Miss Carolina.Rodney is the best. We caught 6 sharks and a couple of starfish ;) He knows his stuff and is very personable and funny. I highly recommend this private charter.
The people that work there are super helpfull... they had pretty much everything I needed.
If youre looking for an awesome time fishing, book your trip with reel justice. Incredible time fishing with him. He put us on nice red fish. Super helpful. Helps with everything you need and extremely knowledgeable. My wife isnt really experienced with fishing and he helped her out and she felt really comfortable. This fishing trip is good for everyone. From non experienced to experienced. Youll have a blast! Thanks Justice! Youre awesome!
Helpful, helpful and more helpful. These guys are the best! Peter gave me great customer service and local knowledge. If you want to fish in Sea Pines, these guys are your one stop shop.
Young lady in store was so helpful and informative my guide had canceled trip due to weather she told me about a Lake in the area was able to get my kids a couple of fish thanks again
Went out on the Hobo yesterday morning with Devin as our Captain. Had a GREAT time!!! 8 of us in the group so we had been warned before reserving that we might be taking turns fishing as that was a lot of rods to be up at once. He had plenty of rods to keep us all busy. The first place we stopped we were not getting much action so he took us to another area and we did some reel fishing. Pun intended. Caught fish, several baby sharks, several bigger young sharks and a ray. We enjoyed watching some dolphins between us and shore. Devin was great at getting everything started and frequently making sure the bait was still there. He let those needing little help do their own thing while helping those more novice fishers to make sure they had success. Definitely will do this again next trip here. Would and will recommend to friends.
The girl working the desk was awesome. Got us all hooked up with fisherman combo. Cant beat it. $50 for rod, reel, rig, hooks, bait, bait knife, and line on the reel. Great spot!
We had a wonderful time on our trip on the Hobo with Captain David. My son caught a four foot shark! He was thrilled! We all were! We also had an absolutely delightful visit with a local dolphin! He came right up to our boat and seemed to want to have a nice early morning chat. The good captain allowed us a little time to visit with the dolphin which is time we will never forget. Finally, we got to participate in gathering about 50 small fish in a fishing net! It was a first for us! Captain David led us on an amazing trip. His knowledge and experience made him a great captain, and his kind disposition and patience made him a great fishing instructor. Thanks for a spectacular day! It was a true blessing to enjoy a part of nature we rarely get to see.
Friendly folks willing to share lots of tips about fishing on Hilton Head to a first-timer. This place was worth the drive!
Great items and fairly priced.
Ive been coming here since I was a young boy. Ive bought cast nets and fishing gear here. The workers are very knowledgeable and help you get set up for whatever your fishing adventure is. The charters are also good. Love this shop. It is a small store physically, but they definitely have everything you would need whether you are shark fishing on the beach, going for reds, crabbing, or even going for bluegill. They have frozen mullet, shrimp, squid, and more. Andy is a friendly guy and remembers me when I come in. Great customer service.
Prices for bait are comparable to Walmart and the service is 100 times better.
We had a great time on our charter. We fished for two hours aboard the Reel Justice with Captain Eddie.First of all the experience was fantastic as we caught several fish, we could also tell that the captain was taking us to some great spots, and made every effort to get the fish to bite. Fantastic experience, highly recommend.
The store is great. Word of advice...NEVER, NEVER, NEVER book a so-called Deep Sea Fishing Trip out of HILTON HEAD. You will not be deep sea fishing and the only thing you are likely to catch are small sharks and stingrays. You have to go 5 or 6 hours offshore before you begin to get into the Gulf Stream and deep water. That kind of trip is going to be over $1,000. If you want to book a guided fishing trip on Hilton Head, then do a four or five hour inshore trip, either in spring or fall focusing on redfish, flounder and speckled trout. You can also target Sheepshead., If you want to go on a real deep sea fishing trip, then save your money for Florida, namely South Florida, where you can be in the blue water, Catching Wahoo, Sailfish, Marlin, Mahi and other tropical deep water species within sight of the beach or Just a little further. Remember, the only decent saltwater fishing in Hilton Head Island are the 4 or 5 hr, but half day inshore fishing trips. They typically run you about $400. You can catch redfish, speckled trout, flounder, And possibly even Sheepshead, tripletail, And depending on the time of year Cobia and Tarpon.
After the captain was given our group at the end of his (apparently too busy) day, we got lines in the water after he first smoked a cigarette. We understood not catching any fish, but were really surprised when we were shaken down for a tip for the effort when our trip was finished. We gave him one even though his effort never even involved moving to a different fishing spot, tolerating his sarcasm, and not even checking the lines until it was time to pull them at the end of our soak. The icing on the cake was his reply that we should have tried another company if we wanted to catch fish! Let that be a sign for the next folks, take his advice and go somewhere where the captains enjoy the sport and not just taking money from visitors for an over priced boat rides. The boat was called the Hobo, and that is how we were treated.
Tackle shop was great. Not happy that we had to spend $8 per vehicle to get to the South Beach!
Very nice selection and knowledgeable staff.
So... full disclosure.I didnt buy anything here... I was struggling with finding fishing spots on the Island and the guy working the counter showed me on a map a few places to go. Cant say enough about how being helpful goes a long way for your business. Would recommend this place for everyone!
My cousin and I took two 11 yr old boys to figure out what they needed to fish from the beach. The two men working were very helpful and nice. The boys ended up not catching fish but they did catch 16 blue crabs at Lands End Beach.
Nice staff but more T-shirts than bait and tackle
First of all, I feel ripped off. We went on the Boomerang and didnt catch anything. We were bottom feeding on our deep sea fishing trip. Our captain was casting the rods and my parents had to ask to fish. We spent 80% of the time riding on the boat. On our glorified boat ride, nothing was caught. We were fishing in 20 feet of water. So much for deep sea fishing. Dave, who I wouldnt even call a captain, had not even said hello to us. I dont like freshwater fishing, but for a moment on this boring trip, I felt like I was bass fishing practically in the mud. We renamed the boat Boomerpain or Doomerang.
My in laws wanted to go deep sea fishing as we have done in the past in Naples Fl. We booked the Boomerang for a 4 hr. Charter on our vacation. In Fl. We would bring 3 large coolers of fish home from a 4 hr charter. The boomerang is not deep sea fishing, all we did is troll for 4 hrs. You never get out of eye shot of HHI or Tybee island and 15 foot of water is the norm not deep sea fishing. You dont get a pole you just sit on a hot boat for $530.00 and if you get a fish on you reel it in. Two small sharks which we had caught on a previous charter is what we caught and threw back. You will not bring fish home to eat and then they want a tip for simply driving the boat, which they did not get! Very disappointed and feel ripped off, dont waste your hard earned money!!!!!
Great place to buy fishing equipment in Sea Pines. Very helpful.
After several disappointing, fishless fishing trips on The Drifter, we decided to try a charter through Blue Water. To quote Yogi Berra: it felt like déjà vu all over again....nice folks and no fish.
It was my first time fishing in Hilton Head. The man at Blue Water Tackle was helpful with getting the right equipment and tips on places to fish. Caught plenty of sharks abd my first ray
Nice shop with reasonable prices for the location. Staffed with people who know their jobs.
Kinda crowded but very good items and friendly staff.
Helpful staff. Resort area prices.
Had a lot of fun
