I recently bought a 2021 Starcraft SLS3. The sales guy, manager and service team have all been great. They worked as a team to facilitate my trade in of my old boat and made my purchase and registration of my new boat a smooth process. Now it’s time for my 20 hour service, and purchase of some toys to add on and again they are accommodating and reasonably priced. Just a great boat buying experience. This is not my first rodeo, this is a good place.

So did Outpost Marine go out of business and then restart as Nautical to avoid servicing old clients or escape the bad reputation they had? Serious question.There doesn’t seem to be a way to reply.I was a potential BUYER but I was not impressed with the sales experience at all. I ended up going 4 hours away to buy from a more responsive salesman that wanted my business. I bought an optioned out Sailfish 270CC. Mainly I like to deal over EMAIL and I found many dealers to not want to be bothered with me unless they could bug me on the phone.

Three guys (and forgive me, I didnt get their names) took time out of their evening to pull our vehicle out that was stuck in mud at the A. L. Anderson boat launch tonight. They were all very nice and didnt make us feel like we were a burden. Thank you, thank you thank you to all of you!!! We will definitely pay it forward ❤

I spent a considerable amount of time researching my new boat and comparing prices statewide. Outpost Marine beat everyone including dealers in Georgia. The sales process was pleasurable and timely. The sales staff was helpful and amicable. My wife and are extremely happy with our new boat. The only criticism that I have is the boat was not detailed and was dirty when I picked it up. There were some staff members cleaning it when I arrived but when you purchase a new boat, the expectation of it being detailed and clean is appropriate. Overall the experience was good and I would recommend Outpost Marine to anyone who is looking to purchase a boat.

Outpost was really good to us. Our salesman remembered us from buying over a year ago. They promised to replace a piece of canvas and infact they did.. They even drove it to our house because we were out of town and was coming in late after they closed. We were able to use the new canvas thanks to Brian.

I met Patrick at the St Pete boat show last week. He immediately approached us and asked if we had any questions about the boat we were looking at, and spent over an hour going over the details of the boat, the engine, the scheduled maintenance, and all the other questions I could come up with as a new coastal water boater. His colleague Pete also joined in the conversation while discussing preferences of one brand engine over another and offered his knowledge and personal experience. It was such a great experience that we purchased the boat that day at the boat show. Today during the test run of our new boat, our experience was equally as impressive. We are very satisfied with the service we received from these guys. I highly recommend Outpost Marine if you are in the market for a boat.Update: since purchasing this boat almost two years ago, we have had nothing but problems with it. The electrical fixtures in the boat go out regularly, the bilge pump has broken 4 times now and has left us in difficult situations. We have experienced 5 different service managers at this dealership in less than 2 years. The service department has been willing to make warranty repairs for these issues however, it always ends up taking the better part of a month to get anything done. I would strongly suggest reading and taking other online reviews into consideration before deciding where to buy your boat. Patrick, mentioned in my original review ended up giving us false information regarding the type of boat we were looking at buying and told us that our deck boat was “made for the ocean” and designed to “cut through the rough water”. Both of these statements have proven to be far from the truth. I am honestly at the point now where it’s less stressful to repair things myself as they break, rather than fooling with the warranty through this dealership.

I wish I read the reviews before coming here. Nautical Ventures Tampa will do anything to make a buck off the customers and they stand by nothing. I assume youre looking at buying from them because they have the cheapest price, however do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Yes, they have a nice range of new boats which is my OK portion of the review. I did not like the extremely high pressure sales and very little knowledge about competitor brands we were considering (Checked brand websites they carried and competitors). I luckily had a legitimate, honest reason to leave and used it to leave that evening. I bought a boat elsewhere. I did read the reviews and the responses of the company I bought from and the company I bought from. If they have the brand you want and are buying new, they did have good financing available.

