Dont spend your money here. I went in to buy a recliner. When I sat in the recliner I wanted to purchase, I was told these seats are not for sitting.... I asked how do I determine which was most comfortable to me and of coarse he had no answer.

I kept call the store about my bed set that I paid $586.00 for . But got the wrong size mattress. I tried call the store about it nobody was answering . I tried getting store credit since there give me a full size instead of queen size . But they told me they don’t do that

The sweetest nicest people in the world!! Got an amazing deal on a really beautiful mattress and the box spring was free. They go above and beyond to work with their customers and absolutely treat you excellently!! I cant praise them enough. They also sell household items, nick nacks and other great stuff. Best buying experience in my whole life. Will definitely buy any future from them and shop in the store regularly!!! Just a great place hit one star by accident it should be 5 stars sorry!!!

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I purchased a twin size mattress, box spring and two dressers.The mattress that I purchased was infected WITH BEDBUGS!! Called the store spoke to a representative, who spoke with the manager about the problem. I was asked to send pictures of the of the mattress, which I did, and was told I would get a FULL REFUND. When I got to the store they only wanted to refund me for the mattress not the dresser. In turn I said I was told that I would get a full refund for having to deal with this huge problem. They said No we can only refund you for the bed. I said to him What about the bed I had to discard and my child has no bed to sleep on? What about the furniture that I have to throw away? Not to mention having to bring in exterminator!! But still no compensation!! HORRIBLE BUSINESS take my advice DONT EVER PURCHASE anything from JMD FURNITURE, EVER...!!

On October 9, 2019 I discovered JMD Furniture while searching for a black dresser on Google. I went to the District Heights, Md location about 11:00 am and was greeted by the manager when I walked in. I told him what I was looking for. He showed me several options and I decided on one of the black dressers, and also purchased the black platform bed and the nightstand that matched the dresser. By 2:30 the same day my furniture was delivered and set up by James and another gentleman!! Yes, delivered the same day!!! Unheard of! They were very professional, skilled and had all 3 items assembled in less than 2 hours. The furniture is beautiful and well made.While in JMD I saw other pieces of furniture that I will be buying. I highly recommend this store if you are working with a budget, but yet looking for high quality, a large selection to choose from, and most importantly when you need it the same day! I did not need mine the same day so that was a bonus and what I call exceptional customer service! Thank you JMD!

I bought a dining table from tample hills, MD. They gave me wrong and damaged product. When I let them know its wrong size dinning table and damaged also. At first they told me next day theyll deliver the right product. Its been more than 3 weeks they have not delivered the product or refund. They dont know how to deal the customer, they only know how to steal money.

I got a great deal on a sectional and the staff went over and beyond to be helpful. They helped me decide on a piece and even whipped out a tape measure to make sure it would work in my space. I asked for same day delivery and it was arranged as well! Would definitely recommend!

Terrible customer service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.I ordered furniture a MONTH in advance and scheduled a delivery date for a month later. I was moving from the west coast to DC and had multiple confirmations that my furniture would be ready and delivered on Oct 1. Oct 1 came and I waited all day and evening and the driver call me at 5pm and stated “it’s too late at night so we’ll deliver tomorrow”. So because I just moved to DC with nothing but my clothes and this furniture was absolutely needed, I had to go find a hotel room. Then the following day Oct 2nd they did indeed bring my furniture but they were missing my $800 coffee table. When I asked when it would come in the delivery person said “I don’t know you’ll have to wait and see”. Terrible professionalism and customer service. I was informed on Oct 6th that JMD themselves were going to the manufacturer to pickup my coffee table and they will call me for delivery on Oct 7th. That didn’t happen. So on Oct 8th I called for a refund and all of sudden they now have my coffee table and can deliver it that same night.When the delivery showed up, the delivery person repeatedly said “we’re only dropping it off and not setting it up”. So I said, “well I paid for some furniture to be drop off and others to be white glove setup and installations and you white glove installed ALL of the other furniture so why can’t you setup the coffee table since you were 8 days late with it”. He said “sorry my paper says drop off in your house and then we’re leaving”. This is once again terrible customer service and JMD should know that in these situations you should just do the right thing and setup the furniture that your customer waited 8 days after the delivery date for.The delivery drivers were unprofessional, lacked customer service skills, personal skills and empathy. I will not buy from them again and would not recommend you buy from them either. Take your business and your money somewhere else.

It’s amazing what you can get for $140! A queen mattress (a very good one might I add), box spring, AND a bed frame. The bed is super comfy I was really expecting something cheap and springy totally not what I got. Definitely going to make future purchases here, and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

I ordered this mattress and I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. They kept me updated on when it was being processed, shipped, and delivered. Went there the owner or manager don’t know which very friendly even told me he would give me discounts for future purchases was in & out in less than 10 minutes. Let me make it very clear this was the one on Marlboro Pike. The one on Iverson street were the exact opposites looked around for 15 minutes the guy that loads the furniture was doing that at the time. It was after he was done he asked if he could help me as the owner or manager stayed up front and never said a word. I asked the price on a particular item to this lady who I assume is the owner without barely looking she quoted me a price.Asked the gentleman at Marlboro Pike about the exact item & was quoted 150.00 less. The young men that load the furniture in both locations very courteous & polite. So if you buy something in the D.C,Temple hills area at a JMD Furniture I suggest you go to the one on Marlboro Pike they give you 5star treatment.

