It was so easy to book, bikes are great, and the price is reasonable. They drop the bikes at your hotel/house/condo! No need to do a single thing - they just appear! We loved having our bikes!

We have rented bicycles from Hilton Head Bicycle Company in the past and have had great experiences. Unfortunately, our recent experience wasn’t as good. One of our bikes that were delivered on Oct 3, 2021 arrived with one tire with 18 pounds. (much to low to ride the beach). The person delivered the bikes without ensuring that the tires were properly inflated. This should never occur. Rode the bike to the store where the tire pressure was corrected. Will be looking at other companies next season possibly.10/12/21 UPDATE:Since I posted my review of the Hilton Head Bicycle Company, I received a phone call from the owner this morning apologizing for the issue that occurred during our stay in Hilton Head. He indicated that he did discuss my concerns with his employee who dropped the bike off and ensured me that his company will strive to make sure everything is proper on his bike rentals. I really appreciated the personal concern from the owner. Great job!

Awesome company. Super easy to book online. They delivered and picked up. I’ve done both regular bike and electric and I will say electric is the way to go! We got to see so much more of the island. Rode on the beach over 6 miles. Zero complaints of this company. Called them because we didn’t know how to charge the bikes up, they didn’t make me feel silly and were very helpful. Great job. Will use them again.

Great experience renting 4 bikes for our week long vacation in Hilton Head. Prices were competitive relative to other options and bikes were delivered to and picked up from our rental house. Bikes were in good condition and a lock per every two bikes was provided. Will definitely rent from them again next time we’re in Hilton Head.

Great bikes!! We have been coming to Hilton Head for 47 years. Mostly renting bikes. These are by far one of the best companies. Very well maintained bikes and I can tell you we have rented from a lot of different places and had some very bad experiences. Go with this company and you won’t be disappointed!!!!

Bikes were delivered before we arrived! Kids jumped on the bikes immediately when we arrived. Bikes were in good condition. Bike locks and a front basket were provided. Lock combo was sent via text. My family loved exploring Hilton Head Island on bikes! Its the best way to get around the island.

Phillip was outstanding - so knowledgeable, patient & helpful! We first spoke to him over the phone about e-bikes and specific brands at which point he invited us to the shop to test ride.His level of knowledge about all the bikes and helping us understand the best fit for us was superb. He walked us through all the features/modes, how to use the no assist, pedal assist & throttle as well as add-on options (fenders, racks, phone holders, etc).*Edit to say, this was all with his knowing we planned to purchase our bikes online, however we purchased from this shop simply because of his knowledge and assistance.We test rode a couple and fell in love - were now proud e-bike owners!Ill add pictures once we get the bikes home.

For our recent vacation we brought our own bicycles but were short by one bicycle that we rented from HHBC. The place was busy and I also needed help with a broken seat on one of my bicycle. The person helping me was super efficient where I did not have to wait much at all and he also replaced my bicycle’s seat at no extra cost to me. I appreciated the excellent customer service and recommend this place to everyone.

Bikes were delivered and waiting for us upon arrival! The baskets were a great addition for hauling groceries and drinks! When we left we didnt have to worry about the bikes as they were picked up!! How great is that?!!! Makes vacationing a breeze.

Ordered 10 bikes in advance. They were at the Sea Pines house we rented when we arrived. All in working order and the correct sizes. Prices were fair. Discount for advance ordering was welcome. Staff answered their phone in a timely manner and were friendly and friendly and informative.

We had an issue with one of the bikes this year and they were very quick to replace the bike and very friendly and professional when talking to them on the phone. Truly unbelievable service & prices. I have gotten my bike repaired at Hilton Head Bicycle Company twice the past year (once for a tune up, once after a wreck) and both times they were quick (three day turn around even after they told me it could be a week), affordable (way cheaper than anywhere else in town), kind (like, theyre so nice and so helpful!), and deliver an excellent quality repair without upcharging for unnecessary additional bells & whistles. I highly recommend this bike store for rentals, repairs, bike accessories, and to answer all questions about bikes on the island. 11/10!!! Big fan!!!

