When I drop my car off at sigmaTec, I know Im going to get an honest diagnosis and fair price for repairs or part installs. I did my own brakes for the first time and thought I screwed them up; they performed a full inspection and gave me the OK and sent me on my way at no charge (even went on a test drive with me). Had a transmission break and they referred us to a transmission rebuild specialist who did a great job at a fair price. Recently had some performance parts installed on my Focus RS and they did a great job at a fair price with very fast service. Everyone there is friendly and helpful, and as long as theyre around Ill never take my car anywhere else when I need something fixed or installed. Thank you sigmaTec!

Best mechanic I have found since moving down here 10-ish years ago.sigmaTec was very honest, and their communication/customer relation was top tier. They called me at each milestone of the repair, with information on what they found, how it could effect the price of the repair, and what the timeline for pickup was.They arent the biggest repair shop around, but their shop is clean and efficient. Reminds me of some of the mechanics from my hometown, which is a plus also. So kudos to the entire team!

But they were honest and said that it was a 50/50 chance that it might not work. With 200k miles on it, they said it would be tricky. Finally a mechanic that is honest. Not just that they go above and beyond to repair whatever has been broken on my Highlander without having to order new parts. Their prices are very reasonable. When they tell you what they think you should do about your car... its like theyre talking about their own car. If they think you can go longer on a set of brakes or filter, theyll tell you. Edit: Because of what I just had to fix on my car by another company, that I was told was fine by this company. My wheel bearings.They did do my breaks/rotors (March 13, 2020) and rear suspension( May 15, 2020 during scheduling phone call mentioned noise, at drop off asked Dave to please make sure bearings are checked, they diagnosed the wheel bearings as fine its a great car, we dont hear anything), (June 4, 2020 dropped car off to have shaking transmission checked, park was out, and I said noise was still there) After that, they seemed to want nothing more to do with me or my car. I really felt like I was being dismissed when I brought up the noise my car was making after the breaks and suspension were done. (Not the transmission, they apparently dont do transmissions, just to be clear about any motor mount rebuttal, they referred me to A Team Transmission.) I felt that they just wanted me and my old car to go away. (I have a 2000 Buick LeSabre with 87,000ish miles on it. It sat for a long time in an elderly ladys garage.)The wheel bearings WERE bad on my front passenger side wheel. Something that they could have fixed. But, let me drive away on anyway. (Im not sure if it was missed, or they really didnt care at that point, or they thought it was all in my head.)Here was my previous five star review. Im leaving it so everyone can see that I genuinely thought I had found a great place to take my car.I was recommended by a co-worker and was very happy with the price and the experience. Dave is so very nice. I didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of or that I was being nickel and dimed. Highly recommend! Thanks guys!I expect you will see a reply from them saying they did everything possible to fix my car. You will have to make the call yourself on who to believe. I really dont care if nobody even reads this. However, if you want it, my honest to God opinion, they dont want to work on older cars. Their preference seems to be high end, pricy, and foreign cars.

I take our Honda Fit and Subaru Forester here for EVERYTHING except recalls (because it feels right to make the dealership do those, and shuttle me to work) and body work (they dont do body work, FYI). Ive worked on my cars all my life; but right now I dont have the time or the space to get under my car. These guys took care of the job with a quick turn around, and almost at the cost of what Id have paid for parts myself.They didnt try to upsell me other fixes, and gave me the straight answers I was looking for. They had every opportunity to try and sell me more suspension work.I highly suggest these guys, and Ill be going back to them in the future.

