Normally I shop at Giant Eagle. However, Kroger is closer and I didn’t have a whole lot of time, so I switched it up. I was quickly reminded why I shop at Giant Eagle. The onions were covered in bugs. Sweet corn was out of stock (It’s August in the Midwest - how is there no sweet corn?). The sale price of the milk on the front of the cooler was higher than the regular price on the tags inside. Many shelves were empty or in disarray. Store overall just feels dirty. Self checkout required an employee to complete the purchase since I guess they assume their customers are thieves. What’s the point of self checkout if I have to wait 5 minutes for an employee to show up? Shop instead at Giant Eagle or Meijer even if it’s slightly more expensive. At least it’ll be clean.
Regularly allows solicitors to hangout at the exit trying to sell you something
I have frequently been to Krogers on Hillard Rome rd. I just wanted to give a thumbs up for the management and mostly the staff.Customer service is probably better than any grocery store I have ever been in. The store is very busy with many things. It is my go to grocery store period.
Not the best Kroger, seems to have a weird stench of urine throughout the store. Also they always have a spectrum guy in the front entrance which is a huge turn off.
Used self checkout and the worker Chris was the fastest self checkout worker I have ever encountered
I really enjoy living within walking distance of this Kroger location. The store is clean, well stocked, and has a nice bakery/sushi/seafood/meat section. They have plenty of self-checkout lanes, so Ive never had to wait to checkout. The shopping plaza itself can get pretty busy sometimes.
Picked up an RX, they were quick, friendly. Even with a line of 4 or 5 people ahead of me, I was still out of there within 15 minutes.
This location has gone down hill since the pandemic started. Rude cashiers with attitudes that dont reply when you say hi, how are you doing today?, managers walking around complaining about employees being on their phone, confronting the employee in the middle of the floor while only 2-3 lanes are open on a Saturday at 11am with no one helping the customers bag their items. The pharmacy drive thru hardly open anymore.
Every single time I go in, the lottery machine card reader does not work. After calling today, I am informed they are still waiting to hear from the company that services it. Apparently, theyve been waiting for more than a year because thats at least how long the problem has existed. I suggested they might want to make another phone call. Waiting.
The kroger on Hilliard Rome rd no longer accepts cash for groceries. Plastic only
Kroger3.25$ a gallon prize vs Gant eagle ore sams clab more enxpesive I live close hire I never find low gas..So you guys loosen costumes
If I could give a 0 I would they lie about when the medicine is ready
Never stocked with what I need and 930pm on a Monday and the employees are closing down and leaving only one lane open with two lines spanning the entire store. Never shopping at that disgrace of a Krogers
This is one of the best stores I’ve ever been to. Everything is always super clean and the staff looks like they genuinely enjoy their job. Great products and discounts. Special shout out to mrs. Sara she usually works nights at the self check out and she is one of the best grocery store clerks I’ve ever seen. She brings a real sense of peace and happiness to the place and make it my favorite store where I live and is always super kind. 5/5 stars
Hilliard Rome Rd Kroger. The nice lady that works the self check out in the mornings. Shes very helpful and makes the grocery store experience a little brighter. Thank You
Horrible Rotted Fruit and Long wait times. Do not shop at kroger. Also Customer Service is awful.
Krogers is a in a great location and has always had great customer service. Even during this covid pandemic has had what we need. Ive lived her 17 years and Krogers has always nice employees as well as met our shopping needs.
Lazy, rude girl couldnt be bothered to stand at her post long enough to let the last two customers in line check out. The service is never great, but this was just awful. If it wasnt so late, Id have left what I was buying and gone elsewhere. Employees can use a serious tune up on their customer service skills.
Great grocery store great people
Ordered my groceries to be picked up between noon and 1pm. Been sitting here for 45 minutes so far. Then when they are brought out the attendant doesnt apologize or offer any explanation. When I unloaded my groceries, there were 3 2 liter bottles in 1 bag. The bag broke, the bottle busted and Coke went everywhere. Zero common sense. Wont be back.
I lived in Hillard 6 years and I have never experienced what I did tonight. My nephew came to this location and was racially profiled and harassed he was buying gifts cards for me for my employees as a reward they told him no get out they were calling the police. He did absolutely nothing wrong. This place will never get a dollar of my family’s money and will be hearing from my attorney.....With everything going on in the world this was so hurtful
I almost got rammed into by an associate with a tall cart who wasnt watching where they were going or caring about anyone around them. The cashier was extremely slow and all bag clerks were busy, so I went to the end to help bag so we could get out sooner. The cashier completely ignored me, bagging everything herself and sending one bag at a time down. I gave up and a bag clerk came over and the cashier let things fly down so he could bag. By the time we left she had a line going all the way to down the aisle. Terrible experience.
