Great store. Answered all the questions I had, not just on the firearm, but the rules behind concealed carry in our state. Their knowledge got me comfortable enough to consider it in a way I hadnt before.I can only imagine that all the low reviews are from people that dont follow instructions.They are the cheapest FFL in the state. Obviously, that results in them getting a lot of traffic. All they ask is that you wait until you receive their text before showing up.Anyway, Im glad I disregarded the lower reviews and drove out of my way to check them out - I didnt leave disappointed. If youre searching for a knowledgeable FFL in your area, this is the place to go.

The owner and his young son are very knowledgeable and practice great business. Held my gun with a deposit longer then I deserved on a very desirable unit. Im their client for life. If happen to be in the Hollywood area definitely check them out.

You gotta love these guys. They are knowledgeable, funny and accommodating. Helps you with ease and doesn’t force purchases on you. Went in with no idea about guns and Brian was very helpful and answered all my questions, and I had a lot of questions. He explained a lot of things to me and my wife and made us feel very comfortable. They have a customer for life.

I have been swinging by this gun establishment for over a couple years now and the staff are amazing people. They carry different firearms, some are very unique and cool. Public Pawn also has a good amount of ammunition to buy to use for the range and for self defense. If you are a gun owner, definitely check out this gun store.

Dont waste your time. Average to high prices on their guns. I went today to pick up fire arm that I order online, From the moment I walked in I felt unwelcome, very rude and unhelpful, I would rather pay more money for gun transfer that would treat me with respect and be helpful then feeling unwelcome, I had questions on buying more guns instead I went to Bass Pro shop and Roy helped me purchase a few more firearms! (Just a smile would of made a big difference)

Brian is amazing, very knowledgeable about guns and ammunition. I have purchased from others and they couldn’t hold a candle up to him. The store is extremely busy with regular customers who all seem to have shopped here for a long time. There has to be a reason they keep coming back. Brian knows people by first name when they come through the door.I’ll continue to shop there as long as Brian is employed.

This business also sells weapons and ammo at gun shows....just make sure what you get from Public Pawn & Arms is working correctly before you pay. One of the optics I purchased from them was defective and missing accessories.So I went to the actual store in Davie to get things straightened out.The guy behind the counter, Brian, was NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY, and I am being generous with that description.But, to his credit, he did give me a replacement item for no charge....but only after he tried to charge me an extra $50 for it.Perhaps he was just having a bad day!

The only fair rate for this FFL and manager Brian would be not zero but minus 5 if I could only give one. This was by far the worst experience for me as a customer ever and everywhere. Dont get fooled: the good online rating of this FFL seemly belongs to Kevin, who was previous owner. So, after initial visit to this FFL where I asked for the terms of transfer services I decided to have my 2 weapons shipped to them for transfer. On Friday April 9 Ive got info from sellers that my firearms were delivered to the Public Pawn & Arms. 90 minutes later I came to Public Pawn to do the transfer and background check and that was first unpleasant surprise. From the moment I stepped in the store, I encountered extremely rude and disrespectful behavior of Brian. He was only interested if I got a text from him that I can come and refused to talk any further after I told him that I didnt get yet. He just showed me dozen of parcels delivered and said hes too busy. OK, a stores may have different policies but I didnt know about it as it was my first time to do business there. The other places I was doing firearm transfer before didnt have that system and didnt mind when I show up shortly after they receive a package. So I went home empty handed since it was too difficult for him to find my 2 parcels among 10 others hes shown me. The store closes at 7pm, he sent me text at 6:58pm that I can come and pick up guns. Irony or malicious intention? Lets see...Next day I came with my son to pick up the guns as we had a plan to go to range after and again I was welcomed by a wave of negative energy and rudeness from the first step. It appeared that I made mistake with recipient name of the handgun but I was not aware of that at that moment. If you think you would get professional explanation what and why is exact problem, you are wrong. Do not dare to ask Brian anything, that is annoying him and he gets really disrespectful and rude. I realized its waste of time trying to find out what went wrong so I wanted to move to transfer of the shotgun that had no issue whatsoever with papers sent along. First he couldnt find my email in which I informed him of intention to send it to his FFL along with a purchase invoice attached. So I shown him email on my phone. He couldnt find it again on his computer. I lost patience and told him that his system is not good if he loses emails. He become enraged and demonstratively refused to do business with me saying hes going to ship weapons back to sellers.Today I learnt that the KYGUN.CO, the seller of my shotgun who got it back, sold it to someone else, instead to ship to another FFL as I instructed them in the email. Why? Because Brian maliciously L I E D and sent them a note that I was 20 yrs old. Btw I am 48, and KYGUN.CO failed to call me and check if Brians lies are true or not.Brian, the fact that you were rude, unprofessional and treating customers as trash is something I might forget and simply do business with somebody else. But the fact that you did it in front of my son I will not either forget or forgive. Apart from apparently not being fit for any sort of customer relation business, you are keeping under-aged boy on other side of the counter with easy access to the guns and ammo. That boy and intoxicated older guy with red eyes who was trying to side you and verbally attack me, along with your abnormal behavior create very dangerous and insecure environment. The fact that none of you wear face masks speaks also of how you respect laws of Florida. No customer should to go through that horror. I will write to ATF about my experience with your business.