This is the first mechanic I have ever had that I truly trust. Every time I take in one of my vehicles, ZB is honest, quick, and upfront about expectations and costs. When checking around, my estimates have always come in lower than other shops for the same work. I dont even live in Hilliard anymore, but still go out of my way to take my car back to ZB. Ive taken a few of my cars here and theyve always been top notch with service and communication. I brought my Mazdaspeed protege in for brakes and they gave me a great price! They called me later in the day and asked if Id want to get some black painted hub rotors cause they thought it would look better behind the wheels that I had and I was floored! That attention to detail is amazing to me. I heard about this place from some Subaru guys and how impressed they were with the service. Ive since sold the Mazdaspeed and now Ive bought a WRX. I send everyone I know out that way for service and they all come back telling me how happy they were with everything that was performed on their car. Took my forester here for smoke under the hood. Was told all my seals needed replace for $4000. When the car was done I was told that it was actually smoking because the turbo was bad. I didnt place blame because the seals needed replaced also even though it wasnt the main issue.Later on I had another turbo failure that lead to engine failure on my 2013 wrx. I paid them $6000 for a new engine and turbo replacement. When I picked the car up it was not running correctly. I took the car back and they fixed a fake problem due to misunderstanding what I said was happening. Took the car back for a third time and I was told they dont know whats wrong and refuse to fix it. When I got the car back all my radio presets and clock was the same which means the battery was never disconnected. I dont know how you can replace a motor then check all of your work without disconnecting the battery. I was told to take it to Subaru for them to figure it out. I was driving it to the dealer and the car completely stopped running.UPDATE: I didnt see the response by owner until now. You cant just respond with lies. The forester was not diagnosed with turbo failure. I got a call saying the seals were replaced and the car is still smoking because they didnt know the turbo was bad. I did replace the turbo on the street because I was told it would be another two weeks and needed the vehicle back. Once I took the WRX back after having a new motor I was charged and still had the issue. The next two times were free of charge. As far as the radio presets I highly doubt you copied what I had programmed and reset them. The battery was not discounted. What a joke.

ZB is a great guy. I had my 05 Legacy GT in there with transmission issues, and he spent countless hours helping me, free of charge on top of that.He would swap in new transmissions, rebuild old ones, etc... all at incredibly reasonable prices. If you need an independent mechanic in Columbus, I wouldnt suggest anyone except ZB!

These guys are honest, do fantastic work and are very well priced. They do what they say and they wont tell you that you need something you really dont. If they cant do it, theyll send you somewhere reputable that can. All around, it doesnt get any better than this.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars but since that is all that is there that is what they get! My family was on a work trip to Columbus from out of town when our alternator died the night before we were supposed to check out of our hotel and head home. I looked up auto shops and Sigma Tec had great reviews and they were close to us so I decided to give them a try. I called them as soon as they opened and told them the situation and they said to have it towed over and they would look at it. They said it was indeed the alternator and quoted me a very fair price to fix it. We had to check out of our hotel at 1 so they got our car in right away which I am sure pushed their schedule back a bit. Here is where they really set themselves apart from the pack. We had been hearing a noise from our engine for a while and werent sure where it was coming from. After they fixed our alternator they did a little investigating and found a loose bolt that they tightened up and that fixed the other problem as well all at no extra charge! When I checked out, I paid the exact price quoted and they finished the job earlier then they originally said and I got back in plenty of time to check out on time. The only negative thing I can say about Sigma Tec is that they are too far from my home for me to go to on a regular basis otherwise they would absolutely be my go to for any and all automotive repair needs! Thanks again for the fast, honest and quality service!

Terrible. Would not recommend. Took advantage of my wife. Reporting to BBB.Quoted good price upfront for front and back brakes to get us in the door. Once in they increased price for front brakes and said that back brakes did not need to be fixed despite the fact 1 mechanic before them and 2 mechanics after them said the pads were metal on metal.When I asked them to fix the front brakes for the quoted price they refused. They said the back brakes never need to be changed so we cleaned them as usual They then tried to charge us for cleaning the back brakes.Terrible. Would not recommend. Took advantage of my wife.

My wife and I have been taking our cars here to get serviced since we moved near Hilliard. They are locally owned and have fantastic customer service. About a month ago, my wifes car was having issues starting while she was running errands so she took it to Autozone. They said she had a bad alternator. We took it to sigmaTec the next day to replace it, and it turns out it was just the battery. They were able to quickly replace it that day for a fair price. The car has been starting great since! These guys really know their stuff.

