Wanted to see what this donut place had going on. I’m so happy we stopped this morning. It was a little crowded when we arrived, but hey, they can only make fresh to order donuts so fast. If you are in a hurry…don’t go! We are patient and had the time. The wait paid off! These donuts are amazing. My fav was the peanut butter with raspberry. My hubby’s is the chocolate with chocolate sprinkles.

This is THE BEST donut place. They make the donuts right then when you order them and they have lots of different toppings. They are so soft and warm since they make them right then and there. Staff is delightful as well.

These donuts were at hit! I usually do not care for cake donuts but these were sooo good. Light and delicious.

Dont plan on going inside this location. Also, do t plan on walking up and getting a donut. If you dont order online then your out of luck. I know the pandemic has been rough but this is the worst Ive seen it this far in. Now the donuts still taste great and are wonderful but the joy of watching them get made is gone. My 4yr old was really looking forward to a unicorn donut but we were unable to get one online.

If your looking for a really fresh and hot doughnut, look no further. These doughnuts are amazing. And not to forget the super friendly staff!

They lived up to their name. Freshly made. Donuts were still warm when we got them. Donuts are made with an almost yellow cake mix. Very tasty! Doors where closed with a table right behind the doors blocking entry, which was pretty confusing. Maybe they need to put a chalkboard out explaining their ordering process changes due to Covid-19. We watched a half dozen groups walk up to the door confused, trying to figure out what the process was.

Really disappointed. The toppings you get are not what is advertised. The attached photo shows the powdered and Oreo cookie donuts I got this morning compared to what is advertised. Notice the difference. A light dusting of powder or cookie compared to the thick coating in the phot from their marketing materials. Was not worth the hour wait in line. Not to mention that they got my order wrong.

Quick service, staff was incredibly friendly. Donuts are served warm and are awesome. We got a 1/2 dozen of donuts for our family of five and they were finished in less than five minutes. Our 11 yo asked to come back multiple times while we were still in the restaurant

So glad this place has new management and is open!!! I ordered 1/2 dozen donuts last night to be ready at 7:30a today. Only had to wait about 5 minutes for the donuts, but that wait is nothing compared to how this place used to be! Workers behind the counter had such a great, upbeat attitude that made it a great experience. The donuts were so delicious as always. This place is such a staple for Hilton Head! Tip: Place your whole family’s order online the night before for pickup first thing in the morning if you can. This gives your kids time to really pick out what they want, and then they’re ready when you come in.

Great people, great service! This is a must stop when on Hilton Head especially with the Kids. Yes, this is chain but everything is fresh. Shout out to the manager Scott for being so accommodating with our little one. We can’t wait to come back 🍩!

Amazing donuts, you can customize them if you chose! You have got to try these when you are in Hilton head area! The staff was super nice, very welcoming! The milkshakes are handmade and so delicious!!! Will be coming back!!

Our first time coming to a Duck Donuts after hearing so much about them, and the hype lived up! Donuts were hot and delicious, and there was so much selection! Only complaint is that the mostly teenage employees weren’t as professional as they could be.

Pros: the streamlined process of custom donuts was neat. Ive never seen that before. The variety of donut icing, toppings and drizzle was wonderful.Cons: the wait was awful. Given how understaffed most restaurants seem to be these days, this isnt the primary reason for 4 stars. We ordered apple pie donut and pumpkin roll. The apple pie was slathered in a cheap applie pie filling, and the pumpkin roll was just topped with pumpkin puree. Added to the general messiness of the donuts, and it was a little underwhelming when you consider we waited 40 minutes for 6 donuts.

This location is NOT a representation of true Duck Donuts. This place was very disorganized, the toppings were barely on the donuts (half spilled in the box), and the donuts themselves were So Small. Worst is that the workers seemed quite unhappy despite trying hard to keep things flowing. A guy who seemed like a manager was especially dry and unpleasant to us and the workers.Ive had Duck Donuts elsewhere and they are absolute gold. Very large, fluffy, warm, coated in toppings. Give it a try! But not here.

Damn good fresh hot to order donuts. The choices are many the flavors inventive and sweet. These round battered donuts are good plain but topped to order with maple and bacon is next level.

