This is one of the best local coffee shops I’ve ever visited. First, the coffee. It was a full-bodied Guatemalan roast and easy to drink. A great brew. Next, the atmosphere. This shabby chic building is gorgeous. Combine that with spacious seating (including a wraparound balcony!), smiling service, free WiFi, and plenty of parking on the square, and this is almost the perfect coffee shop. You can take your kids there (plenty of toys and games), take a date there (upstairs is quiet), or work remotely. Even if you just want to read a while, it’s perfect. Additionally, there is a strong community connection as they rent out (?) their side shelving to local artists. You can see all their work and buy it through the shop. Highly, highly recommended.
I stopped here while on my way up to north Texas. I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice this shop was. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and they even had lotions in the shop that smelled incredible — had to get some on my way out.
Stunning space with incredible treats and coffee- has been consistently delightful and delicious since their start! The family and staff are lovely and amazing as well!😍
I was on a road trip from Austin to Dallas and found this incredible coffee shop almost accidentally. What an outstanding company, their expresso was out of this world, perfectly crafted!! The service was 5 stars, the decor and scenery is cozy and warm, antique and rustic feel. A rare place, with an amazing team of people making a statement with their excellence!! Did I mention that I was French :)
Their new location provides a totally different experience. Extensive work has gone into providing a cohesive, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere that combines the feeling of a modern restaurant with rustic accents such as wood paneling and wrought-iron finishing. The baristas are friendly and helpful, and the coffee is strong without a bitter after flavor. Of particular note here is the inclusion of various works by local artists and craftspersons, as well as an assortment of books available to read by the patrons. If you live in Hillsboro, or on your way through, Id recommend a stop here at Overflow.
Hands down my favorite local business to support!! They most delicious mochas, pizza paninis, and chocolate chip cookies around!!! This place has the best atmosphere, and every employee I’ve interacted with has a contagious positive energy! I’ve never had a bad experience here and can count on Overflow for consistently yummy (beware they are strong) coffee drinks.
Love love love this place!!! Only wish they wouldn’t close so early. Delicious food. Creamy delicious coffee.
Beautiful old store front location. Great service. Plenty of menu itemd. Staff was friendly. Food and coffee were tasty. They have some menu items that were created for them specifically.
Very clean, wonderful staff, very welcoming environment. Me and my 3year old enjoyed the visit!
Great coffee, yummy food, nice people - trifecta! The owner is very kind and has created a friendly space with delicious choices. If they have blueberry togas when you go, you must get one. They are ridiculously good! Savory breakfast items and tomato basil soup also are recommended. Skip the corporate coffee shop on the freeway and drive five minutes into town for some deliciousness. You wont regret it.
Such a cute place and friendly staff. The coffee is really good, including the frozen blended coffees! Not overly sweet like Starbucks, but sweet enough for those who like a little coffee with their cream and sugar.
Delicious!I needed a pick me up on the way out of Hillsboro but I didnt want an overly sweet fast food coffee. I got an iced Spilling Bee latte and its perfect! Not overly sweet, but you can taste the honey, cinnamon, and of course the coffee. I will absolutely be back.
Wonderful coffee shop! I stopped in here and I’m so glad I did. I’m a hot beverage fiend - espresso, coffee, chai, you name it. I had the best espresso ever - the Spilling Bee. It was the perfect amount of honey, vanilla, milk and espresso. I enjoyed it outside with a view of the courthouse in downtown Hillsboro. Charming place with nice people and tasty pastry offerings. I loved the crunchy Trujillo chocolate. Go here!
I have not been inside but the service in the drive through is always top notch. During the holidays they made suggestions on new drinks to try. The other coffee place on the Highway has never done that. Everything I’ve tried, including some breakfast items, is great. Great job guys, and I’ll see you soon.
A neat coffee shop. We all loved our drinks. Definitely worth the extra miles off of Interstate 35.
Cute little coffee shop, great coffee and Wide assortment of Rishi teas and baked treats and other food available. Staff is very friendly. I noted they have Udis gluten free bagels available. We got a pour over coffee and hot Rishi Morrocan mint tea to go. All would have been perfect but my husband coffee spilled all over him in the car when he tried to take a sip. When they put the lid on my cup she said the lids were tricky and had to be put on in a specific way or would spill. She tried several times and said it was secure. We did not try drinks until we were back on the highway. When I took sip of my tea it also leaked over my hand and onto my clothing. So. We could not enjoy our drinks on the road and our clothes and car seat were stained. Please get some safe to go cups! OBVIOUSLY you are already aware there is a problem. We would recommend bringing your own travel mug or enjoy at the shop. I would change my rating to a five if I knew the to go cups were safe.
Got a strawberry limeade with strawberry poppers and it was so good! Didnt wait long and the staff was super nice and personable!
Was visiting from out of town and met a friend here for coffee (this was about halfway for both of us) and we loved it! The prices were great, the space was nice and big and bright and cozy. Staff were super friendly, too.
