We purchased a Wesley Allen metal bed, plush mattress, and foundations in May 2021 after visiting Ensley Fairfield’s Homewood store. Our experience — from order to delivery — was excellent. The bed arrived a few days ago, well ahead of schedule. The pandemic made accurate prediction difficult, since the bed is manufactured in California.Set-up was quick and easy. We chose Wesley Allen’s Blake Metal Surround for its durability, since we were concerned that wood, fabric, or leather wouldn’t stand up to our cat. The bed is solidly built and complements our dark hardwood floor well. (Wesley Allen offers finishes to suit any décor.) The flat pieces that hide the foundations look more like wood than metal. The headboard is attractive, and the mattress is very comfortable.We were also pleased to support a local brick-and-mortar business that’s been around for more than a century. Highly recommended.

I purchased a mattress at the Homewood store on a Saturday and it was delivered on Monday. I was thrilled that my order was delivered so quickly! Chris communicated with me via text about the delivery window and showed up exactly on time. I am so happy we made this purchase from Ensely Fairfield Mattress Company and not a big box store.

The staff has always been polite to me any time I came in. I purchased a bed frame from Ensley Fairfield mattress and its very sturdy. I will be going back to purchase a queen mattress set. The queen mattress set they showed me is very comfortable, I cant wait to get it. Went back to Ensley Fairfield mattress today, 10/26/20 to purchase a queen mattress set. I always have a pleasant experience when I go to the store or call on the phone. Perry helped me out today with my purchase. Perry and the mother in law both helped me in the past to make the best decision possible. You dont have to deal with any hight pressure sales. I will continue to support the local businesses as much as I possibly can. Service is top notch. I cant wait to get my new mattress. It has been years since Ive slept in a bed. Im so excited.

We visited Ensley-Fairfield last Saturday, and it was a wonderful experience. The manager (or owner possibly) helped us so much. He took his time, answered our millions of questions, and we ended up with an excellent mattress. It was after their closing time when we left and he went above and beyond to make sure we were able to get our mattress the same day. I was truly stunned at the excellent customer service. I would never buy a mattress anywhere else, and I highly recommend this location (as well as the one in Pelham).

Just like The Bright Star, Ensley Fairfield Mattress Company has been in business over 100 years because they do business the right way. Don’t buy from the big box stores. Buy from a local, family-owned company who stands behind their products!!!

When my wife and I decided to buy a new mattress, we went straight to Ensley Fairfield Mattress based on our prior good experience. We had specific needs, most importantly that the mattress be latex-free. EFMs helpful and friendly staff pointed out which of their mattresses met our requirements. When we made our choice, EFM processed the order, manufactured the mattress set, then contacted us a few days later for us to select a delivery date and approximate time. On the agreed day (only seven days after we placed the order), delivery personnel called to confirm they were about 30 minutes away. They arrived on time and quickly and efficiently set up the new mattress and foundation. We were thoroughly impressed with all aspects of the buying process and have been very happy with the new mattress set.

I absolutely love this store. The staff was top notch from the moment I walked in the door all the way through delivery of our new mattress. I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out.

Never thought Id enjoy shopping at a mattress store, but coming to Ensley Fairfield Mattress Co. was exactly what my wife and I hoped for in buying our first mattress. Perry, 4th generation family owner, seamlessly assisted us along with another couple while there. It felt like a conversation instead of a sales pitch. We feel great about our purchase and will be referring to Ensley Fairfield in the future as well!

My wife and I had the best experience working with this family owned and operated Birmingham business. I probably called for a price on the same thing 2-3 times before ordering and they were as nice as could be each time. When I finally had my act together and was ready to order, scheduling the delivery was a breeze. When its time to replace our next mattress we will be back.
