I had a wonderful experience with the candy store! There were so many options of candy!! The highlight of my visit was trying their salt water taffy, it was unlike any other taffy Id had. None of that hard stuff, this salt water taffy was chewy and super flavorful! Ill be stopping by here next time Im on the island for sure!!
Lots of fun candies and sodas. Prices were good and the candy I have had so far the candy is very tasty.
THE SELECTION IS GREAT AND THE STAFF IS KNOWLEDGEABLE. AND FRIENDLY. GOD BLESS
Cute candy store but horrible customer service! The older lady behind the counter was so awful and mean to us, I was tempted to leave our bags of candy and just go but knowing I would have some heartbroken kids, I bought the candy ($15 worth) and decided I will just never give them my business again! How can you work at a place meant to be fun and happy but be so ugly to people...it definitely put a damper on our day.
The guy behind the counter was great, gave us directions to a restaurant we were looking for. Got some taffy which was really good. Might go back to get a chocolate alligator.
The candy was amazing and sweet!! But the woman there was salty and bitter. I cant believe I went through this horrible treatment at such a sweet store like give us a break. And we were just there and she saw us looking at the props so we can maybe buy and she came over and yelled at us and one of hem fell when we werent there and she was such a meany pants!
I got on here ready to write a review, thinking Id be the only one to make mention of the mean old lady behind the counter - but it would appear I am not the only one who has had just an awful experience with her.I know the owner of this establishment through a mutual friend and it shocks me she allows this unkind and unfriendly woman to work for her. The customer service is non existent and no candy - that I can buy anywhere else - is worth getting treated like that.We live on the Island, so when we are in the neighborhood we like to get taffy to send it to friends up North - however, we wont be going back. Today was the last straw.Shame on the owners for allowing her to treat their paying customers this way.
The candy was really good, but the woman working there was extremely obnoxious and rude. She yelled at people for no reason and treated her customers like trash. The prices are also really expensive, but thats a given for a tourist trap town. Ultimately, if you want candy and can deal with her rude attitude, come here. If you want to have a pleasant experience on your trip, dont.
We love this candy store! They have a bit of everything and their salted caramels are the best....so is their taffy...and the chocolate alligators....and their unique soda selection...
Stop by for some yummy bacon flavored soda! All your traditional old school candy, plus the new stuff too.
All the oldies but goodies from the 60 & 70s anything you can think of. Great place to visit.
Price per pound is a little much, but other than that pretty good.
Everything I purchased was fresh... thats hard to find in a candy only store.
Whatever candy you would want, its here. Nice atmosphere.
The candy is what you would expect and the place has a nice coastal atmosphere but older lady working the counter was mean to my kids and yelled at them. I certainly will not go back to the store because of the lack of customer service skills displayed by the employee.
Cool candy. Nice people. Sweet store.
Lemme tell you what I had to do to get this candy. So I decided to bike up to the little shopping center to buy some ice cream, so I hopped on my bike, rode as fast as my little legs could carry me, and arrived about a mile later. When I arrived, I decided to instead detour to the candy store before hitting the local Ritas. The candy store had that thing going where you pick up a bag and fill it and so many pounds costs so much money. 1/4 pound cost 3 dollars. I was like ok, I have 12 dollars on my card and 1 dollar bill so imma get 1/4 so I can still get custard. So I began to fill up my bad with great fervor. Due to my lack of depth perception or whatever you call it, I quickly exceeded a quarter of a pound and the first weigh showed the bag at about .43 so the 1/4 pound limit I set for myself did not prevail. I said screw it and decided to get a full pound. At final weigh in it was 1.03 lb leading to a cost of around $12.32. Well see the problem is I only had $12.17 on my card and a dollar bill. So I handed both to the ancient woman working behind the counter and she looks at me with utter disgust and says I cant do that, you cant just split it like this and I said well ok then Ill put some back so I put back like 6 laffy taffy and then walk back to the front. She then puts my card in the chip reader and literally shoots me devil eyes saying its not working. And I said oh ya the chip doesnt work a lot of the time slide it and she said it wont let me slide it and after like 6 sighs she goes (pointing to the bag on the counter) you know this is a complete waste of candy and money right? Because I cant put this back. Acting like it was my fault her card reader wasnt working. Like excuse me, no. I had the appropriate amount of money to pay for my candy, so dont get all prissy with me. Eventually she individually typed in the card number and then asked me for my zip code so I gave it to her and she goes it doesnt fit in a bitchy tone. IT DIDNT FIT BECAUSE YOU TYPED IT IN WRONG. eventually it went through and I rode home but I am really mad at the service.
