I have been using American Marine Canvas for many years now. Jeremy and his team produce a great product. Recently created us a tender cover which fits great and looks sharp.

Contacted American Marine Canvas to replace my existing boat covers and instal a new sandbar shade. Jeremy showed up on time and gave me a good review of the available options to get the job done. He followed up with a written quote within 48 hrs and we agreed on one of the options. Jeremy set expectations about the expected time of completion and delivered as promised. The new boat cover fits perfect (great craftsmanship). The sandbar shade turned out much nicer then I was expecting and highly recommended addition to any center console boat (in my case a Grady White 336 Canyon) in the sunny/hot Miami weather.

I honestly dont know how this company have a 5 star review. They don’t have the courtesy to contact you to provide a quote. I’ve called several times for an update and the answer I get from the reception is, the owner is busy he will contact you soon. Mind you it’s been over 3 weeks and still waiting. 🤷‍♂️

I rarely write reviews and only do so if well-deserved. Jeremy and his team are amazing. I have a Mako 282, and American Marine made a custom full cover over 8 years ago. It was perfect! This month Jeremy and his team completed the second custom full cover for the same boat; again it was perfect, and actually better than the first one because of the use of a pole to prevent water pooling. Not long ago Jeremy and his team completed a new set of cushions for the entire boat. They are better than the factor made ones, and American Marine went well beyond what was necessary to make great cushions. For instance they made some of them 3 inches thick instead of the standard 2 inches, and utilized better attachment methods to keep them from slipping, and the shape of each cushion was perfect - following the contours of the surface perfectly and better than the factor made ones. His team of Francisco and Henry did an amazing job of creating a template and then installing the finished products. Having equipped canvas on my sailboats for the past 30 years the marine canvas business sometimes changes as to whom you want to do your canvas. Currently, Ill have to give 2 thumbs up to American Marine for this job. I had my dodger, bimini, and connector fabricated and their work was on time and very high quality. The installers were courteous and always called to let me know about their arrival time -- thats unheard of in Miami and I was thoroughly impressed. American marine made cockpit cushions, new cushions for my salon and redesigned my Bimini on my Cabo Rico 38 sailboat. I met Phillip at the Miami Boat Show, where he promptly gave me an estimate for the work on my boat, based off pictures. The estimate was accurate and the work was done promptly, after contacting him. His employees were very professional and displayed good craftmanship. In the boating industry and marine canvas, this type of reliability is rare. I rarely make the time to write reviews, however, I felt compelled to write a great review for this company. Highly recommend their work.

I am the captain of a 120 foot motoryacht, and I needed 25 cushions plus an outdoor cover, as well as a cover for the windshield. The owner of the boat is very particular, as well he should be (its a beautiful boat), and when I was getting quotes, I found American Marine Coverings to be pretty much in the middle - they werent the cheapest and they werent the most expensive. Although I got cheaper quotes, there was something about Phil (owner of American Marine) that reassured me - the company has been around since the 20s, so they must be doing something right. He was also very knowledgeable and had undertaken many similar projects for other mega-yachts, and I checked him out with some other captains of other boats where his company had done work. They all recommended him. The owner and I were also not sure what color these cushions should be, we had some ideas but were not 100% sure, so I asked Phil for his opinion and he gave me his recommendation, based on the coloring of the boat and the wood paneling. I was under a deadline (preparing for the boat show) and Phil assured me they would get the job done on time. The cushions they made were perfect, the color and piping he had recommended was superb, although when they installed them, we noticed in the sunlight a few of them had little marks on them (turns out it was sewing machine oil), so the installer rushed them back to the shop and assured me he would be back the next day in time for the boats departure to the show. The next morning they came back, I dont know whether they just cleaned them or had made brand new cushions (they looked brand new) - but they were absolutely perfect. The cover fitted well, and the installer was very efficient. The windshield cover also fit perfectly. I cannot speak highly enough about their services, particularly when the owner of the boat saw the cushions for the first time - he absolutely loved them. I will use American Marine Coverings for all our canvas and upholstery work and will recommend them.

After getting burned by a couple of other companies that never kept the appointment that was scheduled, I contacted American Marine.They were on time and gave me great ideas on what I wanted.I ended up getting a front cover, back shade and a sand bar shade.The work exceeded my expectations and was manufactured to last many years. Quality was super and was designed so that it is easy to put on and off.I have already received many comm ets and have referred the to Phil and his guys.Would use them again.

Unlike others Philip gave me a written quote at the boat when he looked at it. He gave me the best price and explain his system. They did the job when he said they would do it and completed it when he said he would. He responded each time I call with a question. His workers did a perfect job the first time we are extremely happy. Theres no need to waste time getting other quotes like I did use them and youll be happy.