I recently purchased a brand new Donzi boat from Outpost Marine in Holiday Fl and my experience and dealings with them has been excellent. The staff at this marina is very hard working, very honest and they always go the extra mile to help out. I have bothered them so much since I am towing this boat to Canada and these guys never waived from helping me with this. They did everything I asked for and more! Paul Fleming, Mark Connor and Brian (operations manager) demonstrated their dedication to customer service with 10/10 rating. Brian stayed late until 8pm on Saturday to make sure my boat was properly shrink wrapped for shipping -while they close at 5pm on Saturdays. I would HIGHLY recommend this marina to everyone. I will definitely continue to do business with this marina and buy my next boat from them, even if they charge me more money. keep up the great work guys!!!!

We had an excellent experience buying our new (to us) Key Largo with Brian. They communicated quickly, were very accommodating with our schedules, and gave us a great deal on the boat. I would definitely go to them again in the future.

I ordered a new dual console boat with exact options I wanted and custom trailer after negotiating a really good deal with Mark over the phone. It was not too difficult to get to my number, so negotiations were actually pleasant and the number was very close to what I could get a last-years demo boat for from another dealer. We did have to wait a bit longer than we were told but I just kept telling myself Outpost Marine makes someones dream come true every day, I just have to wait for mine. In the end, the extra wait was less than the last custom appointed car I ordered even though the boat factory got hit by the hurricane so cant even complain about that and we did not rush due to the circumstances. Since the deal was done over the phone, I did not visit the dealership till much later. After I did visit and toured the service and parts department I was much more comfortable about the whole thing and the actual purchase day was a very nice experience. They made sure the boat was spotless and I was pleased every option and accessory was there. I appreciated Marks assistance along the way as this is a much bigger boat than we have ever owned so I had a lot of questions. Also, very pleased that he got everything right. I would/will recommend this dealership to my best friends.

I brought in a boat that sells for 10k. They tried to low ball me at 3k. I understand they have to make a $, but wow that a huge mark up. I would not recommend this store. No way would I rip someone off like that. So to refute the below response. I went to outpost 1 month previous to trade my boat in and they tried to get me to let them sell my boat. They told me they could sell for 8k to 9k. Thats my issue with their offer.

After shopping around with disappointment in the attitude at most boat dealers I encountered I discovered David P, President at Outpost Marine. He was and still is great at making me a happy and loyal customer. His service dept. is now first rate with Capt Johnny and David doing all they can to giving me great service. The boat I bought, a Key Largo 2000 CC was customized to my specification and has performed great. I would recommend this dealership with no reservations and will go through them when I trade up without hesitation.

Keep in mind that I have never dealt with this facility before and not knowing what to expect I honestly have to say that they were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and in all respects handled my sale with much enthusiasm. I just bought a used 2013 Sea Born 19 from these guys and they were awesome!!! They knew it was my very first time buying a boat and they treated me like I was buying a brand new $100k Yacht. My husband and I while in the market for a used boat, went to Outpost Marine. While there, Nick, the salesperson, who we found out much later, was the owners son, showed us what they had used. Not being interested in any boat we saw, he showed us new Key Largos. We did immediately fall in love with the180CC motor and trailer package. One of the main reasons, besides loving the boat, was because of Nicks personality. Not pushy, very respectful, just an all around super person. He introduced us to Andrew, the General Manager, again, Andrew was super nice and attentive. We also met with their Business Manager, Ann-Marie, who again was very accommodating and helpful. Lastly, we met Nicks father, the owner. We told him what a great son he had and how he made us feel so comfortable and like family. Lastly, in all our phone calls and texts to anyone of the above people on any questions we had, they were all answered promptly. They are even holding the boat till we come down in August and said they would deliver to us in Hudson. What a dealership. We have had many new and used boats in our lifetime and I must say this was the best experience we have ever had. We are so confident in our experience, we would have no hesitation recommending them to friends and family. All around fantastic experience.

