Ive been to my fair share of gun shops before, but none of them come close to Shooters. My first trip in was back in 2018 I believe. I had been to another store asking about inexpensive bolt action 22LR rifles, as it would be my first firearm purchase. The unnamed shop actually told me to buy a real rifle, or leave the store and quit wasting our time. I choose to believe that maybe they were dealing with a rash of bad customers and thought I was just trying to pull one over on them, but I wasnt, I had every intention of purchasing a rifle. I went right from there to Shooters. A sales rep asked me if I needed assistance within minutes. I told him the same thing I told the other store rep, and he said he had the perfect rifle, a Rossi 22LR bolt-action. I still love firing that rifle, and I must have put a few thousand rounds downrange with it. Ive stopped in a few times for accessories like spare magazines, a gun case, and ammunition, always positive experiences. I recently went back to purchase a pistol for personal defense. I was shocked/pleased when the rep (I know his nickname is 22, I wish I remembered his actual name because he was great to work with) showed me that they actually had it in stock, as I was fully expecting to ask them to order it in for me, and to wait at least a year or so for it to actually come in. I asked 22 about the reliability, and if he would have any different recommendations, as this was my first pistol purchase. He had other ideas, and told me of some other slightly better models. I ended up going with my original choice because Im a cheapskate, but he at no point made me feel uncomfortable about my choice. He helped me select a holster and ammunition as well, and got me set up downstairs to pay. Easy and painless. Beware, because during the background check, you have time to wander around and look at the other guns on display and plan what your next big expense is going to be.One thing I will say is that most gun stores generally have a certain culture about them, and Im generally not the kind of person one would expect to see in a gun store, and plenty of other gun stores have made me feel highly unwelcome on their premise. Shooters has always treated me with kindness and respect, and makes me feel just as welcome in their shop as anyone. Theyre always friendly to me, Ive had a few good conversations with the employees, and I always feel as though my questions are thoroughly answered without them making me feel stupid or foolish.If you are looking not just to buy a gun, but for a great experience purchasing a gun, I would highly recommend Shooters. Even if their prices were 10% above market (theyre definitely NOT. Very fair pricing) I would still pay simply for the great atmosphere and service.Side note, their museum is sick. Give it a look, its awesome.

Great place with awesome staff, museum, ammo, reloading, steel/paper targets, large selection of firearms, optics, holsters.Ive bought a few firearms from these guys and they have good prices, a take-a-ticket system for fair assistance, in my experience same day 5-20 min background checks, always leave happy. Yes ammo selection can be limited but these folks work very hard to keep a wide selection and do a great job considering the industrys struggles. Also if youre looking for ammo or something in particular and have a long drive call ahead! Best no-bull shop around

My son started looking for a hunting rifle just before thanksgiving. We looked until Christmas. I told him we should wait till February. We went in to shooters outpost last weekend and their racks were full. We went through the racks and found a new Savage axis in the caliber (7-08) we were looking for. Price was excellent. The salesman Eddie was great. He was clear, professional, and very helpful. While waiting on the background check we went downstairs and grabbed some ammo for the rifle. I was disappointed that they did not have reloading dies as I would rather pay a few bucks more at shooters then order on line. But overall it was a great experience for my son. I highly recommend them for new or seasoned hunters and shooters. Thank you Jim for having such a great store! JP

We’ve always been pleased with the staff at Shooter’s Outpost, Hooksett. Every purchase I’ve made I’ve had a friendly, very helpful encounter with the staff. It’s not easy to find ammo these days without paying an arm and a leg. I think Shooter’s keeps it reasonable for the time we’re in. The museum there has got some neat finds, too. I highly recommend Shooters Outpost for firearm purchase; ammo or even just to check out the museum. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting the owners, however, if the quality of their staff is any indication, they’re good, trustworthy people!

I went to shooters outpost for the first time yesterday after I got off the phone with one of the workers there. I asked if they had any 9mm ammo in stock, he kindly answers yes they do. When I got to the store, the gentleman at the cashier respectfully ask if I remove my mask and smile to the camera for security purposes. All the staff there were kind and respectful! Great prices and quality products! Defiantly I’ll be back for more business.

