We came in a few months ago, Jack was extremely knowledgeable and patient with us as we tried out each of his suggestions. After we’d found the right fit they figured out a bundle for us adding some of their pillows and mattress protectors. They delivered and set up the new and got rid of the old. Let me start by saying how happy I am that I found Fox Mattress! I found them in the rabbit hole of Internet forums after I tried a couple of horrible online mattresses. Thousands of dollars wasted on low quality junk. Over a year of constant back pain, and I was desperate. I drove up to the showroom, where I was helped by Jack. He was patient and knowledgeable, letting me try all the mattresses and explaining the features and the production process. No pushy salesman gimmicks, no pressure! While he did a great job with my decision making, I still had to make the decision as to which mattress I wanted. I think that I selected one that is too hard - and I have 90 days to return it - the price I paid for my selection will be put, in full, toward a new mattress. Now that is something. How refreshing to find a business that still knows the meaning of an old-fashioned concept: Customer Service! Very friendly, easy to work with and quite accommodating to our remodel schedule and delivery. I wanted to give the two mattresses a good six months to write an informed review. Happy to report both are as good as hoped. Staff recommended the Chiropractor Dream model for me due to some back issues and being a stomach sleeper. It is VERY firm! It did take a couple of nights to get used to the firmness. Happy to report my back is doing much better on this mattress than any previous bed we have owned. Coupled with the natural products used in construction, locally made on-sight, quick turnaround time and great customer service, I highly recommend this business. Such a positive experience all the way around!!

We had been looking for a new mattress off and on for about a year, but then I remembered an old friend telling me that when they moved to Halifax Plantation they purchased their mattress from Fox Mattress and still love it. So.... not only did I ask for comments on Nextdoor Halifax (holy cow 🐄 - received over 60 positive responses!!), but we went to Fox and met with Chelsea - great gal and smart as a whip!! As of this past Friday we have a brand new Quantum Coil Pillow Plush king mattress and new box springs. On October 26, 2020, I accompanied my mother to Fox Mattress to look for a new bed for her. We had the fortune of being assisted by Chelsea, who was so helpful in explaining various options to us. My mother tried out two mattresses and settled on the Queen Adjustable 2-sided Mattress called “Chiropractor’s Dream”, and a Queen Thunder Adjustable Base Wireless w/ no massage. My mother is independently mobile and vibrant, yet she needed a bed that would allow her to raise her head (and feet, if need be) when she sleeps due to reflux. Before buying this bed, she used a wedgie for her head on her previous bed, but this was far from ideal. We purchased the bed on a Monday and had it delivered on Thursday. The bed came at the most opportune moment because the following week she had to have gallbladder surgery. She returned home from the hospital 2 days later and having this bed allowed us to adjust its head and feet to provide the most optimal comfort following her surgery. She is still experimenting with it – as she was told to do – in order to find the most optimal sleep position. We used her guard rail that she had on her previous Sleep Number bed and it fit nicely onto this system. So she feels safe when going to sleep each evening. We are grateful to Chelsea at Fox Mattress for helping us find the best sleep solution for my mother.

Absolutely outstanding!I purchased a Queen Fox-o-Pedic Anniversary edition two-sided mattress on 6/8/2021. I opted for an adjustable frame for the mattress foundation. Unfortunately, the standard adjustable base was unavailable at the time. Fox upgraded me to a fully loaded adjustable base, with wireless remote, usb charging ports, under bed illumination, and a massager at no additional cost!The bed was built to order for me and delivered on 6/14/2021 which is a lot sooner than most mattress stores were offering and even faster than some bed-in-a-box companies.The white glove delivery couldnt have been better. Both of the delivery men were diligent, careful, and polite. They removed my current bed at no additional charge to me and provided me with my new fully assembled base and mattress.The mattress was definitely a cut above the rest. I havent slept this good in quite a while. It felt like a five star hotel bed or even better. The adjustable base w/ massager was the cherry on top.Unfortunately, my adjustable base had some sort of defect with its construction and I had to contact Fox on 6/27/2021. After speaking with them, without any back-and-forth, I was told a new adjustable base would be brought to my home the very next day. You really cant ask for better service.Once again the delivery was perfect and smooth. The new frame was dropped off and the old one taken away. Everything seems fine with the new frame.Please keep in mind that the frame/base issue was not the fault of Fox mattress. They use a third party company for their adjustable bases and only manufacture the actual mattress.As far as the mattress goes this is the best place in town and maybe even the southeast. The factory they build the mattress in is right next door to their show room. All of their products are sourced here in the USA and they even provide cut outs of the mattresses so you can see and feel what youre buying.This company should definitely be on your list when shopping for a new mattress. They provide a quality bed at an affordable price.And dont forget to get a two sided bed so it lasts longer. This is the way beds were supposed to be made. A lot of new beds are not flippable to save the manufacture costs and its a great feature to have.