Love this store employees are really nice and store is always clean and stocked
It was good. They just keep moving the products and every while i get lost take a lot of time to complete my list.
This Kroger at Roberts and Hilliard Rome rd has the rudest customer service staff I have ever experienced in retail. There is generaly always a long line at guest care and other service departments. In addition to being poorly staffed, the store is dirty and smells of rotting meat. I have to imagine that the problem this location has is a lack of leadership. Update...from Weds Aug 4 2021...1015pm only check out open is self check out were 22 customers are waiting to be served. When a customer behind me asks why there is only one cashier working, the manager fails to take ownership of the issue and derides the job performance of the uscan clerk and goes on to explain that she is supposed to be on vacation. In photo, she is the female waving her hands.
Dont use their curbside pickup! Tried it twice and each time there were long delays getting our orders picked up. 1st time we waited for one hour, 2nd time almost 25 minutes. Substitute items were never texted to us like the other Krogers do, so I never had a chance to accept or decline items. The one man who loads you tried to tell me I wasnt able to reject an item because it had already been processed. Money wasted on items we dont use and lots of time wasted. Would love for money to be returned to us but Im well aware kroger doesnt care.
Worst experience with the pharmacy
I am done with this pharmacy. Two times they have texted prescriptions were ready only not to be.ready long lines. Going back to cvs..
Nice store, clean and well lit.
Thank you to the Floral Department and staff for a beautiful 5 sweetheart rose wrist corsage for Homecoming weekend. I was impressed. The size was perfect and the advice given at time of purchase was spot on. Thank you.
Love the food accessibility and presentation. Very nice!I give it only three stars because of repeated experiences with the pharmacy. They are very, very slow. Understaffed for the evening rush . Last time, took me thirty minutes to get my prescription.
I have been going this pharmacy almost 5 years. But last couple time I had very bad experience about this pharmacy. There is more than 6 or 7 people work all the time but only one person helped when is really long line they should come and help but tthey didnt.I will go back to CVS.
This is a nice Kroger. Clean. It is smaller than many. The employees are nice, generally helpful. There are a few standouts, you will know them when you engage with them. This store seems to like to re-organize frequently so you may have to ask where things are. Nice neighborhood store. They do employ teens frequently so that will be an experience you have in the summer. Their clickit curbside service is good. The pharmacy is well stocked typically. Their store brands are often better than the national brands.
The last 2 months have killed my store loyalty.First they renovated. Then they moved everything. Everything but fruit and veggies. Not even the employees knew where things were. Not even managers knew where things wereTried scan and go. Hasnt worked 2 of 4 times I have used it. But you dont find that out until you check out.Click list cant give you a weekend pick up time unless you order 2-3 days in advance. My list isnt complete 3 days out.I have shopped at this location for 13+ years. In the past month I am wondering why I do.
This particular Kroger on Hilliard Rome and Roberts road smells and many times I have been disappointed in some of their items, the storage of them and how the store is run. Some days its better than others. On a brighter side I do find their produce is fresh and plentiful. I can find most things I need though prefer the Perimeter Kroger over this one.
My husband and I have been doing our click list order here for a few months now. Up until now we only had 1 issue and it was resolved quickly. This past weekend my husband picked up our groceries, they were having a system glitch and my card was charged 3 times and would have been a fourth except we had no more money in our account to run it again...$266 in additional charges were taken out. We understood that because it was a weekend our money would not be placed back into our bank until this week. We were told to contact the manager of the click list department to discuss a resolution. I called Kroger yesterday only to be greeted very rudely by the customer service department. When I asked to speak with the manager of the click list department, I was informed I will try to reach him. After waiting for a little bit I was able to contact him. He informed me that We were on his list of things to do He stated that he would call me or email me to let me know of a resolution, which he failed to do. Before contacting my bank this morning I wanted to give them a call to see if there was any progress regarding this issue, only to feel rushed off the phone with no promise of a resolution. I am incredibly frustrated with this Kroger at this point. It has been a huge inconvenience to have to transfer additional funds into my bank account to make sure that nothing over withdrawals....so disappointed that this matter has not been taken a little more seriously.
Never enough cashiers. Completely ruins shopping experience. This will not change, but it makes everyone miserable.
Im super impressed with this Kroger. The employees at the registers do a phenomenal job, quick, polite. And I love they bag your groceries with care. I used to shop at Miejers up the street but with be driving the extra few blocks to come here instead.