Visited the store a couple weeks ago on the weekend in the early afternoon. They had run out of their daily offering of primers but still had a few bxs of 9mm and a good supply of .22 but no 44 mag. The staff was very friendly and helpful and yes it was busy but not crazy. The museum was pretty cool to see. If I lived closer I would stop in more often. Look forward to going back soon

We always get the best service at Shooters Outpost. Not a cliquey shop were all the same people hang around and chat up the sales guys so you feel like an outsider. They give real service to all interested buyers at the counter. They generally have a good inventory level and are happy to special order for me when needed. We frequent both the Hooksett and Amherst stores on a regular basis.

Always a great experience, they have worked hard to to keep stock in. Before the crazy started they always had what I needed at the best prices. The owner even hooked me up with some primers recently which is very much appreciated since my daughter and I like to shoot and I told her we were gonna have to cut back on the matches we participated in this year if things don’t change.Keep up the good work.

Seriously can anyone get ammo? That said can the store at least have a process to be able to provide ammo to all its patrons? A sign up sheet, even pay in advance and portioned out evenly? Today you can get an answer of when it would be there and just told try again. Would appreciate a little effort and creativity by the owners to accommodate all patrons.

I’ve bought a number of firearms over the years here, both used and new. Prices are generally fair and at times when I asked them to meet me halfway on a price I found elsewhere they’ve been accommodating. I appreciate that the salespeople take the time to actually get something that fits the customers needs rather than what might be the most profitable. I also appreciate that if the salespeople aren’t the most knowledgeable in a given area they direct you to someone that is. The owner Jim does a number of raffles throughout the year to benefit different charitable causes and that’s nice to see. It’s a well run business with decent, hard working people.

This place is great. Very knowledgeable staff and have a great selection of firearms and ammo. Well right now it is slim pickings for everyone but in my experience they never gouge on prices. Great store! I recently bought a small gun cabinet and a safe for my handgun here. Prices are fair and selection is good. I used to come to this location as a child when it was a western store. I didn’t give it much of a glance when it changed to guns. However, that changed when I bought my first handgun. I’m glad to have a store with such a great selection of products nearby.

This is a great place to find ammo, firearms, and accessories! They often have things that other shops don’t like holsters and spare mags but are sometimes a little lacking in variety when It comes to specific gear. Their ammo selection is pretty good and they often have some ammo in stock while other shops in the area are completely out. Honestly, the only thing that could make shooters outpost better is if on top of their store and museum they also had a firing range. There’s not many gun stores I’ve been to that can compete with shooters. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, their inventory is always great, and even during a pandemic they have consistently been getting ammo in and keeping prices fairly low compared to what some others are charging. I would also love to mention how they keep the lines moving quickly even when wrapped around the entire store. I live about an hour away from here and it’s definitely worth the drive every time I go, never have I been in here and left empty handed.

Being a retired serviceman, I wanted to visit a gun store that was Veteran owned so I went to Shooters Outpost. I wanted to buy a handgun, how did that go? They made me feel like a VIP. I was not hurried and the expert advice I received ensured I bought the handgun that was right for me. The price was also great. Ive also purchased ammo and their prices are always competitive. Best gun shop in New England! Prior to COVID, this was my go to shop for cases of 5.56 at great prices. Well worth the drive from Vermont. Although the ammo gods have not deemed me worthy of having another case any day soon, they still have managed to keep a great inventory of firearms available and the sales staff can’t be beat.

Always a great experience with friendly and informed staff who are happy to help. I was very grateful for the owner, Jim, taking the time out of his day to look over my great grandfather’s WWII era rifle. I went in with 0 intention to sell, which was praised by Jim, and in turn I got an extensive history of the rifle, and a full tour of the shop and museum. It meant a lot that Jim took the time out of his day to go into such depth and detail. Since then, I’ve made several purchases from the shop, and even in the current craziness, staff are always available to answer questions and help with requests.