Outpost Marine Group in Tampa is DISGRACEFUL. My elderly father bought an expensive boat, paid in full, and he was lied to and screwed over. The boat that was sold to him was supposed to be brand new and the boat they wanted to give him was a beat up piece of garbage. My father cleaned out his retirement account to buy the boat of his dreams to enjoy retirement on the water but instead NO BOAT NO REFUND. The owner is a crook and the employees are no better. Do not buy anything from this company.

These guys are amazing! My trailer cracked and was unusable at the boat ramp on a Sunday afternoon after boating all day with my family. I called them and Doug Perry drove out with a new trailer and picked up my boat! Me and my family are very grateful, service like that says a lot about a business and is hard to come by these days. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. This is a dishonest boat dealer! Bought a boat here and was told they have buy back and consignment if we decided to sell. Well we no longer use our boat purchased from outpost marine group and brought it back to sell or put on consignment. Come to find out they originally sold us a rental at full retail value and no one wants rentals. So basically the boat they sold us at full value is worthless!! They won’t buy it back or put on consignment. If you’re looking for your first boat, don’t go here you will get scammed!!

Went to look @ an Everglades CC. Never greeted by any salesman til one comes over and tells me I am on a customers boat. Really? Is there a sold sign I missed..no..is it still 4 sale on your site..yes..well then how would I know it was sold.Then he proceeds to tell me there are some cheaper boats up front for sale...again really?I am an experienced boat owner who understands the price of Top-Tier boat..not a dreamer.I was looking to upgrade and a cash buyer but definitely not from this place w/ the condescending attitude of the staff.And the boat is still on your site..maybe your non-cash buyers financing was not approved.

Horrible customer service. Bought a used boat from them, but afterwards we had questions and they never get back to us.Brian, the Director Of Operations, is the worst.Once I called and he was standing right there by the front desk because I could hear her say He wants to talk to you, and instead of picking up the phone he had her transferred me to his voice mail, which BTW is always FULL!Brian needs to be fired! If I was the owner, hed be GONE!Stay AWAY! Far AWAY from this place!There are so many better choices.

We have been looking for a boat to fit our soon to be family of five for a couple of months at various dealerships in the Tampa Bay area, including a couple dealerships in Hudson. We came across Outpost Marine and decided to check out their website first to see what they had available. To our surprise, they had a lot of boats that were actually on their lot and not just one or two like some dealerships that we went to. This was a big deal to us being it is much different to actually see and feel out a boat in person, rather than just order one from a catalog and then decide if you are really going to like it once you get it home and out on the water.Our next step was to take a drive down to Outpost Marine and look at the several boats we seen online that we were interested in. When we got there, we just walked the lot ourselves and within several minutes we were greeted by a friendly sales rep, Stephanie. Me and my wife knew which two boats we wanted to inquiry about and Stephanie gladly gave us a tour on both of these, she also gave us a lot of useful information about them. We decided which one we liked and Stephanie and Outpost Marine were very easy to negotiate with on the price of the boat. We made a deal with them within less than 30 minutes and only had to put down a deposit to schedule the sea trial for the following week. We really liked the fact that you get to fully test drive a boat before you actually buy it. We asked Stephanie, “well what if we dont like how this boat performs on the water, do we get our money back?” She said you simply just get your deposit back, and thats it. No pressure. So there was definitely some peace of mind there. We met up at the lake on the day we scheduled the sea trial with Stephanie and the Owner of Outpost Marine. We easily felt comfortable with both of them and drove the boat around the lake like we owned it for years. They both showed us the features and everything else the boat had to offer without any hesitation. We picked up the boat at the dealer several hours after we finished driving it. Once we got it home, we noticed it had a tear in the side of the Bimini top and let Stephanie know about the issue, she said no problem, we will order you a new one and it will be here in several weeks. Several weeks passed and it arrived at their dealership, we explained to Stephanie it was an hour drive down there and wanted to have it delivered to our house. Not a problem with these guys, they had it delivered within several days to our house. Very nice.Overall, I cant speak for some of the negative reviews that are posted here, but I do know for sure that we did not have any problems with them and they were nothing but nice to me and my family when we were there. Good people to deal with. I would highly recommend them. Thanks again guys!

