Ive been to, too.What really sealed it for me was a billing issue - I got charged with something extra and contacted U-Haul over it. They referred it to the store, and I got a call the same day from the manager. Wed corrected the issue and come to an agreement in 3 minutes. Much more painless than I ever hoped.I plan to continue renting trucks from here for as long as Im in the area.

Misread the gas gauge and charged me for almost a quarter tank of gas. Between the odometer reading of 19 miles, the charge for almost 6 gallons would have meant the truck got only 3 mpg never going faster than 45.

Have been to a few Uhaul locations for renting moving trucks and have not had a problem with this location!

Very disappointed. I booked a truck for my move from Sterling to Herndon and now, two days before my move, they call me to tell me I will have to pick up the truck in Herndon, bring it back to Sterling to get my belongings, and then bring it back to Herndon where I will unload it. Two stars because they are crediting me extra miles for free for the extra drive, but this is still awful customer service. They also refused to have someone bring a truck to Sterling from the Herndon location for me so that I can pick it up at my preferred location. If the truck was not available, I should not have been able to book it that way. Additionally, good customer service would be to bring the truck to the location I booked. I have always been happy using Uhaul services in the past, but I will seriously hesitate before using them again .

Great service! Very easy to use. My dad and I rented one to move me from Dallas to Virginia. We had the 10 truck and a tow for my CRV. It was all smooth sailing. No problems at all and very easy to return. Also appreciated the reminder call for my truck return and the return address.

Poor customer service! I was helping a friend move. She reserved a truck about a month prior to the move for the entire day of the move. When move day came, about an hour before we were ready for the truck, a member of the U-Haul team called to confirm we were still picking up the truck. I said yes, we would be there to pick it up soon. About 10 min later we get a second call telling us they gave the truck to someone else and we could either wait several hours for another truck or go somewhere else. I was quite upset given we had reserved the truck for an entire day and the communities we were moving from and into both required specific time frames that the move could take place in. The manager called me back and when I expressed my confusion about having the truck for the day, the manager began to lecture me on how reservations work. I get that they make the most $$ when all of their equipment is in use, however, if we actually had a place to park the truck I could have taken possession of it first thing in the morning and they would have made the same amount of money. All around this situation could have been avoided had u-haul explained that if the truck was not picked up at the start time, they would rent it to someone else. But there is no reason for the way they spoke to me. I would hope a company as large as this would hold customer service as a priority, and therefore treat them with respect and try to help them resolve problems. Not lecture them and tell them to find another location.

This location has the best customer service unlike the McLean location. Staff is pretty nice and friendly; the manager Mat is extremely helpful. I would strongly recommend them.

I’ve been looking at several storage facilities and I am happy to have picked this UHAUL facility.Location:It is located off route 28 near the McLearen exit in an area that isn’t as densely populated, which is great because it means you don’t have to deal with fighting traffic to get access to your belongings. It is also close to the airport, perfect for those who travel a lot.Security:The facility is equipped with several necessary + effective safety and security measures which made me feel reassured with storing my belongings there. The customer center has literally everything that you need to help with your moving/storing process.Customer Service:All the staff members that I saw and encountered seem to really enjoy and care about what they do, which results in incredible customer service experience, something that a lot of businesses nowadays seem to be lacking.Leadership:I want to give my sincere thanks to the General Manager Mat for going above and beyond to help make this an easy process and also a pleasant experience. He asked important questions about what I was planning on using the locker for and brought up excellent points that made me reconsider my initial reservation. By taking the time to guide me through the whole process, it showed that he was genuinely looking out for my best interests and not just trying to sell me on additional services that I don’t need.I will definitely be recommending this facility to family and friends!

Was told at the time of purchase that unopened supplies could be be returned. Unfortunately, personnel did not honor this when I went to return two flat screen tv covers that were in unopened uhaul packaging because I didnt have the receipt anymore. Really guys?! I just moved...you think maybe losing the receipt might happen...
