Dropped in to find some travel guides becauseImplanninga trip to Chicagonext summer. They had a decent selection overall but only a few for Chicago. Checkout was quick and associate was friendly.

They have a really great store for kids. Nothing I needed. Even asked

I went with my friends and the experience was pretty nice! We ordered some food there and it was good, though I wish they had some more variety of mangas. The selection for it was a bit disappointing but it was alright. The cashier was sooo nice to us!!

Not the best experience. I have gone to this location for the past several years and customer service is always hit or miss. Definitely go there less and less, sadly.

Support this business if you can, we are losing too many like it. Very clean and well stocked book store. B&N are trying hard to survive and this will help. Has toys, music, games and movies. Coffee shop is surprisingly good.

Everyone is always so friendly nd helpful. The one negative I have, would be the coffee bar. Has a Starbucks emblem overhead, but they dont honor Starbucks gift cards. Lady behind counter didnt seem to be enjoying her job either.

I went in to find a small notebook. I did have to ask but the employee that helped was absolutely amazing! She found what I needed and more. Instead of buying one small thing, she found me, and my dad, a few things that were on clearance that we bought, as well.So far, the notebook she found is serving my needs on my nursing travel contract a few states away.

Its a cookie cutter Barnes and noble but still a fun experience

Perhaps I just havent been in a bookstore in a looonnng time, but this one is nice!Went in last night and the store was populated yet quiet... not in an eerie kind of way, but you know... in the way that a decent bookstore should be :) The entrance is well lit with a nice, big sales display of various Samsung/Nook tablet/reading devices. Of course you have the coffee, holiday gifts/stocking stuffer stuff scattered about and ummm, BOOKS!!Theres also a round kiosk of sorts that looks as if it should have registers, but nope... more like a librarians desk at a public library... only there for help/research purposes. The associate who was in this area was very helpful, allowing people I was with to order a book that was no longer physically on the shelf and also answered other intriguing questions about the store and their processes!

This was my first time ever going to Barnes & Noble. The store is beautiful, and everyone was so nice. I wish I could remember their names . The gentleman that helped me was just wonderful and the lady at the checkout was funny and charming. It was my first time but I will definitely be going back.

Was wasting time....asked a couple times if I needed help, when I said no, they just let me roam.

Always a fun place to visit. You can catch some great deals on clearance or find some awesome pop culture items. Nice selection of books and board games! The bathrooms are always wrecked though. Coffee shops will do it

Relaxed atmosphere, clean, brightly lit displays, easy to find whatever I needed or was curious about.It has been several years since I had been in this location, and was surprised to see familiar faces greeting me, as well as my favorite books in the same places. I think my next apartment is going to have to be near a B&N.

One of the best Barnes and Noble locations I have visited.Very peaceful environment all throughout the day, even on weekends. Have multiple copies of books in demand. Staff is jovial and passionate to help customers. Have visited this place multiple times and loved it every single time.Location is very convenient and you can spend a whole day here if you are into books.

I feel bad taking off one star because I love reading and I know how competitive the bookstore market space is right now. But the truth is I often walk out of Barnes and Noble empty handed because either they didnt have what I was looking for, or it was ~30% more expensive than other places Ive looked. The coffee shop is good though and its definitely a solid place to look for gifts.

Love this place. Books and magazines for everyone. My kids love coming here as well. Their childrens section is excellent. I love being able to grab a coffee as well. I am able to find the more uncommon things here as well.

Love BAN, and in particular this one. The manager with long hair and a beard is great. However, the cashier using gloves, would not put my audio CDs in a bag, resulting in me, pulling several because they stuck together and she had sanitizer! Nevermind, that Ive been a member since theyve been in Birmingham and have purchased just about everything, but just spent $140. 00 on audio books and last week $30].00 at the BAN on HWY 280, who put my audio books in a bag. Not happy.

Oh, wow! Love this place! Though its smaller than Books*A*Million, it still has a homey sort of atmosphere, almost like a library. They have several places to sit and read...books, magazines, graphic novels...pleasant staff who are always available to help.