Great coffee shop. They have some art as well. If you are looking for a quiet place to read a book and enjoy coffee. This is a good place. Lot of reading area and chairs
Love the decor! I remember the place when it was still T.B. Bond pharmacy. Good coffee and drinks. So far all of the baked goods I have tried have been delicious and fresh. Havent tried any of the prepared food items yet!
Very impressed. Came here for the coffee. Will make this a regular stop passing through Hillsboro. Way, WAY better than the burnt stuff they sell at Starbucks.
Lovely coffee, great customer service.
Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches!!!
The young people who work here were polite. We enjoyed our coffees and teas; they were good. The others in my group got just-baked chocolate chip cookies, which, they said, were good and like homemade. I cant eat wheat, so even though I didnt get anything, I looked to see if they had gluten free options. I didnt specifically see gluten free, but noticed a keto option. Also, this coffee shop was clean and the restrooms were clean. There were no bad smells or artificial air fresheners if thats important to you, like it is to me. There was a reading area with comfy chairs in the back. Formerly a pharmacy, the building had a nice historic feel, but bright and fresh. There was a mezzanine level with tables and chairs where you could sit and enjoy your coffee and companions, read or work on your computer. Nice black and white tile floor, and polished woodwork lent to the ambiance. There were items for sale made by local artists and crafters. I thought it was a little expensive, but no more so than Starbucks and similar places. We spent $32 on six drinks and four cookies, so you be the judge. If you want quick and cheap, go to McDonalds. If you want a well crafted drink and pleasant, relaxing atmosphere, go to Overflow. We had a nice little visit here as we were passing through Hillsboro that day. I would go again.
Beyond great service! Limeade was OUTSTANDING!
I always love stopping in for my chai tea. Everyone is so helpful. Stace is great. They even try to get one vegan dish to serve. All their food is tasty.
Coffee is great and owners are very friendly. Food is really good, ordered the daily special was very good!
Surprisingly beautiful historic coffee shop with great coffee and fantastic bakery items. I got the lemon rasperry muffin and the blueberry toga (like a scone but better). We highly recommend!
Lovely place with a great menu, and nice atmosphere! I definitely recommend.
Great coffee shop in a wonderful setting . Breakfast bagels are excellent
Top notch coffee. Friendly and helpful employees.
Lovely place and very good coffee
My experience at overflow Coffee was simply amazing . The owner Stacy Hunt she is amazing very friendly, kind, warm, compassionate, caring, patient, charismatic. Staffer was absolutely awesome... I wish there were more places like overflow coffee in town where you can sit in a quiet, clean, cozy environment .I love the Photography. Sheri Hemrick ..I also love the fact that they have Jesus there...
The atmosphere of this place is absolutely fantastic
Wow, this building is gorgeous! Great atmosphere, excellent service. A fun place to stop while shopping historic downtown Hillsboro.
Cool little shop to stop by and see some local art. You must arrive early for the baked goods I was too late for anything sweet. I opted for the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant which was buttery and the eggs were fluffy and delicious. The bacon was ok, but perfect for what I needed. My only future request is warmer hot chocolate. The Bahama drink was so surprisingly delicious I drank it down really fast.
Lookout Starbucks Overflow is on their way. Excellent coffee and service! I will be back.
So cute and friendly! Very Covid safe
I was just passing through Hillsboro and wanted a good cup of coffee. I absolutely loved the pour over they made me with a dark roast. The atmosphere is awesome. The staff is kind. I look forward to the next time I pass through Hillsboro again for another taste!
I visited by myself this time because I longed for one of their lattes. They come in the perfect cup for enjoying it to its fullest. I also had the spinach quiche and this time it had a hash brown crust so it was gluten free! This is such a quaint place located in historic downtown and more than a coffee shop. Sandwich plates with sides are served daily as well as soups and desserts. A unique place to visit with a friend or by yourself like I did on this visit. A good selection and variety on the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Art by local artists displayed for sale on the walls. Friendly staff and a favorite gathering spot.
Outstanding in every way ... service, fairly priced, EXCELLENT quality baked goods, teas, and coffee items. Ny only complaint is that their spy ans almond milks are not unsweetened, which defeats the purpose of using a healthier non-dairy item. The day I was there all those were sweetened as we checked the labels.
I have been here often since they opened up. Its small with a few seats inside and some outside. I like the coffee and the service is very good. Sometimes it can take longer to get a cappuccino. Just keep in mind that this is not Starbucks. It takes a little longer to make a drink from fresh than the way its done at SB. We have bought some of the food here also. Its pretty good. No complaints. Its clean, the coffee is good, and the people are nice, the price of a cappuccino is good.
Friendly service, great atmosphere, and decent coffee
Atmosphere, staff and coffee were all good.
A hidden gem within Hillsboro
Overflow was a great stop along our bike ride. We will return again.
Beautiful place and employees were fantastic. So friendly and helpful. Love it and will go back over and over.
Great coffee and lovely vibe inside the building
This is a cute coffee shop with a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed our visit. There are board games and coloring books and various seating. Their prices are decent. We experienced great customer service.