This old lady named Jackie at self checkout kept eyeing me and my mother while checking not in a friendly way more like assuming that we were going to steal. The machine beeped which alerted Jackie she came over and checked all of our groceries making sure we hadn’t stolen anything which we didn’t. Then she proceeded to stare my mother while paying, The machine had an error and caused my mother to re enter her card she puts her card back in and Jackie watches her put in the card and watch her type in her pin acting as if we weren’t going to pay.
In and out. Almost found everything I needed with no trouble. Unfortunately, I dont see the 15 bean soup on sale anymore though. Otherwise I wouldve given it 5 stars
Staff is very polite and helpful even when you dont have a question. Carts could use a little maintenance. Got everything I needed except one item and barely any line for the registers.
Usually very friendly staff. Carts always available/retrieved and I like the produce selection. This isn’t a complaint against the company, just be wary with your littles more than normal in a parking lot. The people driving through this lot are worse than other lots. Driving too fast and don’t like to yield for pedestrians.
Do Not Get Grocery Pick-Up Here!!!We ordered our groceries 1/30/2020 by midnight for a 5-6pm slot. We were contacted at 4:45pm on 1/31/2020 that it was delayed. Okay, I get it, we pull up at 7pm because we were told come after 6:30. I was told a possible 10 minute wait for pick up. It is now 7:27pm, still sitting here and there are multiple cars ahead of us. TWO cars left without their groceries. I could have walked in and dealt with the weather for this hassle by now.... stop over booking your grocery pick up closets Kroger! Will be contacting customer service after this trip as well.
Best Kroger Ive ever been to. Great prices and cashiers helped me put items on the belt! Fantastic crew!
A great place to obtain your food. Great deals on meat! Nice selection on produce.
Went into store friday 730pm!4/1820. Many of the young man working were in each others face not practicing social distancing. It was terrible !!!
In my opinion, this is one of my favorite Kroger stores. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Cannot give a 5 star due to the fact that product selection has gone down quite a bit in the last couple years. The prices and weekly sales are still nice!
Fairly decent store and they are definitely making strides to improve the customer experience. The Scan and Go feature is a great addition and makes shopping a breeze! I rarely use traditional check out anymore. Product selection in some areas can be minimal and it would be nice to see some of the areas such as the International products have a wider assortment of products.
Wow, to say the least this stores customer service over the phone is horrible. The employees like to be mouthy, talk back and say thats not my problem your right it might not be your problem but the fact that you work for the company and are suppose to satisfy your customers is your problem. If you cant fix something or satisfy your customers then you have no business being in the industry. This is now the second Kroger location that I have been too that lacks customer service now I can see why people pay the extra buck and shop at GIANT EAGLE! I guess I will be taking my services to them as well.
They have really nice employees, and they hire lots of high school kids, great job. BUT... Lately they have been running out of everything. Cant seem to keep shelves stocked.
Seeing how Im here at night it looks AMAZING! The prices at this location are really good. Looking for a quick meal or a meal to prep for dinner. This is the place to go. Great alcohol selection
Great selection, good prices, and everyone who works here is always very helpful. Layout is easy to navigate. Store is clean and well lit.
Tried out the new Clicklist service today. I loved it! Shopped online, filled my cart in my own time where I could check my pantry inventory, and ordered. Super easy (just like making an online shopping list) and all my digital coupons automatically applied so I still saved a bunch! I ordered some produce and we able to leave them descriptions of what I like (firm, weight, etc.). No more shopping in store hungry, waiting in lines, or dealing with other shoppers. Just order, arrive, and they load your car!
This store is getting more and more crowded. So far theyve done a good job keeping the checkout lanes staffed. They could improve with getting the deli counter staffed. There is always a long wait to get help here...need more people and slicers. Ive also noticed a lot of empty shelves like theres an issue keeping up with inventory. I enjoy shopping here because I see a lot of the same folks working and I like talking with them when I see them.
Sale items were easy to locate. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store was brightly lit and clean.
Great experience. In and out with no problems. The employees were very polite.
Clean and friendly atmosphere.
Great visit super fast got everything I needed real quick
Its Kroger. Fast checkout.
Found everything needed for supper for this week. But needed to let cashier know my 5 for 5 did not come off on a few items. Put on light for assistance, pushed it 3 times and waited, the person was at another check out lane talking with another employee with their back to their work area. I had to apologize to the other shoppers in line and i left the checkout counter to go ask for assistance. No apology, the cashier got upset with me and stated she never got the notice for help. Whatever happen to staying in your work area and making sure all customers are taken care of.