We have been using HHBC for years. They are very reliable. Any time theres been an issue, like a flat tire, they have had a replacement bike to us very quickly. One person in our group is very tall. This year we found out they had three larger sizes of bike to accommodate him. They have a variety of sizes for the younger members too ranging from attached baby seats to kiddie carts to youth sized bikes.If you order more than 14 days ahead, you can get a discount. Just tell them where youre staying and your bikes will be there waiting for you.

Just got the VERY kindest customer service from Hilton Head Bicycle Company!! I had recently purchased a bike from them & inadvertently lost my code to the bike lock. Instead of making me wait to try to figure out the code, they just handed me a new lock!! They are the best on the island!!

Philip took us on an amazing ride throughout the town. Being from Idaho it was nice to have someone show us the great sights. The ride down the beach for several miles was my favorite!! Thank you for the great experience!! Definitely will be back!!

The bikes were delivered and picked up as advertised. One of two of them could have been in better shape...tires could have been inflated a little more. But I could have also called when I was there if it bothered us that much.

We have used HHBC for several years for bikes for our entire family. The prices are always very reasonable, the bikes good quality. When we have had bike fit issues with growing kids they have always taken care of these quickly and with ease. This last trip, the home we rented provided a few bikes so we only needed a few additional bikes for the kids. Since youth bikes don’t usually have baskets because of the size, I called and they lent us two baskets to use for free throughout the week. A small but much appreciated gesture! We will only rent from HHBC for our annual trip to HHI. Give them a try!

My bike rack failed on Route 95 while on a trip to Hilton Head. My kids Diamondback and Specialized bikes were heavily damaged. Bradley at Hilton Head Bicycle Company repaired them both the same day I dropped them off for a VERY reasonable price. They saved our vacation and the bikes are in better shape than they were before the incident. I HIGHLY recommend HHBC.

Amazing bikes with great service! We just enjoyed Avocado electric pedal assist bikes for a week. They were so much fun! We could ride all around the island without getting tired. Best part of the trip!

Rented bikes for my family of 4. They were delivered and picked up directly to our condo. The process was so easy and we enjoyed riding on all the paths, into Coligny Plaza and on the beach. Would definitely recommend Hilton Head Cycle Company!

Hilton Head Bicycle shop is wonderful to deal with. I purchased bikes from them and they did a great job when some Maintenance was needed after a few years in the salt air. Picked up the bikes, did the repairs, charged a fair price and brought them back. Today we had a flat tire and would have been happy to get it repaired in a couple of days, but they were able to work us in and do the repair reasonably and the same day. They have made a customer for life!!!

We thought about transporting our bikes to the island but HHBC had great pricing for 6 bikes for our visit. even better they dropped the bikes off to our resort and picked them up when we checked out. the bikes came with locks which were great for traveling around town. Bikes were a bit worn but operated just fine and included baskets for transporting items. great service and a great price - we would use again and recommend them for rentals.

I have stopped in Hilton Head Bicycle Company before and was greeted warmly and professional. This past weekend I had an issue removing 6 bolts from a bike rotor and being afraid I would strip them trying to remove them, I took the wheel to HHBC. Well, Andrew took the wheel and immediately worked to remove the bolts. Customer service at its finest. He packaged up the rotor and bolts for me and I was able to transfer the rotor to a new wheel. As soon as the bike world returns to normal and they can get bikes again, I will be back to purchase for my wife.Thanks Andrew, you have created another Raving Fan.

Very nice FULL service shop. I Went in to ask some questions about my Day6 bike I bought used recently. Told me straight up that he wasnt that familiar with them. I told him I would try and bring it back later in the day. When I got back to the shop, he had already done research on the bike and then answered my questions. This was done for a prospective customer cant wait to see the service when I am a full customer.My recent experiences with shops lately are more like were super busy bc of covid or some attitude about something.

We rented 6 bikes with helmets and child seats for the kids plus one of the WeeHoo pull behind attachments. Everything was there when we arrived and in good working order and when a tire went flat they were there. The bikes were oiled and ready to go which is a plus if youve ever rented bikes with bad bearings...hard to pedal.