I had the BEST EXPERIENCE!!! This was my first furniture buying experience anyways and they made it grand. When I walked in I was unsure about what I actually wanted to purchase even after browsing online and reading the circulars that come in the mail. The Woman who assisted me was VERY nice, patient and helpful. She showed me everything I wanted to see even if it had her walking in circles. I went in yesterday, purchased a Mattress and Box-spring and was worried that it wouldnt be able to be delivered that day being as though it was my only off day for the week. The Woman assured me that I would get the bed delivered that day. She gave me a window of time, the driver showed up around the time and I was surprised that it was the Owner of the store and his son. He also let me know that the salesperson I was working with earlier was his Wife. I thought that it was so sweet that they were a family business. He put up my bed quickly and left. Overall, the experience was great and I will be ordering again.After reading many of these reviews I think that people dont understand that this is a discount furniture store. Dont expect Crate & Barrel furniture here, it is a place to get inexpensive furniture pieces at a lesser price. Also, from my time there I noticed that they only have one truck and a few delivery helpers it probably would help to go in there on a slow day and time I suggest early Weekdays.

Great service & prices.While there I left something that belonged to me (even after telling them I would be right be.....I didn’t return until the following weekend). I visited and purchased from the District Heights location. When I walk in I was immediately greeted by staff and asked if they could be of assistance. We made our selection the staff wrote us up, delivery date was scheduled soon we cashed out and left.Employees were upbeat friendly and professional at all times.My delivery arrived as scheduled the two young guys called to keep me updated they arrived delivered my furniture they were professional,friendly and careful. I was very pleased. My experience at JMD furniture was outstanding and this will be my go to place for my furniture needs.The furniture looks great and is a great quality for the price and so easy to assemble I purchased the 11pc bedroom set with free mattress and box spring( and it’s a real mattress and box spring not a foam topper). Good price, beautiful items, fake customer service were if you receive your item damaged they tell you is your fault. What a bad experience Im having with this people after paying for a service that they did wrong. Now they dont want to give a credit and I have lost a whole day waiting for my new dresser and they told a vague excuse about the driver. After not receiving the new dresser they promised, they tell me it will be home after the drivers arrive first hour in the morning (which they open at 10AM). I call 10:40AM to give them time and the lady tells me the driver has arrived, he will be there soon. I keep waiting, go to the store, and then she tells me the driver is picking up the dresser in Baltimore and then he will do the delivery. Then she says that these damaged was us and not them while doing the mounting. I will never buy here again. I feel insulted.

I went to the location in District Heights, MD looking for a queen metal bedframe( rails as they refer to it) and I must say this was a very pleasant experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The frame was super easy to setup and is very sturdy. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend them any day if you are look for affordable prices and great customer service.

I really liked the variety of furniture, I found a different selection of household accessories neefed and the staff was very attentive but not overwhelming like some stores. They have cheap and expensive items made very well. I enjoyed the experience.

Im new in town. I found the ad on CraigList. I went into the store and was greeted very professionally. I LOVE the rugs I got and the prices were affordable for my recliner couch set. They delivered my furniture the SAME DAY! Only thing that seemed misleading was the FREE Delivery on the website. Which they explained that it was FREE delivery but not FREE setup. This is how the delivery people get paid. Understandable. Everything was set up fast and the delivery team was GREAT!

Hello my experience was great! I Love my bedroom set and Ms.Racha who was my sales person was great.I went into the store on 12/22. Just a few days before Xmas at first I was told that they would not be able deliver until the day after Christmas which was very understanding however it was delivered on Xmas Eve. And the delivery guys were great However I went back after paying it off in just 3month and the experience was terrible. So I walked out and went else where and purchased a living room set.

My experience was good and the salesman was very helpful in keeping the cost affordable and they have layaway! They will negotiate with you to give you the best deal. This was transacted at the Marlboro Pike location in District Heights, MD.

I enjoyed the salesperson when she didnt know what she was doing she asked for help so she wouldnt mess up my order but as far as delivery its a bad experience I had to put the furniture together myself was having issues I could not get in contact with anyone at the store kept getting voicemail doing business hours I was calling for 2 hours left a message and no response to my concerns you have to pay extra for them to bring into your home this was not a great experience for me with delivery because you are doing all the work putting everything together so just do pickup if you can because nothing is put together I strongly suggest that you dont use there delivery service they are unprofessional and terrible and the manager is just as worst as them mad communication skills with the customers

I loved my experience I was able to get a full sized bed plus a free box spring for $120 !!! They even helped me by tying the bed to the top of my truck for me ! I was in and out in 15 mins tops ! Def recommend buying from them! Thank you so much !

Cheap Quality furniture, It also costed $150 to deliver at my house. My 7 month old’s untrimmed nails caused this in less than a year. Leather is also loosing its rigidity in less than a year, it is tearing easily.

My buying experience was great here. I was in the store for no more than 30 mins. I signed my paperwork, paid my money and took my merchandise home the same day! The mattress is sooooo comfortable. We brought the double sided pillow top mattress and it is very very soft ! The only thing I didn’t like was that I paid extra for a split boxspring because I didn’t want the free one due to issues when I moved the last time with a whole boxspring. Which is fine but their spilt box spring is very thin. I’m praying it is sturdy. But other than that everything was excellent

Went in with a spending limit an end up spending half of what I was expected to spend for a Queen size bed, railing and box spring a total of $180 they have cheaper Queen size bed but this is the one I wanted they have some good beds besides the one I purchased but Im very satisfied an pleased also they provide shipping at a reasonable price also I bought my dad with me cause he have a truck but they also bought the bed, box spring and railing to the truck an tied it up to the truck made it home save just had a little problem my bed was tore but once I put the bed protection and fitted sheet on it Im gonna sleep like a babyThank you JMD Furniture & EmployeesSatisfied Customer