I dont think there are nearly enough stars on google to give this place a rating. This place just KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. I had been craving a donut all morning, and we looked it up since its right down from where we worked. I ordered a couple of their specialty donuts because I thought they were interesting and we wanted to try it, and I ordered a vanilla donut with chocolate glaze and sprinkles. When I say life changing, itd be an understatement. I feel like god himself came down and made this donut just to reward me for being an okay person in life. If I could describe this I would say that its literally heaven in your mouth. Ive never tasted batter like this before. How?What are your secrets?I dont think a good review is enough. You made me a new person with your donuts.I cannot say it enough ONLY BUY YOUR DONUTS FROM HERE. This is phenomenal.

These were wonderful and the guy working was alone to handle the orders and making everything. He was patient and did a great job. I wish I would have gotten his name. I know he has to get his steps in everyday. Make my daughters day.

Edited 7/25/21: Heard there is new management so decided to try it out this morning. Amazingly delicious donuts, very friendly staff, and while we waited in a line it wasn’t unreasonably long given the fresh warm donuts we were rewarded with in the end. The donut cook even gave my kids a few “rejects” while we waited in line which was an awesome way to pass the time. I’m so glad they got their groove back and am excited we can add this back to our “must do” list whenever we visit.…Donuts are delicious when we have ordered previously but this place needs to get their act together with ordering in 2021. The app didn’t allow an order to be submitted and the website didn’t work well either. They need a bigger staff especially going into the busy season. There are better places on the island for coffee and donuts! Hope to change this to a better review in the future.

These are the most delicious and unique donuts we have ever had! Theres such an assortment of choices and not the typical donut store! This just made our trip home to Indiana (always be a KY girl). Very clean environment and friendly, customer service A+!

For those that dont know, you must order online in advance. You cannot come to the shop, order online and pickup immediately. Theres a minimum hour wait. We placed an order, found out it would be an hour, left and came back to pickup. Kind of wish wed been able to cancel the order but wasnt intuitive enough on the website to do so. The donuts themselves are cake donuts. Toppings are fine but I prefer yeast donuts, as theyre lighter. First time at a Duck Donuts and have heard so many good things but not for me!

Arrived about 8 a.m. and observed a line outside and assumed it was because of social distancing. Decided to go down the road and come back. At that time, around 8:45 there was no line but a family of 9 was walking up with us as well as others being dropped off to grab some donuts. On the door was a sign that stated they were only taking online orders which seemed fine. Placed order online for a dozen assorted so it would be quick and easy. After adding donuts to my cart it stated no time slots available. Changed it to 1 hr wait time. No slots available. Changed it to 2 hrs. Still no slots available. Who would wait 2 hrs for donuts? The previously mentioned family of 9 all spent their time patiently choosing a donut for each family member just to find out they had to wait hrs to get it. Attempted to contact the shop by phone but got an answering machine. No mention of required online ordering on their website or social media. Another Hilton Head establishment not prepared for business.

The absolute worst customer experience I have ever received. Put my order online (through the website) and it gave me a 15 minute wait time... when I arrived in 15 minutes they said they did not receive the order and it will be over an hour... OVER AN HOUR!!! I understand all businesses are struggling and short staffed but I did not have an hour, I politely asked for a refund. Not only was I refused the refund, I was treated so terribly by the employee and the manager. I was so absolutely disgusted by how businesses have lost the art of how the customer do in fact come first. Not only did I not get my order, they blamed the app I ordered from (which mind you is THEIR WEBSITE) said they are not affiliated and not their problem. I received a confirmation 90 minutes later that I picked up the order ( I did not) and stole my $20.00. What a horrible way to treat a customer and an even more disgusting response to take my money without delivering the product.There were 2 other guests in front of me complaining about the exact same issue I had with the company and they too sent these folks packing without a care to providing any solution whatsoever.Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere with people that will treat you better and not steal your money.

Delicious 🤤 had to make our order online and pickup in 45 minutes. Think they shorthanded ATM. We never miss our chance to grab while on vacation.

Really cool experience at Duck Donuts. They have these laminated sheets where you can customize your perfect donut and boy did we. The line was pretty long, but that didnt stop us because watching the donuts come out was entertaining. The gentlemen in charge was soft spoken and efficient as he took orders then hopped over to be donut architect.Eat these warm and theyll definitely surpass your expectations. DUCK!