Barnes and Noble is my go to bookstore. Its a great place to sit have a cup of coffee and peruse a book or magazine. Most any book, magazine or recording you might be looking for can be found here. If they dont have it they will get it for you.

This Barnes and Nobles is horrible. The barista who was making coffee at that time said a rude comment to my boyfriend about the way he looks. I can’t remember his name but he had a really strong accent. I also applied for a job there and had two interviews and than both of the managers led me on to believe I had the job and the lady manager lied to me. Why couldn’t they have been up front and honest with me. I wouldn’t recommend this Barnes and Nobles to anyone. I had also lost my ring and one of the workers didn’t even really help me or go check lost and found. I had to find the manager to check lost and found. The one at the summit is better and the employees are a lot nicer.

First off, I love this place. I know for some its a big store and not your quaint neighborhood bookstore, but in this day and age, its a bookstore! They just finished redoing the back of the store with more puzzles, games and collectables. Nice touch. They are always friendly, helpful and the store is always clean and well organized. I love going here.

Love coming here to find a new read! Any employee Ive asked for help had always had great knowledge of the store in general as well and books I was looking for specifically. They do a good job keeping it nice and clean too!

Although Barnes and Noble has become less of a bookstore and more of a intellectual kid-friendly form of Spencers or Hot Topic, they make it work. This store is no exception, with clean and wide aisles packed full of books, toys and memorabilia.The bathrooms are large and clean and the staff are super approachable and friendly.

Starbucks. Always friendly employees. Decent selection, average pricing. I always enjoy going to look around even if I dont buy more than a coffee.

It just needs coffee and comfy chairs to read in.

Great book store. I find it hard to navigate sometimes so its best to just find an employee and tell them what you are looking for. It will save you time and stress. However if you just want to browse around that can be fun also. Has a Starbucks located inside so plenty of coffee and pastries to enjoy.

Great assortment of books but there was no one in or around kids books. I was back there 45 minutes and no one ever came in that area I could get to answer a question. I had 2 young kids I could leave to go hunt for help.

The store is always clean and they are very helpful at the information desk. My problem today was the person at the checkout told me to insert my card but she had not totaled the entry correctly, so we had to start over again. Now I am hoping I dont have two charges on my card.

Helpful staff. If they dont have the book youre looking for in stock, they can usually get it. Relaxing environment for meeting a friend or two for a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. In addition to the usual coffee features, the Starbucks located within also has a variety of treats/sandwiches.

Spent literal hours working on projects in the coffee shop, the book selection is also great! Barnes and Noble is always a joy!

The staff went above and beyond to help me locate an item that said was in stock in their store but I couldnt find. 2 employees searched everywhere until they found it. Best customer service Ive had all year.

Great place to find new books that have come out. The customer service is great! I asked a sales associate for help to find a book since I had searched the whole store. They did have it in stock it was just put up in a random place due to another customer and the sales associate still found it!

Great spot to grab a coffee and browse. Excellent selection of books and the media section is one of the best around in an era where this type if thing is slowly going extinct. Helpful staff and comfortable seating. It is a little heavy on the tchotchkes at times but for some odd reason this seems to be the case at most book stores these days.

I come here all the time and I love this place. They have EVERYTHING where and when it comes to reading. They have it ALL and their staff is readily helpful.

The staff is super helpful. We prefer going here to some of the other bookstores because they have more options for books, but also have a plethora of cards games that our family enjoys.

Very warm and nice environment with a coffee shop

I love being able to roam around looking at books a magazines. The store was clean, with a warm, welcoming feeling (like a library), the temperature was not too hot, nor too cold.

Went to return items my wife bought online but didnt have a reciept and the manager refused my return saying that while some B&N stores carry my returning product, THEY did not and so they wouldnt accept my return without reciept. This isnt what the B&N return policy says. They should have honored my return and at least guven me a store credit if not the money back. Taking my business to Books A Million.

Was able to find what I was looking for. Staff was helpful in pointing out where I could find what I was looking for. They have changed the layout of the store taken out the area where they carried cds and dvds.

I love a bookstore! I just hate that the diversity of choice continues to shrink as the proportion of shelf space devoted to mass market expands.