Bought a bike here during the 2020 pandemic. Bikes (surprisingly for me) where extraordinarily hard to find for my 410 wife. She was on the phone for a large part of the day trying to find anyone within driving distance who had something. The folks at the Bicyle Company were very kind and patient while we stumbled through our wish list. They even stayed open a little late to give us time to drive the hour to pick everything up.At the end of the day, they sold us a solid bike at a fair price. They were friendly and informative. They were everything we look for in a service provider. Thanks guys!!!

We have our bicycles serviced here, even though we bought them at another shop. Excellent, prompt service and fair prices. We live at HHI 6 months/year and this is now our first choice in bicycle shops.

Great, speedy service. What I liked best is the color blue. All the bikes in Sea Pines were the same color but ours was blue and that made it much easier to find. The locks were easy to use too. Pick up and delivery was a cinch and so convenient. Also the price was better than Sea Pines. Oh there is a special if you go online and book early.

They were accommodating with delivery and the most affordable one the island after some research was done. The adult bike for tall people was also a good bike for someone on the heavy side of things, which was great because I wasnt expecting it to work so well with me on it. We will use them again next time.

Our family & I were on the island over over spring break. As soon as we arrived I called around the island getting bicycle rental quotes. These bikes were the cheapest to rent. Bikes were great! Each bike came with its own basket and lock.This company was great too work with. Very friendly. They delivered our bikes within the hour from me calling. Looks like the pricing has increased to $24 for a week rental but still cheaper than most companies. Bikes were great and the basket came in so handy to help us cart our stuff around.They delivered the bikes to our hotel in a very timely manner. Having the bikes and being able to ride on the beach and surrounding areas was a highlight on our trip. Would absolutely recommend this company!!!

Weve rented bikes from here two years in a row. Their prices are competitive with other Hilton Head locations and they have a very convenient online ordering system. The bikes show up at your condo/house the day you arrive locked and ready to go and are picked up on the day of your departure. We had some bad luck and had a flat tire one day and by noon the next day they had replaced the bike with a new one with no issue. Great service! The bikes are in pretty good shape, certainly no issues getting around town in them comfortably. The only issue (and its probably my fault, not theirs) is that the online ordering for a adult cruiser with an attached kid bike is not completely clear that the price includes both the adult bike AND the attached kids bike. For some reason I thought you had to order them separately and so I ended up with an extra bike. It turned out to be a good thing as we had friends join us. Again, to me the website wasnt completely clear, but that could totally be my error.

I rented bikes last week with this company. I rented a kiddy cart. The bike and kiddy cart were in good shape. Locks were easy to use and also in good shape. Overall, the process was easy and as promised by the company.

None of the confusing rates where you rent two get the third for half off type of stuff - and the rates were exactly as posted and didnt make me try to figure out what I was going to have to pay. These guys are awesome. Ive used them several times before. They have great rates, very friendly, and always have bikes there when they say they will. I use them exclusively when my family and I go to HHI.

Good: Affordable prices, delivery and pickup, have childrens bikes and seats.Bad: One bike and helmet were the wrong size, one seat was rusted shut.Ugly: Our 3 day rental ended at 10 am on the third day so it was really only 2 days.

Horrible bicycles and childrens seats. The buckles on the childs Wee Hoo did not stay latched and it was not safe. The tires were flat on one of the bikes and even though we ordered womens bicycles for a specific height, we received mens bicycles that were way too big. We had to call to have the bikes exchanged several times and then we just gave up. Rusty baskets, rusty breaks, handle bar alignment messed up. We decided to go out on a limb and try this company this time but NEVER again. So disappointed and just not worth the hassle.

Very disappointed! Went with this company because they had attachments that would accommodate my 3 children. Called to add helmets and was told that my order was cancelled because they were sold out! This is 2 days after I ordered. I got 2 confirmation emails! A phone call and an apology would have been nice. I understand mistakes happen.

This year was the first time we ever used Hilton Head Bicycle Company. Terrible experience. They delivered only 5 of the 6 bikes we ordered. Then, picked up the bikes a day early without notifying us. When I called to have bikes returned, only 4 out of the 6 worked. We had to leave one bike at Sea Pines Shops because it broke on the path. All we got from them for our weeks worth of frustration was Oh Jeez! Will never rent from them again.