After a horrific experience with Mattress Firm, where I waited 3 months and still no delivery, I canceled my order ( took almost 2 weeks to get a refund) and drove over to Holly Hill to check out Fox.I am pleased to say it was very enjoyable, and Chelsea educated me on the finer points of mattress manufacturing. 2 days later my king sized mattress was delivered. I have been sleeping on it now for about three weeks. I believe it is the best mattress I have ever owned, and because I am a senior, probably the last mattress I will ever have to buy. What a fantastic experience! As we needed to buy a new mattress, I did quite a bit of research to determine what constitutes a good investment in such. In other words, what comprises a comfortable, long-lasting, well-built bed.To that end, I owe the website The Mattress Underground the lions share of credit here. Most persons will never really do any research, theyll simply wander into a department or specialty mattress store, lay on a few beds for 10 minutes, pick one of the famous S brands, (Oh, we bought an expensive bed, it was over $800 for a Cal King!“), take it home, and figure theyve made the best choice they could. Not true.To get a truly good mattress, you must first know what one is. Second, you must know your own needs. A firm or soft feel is not at all indicative of the support level of the mattress overall, it is just a metric of what is known as the Comfort Layer.The good people at Fox (recommended by the Mattress Underground) will be happy to educate you on what goes into a good bed. They build their own and are interested in what you need, and at what price point. Of course, like many products, if you spend more, you get more and/or better materials. At least youll know WHAT youre getting and why.Chelsea, Rick, and Trina (and Im sure the others) are all ultra-knowledgeable and willing to help. Their products are superior to the ones that are promoted nationally, and IMHO, constitute great value. Their guarantee is excellent, and you shouldnt be disappointed - if you do your research. Just and incredible mattress company. It’s all about the customer and your satisfaction with the mattress. I waited till my three months was over where I can make any changes to my mattress and I had to and they were very understanding and went way out-of-the-way to make sure I was happy with my mattress and my comfort level. I found I was too short and my mattress was a little high for me to sit on so they came back and brought me a shorter box spring and it’s perfect and I’m so happy. They are always so pleasant and helpful and listen to you and all your concerns.They communicate with you very well with your concerns when they deliver the gentleman delivering the mattress they’re very courteous and careful and you never feel rushed. Jack was great. He started to show up the cheapest mattresses first and then we move up and listen for what we wanted until we found the perfect mattress. The mattress we purchased is a lot better than the mattress we currently have and it was half the price. I have slept like a baby the last 3 nights and have waking up without any joint pain. Im loving the mattress so far.

I liked the way the mattress felt and purchased two for my condo, both of which I kept until I sold the condo in 2017. My wife and I then started a search for a single-family home in Ponce Inlet. Finally, last October, we found the home we had been looking for and started it’s renovation. We made several trips down for the renovation, while staying in a hotel each trip. Once the flooring was in, we stayed in the house on air mattresses until we were able to shop for a mattress. Once again, we visited all the area mattress stores, trying out what they had to offer. We went to Fox Mattress first and after trying the different styles they offered, decided on the one we liked. We then visited several other stores to make sure we were making the right choice. While we found other “acceptable” mattresses, we kept comparing their comfort to the one at Fox Mattress and each time, Fox Mattress was our top choice for comfort. We then revisited Fox Mattress to confirm our choice and met with Chelsea. Chelsea is extremely knowledgeable on the way mattresses are made, more than any other mattress salesperson we’ve ever met. After talking with Chelsea and trying the mattress again, we knew Fox Mattress was the right choice for us. We’ve slept on the mattress for a week now and are loving it! I also want to add that during the time between selling the condo and buying the house, I had fusion back and fusion neck surgeries, so comfort is very important to me. I’ve slept better on the Fox Mattress in the past week than I did the past several years in NC on other mattresses.

