I was referred to this store by another music store to check out the used sax that I bought. Had not played in 20 years and I though I made a mistake until I ran into Jim. For $50 he got everything up an running and now I feel I got a good deal on the horn. He is a player also so I am confident I have found my sax guy. Dont understand the negative comments about rudeness. Sometimes it is how you act that prompts responses that you determine to be rude.

Good prices on products and services. Jim did an excellent job refurbishing my Yamaha guitar. It is like new!

The Staneluns have been in the music store business for a very long time. They are always fair, and they do consistent, excellent work.There is a nice mom n pop feel to the place, and Id much rather spend my money locally rather than do business online or with chain stores that really dont have the experience, or that personal touch.

This went from a five star to a one star. The first time the lady was very nice. Today the gentleman (owner) was beyond rude and impatient. I did nothing wrong and was polite. I will NOT return. Their prices are far too high, and they have no vintage or midgrade equipment that I am interested in. They just have budget gear of odd brands that is too expensive. Go somewhere else where your business is appreciated.

Its a small place loaded with all kinds of musical items. Prices seem reasonable.

If I could give a “no star” rating to this store I would. I brought my 8 year old son to this store to purchase strings for his guitar and picks for him to learn on. I wasn’t in the store for more than 10 minutes and he was deciding on his picks when the man behind the counter stated and threw his hands up, “Just tell me when you’re ready,” and walked away extremely rude. I asked, “Did we aggregate you?” And he had the nerve to say, “Yes, yes you did.” I grabbed my son’s guitar and walked out. We were the only people in this store and we were not asking hardly any questions. I’ve been a firm believer that it’s better to help support the local businesses, but I will never be back in his store and I hope you won’t either. Take my advice as a strong suggestion to go to Norton music on Main Street or guitar center in Clearwater.

I just moved to the area and didnt know he was right down the street from me! Very polite and very knowledgeable, will be a customer for as long as Im living in the area!!

This is dissapointing, I love and support mom and pop music shops, but the service provided to me was outrageously terrible. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a disgruntled Yes? As if I were intruding. I had asked the employee a few questions and his attitude was very uncomfortable, either being condescending to me about my questions or being completely ignorant with the instrument I had asked him to take a look at because I believe it had a neck bow from the factory and I had wanted to know if it was reparable. Instead I wasnt given the answer to the question I asked, just told to send it back. While I appreciate the honesty, there are many other ways to converse with a customer without making them feel stupid for coming to you when you yourself dont even know. They had their tech and another employee look at it quickly and i quote for 5 minutes and dismiss it. This whole interaction took 3 of their business days. And when I came back to pick it up, (I appreciate that it was free of charge, but its only because they put zero effort into it any way) I had asked the clerk if they had an XLR to 1/4in cable, and he insisted on it being a mic cable, while shaking his head disdainfully as if I had said something stupid. I wont ever go back.

I always have a pleasant experience. The folks are friendly. They are an older german couple, so they arent run of the mill plastic people. The Mrs. is quite an adept luthier as well. They will be missed by the musical community, or at least the one who havent jumped onto the internet to make their purchases.