Very rude and condescending. I usually don’t leave reviews on establishments but my experience has completely compelled me to leave this review. (Beretta 1301) I put that up there to leave my little crumb trail to who I am.To begin. I had a Beretta 1301 semi auto shotgun transferred to this FFL simply because of the cheap transfer fee. But buyer beware YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Coming from a prior military setting I have thick skin and can understand some of us just wake up on the wrong side of the bed. However when rude and condescending demeanor starts from my initial call to inquire as to this establishments transfer process to me picking up my gun I have to say something. It took ALL OF MY MILITARY bearings for me not to say something to the (Tall heavyset gentleman, with all his plumbers crack out for sale) I’m sorry I forgot his name. But he also has the glasses.This guy spoke to me as if I was a child, huffing and puffing, and flaring his hands in the air over technical BS. Even before that, over the phone this guy was rude so I knew going into that shop I would have to control myself due to what I would lose (redacted) if i did not deescalate the situation. Luckily there was another prior military person who came into the store I was able to chat with which distracted me from what I deemed a hostile situation putting me into fight mode. If your going to do business learn what proper customer service is. I’m not sure if your used to dealing with people who allow you to speak to them as you please but some of us will respond accordingly. Again thank you to my fellow 82nd Infantryman who unknowingly distracted me. Buyer beware. Just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean it’s quality. You get what you pay for. You began huffing and puffing like you needed your house blown down. To keep the situation calm I did go get alternate documents showing my address. Then I mentioned I don’t usually deal with pawnshops and usually deal directly with individual FFL’s. Not your comment of claiming I said “this is why I don’t deal with pawn shops”.2) which is a question/statement. Feel free to answer. I originally said “However when rude and condescending demeanor starts from my initial call to inquire as to this establishments transfer process to picking my gun up I have to say something”... so with that statement- I was making it clear that prior to me calling stating I had the tracking number I sensed your rude and condescending tone. You may not have noticed or cared to notice but I called 2 weeks prior to my arrival date to inquire then another week prior to get your FFL info and/or pass it along to the sender. BOTH times I felt that tone from you. But look buddy it’s ok you didn’t serve I get it. You have a chip on your shoulders also. I get it. Just please tone down that attitude because as my original post said. Not all will allow you to speak to them as you please.You should have a great Audio/video recording system. Check your tapes.I hope your establishment strives on and continues serving the 2A community. But you sir are rude. You sir need to learn customer service. And even if you don’t care I hope sir this review will leave a caution to anyone who seeks exceptional customer service especially my fellow vets who you sir you sir seem to enjoy selling firearms to. SO AS I SAID BEFORE. BUYERS BEWARE. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR AND I DAMN SURE DID NOT PAY TO HAVE SOME WANNA BE WITH A CHIP ON HIS SHOULDERS SPEAKING TO ME AS HE PLEASED FOR 3 weeks. For public information: this store has a strict NO MASK policy. You will not be permitted to shop here if you wear a mask. You will be asked to remove your mask in this store. Ostensibly this is so that your face can be identified, but all other firearms stores that Ive been to in the past few weeks have the opposite policy: masks required, no exceptions. This place does it differently. One of the two employees I saw was, in fact, wearing a mask, but potential customers are asked to remove theirs.

Very rude and unhelpful customer service if you want to be treated like you are trash this is the place for you. Spent over $2500 with them and got kicked to the curb when my firearm fell apart after a few rounds.

This is one of the best places to shop or pawn for guns in the area on service and price.Their are about 3 or 4 gun shops with in 1 mile of this shop. Go to any of them first then go hear and you will see why this place is the best. This place is my go to place to purchase firearms. Not a huge inventory like other large companies like shoot straight but this allows the cost to be lower with more attention to customer satisfaction. Easy and simple to purchase guns from and through them - just download their FFL from their website and email it to the seller. To make story short - they are the best, they know their business, and most important thing - they are friendly weather you are an experienced buyer or beginner. My #1 place to buy. Best place for gun transfers! I recently made a purchase thru Gunbroker.com. At checkout, you can select Public Pawn & Arms. All their information, including the required FFL is automatically generated. After my shipment arrived at Public Paw & Arms, I received a convenient text msg saying it was processed and ready for pick up. The shop manager, Brian, is friendly, helpful and has a great knowledge of firearms...easy to talk with, as he was processing my background check and a short wait for the results to return. The store has a bit more inventory, both new and used, since my last visit in January when my friend made a purchase.

Went in a couple times recently. Kevin was still there and was nice and friendly as usual (but hes leaving in the next couple weeks permanently) and the other staff and i believe new owners had very dry attitudes that made me feel unwelcome. Just hurry up, buy, and leave attitude. Wont be coming back

I spent a great deal of time looking for a quality gun at an affordable price. I was a first time buyer and didnt know very much about guns nor their accessories/functions. I came across Public Gun and Pawn in Hollywood and found that their prices were considerably lower than most prices I found online. The staff was extremely courteous and patient answering all of my questions and making me feel comfortable buying the product from there store. Since that day that I bought my first gun, I have bought all of my 4 others ones from Public Gun and Pawn. The Staff is great and their prices even better. They also offer a concealed weapons course which is very well priced.

This has become my go to gun shop. I am not loyal to one shop or range because it usually pays to look around and find the same product at a better price. 9 out of 10 times public p & g will have the better price. They have received orders for me at $10 when other shops charge 50! And they special order too. Great staff. You know what? I think Ill go buy a new piece this week. Ive come here for a few things over the last year, and it was entirely coincidental. They had the lowest price around on the last few things I purchased. Which made me realize that it may not really have been coincidence. Its got to be the owner making an active effort to be competitive over other shops in the area. Plus theyve got the lowest transfer fee Ive ever seen or even heard of. Every occasion Ive gone in the staff have been very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I really cant say enough good things about them. This is the only shop Ill go to from now on in South Florida.

Small Gun shop. Brand new guns. Good people + excelent guns variety + good price. You cant beat that. I came in to the place while shopping around for a handgun. The level of knowledge of the owner and the staff (they all introduced themselves and I refrained to name them here.) was the indication I didnt need to go further. Personalized service, vast information and advise to what would be the best product to buy. A plus tip. Concealed weapons license class price are cheaper here than anywhere else in Dade county.