I purchased a new boat (Stott Craft) from them about a month ago. The customer service I received from them was outstanding. Mark, the sales representative worked diligently with me to find the right boat within my financial parameters. We experienced some challenges getting the boat made but he stayed on top of the manufacturer and resolved all the timing and option issues. He was very persistent. From the service side of this transaction, the new service manager, Paul, has also demonstrated outstanding customer service and follow up. There we a few issues as with many new vehicles and Paul was there and continues to be there when called upon to resolve these issues. He has gone well beyond what I expected. If you are looking for a boat, I would highly recommend you visit them.

Me and my husband went to the boat show here in Tampa over the weekend. We are new to the boating world so we looked at many boats and talked with several dealers/salesman. However one stood out Outpost Marine Group. They answered any questions we had even when it was about a boat not of theirs. They never made us feel uncomfortable or pressured. Only treated us with the utmost respect and courtesy. With that said we boat our first boat from them.What a great and amazing staff!! I want to thank all those who helped us in the purchasing and with the upgrades of our new boat. A special thanks to Pete and Ann Marie for all their understanding, patience, and help.I HIGHLY recommend dealing with them. They truly do make you feel special and important.

Amazing experience! Locally owned family business. They helped me pick a boat and trailer so that I could easily learn how to safely boat (Ive never owned a boat). I will be doing business exclusively with Outpost for all my boat related needs.

Very dishonest experience. My husband and myself drove over 2 hours to look at used boats. We found one we liked and asked about the trailer that it was sitting on. Salesperson said it did not come with a trailer but they could get one. They are around $4k and they do not mark the trailers up. Later that week we were negotiating a deal including trailer as total cost out the door. We made offer and they countered. At one point she said the trailer alone was worth $5,400 i writing in a text. We finally agreed on a price and set up sea trial. My husband drove there with cash ready to bring boat home. When he got there they brought the boat around on a user trailer with old tires and wires hanging down. The guy said that was the trailer that went with the boat. The salesperson and owner were not there. They wanted us to pay more for a new trailer. We even said that they could deduct the 5,400 and we would get our own trailer. The salesperson has not even called us. Its sad that people are so dishonest.We had a contract and made a deposit of $2500. So Im sure that you have all of our contact information. Drove 20 hours round trip to pickup boat that wouldnt pass sea-trial.Staff was friendly and they tried to accommodate, but after 2 days no boat. Update April.... Outpost repaired the boat and found a way toget me back into the boat. Stephanie P went above and beyond to makeme satisfied.

Went looking for a pontoon earlier this week and was greeted by Skip. Very nice and knowledgeable guy about the boats they had on hand, but unfortunately didnt have any used fishing pontoons.

Please read!I purchased one of their used boats on eBay. I won the auction. I texted and emailed Brian and stated I would fly down to give them a check. Hey replied that would be fine. The description of the boat described a great low hour engine - specifically stated all compression was good.When I arrived, I was informed that my boat had been SOLD. They stated the buyer purchased the boat ****even though one of the cylinders has bad compression***.I was more concerned about the dishonesty of the engine condition than anything. I feel bad for the folks that bought the boat. This is an honest evaluation.

My nephew bought a boat from Outpost and even though his salesman isnt there anymore we bought a boat from Outpost too. Brian, Paul, and Braden treated me and my husband kindly and accommodated our crazy schedule and helped us even find a palce to store it in a high and dry. Brian even offered to keep it at the lot for free for a few weeks if we had trouble which was nice. really enjoying our new stott craft boat! - Ruth & Harold