I had never had multiple orgasims till I ate a sausage egg and cheese muffin with a birthday cake donut. I didnt know I was about to question everything I thought I knew when I put the food in my mouth. I DIDNT KNOW! But now I do... and I can never unknow.

Wouldve been a great experience if the workers were actually professional and not slinging doughnuts around and having icing fights while working. Pushing and shoving, playing around while making the doughnuts isnt exactly what you want your customers to see and experience on their first time at Duck Donuts. The teenagers were busier playing around having icing fights and slinging sprinkles at each other than getting our order correct or even making the doughnuts look presentable. Not a great customer experience.

Donuts were made to order so very hot and fresh. But so hot the frosting melted and we had to wait to eat them. There is one table for dine in. I was talking to the staff and got ignored when someone they knew came in. The only donut flavor is vanilla. The donuts and coffee i ordered and wasnt made as i asked or as advertised. Overall a solid donut but not anything to pin on the map.

What a variety of donuts, you build your own with whatever toppings you want. My glazed donut with apples, bacon and salted caramel drizzle was wonderful, my mouth is watering now when I think of that donut I had @ 2 weeks ago. Be sure to get at least 2 donuts for each person, even the toddlers wanted more when they finished their first ones. Best eaten warm, while you are there in the store.

We visited Hilton Head for the Labor Day 2020 weekend. We’d been social distancing and quarantining for the past 6-7 months at the time, so this getaway was much, much needed. Our first stop was to eat the most delicious hot donuts on the planet. Highly recommend!

Don’t eat here if you have any concerns about COVID or hygiene. I just watched one of the staff cough all over while she was making donuts. She was originally wearing a mask but took it off after awhile.

Mind blown. These were so good. The blueberry icing was the bomb. My favorite combo (I think) is blueberry icing, coconut, and raspberry drizzle. These things are hot and delicious. Eat them in the store for the max moistness.

If you want custom old-fashioned style donuts with lots of accoutrements, this is your place. While fairly pricy, they give you a unique experience in donut delight. We got 3 dozen for our huge family and had to cut them into fourths so everyone could try all the different types.When you walk in, grab a card and a marker and figure out what you want. Start out with their suggestions and you wont go wrong. When you order is when your donut is cooked, so its super fresh and hot. Theres something to be said about the simpleness of a glazed donut, but all of them were really quite well done. They all melt in your mouth and everyone enjoyed them.The only negative besides cost is the coffee. If you just want a cup of joe, grab theirs. If you want espresso, be prepared to wait and dont expect much flavor. The sugar level is lower than some other shops, but thats good when you have a sugary donut to go with it. The coffee flavor itself was a bit muted. Otherwise this place is a great experience and you should try it out!

We travel to donut places everytime we travel...and this place ranks!! The donuts are so worth the wait! Do know that due to covid, you need to order ahead on their website and wait for awhile for them to be ready. We waited 30 minutes. It is WORTH THE WAIT. Do not miss an opportunity to indulge in these unique delicious donuts.

Disorganized and very delayed. 2 staff members were working hard while the other 6 seemed to watch. They stayed about an hour behind. Not worth it.

This place is great! I wish there was more than a vanilla cake donut to choose from, but the variety of toppings makes up for it. We went later in the morning, so it wasn’t as crowded, but I can definitely see large groups coming in to get a morning donut. The actual place isn’t that large (one large table to sit at) and there isn’t a lot of room outside to sit, so don’t expect to eat here.

Love Duck Donuts! Will always visit their locations after discovering the original in Duck, NC. The plain donut is probably the best tasting donut I’ve ever had and the toppings really turn it up a notch!

Fresh donuts as they are made right as you order them. Their house flavors are delicious but you can also get creative with some of your own! They frostings and drizzles are delicious and the overall donut in itself does not disappoint. Little busier during Covid times with longer wait times but still very worth it. You can also order online and get your scheduled pick up time which eliminates wait times! 🍩

Tried to order online, only to not have any time slots available to pick donuts up. Tried to call to see if maybe there was a problem with ordering system, but nobody answered. Won’t try again.

NOT the southern hospitality you would expect. Not only was one of my donut sandwiches completely ruined upon opening, but when we got to the shop we had to wait outside for 10 minutes before being asked what we needed (while we watched our food getting cold on the counter). Really disappointed with my experience here even though the donut sandwich was good (but cold!)

