Extremely high prices to the point where Im never stepping foot into their store again. A week ago I picked up a 12-pack and paid $25 for it. The same 12-pack at Sparrow was $17. Yesterday, I picked up a 6-pack of beer that retails for around $12 everywhere else. Rings up at $16 + tax = $18. Paying $18 for a 6-pack of beer is crazy. I put it back and picked up Laguinitas. Everywhere else, thats $9.99. Rings up at $13.99 + tax = $15.50. I paid for the beer and I walked out knowing Im never coming back.Nothing is labeled so its a guessing game with these guys and the same item can ring up at a (massively) different price every other day! Literally every single thing in this store is 20-30% more expensive than everywhere else.Also, check their reviewers below. Pretty much all the honest reviews mention the price gouging. All the fake 5 star reviews can be easily spotted.I hope the owners realize that what they are doing is not only not ethical, but they are harming their own business. I would gladly shop from this store if I didnt feel like I was being ripped off every single time. However, now I gladly walk the extra 5 minutes to go to Sparrow, because at least when I pick up beer from there, I can see the price labels before I go to the register.Edit in response to the owner below: The difficulty with placing prices on beer due to changing inventory has been somehow overcome by every other liquor store in the area. If you wanted to fix the problem, you would have. There are ways to do this, but I doubt you want to do this because that means less people at your register just paying for the huge markup because theyve already committed to buying. I dont need an explanation honestly. Ive been to your store sometimes 4 times in one week to buy the same 6-pack of beer and been charged 4 different prices. Youve lost a customer in me (a quite frequent one!) and Im sure youll continue losing more customers if you dont change your predatory practices. There are many many liquor stores in Hoboken, and some are within a 5 minute walk from you. I left this review to let you know why some of your customers may chose to walk to those stores than shop from you. Its up to you if you want to fix it or not, I cant tell you how to run your business. I can tell you why I will never support your business.

Hoboken Vine is one block away with better prices and WAY better selection. Do yourself a favor and go there instead.I had been going to Blue Ribbon for the first two years or so after I moved into the area. Then I realized I was getting charged a different price for the same 6 pack I always get. The last straw was getting rung up for said 6 pack for 16 bucks. I called them out and was told you should see what theyre charging up the street. They could not name the place, it was obv a BS answer.Went to Hoboken Vine and have been for the past 4 years, shouldve been sooner. I bet Blue Ribbon still doesnt have prices on half their inventory...

Worker was very rude when asked questions regarding selections of liquor. I was also brushed off and told that he had other customers. I was a paying customer and was given the impression that I was overlooked due to my race.

Small section of wines and good for a quick stop to pick up something on your way to someones apartment or for a BYOB dinner.

This is my go-to spot for beer, wine, and liquor. Under new management, and theyve drastically reduced prices, Im guessing to compete with The Vine down the street. Liquor used to be a total ripoff, but now its within a buck or two of larger discount stores, and beer is the same price. Friendly staff too!