Wanted to bring to light my review and my experience from my purchase at Oupost Marine Group. My wife and I were searching for my retirement present and were comparing between several boats including a Grady-White and came to see the Sailfish.Fell in love with the 275DC model and e-mailed Outpost to see one in person. Mark answered my e-mail very quickly and was very considerate of my and my wifes schedule and agreed to meet me on a Sunday before I flew out of town for work. We walked the boat in person and Mark was very thorough and knowledgeable and worked a deal with us. We went on a sea trial a few weeks later and wrapped up the purchase. When we took delivery, there were a few items missing, a pair of cushions, a manual for my Garmin electronics, and a cooler. Mark actually took the time to drive these items out to us personally on Davis Island. Very good service!My point in writing this thorough review is because I have read these couple of posts naming Mark Conner by name about things he had done in the past. Well, I can say as a former assistant prosecutor for the State Attorneys office, I have complete faith and comfort in Mr. Conner and his sales abilities. Never once did I felt taken advantage of or uncomfortable. I dont doubt that he may have things years ago as any public record can attest to, but people can change IF they choose to. I dont know the whole side of every individual story, but Outpost is obviously a stand up operation and they or any dealer would be fortunate to have Mr. Conner representing them anytime.

Outpost Marine does it again. The truth is that the agreement was 4 WEEKS not months, wait for a dock to be built. The NEW boat was a rusted mess. They couldnt refund me because they had cash-flow problemsThe money was place in escrow 4 weeks ago WITHOUT my legal fees covered.Lie after Lie after LieThey NEVER responded to the Attorney Generals office, nor the BBB, nor the Senior Fraud Division of the Department of Consumer Protection. David the owner is a snake in and out! Brian is his lackey.

Amazing service and made it a family friendly environment, gave each one of us a plethora of gifts and shirts and even took us on a tour on the boat. When we left they even gave us a bottle of champagne to congratulate us on our boat purchase!

Please chose any other dealer. They are incompetent and willing to sell you anything. They have provided me unaccurate infomation about the boat that I bought. They didn´t refund me overcharged money knowing that they sold me something that were not installed in my boat. Please go somewhere else. I am willing to share my experience with them and pictures of what I bough and what I have received.

Called to ask about a star craft boat and Brian and Paul were very professional and helpful over the phone I called at 6:45 didnt realizing they were closed and they both stayed on the phone with me answering my silly questions and then told me to stop by thier Sarasota store since I live in North Port. Thank you for being gracious and extending me good phone service! Will hopefully be buying one soon!

They have great boat options but dont follow through with what they say in a timely fashion we bought a boat in July and traded in our old boat and they just paid off our old boat this week. The manager will just keep saying yeah I took care of it to get you out of the building when really things was not taken care of.

Had an issue with service nor showing up to get our. Oat. Paul, the new GM stepped up and personally came to get it Thr next morning. It appears he is trying very hard to right some of the issues this dealership had previously. Kudos to him!

I HAVE BOUGHT 2 BOATS FROM THEM, MY SALESMAN WAS BRADEN ON BOTH. I DID NOT BUY VERY EXPENSIVE BOATS BUT WAS TREATED LIKE I BOUGHT A THEIR MOST EXPENSIVE MODEL. BRADEN TOOK THE TIME AND EFFORT TO MAKE ME FEEL WELCOME AND DID EVERY THING POSSIBLE TO HELP ME PICK A BOAT. THANKS BRADEN GREAT JOB