Ive recently had two of my Subarus (13 wrx, 09 Outback) serviced with sigmaTec. One getting the 60k service, and the other the 105k service per SOA maintenance intervals. Both were offered at very fair pricing considering the amount of parts/labor required. sigmaTec was highly recommended from the local Subaru crowd, and I now see why. This is a very professional, clean, and seemingly organized shop.Dave the service writer is wonderful to deal with, and is upfront with pricing and explaining what services will be provided. The amount of knowledge is evident as soon as you step in the door.I had a very minor issue arise about a month after having my wrx serviced here, and Dave and the crew got me in, on the spot, and checked everything over/fixed for free. Honestly, based on the design of the part that I experienced issues with, Im not even sure this was at fault of the tech. My point is that they made it right, and were honest about any question I had.SigmaTec has made a lifelong customer, and will forever recommend them to all friends and family with Subarus.

Honest and knowledgeable double engineer that I have had the pleasure of working with since 2010, 7 years and I will come back despite moving to Cincinnati for new job. What sold me on the shop was when I met ZB the 1st time he stated his main goal is not letting my customers being stranded on the road (due to car issues)and he has kept his promise so far; only fix whats absolutely necessary/preventive, not upselling. With that said, I realized its also my job for taking my ride into his shop every year for top-down inspection, worth every trip and minute!

I ended up getting other issues with my car taken car of that I had put off. The garage before that said I needed an alternator!! They assured me my alternator was fine. A month later, my car is still running well.

My new favorite mechanic! I recently had a brake line rupture on my 99 Silverado. These trucks are notorious for brake line issues, so I was guessing they were all on their way out. After reading up on brake line replacement on that truck, I decided it was more than I was willing to do. I spoke with Z. B. On the phone about the issue and he was very up front about the brake lines on those trucks and if I needed to replace them all, it would be about $1,600. I asked what the charge was to look at the truck and he said, no charge for the diagnosis! I had the truck towed over the day prior to when they were supposed to look at it. Within an hour of it being dropped off, Z. B. called to let me know that only the one line was bad and that he recommended going ahead with the repair and that he would coat the other brake and fuel lines to prevent corrosion. The repairs were much cheaper than I expected and they had the truck done the same day it was towed to their shop. I will definitely return to sigmaTec in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone needing mechanic work done. Fast, reasonable, and honest!

Ive never had a mechanic tell me nothing is wrong with your car before. So trustworthy! My car was making a noise. Thought it was something wrong with the suspension. They could have so easily fed me bullshit that needed to be fixed to make a profit but they didnt.

Engine light came on, had AutoZone put the code reader on, p1130, p1135 came up, which is oxygen sensors. Had a conversation with Dave about what is going on, he said they would check everything out and go from there. I asked him about a quote they gave me almost a year ago about my oil leak, would they still honor that price when I decided to get it fixed, he said oh yes. Had to rent a car for 5 days, because they said they couldnt get to it until Monday. Had my car towed there that Sunday night. Didnt receive a call for awhile, so I decided to call he said the car has been taken apart for the oil leak repair, Im like what? Dave I sent it for the lights, to get the o2 sensors checked, he brushes it off as a misunderstanding, said they would make it right and then proceeded to tell me that Toyota doesnt leave a lot of room to move transmission on a Lexus and they had problems and so on, Im thinking my car is botched and will never run right again. He then tells me when they put it back together, they can check the codes, I said that is what I sent it for and who does a major repair without notifying owner 1st? He still saying misunderstanding. He tells me next day, they drove and drove no light and that my car is running like a sewing machine. Im thinking how, with the rough idle, little jumpy(stall like),fumes. He also said with them unhooking battery cable that resets lights. I rush out pay, turn in rental, have my daughter take me back to drive car home. As soon as I started it up Im like, the repair that is needed right now is still needed, I just spent my whole pay check on a repair that the Lexus dealership told me to keep an eye on the levels and will need to be repaired eventually. My car usually runs real smooth, no noise. As soon as I pulled on the street, the engine light comes back on, I head to AutoZone again to get the codes check, he prints it out and said its all your o2 sensors. I take it back to Sigmatec, I run in get Dave, Im like what is this dripping noise? He said oil returning to the pan, Ive never had that before. I guess this other guy that comes out is the owner, he comes out put the code reader on, hes like yes o2 sensor and a misfire code. Told him what I sent my car out for this, he said what do you want me to do? Whats done is done. I said I wanted my car fixed right. I then say will just go to small claims court, he then said Ill fix it for free. Why would I want them to do that, when he is clearly upset with me for there misunderstanding/mistake. I said I dont see how people sleep at night taking advantage of people. He said he was gonna sue me for calling him a cuss word, when it was indirect and speaking on all people that lie and cheat. He wouldnt let me close my car door and I left that place in tears. I now believe the guy on the reviews when he said his wife was taken advantage of. A lot of these repair shops are taking full advantage of people. This could cost you your job by still not having your car repaired and broke from spending too much money on a wrong repair. Its up to everyone else if you choose to go here, I cant tell you not to. Now lets wait on this dishonest response.