We bought 2 Chiropractor Dreams from Fox Mattress recently and not only did they set them up for us, but they also came back when it wasnt quite right. Service beyond the sale. Great people, will have our repeat business again if needed. Chelsea was a sweet and knowledgeable salesperson with a great sense of humor.

Great Experience. Chelsea at Fox Mattress helped us figure out the best mattress and box spring for our needs. Explained why Fox was difference than other companies and learned quite a bit about the production of their product. Positives: She helped us immediately, we did not wander around aimlessly looking. Told us she would call the night before delivery to give us a time frame for the delivery and she did. Delivery people took the old bed and set up the new one and they where on time. Could not ask for more. Cons: NONE! We have had the mattress now for over a week and it is great sleeping. Thanks for your help Chelsea.

We had a great experience with Fox Mattress. We were shopping for a replacement mattress for our 17 year old son who had outgrown his twin mattress. Our trusted local mattress store closed after the owner retired and for the first time in a decade we were left without someone to trust in a sea of confusion between the chain mattress stores and the big box retailers. After doing some research, we stumbled upon Fox Mattress, one of the few still locally owned (and bonus), local mattress manufacturer. While the store is a 2+ hour drive for us, we decided over spring break to make the drive.My son immediately narrowed his choice down to 2 beds. Within 30 minutes he made his decision. There was no pressure (unlike some of those chain mattress stores). Jack was very nice, just answered all our questions, showed us everything, including the insides of the different mattresses to explain the difference in prices and why things felt different.My son has now slept on his bed for over 100 nights and is 100% still satisfied. They delivered it to us (across the state) with no issues. I happily recommend giving Fox Mattress your time & consideration, and we will continue to make the 2+ hour drive when my 13 year old is ready for his next mattress.

Fox mattress was referred to me by my brother who had just purchased mattresses from them. As I was out of state and purchasing a new home in the area I contacted Jack. He took care of me over the phone without me stepping foot in the store. The two mattress sets I received a king and queen were just what I ordered and exactly what I wanted. Arrangements had been made for the delivery the day of my closing and the delivery guys showed up on time, actually were about 10 minutes early which worked perfectly. They set the beds up cleaned up and were on their way in no time. Five stars to Jack, the delivery team and Fox mattress. I highly recommend them.

I needed a mattress FAST to stage my home for sale. I called and within 5 minutes I had arranged for the perfect mattress to be delivered in less 24 hours. I told them to deliver their cheapest mattress. They arrived on time, and set up the frame, box spiring and mattress in less than 5 minutes. Took all trash away. And it was COD. The mattress is beautiful. It is comfortable. I have bought form them before and always spent time picking out the mattress. If this is their bottom rung mattress...what can I say. They make a quality product and offer wonderful service.

Wow!! We are so glad that we went to Fox for our newest mattresses. We’re an older couple and over the year’s we’ve purchased quite a few mattresses – always at the big box stores with their teaser sale events and big-name manufacturer inventories. Wish we had known about Fox before. Such a different experience!Chelsea and her Dad are so nice to work with – so much better than the Department store salesperson who is focused mostly to make a sale for higher priced products. At Fox - no pressure – more shared knowledge of useful information about the mattress manufacturing process and different quality materials than we’ve ever encountered – pleasant and ever so patient. And the product quality is top tier! We chose two twin xl’s - double sided flip mattresses with electric adjustable frames. After trying mine out at home, I discovered that I needed a firmer mattress – and Chelsea arranged for a replacement without delay or any problems. The first delivery was on time – and the second was also on time and the delivery people are top notch individuals!To be sure – these are not bargain-basement mattresses – they are top tier quality – local AMERICAN made! – reasonably priced and professionally matched to your individual needs. We are so pleased that we discovered Fox – and highly recommend others go there BEFORE making a final decision anywhere else!

Unbelievably great experience. Incredibly knowledgeable staff. Chelsea was so helpful. Zero pressure, but spent literally HOURS with us answering all of our questions. Also, HUGE selection. Really, infinite choices because they make every mattress custom. I was afraid the choices would overwhelm us and we would leave without even making a choice. The truth is, Chelsea had identified the type of mattress we would most likely be interested in and which one would fit a space within just a few minutes of our arrival. From there is just a matter of leading us to make the right decision!! Ha! Glad that she did, because we obviously part of a mattress. I have no question at all the we will love the mattress when we get it home just as much as we did in the store. Shes been one of the best large item purchases I am ever made.