Excellent place to buy boat

***FUTURE CUSTOMERS BEWARE***I write this post not out of haste, but because I dont want anyone else to have to deal with their terrible customer service.I purchased a brand new boat less then 3 months ago. I had read the not so great google reviews, and against my gut, decided to purchase a boat my wife and I fell in love with anyways.This was a HUGE mistake.Our Boat started having issues and wouldn’t go faster then 10mph last weekend.We called and booked an appointment to have them come and pick up our boat at 9:30AM at a local boat ramp on July 20th, 2017.I arrived at 9:30AM and no one from Outpost Marine was there, so we called to see what the deal was.They said that their initial driver was running late (you would think they would give us a courtesy call to let us know? You know…if they had good customer service and all).At 9:50AM (after waiting 20 minutes) I get a call from the GM Randolph.He said that he wanted to make sure that we knew there was a $125 pick up fee before he sent his driver out (WHY DID HE NOT CALL US PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT??)We have had our boat picked up 2 times before and never had a pick up fee.I told him that no one told us that was the case and he said that this is a “new rule” that he put in place.He said that he wouldn’t send someone to pick up the boat unless I agreed to paying the $125.I had already been waiting for 30 minutes and NOW he calls to tell me that he won’t send a driver out unless I agree to pay the $125?This is information that should have been given to us PRIOR to booking the appointment.Finally, an HOUR later, the pick up driver shows up.I follow him back to Outpost Marina to speak with Randolph about the terrible customer service I had just experienced.I received no apology and was spoken to in a condescending manner.He refused to work on my boat unless I paid the $125 pick up fee.The $125 wasn’t that big of a deal.The fact that they waited until 20 MINUTES AFTER our scheduled appointment to let us know, and then arrived 60 MINUTES AFTER our scheduled appointment is what is wrong.You are supposed to do right by your customers.Randolph pointed fingers at all of his employees saying that they were supposed to tell us and they didnt.A REAL manager takes responsibility and makes things right. Randolph is by far the WORST Manager I have ever come across in any form of business.Outpost Marine, you just lost what would have been a life long customer.

This is going to be a little long but honest review that will hopefully help you if you are worried about the bad reviews outpost has received.I Actually purchased a new Stott craft 2160 from outpost marine in holiday over a year ago. I waited to leave my review because there were a few issues that needed to be taken care of.First off I’d like to thank Braden the sales manager ( now at Homosassa I believe ) and Doug the salesman. I walked in to MANY dealers with a check for a certain dollar amount. Most sent me packing and didn’t want to make a deal. Except for outpost. They saw my budget and put me on an awesome boat ! ( Stott craft 2160) I would highly recommend dealing with them. They were very easy going and willing to do what ever they could to work with me and my very strict budget without me compromising to a smaller boat, so again. Thank you guys for that.Second. I did have some small issues with the boat, but outpost did make it right. I’m not going in to detail but the point is they could have told me to kick rocks but they did make it right ! Mike the new service manager is very willing to work with you if you give them the opportunity to.I believe some of the problems were due to old staff who are no longer there but a lot of these negative reviews could have been avoided by the person leaving them. It’s not all the dealers fault. Don’t buy a boat without seeing it ! ( DUH! ) Be patient and don’t take delivery until it is right ! You will be glad you did.And for anyone looking to purchase a Stott craft. There is not a lot of information on the internet about them which made me skeptical to buy one. I have owned the boat over a year and take it out almost every weekend. The boat is awesome ! It is well built and I think it is the best value bay boat on the market. It is the largest bay boat you can get for the price. I am very happy with mine. The manufacturer is great to deal with also.Overall I am pleased with outpost marine and I will be calling Doug first when it’s time to upgrade. Hopefully this review will help someone who is on the fence on weather or not to purchase from them.Keep it up outpost. And thanks again.

Large selection of nice boats. Manager was polite. The salesman was a typical salesman. Very pushy and had a entitlement pose around him. Made it seem like that was the only place around to buy a boat. I dont like feeling pressure to buy something right then and there. Needless to say we did not buy from them.

I have never seen or experienced a worse customer service in my life and any where else!My son spent over $50,000 on a boat with upgrades and still has not fully enjoyed it. All kind of issues with boat and integrity of parts and they say they are working on it or will fix and do not. Very unmotivated and unprofessional! Never would deal with them again. To many other companies out there!

My boyfriend and I recently bought a 19 Glasstream this weekend from this facility. After visiting numerous boat retailers there was no question Outpost Marine was the best thanks to our amazing salesman Jake. He was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely recommend anyone looking to buy a boat to go and see him. Thanks again for all of your help in getting us out on the water and make sure you keep Jake around because hes awesome!!!!
