I have spent over $15,000 with the room place. i typically shop at The Homewood location. i had the pleasure of working with most of the staff and they ALL know me when i come in. I even bought coffee and lunch for the employees because i literally shop there so much. However on Jan 08,2021 there was a payment made to my account in the amount of $800 cash at 6:00pm to Cindy. I called corporate (which has not returned my calls) went into the location several of times (which they state they emailed accounting and i have to find receipt) and no one can tell me where my payment is. They keep saying i need the receipt as i mentioned i can not find the receipt i have been looking for weeks. As many times and as long as i been shopping there i have no reason to lie about 1 missing payment. I made a request to run the camera because i know the payment was made I had the time and date. They told me NO. And what a coincidence Cindy no longer works there and there is no bank deposit in there system to show my payment at least thats what they tell me . I have been requesting them to run there cameras and the answer they keep giving me is the cameras does not go back that far. For a big company such as room place i cant believe that.I will continue to right reviews and call corporate because they need to find what happened to my $800 payment that is a lot to take as a loss especially during a pandemic. I just want my payment to reflect on my account.Update corporate has been cooperative and is currently reviewing cameras. I will update accordingly.

I took one star off because I didnt see what I wanted, however they do have nice selections and if you are into gray, (Im not) this is the place to go . The guy who assisted me really did try hard to help me find the sofa I want. Actually, he did find it but unfortunately it only came in you guess it, that gray again and a beige so the hunt is still on. The prices are very reasonable also.

The store was very clean and the staff extremely professional. They arent pushy nor do they follow you around the store.

This was the worst place ever...I ordered a bedroom set for my children n they told us to empty out the room so we did...they brought the furniture n called me at 1pm stating they forget the hardware for the bed...so they have to go back warehouse n get it...it is now 7pm n they are telling me they will not b back tonight n my children will have to sleep on the floor until the next off day which is a week....this it truly unprofessional n sad....my money count but put ur children on the floor until we can get to at our convenient....I would not ever come back to this place nor this company

Ashley was a great sales person. She greeted me with a smile and immediately made me feel comfortable She took her time and let me tell her exactly what I was looking for and led me to several sofas that i really liked. She was so helpful and patient and made me feel like I knew her forever. Ashley should be given employee of the month for The Room Place. Corvin at the RoomPlace in Homewood provides excellent customer service. I had a delivery on dec 18th one of the pieces I asked the driver not to take it off the truck I didnt need it. Well since then back and forth with people at the RoomPlace daily. On Friday Covin took my call and promised me he would find out about my credit. He called back and asked if I could stop by. I did and he was WONDERFUL. He tracked everything found the proof of me no longer wanting the piece and he was amazing because he is new. Great job in hiring him.

Joan was very helpful and knowledgeable. i cannot remember the last time i had so much fun or felt so comfortable while shopping. I felt like i was out with an old friend. I will definitely tell all my family and friends to come see Joan.

I came into The Room Place in search for a new couch and I found one that would fit perfectly however the customer service was TRASH! I walked around the store about 15 minutes and past by 3 available employees who did not say a word to greet me or ask if I needed help considering I was a potential paying customer and the only customer in the store for that matter. Upon leaving a Hispanic male employee finally said “How you guys doing” but he never stoped walking or made eye contact. I had questions about the pricing that was posted but I won’t spend a dime there ever again because of the lack of customer service.

Joan was very amazing today when I came in to purchase a fireplace I was looking for. I will definitely return for all my furniture needs because she was super helpful and knowledgeable about any item I asked about. Great job Joan!!!

I had a wonderful experience at the room place. I was greeted warmly by my salesperson Lawrence Gibson. He is very knowledgeable about the products in the store. He was very respectful and courteous. He took his time explaining details and he listen well. After I completed my transactions, I had to talk to the manager Shay and tell her what a wonderful job Lawrence had done. I truly was satisfied with my purchase. I do have a problem with your agent putting those warranty pkg included on your bill.I purchase a sofa, dining set, and a bedroom set. Those warranties adds up. I purchase 2. I cancelled one which happened to be the bedroom set which is the one I should have kept. I didnt want any. So be careful with these warranties. I did have problems with the bed the screws popped out from the head board and frame.They came out and replaced it. Told me my warranty would be up in a year. I didnt need one on sofa or dining room set

So my husband and I are in the process of moving to a bigger place and we need new furniture for several rooms. So I was in the area and decided to take a peek inside to see whats out there. Yall. Look. Jose Bautista was everything and more! First off he was soooooo knowledgeable about all the products from price points, to functionality to financing. But thats his job. What makes him amazing is he connected with me on a human level so that I felt he genuinely just wanted to help me regardless of if I bought from him or room place or whatever. Because of that, room place was the first place I looked, but I almost just bought today. But I literally havent even found our new place nor let my husband see what I picked out yet for final say. I just want to emphasize to anyone, room place is great and reliable (my family has used them before) but Jose? Jose will change your life.