I have purchased several firearms and lots of reloading supplies from Jim and the folks at Shooters Outpost. The Hooksett store is 30-35 minutes from my house, but willing to make the drive for the reloading supplies as they have the best selection in the Southern half of the state. Even during these difficult times they have been very helpful with finding suitable powders for me when my first selection is not in stock (like a lot of the options these days). Would like to see the reloading section copied in the Amherst store, but with the short supply of items these days, understandable why they leave it all consolidated in 1 location.

From the moment you drive in the parking lot you feel welcomed by the beautiful building. Once inside you are in awe just looking around from the ammunition, to the clothing, to the safes to the museum pieces. Walking up the large stairway into the gun area is great feeling as you go from the pistols to the long guns to the specialty areas like optics and kit builds. My very first firearm purchase was here almost a year ago, must say it was an excellent experience, was not made to feel inadequate or negative because I had no prior firearms knowledge. Ended up buying another one not much later and a bunch of accessories and ammunition too! Professional and knowledgeable and took the time to help me even though they were exceedingly busy. None compare to the well organized, clean and roomy stores as is found at both of the Shooters Outposts. Any questions I had about firearms or related products, were always answered with knowledge and non-biased answers. There prices are very reasonable compared to the competition.

I always recommend all my friends and family to go here because they always have what you are looking for and the friendly staff will help with any questions you have. Plus the FREE museum is an excellent added bonus!

Every time I go to shooters outpost I leave satisfied! I can go in and have questions and these guys are always happy to answer all of them. You walk in and are greeted instantly and asked if you need help! Ive been to a few other gun stores around the area but this place is hands down my go to place. Bought my first two guns here and the staff was beyond helpful with my decision making! Even through the drought of ammunition Shooters somehow always has ammo available to their customers. Never enough great things you can say about Shooters Outpost. The staff are professional, helpful and always pleasant. Everyone is always eager to help, and never lazy. And then theres the store itself. Indisputably THE largest selection of firearms, ammo, mags, parts and accessories, NFA and everything in between. Best prices around, and that goes double for during the pandemic. The ONLY place youre going to find regular supply of the ammo you want when no one else has any. Huge selection of steel targets, safes, non-lethal defense and reloading supplies. This is the place to be.

Ive been buying ammo and other stuff from Shooters for a few years now. They have a great selection and decent prices for ammunition and other stuff. The staff are nice, helpful, and seem to be knowledgeable about the items they sell.The Museum is really cool too!

Shooters has always been my go-to place for firearms and ammunition. Their staff has always been helpful in making sure the gun/rifle that I bought was the right choice for my purpose. I have purchased many guns from them over the years and took advantage of their bulk ammo selection. They always had fair prices and went out of their way to help me, without the egos of other gun shops. As an added bonus their museum and restaurant make gun shopping a experience rather than a chore. I highly recommend them.

Its been a while but I stopped in today. Ive been one other time, but didnt get a chance to really look around or even go upstairs the first time. This place is incredible. They have an outstanding selection of everything firearms related and as other reviewers have noted they have competitive prices. I know theyve been doing an outstanding job getting ammo and other products in when you cant find it anywhere else. The first time I was in was in the beginning of COVID and I couldnt find ammo anywhere but there and the line was wrapped all around the store. Im hoping to stop by again soon and would love to try Big Kahunas Smokehouse next time. Hopefully Ill be able to check out the Amherst location soon too but fortunately I live really close to the Hooksett location. No question the best gun shop in NH.

My wife and I bought our first firearms here. In the midst of chaos jim and his staff accommodated every last one is that day. Lines are always formed (there’s a reason for that) but move fast. Top notch service from an awesome group. Very knowledgeable about everything in the store. We continue to shop here and highly recommend that YOU do to!! Thanks guys.

Theres truly nothing negative to say about shooters outpost. I have purchased multiple firearms from both stores and can say the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. Ask a question and they have an answer right away! Their selection is some of the best Ive found in NH. I can say you couldnt and wouldnt be happier anywhere else! Highly recommended