Man what a secret! Got us a new control arm installed, sanded and painted the damage to subframe, and all at a decent price in just a few hours.

The only place I will bring my Subaru WRX. Service prices are very reasonable, excellent communication, and very easy to get an appointment scheduled within the week. The SigmaTec crew are phenomenal and offer small town customer service.

My experience with signaTec was excellent in every way. Tracy, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and accomodating. The shop area is spotless, and his staff seems quite competent at their jobs. When I visited sigmaTec, I noticed that, among the cars being serviced was a rally car - and those guys will only deal with the best. SigmaTec provides free diagnostics - and their diagnosis is accurate and honest. When I had my 88 Accord towed to sigmaTec, Tracy himself did the diagnostic. To my embarrassment, the problem with my car turned out to be pilot error, rather than mechanical or electrical in nature, and Tracy refused to accept a diagnostic fee, asking, instead, that I simply give sigmaTec an honest review here. Im delighted to do so. If your car needs work, I dont think you could pick a better place to have it done.

I took my 2005 Forester XT to SigmaTec for a prop shaft replacement. I had no appointment and even though they were busy, they got me in right away. More than fair on the pricing for labor as I supplied my own part and had it done in an hour. I will be taking my Subaru there again and recommending them to anyone I know who needs work done. Thanks again guys for getting my XT back up and running so quickly!

These guys have been dealing with me for too long now, haha. But these guys work hard for you and tell you exactly what is wrong with your car. I went to LITTERALLY 20 other machanics before finding sigma tec and thank God I did. They have great service, they are CHEAP! And they do not cheat you out of your money. I had a problem with my 2001 Malibu back in 2017 and one mechanic shop said it would cost 5k to fix and sigma tec fixed it for $750 dollars. They are AMAZING. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

ZB (the owner of sigmaTec) is one of the best. Honest, fairly priced, and skilled. Give sigmaTec a try if youre currently using a Big Name shop (Firestone, NTB, Monroe, etc) - I switched from NTB a few years ago and havent looked back.

My Honda CRV was occasionally hesitating while shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. Initially, I took it to another mechanic in Hilliard who told me they found metal shavings in the transmission fluid and that the entire engine needed to be rebuilt for approximately $2200. When I brought it to SigmaTec for a second opinion I was told there were a few metal shavings, but not a lot. They flushed the transmission and gave it a tune up for well under $300. Ive had no shifting problems since and its been a year now. SigmaTec saved me a small fortune. What an honest shop!I now live across town, but will continue to drive the extra distance to SigmaTec knowing theyre experts I can count on.

I have had so many list all the repairs I need only to find from another mechanic that none of the list was needed. Sigma Tec is honest! Second: One that can service your repairs in a timely fashion.