They have a great selection at this location. Went to look at some mattresses. A Sales rep by the name of Elias was very helpful. He was very knowledgeable and gave us the pros and cons of each mattress. He gave us his recommendation and love the mattress he recommended. Didn’t feel pressure to buy anything. Great customer service. When I go back to get a living room set I will return to this location and look for Elias again.

Coming to TheRoomPlace was great! I enjoyed working with Yesica. She was extremely nice and helpful. I will be back soon buying more furniture. I also had a great experience with the back office. All of the ladies were very nice and helpful to me!

A bad experience turned good once the manager Courtney and the floor sales manager assisted me with a disaster delivery issue. I purchase a bed on Friday by Sunday the bed was broke due to the negligence of the delivery team. Then I called customer service a million times b/f getting Courtney and she was pleasant through the whole process from start to finish. She set up a new delivery no problem and then delivery people brought The wrong rails after taking a day off of work they did not care thought it was funny. Reached out to The floor sales manager Courtney was out that day he took charge and tried to set up another appt very apologetic.. then Courtney came back called me, followed up after delivery to make sure everything went right this time.

Where do I even begin?!? I bought my bed there from Courtney M who couldnt have been anymore wonderful or helpful. She was SUPER knowledgable about everything and found me the perfect bed for my body and budget. SO perfect that I must have thanked her at least 20 times but not in a creepy way I swear. I spent all day in Orland looking for new basement furniture figuring we would find something because of more stores to choose from. The following day I stopped in this location and found exactly what I was looking for in less than 10 minutes with the help of Ramiro and Jose. They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I manage in a sales environment so its hard to impress me but these gentleman did. This is the second great experience Ive had at this location. The next time Im in need of furniture my local Homewood Room Place will be my first stop. Just a bonus that the sales tax stays in my community.

Recently went to The RoomPlace in search of a bed and mattress set. Its a very nice facility with some great furniture, but the service left something to be desired. I browsed from one end of the store to the other, saw several employees and not one greeted me or asked if they could assist me. It was like I was invisible, so I left. I went elsewhere and purchased a queen bed and queen mattress set. The old saying about first impressions is definitely true.

They advertise the white glove service I can’t tell by the delivery truck I wanted the room place truck to pull up instead a regular old white delivery truck with no name on it like I just Bought from the Discount store. Dont ever get furniture from here. Their sales reps add on their extended warranty after you tell them you dont want. Then when you ask them to take it off they will tell you, you have to get it. Also if anything happens to your furniture not only do the store wont fix it but also the extended warranty as well. This was my 1st and last time shopping at this place. I will continue my business at Bobs discount furniture at least theyre upfront with their customers

Let me start off by saying i do love my furniture. but i wish i can sleep in it. when i bought my bed room set the sales person Joan i believe that is her name was great at the time. while buying my furniture i asked if i needed a box spring and she told me i had to get one... well here comes delivery day and it turns out i didnt need a box spring i needed bungee board. even the delivery guys said with the type of bed you bought you never need a box spring and your sales person should of know that. so me and my husband been sleeping on a air mattress because we are still waiting for them to call us back..And when i called on Saturday the sales lady Joan was really rude and she still trying to tell me i need the box spring .

I was very satisfied with my living room set I purchased at the Homewood location. So many pieces and packages to choose from. The bedframe we order was out of stock for two months, but The Room Place is giving us a temporary frame until ours comes in. A bit pushy with the warranties, which I do understand, but that was the only part of the experience I did not enjoy.

I purchased about $20000 in furniture from this location (Homewood, IL) about 2 years ago, I was sold protection plan for my living room couches and was told if anything happens, whether a tear or they stop working mechanically they would be repaired or replaced, well that was a lie, I called the warranty company and they told me my coverage states it does not cover tears. I would understand if there was negligence and we damaged the couches purposely, but it is only myself and my wife, no kids, and the only two that sit on the couches. The leather on the couches has several small tears and it is just from normal use. These couches cost about $3000 for the set and I would expect them to last longer than 2 years and not be lied about the warranty. I warn those who shop at The Room Place, find a furniture place that sells better quality product and stands by a warranty they stated would be covered. DO NOT SHOP AT THE ROOM PLACE!!!! IF YOU DARE TOO, DO NOT BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, WASTE OF MONEY!!! I guess a customer who spends nearly $20000 to furnish his house is not valued.

I found exactly the furniture I was looking for at an excellent price

They have bad customer service ever ever..... i bought all my furnitures from them and also bought insurance for 5 years. but when my furnitures have problem with cracking or broken.... they dont want to repair or deal with it. they all try to say with unbelievable reasons and make us pay for repair.. what is the point that i bought the insurance for ?? i definately say that they stole my money for buying their protection plan and dont want to deal with it after i paid .... some of my customers from my business also have the same problems... so please dont buy any protection plan over there... im going to stop my business with your company too... you stole a lot of my money.... i will upload my receipts for people to see that all i said is true. i would give them a 000000 star...
