Really cool store. Pay for parking is a little annoying but thats not their fault. Great selection. Prices are a bit high but fair overall. Store has a variety, not just records. I will be going back!

Got 2 banned out of print records in pristine condition. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely will be back. Spent $100. Worth every penny.

I came for the records, but I stayed for the knick-knacks and assorted memorabilia. Ended up getting two Superman comic books from the 80s and a Billie Eilish record. Wonderful little shop, definitely check it out.

Ive tried to go here several times within the posted store hours and its never open.Id recommend anyone in the area to check out Found Sound Records in North Miami instead. Super friendly/passionate staff, massive selection, and theyre actually open when they say theyre open.*EDIT*Deff not a fake review lol. I live off Harrison in downtown Hollywood, tried to come to your store several times, because its literally 10 minutes walking distance from my house. Not my fault you dont open up your store when the posted hours say its gonna be open. Sad that instead of admitting and possibly apologizing you try to lie lol. Thats fine though, I dont mind taking the drive to Found Sound.*EDITx2*If you want proof the owner here is dishonest, in reference to another review made below that someone was sold a record online from this store and was lied to about the condition. The owner claimed they dont sell records online, but you can look up Vinyl Asylum Discogs account online it says their exact name and location, even tells you they joined discogs 6 years ago.

Love this place, wish I came to it sooner. If you ever want a place that has memorabilia from American History from almost every decade of the 20th century. I was just there grabbing photos but kept looking around at everything else they have to offer. Good prices and a great place to bring your kids or parents and their parents too.

I purchased a record online from them that was listed as VG+. It arrived with excessive visible scratches & scuffs. The record will play but with overbearing static, pops, & even skipped. If you buy from them, I would recommend you go to the store to shop so you can actually determine the records true condition. Stay away from purchasing from them online. You cannot trust their grading standards.Update: Owner states they don’t sell online but you can find them on Discogs. Same store name. Same address. Probably not a coincidence. The owner is clearly dishonest.

Great Place to dig in a very good collection of classic Rock, Jazz, Blues and a lot of memorabilia. One of my favorite vinyl record stores in Florida.

The selection and quality is excellent. Its a fun store to browse. That being said; it is NEVER OPEN, . No posted hours and the hours on its answering machine and website are, I guess, a suggestion. Been there many times when store is completely black when its supposed to be open. I guess the owner opens it whenever the feeling strikes him. Horrible business practice.

I can honestly say it has been well over 30 years since I stepped foot into a record store. With all of technology today I never thought I would see a record ever again, let alone buy 1 errrr....4. Very neat store with cozy atmosphere. Mike is very helpful and a genuine store owner.I shared an idea on a product just to get his input from a customer perspective and he provided very useful feedback.

Vinyl Asylum has a collection of memorabilia that is unique and priced fairly. There’s something to interest and intrigue just about anyone here. Definitely worth stopping in and walking through!

I love this place. Mike is a really cool guy and has some stories to share. The record selection is super varied. I found some really good reggae, hip hop and rock records here.

The best vinyl record store I have ever been to. They have thousands of amazing records. It is like a vintage museum, you can spend a whole day looking through this place. I was amazed by the records and memorabilia I found in this store. I will definitely be back and I recommend everyone to check this place out!

Ive been to this store twice. First time i bought a brand new vynl which was great and fairly priced. Second time i bought 8 used vynls and was skeptical at first (price so good) but i am very happy with my purchase. Used vynls can have minor scratches and stuff but all the prices are so great and really make it worth it. Also all the used vynls i bought sound very great so i will not hesitate to go back! Also giving customers gloves to touch the records made me feel safe. Great place!!!! I will be back 🕺🏻

I was ready to buy 2 recods and wanted to listen to another record (quick test as vinyl diggers do) the owner got upset and say no cause i dont want to clean them again and said dont buy nothing and took the records i was getting ready to buy and refuse to sale them to Me. To every house/tecno and hip hop DJ who love to crate digthis place is the worst place to record dig. She was rude, nasty and dont understand the vinyl/ crate digging comunity. I currently own 2 Technicks 1200mk7, serato and rane 72. Very disappointing at this place and this was a 3hr waste of crate digging.

Great store!! So happy a friend recommended this store to me. I bought four albums and a TShirt. The albums were in perfect playing condition, even the one from the dollar bin. Free parking on Hkllywood Blvd which makes it easier to get to. Ill definitely go back soon.

Nice place but new releases are more expensive than other record shops or bookstores. BTW My Mother had bought the last time she was there a 12 inch record and when we she first played it found out it skipped because of a crack in the vinyl.

Worst record store ever!! the used records are sealed and you cant see condition. the condition is usually bad and over priced. doesnt help the guy there is the rudest person I ever met. stay away!!!!!

Selection is good and ive never had an issue with groove wear on anything Ive bought here. The prices are out of this world expensive. Its a high rent district so the prices match. You may find something youre looking for here but be prepared to pay a premium, for some this may be worth not having to dig through a lot of useless albums as most of the stock here is quality stuff. Some very nice things here but the prices are the most Ive seen at any shop in south florida. still 4/5 stars because everything is clean as can be and well organized. Its worth a stop in for sure, never know, might find something youre really looking for here.

There are 3 types of record collector: 1) the millennial/dj who just discovered vinyl and thinks its a hot new thing, 2) the nostalgia collector who mainly collects records from their youth as a way of remembering the past and 3) the hardcore collector who will dig thru boxes and boxes in junk shops to mind that rare pressing of an artist that no one remembers. Vinyl Asylum falls firmly into the second category. Most of his offerings lean to 60-80s nostalgia. If you are seeking ABBAs 1976 The Arrival youll find it, however, if you are seeking something like a Marilyn Mayes The Second of Maye it may be best to look elsewhere. The store is filled with lots of memorabilia mainly from the 70s and 80s. Take a gander at the $1 bins you may find a treasure or two, but keep in mind credit cards require $10 minimum...bummer.