Philip and his staff are awesome! They created a whole new Bimini and dodger for our Brewer 44. In a world where reliable contractors are hard to find, American Coverings certainly stands out. I knew from the outset I was in good hands when I was told to expect the crew at 8:00am and at 7:50am they were walking down the dock tools in hand.My situation was a bit more complicated since I was a vessel in transit and was anchored during the process which required me to transport people to and from the boat. Despite this inconvenience which caused other companies to dismiss me, Phillip and his crew took on the job and created a great product.One other great aspect is that Phillip is a sailor originally and so has intimate boat experience which makes the final product better as his suggestions are based on first hand experience.Overall great experience!

Judge a product by how long it lasts, not how it looks day 1. Phil and his team made me an excellent boat cover for me center console. The quality materials and craftsmanship have left me with a product which is still in excellent working shape 6 years later. They still service any small issues that arise over time with 100% professionalism.

I love my boat! So when I noticed it needed a little TLC, I made a trip to American Marine Coverings. I got new carpets to replace my old, dingy one, and new seats, replacing the ones that were beginning to tear. I also got some pillows so my guests can feel even more comfortable while we’re out on the sea. I’m sure if my boat could talk, it would tell me how happy it is for the upgrade

I had an excellent experience! We recovered and added foam to the interior cushions in the main salon and v-berth, made new cockpit cushions and replaced the bimini top and dodger on our 48 sailboat. The workmanship was excellent and Phil and his team made sure that we were happy, tweaking some cushions and ensuring the Bimini fit well and we had room around the winches for the winch handles. He even found a creative solution for our aft Bimini straps which had always been somewhat problematic. There is no question that I will call on American Marine Coverings for my future canvas and upholstery needs..

I do my best to take care of my boat. I bought a boat cover to keep it safe whenever I’m not on the sea, a bimini so me and my guests can have a little shade while we’re taking in some fresh air, and new carpets just because my boat is that special. Met with the owner Phillip, May 16. We wanted all coverings, forward, aft deck etc.Explained our time line 4 weeks was assured that it would happen.Completion was on Jul 13. Not what we were promised, but after, all the delays,we settled, for less then what was promised and expected.Beware of this company, for major boat covering work. they seem to specialize incurtains etc. for hotels, and seem to need a cash flow for repair work.$10,000 to $13,000 boat covering projects, seem to get in their way.It astounds me, being a business owner, that Phiip, the owner of this businessasked us for a draw to meet Payroll. Draw your own conclusions.Notwithstanding, that it cost us $1,350, to stay on our dock at Loggerhead Marina,Hollywood, while we pestered and called everyday, to get our work completed.No concessions were made by Philip.Joshua and Hanoi, who did the patterning and installation were fantastic,and left alone would have completed a fantastic job.Philip unfurtunaly is a fireman, and sent them out to put out fires he created,which left us 8 weeks instead of the 4 weaks promised to get the job done.Do not have major Canvas work done by this company.

I had a very unusual project that I needed help with. I was building a HUGE Gazeebo outdoor shade area in my back yard. A huge wooden structure approx 40 feet by 30 feet. I needed a shade covering for this and wanted something cool and different. I hadnt thought it through and pretty much built the structure without any idea of what I was going to use as the covering. I did not want to use any corrugated roof and had seen an idea at a Resort in St. Barts where they had used some sort of material stretched tight with wire as the shade provider. So I decided to try and use a material pitched across the structure - but I had no idea how to pull this off. I was referred to Phil at American Marine Coverings from my neighbor who had just had his boat covering done by AMC. He came and inspected the project then went to work and put together a plan. He added extra reinforcement to the structure that I had not realized I would need. This covering was going to pull on each corner of the structure and require a lot of strength in the structure in order to hang and pitch this cover on the gazebo. What seemed like a simple task (cover a structure with material to create a nice shade area) became a massive complicated project. On game day Phil came with the most amazing cover - stitched with wire cable on each edge seem with specific connectors that would attached at each corner. He made a adjustable tent pole for the middle of the structure that would crank up and act like a tent pole in the middle making any rain water run off and not collect on the material. The cables were tightened on each each corner pulling the material cover drum tight - then the central pole was cranked up to make it even tighter. AMAZING!! I have the coolest covering in my back yard. People gasp when they see it and YES I take all the credit - but it was really Phillip at Americanmarinecoverings who did it all. He quoted me a price - and even when this project went from big to huge he did not adjust the price and he kept coming back several times till it was perfect.He also added drop down sun shade screens to block the afternoon sun - something that I had not realized I needed. These guys can do anything!! Cant say enough about them!!