10:30 in the evening and no cash registers open except for the the self check out. That was staffed by a 70 year old lady who was so far over her head that the line to use the machines was over 15 deep... Cashiers at this hour is always a problem here... Get it together Kroger
I never never return to this pharmacy ever again . The general store isn’t much better either!!!
The staff here has always been super helpful, dropping whatever they might be doing to answer a question or help to find a particular product location. Never a bad experience.
We drive past Meijer and Walmart to buy groceries specifically at this location. Produce is always fresh and the workers are friendly!
Im always greeted with a smile. The staff always offer to help me find items for quick and convenient shopping!
This past weekend store is in major chaos. Everyone is bumping into each other they isles out and moved in awkward spaces. But the main reason for my one star is I bought to 32 packs of water bottles and out of those two packs I had 20 water bottles that had holes in them by the time I got home. I think the plastic is so thin that any kind of bouncing will cause them to leak. To me saving a dollar or whatever it is. IS NOT WORTH the time and effort to clean up a mess like that. I will gladly buy another manufactures water than Krogers again. It really isnt worth the hassle. But then again Kroger probably never reads their reviews so they probably dont care. Its out the door and they made their money.
Why is the girl working the customer service desk on sundays so unfriendly? Is she upset that people are spending their money there because she has better things to do? I wasn’t able to do what I needed to but that’s not the issue. She was incredibly nasty and acted as if she was bothered by me merelywalking up to her counter.
They usually have whatever I need in stock, and have friendly service! The pharmacy can get really busy, but they still do their best to give good service.
I shop here regularly. Its a clean store with decent stock. However, this rating is solely for the ClickList service which is garbage. They rescheduled us from the night before to 11 am today, but then I had to wait 45 minutes (after calling a second time to complain) before they brought the order out. Was told there was no paperwork because it was a previous day order and was most likely going to be a no-charge order. I get home only to find a half dozen items missing, and 2-3 items that were the wrong brands. Also, there was no receipt to be found anywhere. My wife and I have been sick for the last few days, and thought this would be easier than slogging through the store. Wed have been tired, but at least wed have what we were shopping for. Now, we still have to go back because of missing items for dinner tonight.
This store is delightful. The personnel are all friendly and helpful. The produce department is beautiful and all the shelves are well stocked.
They were very busy this afternoon but, they were well staffed, well stocked and the checkout was quick. Kroger still has the best customer service of any grocery in the area.
Recently expanded. Nice cheese area as well as bakery goods. Meat section is fantastic. Seafood is really hit or miss.
Nearly a 5 star rating and a great place to get basic items. However, they seem to take little to no care when it comes to organic or international foods. I have spoken with the manager and they hope to start correcting this deficiency soon. We shall see.
Went in the store around 9:30 pm. Everything was fine until I checked out. Only self check lanes open. Scanned my items. Had coupons. Have to ping for an attendant. They had one covering about 8 lanes. She finally is able to come over and scan my coupons. My lane isnt taking cash so I write a check. Have to call the attendant and wait again. By the time she comes over, the system has lost my transaction. She spends ten minutes trying to pull it up to no avail. I leave my check, have no receipt, and am late picking my son up from work. What a mess. If I wanted poor service like this Id go down the street to Walmart.
If you have a mask requirement, enforce it. Today was ridiculous and your employees did nothing address people not wearing masks.
The carts here are abismal. They lock up and dont work. Ive noticed this strong going down hill despite new technology. They do not collect the carts and on many occasions Ive walked into store and had to find a cart in store. They arent located near door. They leave them outside in the stall I suppose...
Theyve newly remodeled so finding your items in the regular spot is not going to happen give yourself some extra time.
We are new to the area and decided to try their delivery service. We had a absolute horrible experience and the worst customer service Ive seen in years on the phone. We bought $230 dollars worth of groceries for this holiday weekend as we have family here today that will be staying. We tip generously of 20-plus percent because we quested the hour deliver. After 2 hours of waiting we call them and they state that we are unable to get our food till 6 p.m. which is 5 hours later. We asked them to cancel our order because we literally have family from out of town waiting on lunch. We explain will just come and buy it ourselves since we have people waiting. She cancels out the order then tells us there is a hold on the $230 for 24 hours, howeverwew the hoildays explain you might not see it till Tuesday. I explained the the situation to the manager and he says the order has already been canceled and they cannot help us. By this time only a minute or two had passed. we explained that we dont have another $230 to spend on food and that we would like to reopen the order. We was shocked it was canceled without us receiving that information ahead of time and us confirming it. We asked how we are supposed to get food for our family for this holiday and they pretty much told us we are out of luck. we asked to speak to the biggest store manager. They were very short and offered no help. So now we have no food on this holiday weekend and family from out of town.Absolute horrible customer service and the manager kept repeating can I help you with anything else to try to change the subject. We will be calling corporate over this. They really should give people all the information especially since it was a glitch in their system and they where at fault. The worst part is we have 2 diabetics here that shouldnt go long periods with out food.