Donuts are fantastic. Service needs improvement. We emailed in our order the night before. When I arrived there was a line out into the parking lot. The problem was it was the only line for both pickup and orders. Waited over 15 minutes in line as did others just picking up. Only 2 people working in the store. I saw people leaving the line frustrated. Those of us that were waiting to pick up our orders finally said something as we could see the orders stacked up. Need a better system like a window for pick up and separate window for orders.

Duck Donuts HHI, SCDonuts were delicious. The ad says fresh made donuts. We were under the impression he made them fresh but the guy just pulls the preglazed donuts out of a warmer and throws the topping on it. Customer service was TERRIBLE.If you want donuts, definitely order online and pick up. Less words with the guy the better. He was very unfriendly. We did not know how to order since it was our first time there and he had ZERO desire to help us so we had to figure it out on our own. BUT LET ME REPEAT... DONUTS WERE DELICIOUS!!!

Beat donuts ever! We got married this weekend, and had Duck Donuts in lieu of a cake, and they were a HIT! Craig was so helpful and accommodating, and we were able to bag them up as a covid safe option, which people LOVED! Head to Duck Donuts for the best desert option on the island! ❤️

I really hate to leave a not so great review, but I’m only doing it because I want to love these donuts next visit. The donuts would have been fresh and delicious, except they did have that heavy, stale oil flavor you taste when the oil in the fryer needs to be changed. (At least I think that’s what causes that stale oil flavor ). We will be back though!

I know most folks are high on this place. I honestly dont understand what they see. Nice little donut. Toppings are skimpy but a lot of variety. Would not go go out of my way to go back.

Guys, donuts are amazing!!! So fresh and simple yet so delicious. On the other hand, I got really upset at their customer service. The older African American gentleman was rude and didnt care at all. He stood 15 feet away from me when ordering. I had to shout my order. He also didnt even stop to listen to my question he just turned around and started walking away.

The donuts were delicious! Hot and fresh Duck Donuts are the best! I am glad we ordered online because the wait time for orders placed there was 45 minutes to an hour.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. An absolute JOKE.

The donuts are really good, like melt in your mouth good. But they are disorganized, which causes a conflicted review. We ordered on site and waited 35+ minutes to receive a dozen delicious donuts. There was no attempt to distinguish between folks waiting for online orders or on site orders. There was also no requests to maintain healthy distancing or wear masks. The lack of organization exacerbated this unhealthy scene. This is a 5 star review if they figure out how to organize and handle the folks waiting for their donuts.

The food here is delicious. Unfortunately, it’s not run very professionally. We visited last fall and thought it was a one-off poor experience. We visited this morning and they opened 10 minutes after their posted time. When they opened the staff was unfriendly and didn’t bother acknowledging the line of guests standing outside. We placed our order and were told it would be a 25 minute wait (presumably because the staff were all late). We paid and asked if we could have our coffees while we waited and they said “Sure, if it were brewed.” 25 minutes after opening and their coffee wasn’t even brewed. The only reason we returned and will ever return is because the donuts are so fresh.

Worst customer service I’ve ever seen at a Duck Donuts. Went to get some donuts for my sons birthday this past Wednesday and they tell us it will be an hour wait as they’re prioritizing online orders over walk-ups. TERRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS. Manager sitting in his office not doing anything to help the overwhelmed employees struggling to keep up. Get your act together! Do not recommend giving this location any business.

The donuts and sandwiches are amazing!! I only gave 4 stars because the lack of organization for pick up is a mess. After standing in line for 15min I find out that there is nobody taking orders and you need to place order on line. So we did, 45min later we got our donuts. But again there was one person on occasion asking your name. There just needs to be more organization with the new covid rules. Do go...place order first!!

Delicious donuts but need about 4 more people working. Long wait. Made an online order, tried to call to edit order left message with no return call. Horribly organized but donuts were amazing. Iced coffee was nasty, so dark and strong cream didnt change the color.

Wow what a disappointment. Orders take nearly 20 minutes for a dozen. Compared to the Outer Banks North Carolina Duck Donuts this place is not acceptable. Seems like they do not know the process. Skip go elsewhere.