A-MAZ-ING mocha! Homemade chocolate sauce, very welcoming staff, great new location.Plenty of empty shelves scalable for artists to display their work. Mezzanine tables with outlets and charging ports. House specially foods and drinks. Cozy area in the back for relaxed conversations.Cant wait to visit again!
Love the quality of the coffee and the good. The owner is so nice and sweet also. Wish it had been here when I was growing up here
Always great service and great food. Get the Caramel Frap. Its delicious! Their lunch items and desserts are pretty dang good too.
Love this little coffee shop. Great lunch menu. Not overwhelming. The staff is very knowledgeable in their coffees and tread. Recommend
This is such a great local business! The employees are always so sweet! My friends and I come at least 3 times a week. There is an awesome outdoor seating area to enjoy the morning weather and have coffee with your friends.
Great coffee shop in downtown Hillsboro! Local artists have home decor, soaps and other wares for shoppers, as well as great service and good coffee!!
My husband and I stopped for a cup of coffee before looking at an antique store just off the square. We had been curious about the shop since it opened. New and old came together perfectly! There were ample places to sit and savor your cup of joe. We also saw outlets where you could plug, in if thats your thing and usb ports if you need a quick charge. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and quick to serve. I was hoping for southern pecan coffee but the carmel pecan was very tasty. Scones would have been wonderful too but maybe next visit!
So good and the owner is so sweet. Love this place. Wish it had been around when I was growing up here
I stopped in for a business meeting and this place was ideal. The interior is cozy and inviting, with a few decent sized seating areas, perfect for large and small chats, alike. The barista was friendly and walked me through getting my order just right and the different bagel options (YUM).My only complaint is they had essential oils diffusing.
Best thing that could have happened to Hillsboro. Awesome place with awesome people, awesome drinks and awesome food. Love that they do vegetarian/vegan options every week and are always trying new things. Expect a special treat every week.
Nice set up but my broccoli soup was cold. And for 13 $ I like more than 2 teaspoons of fruit was good though
Awesome personalized visit everytime. The staff is very friendly.
The staff is amazing and so nice! My only problem was the tea not being very strong. Which is okay I just prefer strong tea. They have a WONDERFUL limeade with coconut. It sounds odd but its the next limeade Ive ever had
The delicious food lives up to the beautiful historic renovation. Love this place!
Coffee here is better than Starbucks, food here is also really good, and its fresh, its also a nice place to sit and read, or hang out with friends, would highly recommend this place to everyone I know. This place has good service, the staff are very kind, and restrooms are very clean.
This place is amazing, as soon as you walk in you get that home feel, you feel relaxed almost, you just comfortable when you walk in. Me and my grandma ordered a normal coffee and a caramel macchiato. The caramel macchiato is a little strong but thats how you know its real coffee. The workers are nice.If I could give this place more stars I would.Definitely recommend going here for a relaxing morning, or evenings.
What a great atmosphere! Totally super cute! Really a great place to have lunch!
Coffee is delicious! Staff is super friendly and efficient. Clean, well decorated, and over all a wonderful place to sit and drink your morning coffee.
Great quality drinks and friendly service. Highly recommend this place!
One of the best places to stop in Hillsboro. Its definitely on the top for me!
Love this place! The ladies there are so friendly and the coffee tastes great. They always have little fresh made deserts that look so yummy.
Best coffee and staff at any coffee shop I have been to. Be sure to check out the artisan products along the walls and upstairs.
Beautiful new location. Enjoyed the service and food.
One of my favorite places to get a nice cup of coffee and go chill they make u feel like home .
This little coffee shop may be small but its big on taste, variety, quality and customer service! First time here and we LOVED it! Great coffee, baked goods and wonderful lunch menu, definitely recommends it
They have drinks that starbucks doesnt offer. Like turmeric ginger tea. Good healthy drinks, and a better variety of sugar free too. Even a chocolatey minty one!
Great food, great coffee, and super friendly staff! A really nice reason to get off 35.
Warm and welcoming staff and patrons! The perfect warm-up and recharge during a rainy road trip! Muffin was fresh and light while the chai was perfectly filled with warm spices!
Went here for the first time this morning with my husband and the quiche is some of the best I’ve ever had. Girls at the counter were very nice and helpful. Will be back when we pass through hillsboro again
Best coffee in town....probably in Texas. Great healthy food. Outstanding service.
The location is easy to get to, beautiful set up (I wished I had time to sit awhile) fantastic coffee (I got salted caramel mocha). This former coffee barista was impressed! I plan to make it a normal stop when passing through.
Great little place to gather and chat. Its a bit small but tasty smoothies like no other for sure!
Obsessed with this place! The coffee is so good plus, they have low carb drinks and food available.
Amazing drinks and desserts! Cutest little coffee shop! Can’t wait to make a visit back
Great coffee and even better people. Always a friendly environment. A lot more friendly and customer focused than the big chain coffee shops.
I love the atmosphere and the purple rain latte with almond milk. The breakfast sandwiches are the bomb too. God bless!
Cozy and quaint coffee shop. Delicious muffins and amazing coffee. Definitely going back when I’m town.