Great shopping experience since the remodel. Easy to find and great quality
Very nice store, not from Hilliard and the store is great. They have all kinds of stuff!
This is a good store with a lot of food options. But where it excels over stores like Meijer is in the quality of its produce.
I was dissatisfied with produce and hardly no products throughout the store. Completely out of our bread. shop there at least 2 times a week. Everytime we purchase potatoes I find 4 or 5 bad ones in a 5 pound bag. You really should change purveyors.. I hope your shelves will be fully stocked next visit or I will go to giant eagle. We live 1.3 miles from krogers. I really want to continue to shop at Kroger. Our cashier Jason was great. We left with a smile on our face. Great job Jason.
They are resetting the store, AGAIN, which means you cant find anything. Everyone is wandering around looking for what they need because its not where it was. Its very frustrating to get used to a stores layout and the, suddenly everything is moved around and the signs are all wrong. I shop at this Kroger because it is the smallest store in the area, and I have a disorder that makes it difficult for me to walk more than 10 or 15 minutes. Now I am walking the length of the store, sometimes two or 3 times to find what I need. I may have to go elsewhere if they keep resetting so often.
They have no idea how to manage their Clicklist schedule here. Shouldn’t allow 100 orders for pickup in a given hour if they can only fill 12 in that amount of time...
By reading the most recent reviews, it looks like Im not the only one having issues with them having attitudes on the phone and their online services. This is some of the worst customer service Ive ever had! I used their deliver services today and I didnt get my food however I have a huge bill on my credit card statement. The managers at the store decided to keep blowing me off as well and told us it would take a couple days for it to be refunded.I think I will be reaching out to corporate as well it sounds like some of you others should too. This type of stuff is ridiculous and they havent been treating the customer right.Me and my family honestly feel scammed!
This Krogers has my simple truth limeade. When you send out coupons, you should give them for products I purchase. Am giving this Krogers a five star and not the whole chain.
Fast friendly stop. Everything I needed was in stock and the prices were less than I expected.
Mostly fresh fruits, lines are not too long. They DO NOT take android pay, although they advertise that they do. You can pay with Samsung pay. Not sure about apple pay.
Fairly average for a Kroger, but it does have some nice departments such as the Sushi, the olive and cheese bar, and the florist. Produce and meats are almost always very fresh, and the prices are good (usually lower than some of the other Krogers in the area).
Its not bad. Their produce area is decent and they just remodeled recently. Their pharmacy is helpful. S
UPDATE: 10/16/21NO CHANGE AVAILABLE! CARDS ONLY! This location is phasing out cash all together. All u-scans are card only, no cash back option. When you go through an actual line, when their open, the cashiers look at you strange when paying with cash. Then they want to tell you about the change shortage that the U.S is currently having & they will not give you your change either. They dont seem to understand how cash works & their the ONLY ones with a change shortage. Banks laugh at people when they ask about the change shortage because there is NOT one. Just at Kroger... Because somebody cant do their job.The items i need always seem to be out of stock on a regular basis. This has been a consistent issue with this store. Now that they have remodeled they have even fewer options on items. Its like they have downsized their inventory. Im constantly having to go to competitors to get what we need. We dont want to do this but are left without a choice.
This Kroger seems to have a hard time keeping the shelves stocked. They are always out of some of the things on my list.
Clean friendly staff great produce over doing it on lastest grocery treads
The Kroger at Silverhorn Plaza is always clean and the associates are always willing to go over and above what is asked to help their customers.
Absolutely horrible customer service for their delivery. As Chad Springs explained below...I dont understand how I can see every thing Ive ever ordered including fuel center purchases and cancelled orders on my Kroger App but their customer service cant see the order they cancelled and reinstate it?!?! Completely ridiculous.
Great customer service!!!
Always have what Im looking for and prices are great
A good Kroger. Clean. The people who work there are very nice and helpful.
As always, great. Guys in produce are great as well as check out
Bought ice from the cash register. Cashier said that they didnt have big bags. When I went to the cooler on the other side of the store they had a ton of the big bags of ice. I ended up paying more for less ice. I asked to have my receipt adjusted. Several associates in the area said they couldnt because they closed the register. They couldnt do anything for me. They never apologized for their error. I will go back to shopping at Giant Eagle.
