I love this store! I mainly love getting my kids clothes here. Lots of great deals and my kids always love the dresses! 😁 very helpful and friendly staff!

Out of an abundance of caution... Due to COVID.... We are making everyone, men and women, use the same fitting room. Just to make sure everyone gets it.....or to cut staffing costs. Not sure which.

I love the great deals in the clearance area. And so close to the customer service checkout!

This is my first time out shopping since COVID 19. Jc Penney has been around a long time. There you can find many good sales. There are 3 issues I have...coupons, sale signs and pricing First of all when your product is on a sign that says buy one get one half off with more of tbe same merchandise, the customer should be granted the sale. Secondly, if coupons online says you can use them in store, but doesnt specify that they cant be used for name brand, again, there should be at least tryingto use it instead of just saying no, its name brand...????. Thirdly, if your pricing says one price and rings up more, thats not the customers fault. When the cashier called the lady with a scanner and it showed the price in the computer and they still didnt know how to handle the transaction. Why does the manager have to tell the cashier that whatever is on the tag, is what they have to sell it for? Thats cashier training 101. Although the manager showed her how to ring it up, not one time was there an apology given. If youre gonna honor your customers, do it properly and with understanding. If the workers were customers, I am sure they would feel the same.

So many discounts on clothes its a great time to shop.

Great selection of Mens clothing items. We went Easter shopping and completed it for my son and myself. 5 stars if there were more registers open. We Waited several minutes since 2 people were running registers on the main floor.

A bit short on staff but still an adequate selection. The store was clean and I hope it stays open.

Very impressed even though they needed more help. The employees were very personable and polite. The store was Very, very neat. Door Windows needed to be cleaned, the displays and departments were neatly cleaned and in order. Fultondale needs to visit the Galleria Store, and take a few notes. So many great sales!

The prices are great but only 2 cashiers working in the store. A lot of grown people walking around coughing with no mask on. The mask mandate, I guess, is irrelevant!!!

This is a two story store. They have a hair salon. This place is great, but they mostly have private brands. The bathroom cleanliness could be better. It was very hot in there it was so hot I had to leave because I was sweating. overall ok.

Better prices than Macys but very short staffed

Store is okay but the restroom definitely needs deep clean definitely the urinals are nasty and other one dont even flush at all

They dont honor their online prices in-store. Also, theyre selling non-authentic Levis clothing (i.e. t-shirts), for more than what Levis sells their authentic ones. Stay woke, guys. Beware!

Was looking for a wedding dress for my best friend. Customer service was great!

This store was a complete mess. No cashiers and the one lady in mens was so rude. No management on duty. The restroom was totally destroyed and nasty. When I told the lady it needed attention her response was I know. Absolutely no workers upstairs. Used to be my favorite store, wont shop the Galleria store again.

The house hold department was empty and boring. No taste in decorations. Should visit other JCP stores for ideal and tips. Southhaven JCPENNEY is beautiful and better.

I went in august to buy school clothes for my nephew. My mom who uses a wheel chair and walker for mobility was with me. We felt so accommodated with Annie. We stood in the fitting room line which is only one thats open, which is frustrating but we understand due to covid and probably shortage of staff to work the fitting room to make sure people can get in and out of there. She walked by us and spoke to us and explained the fitting room process. She not only dis that for us but for others who came up as well. She also expressed concerned for my mom making sure she stay safe during covid bc she is elderly. I thought that was kind. Someone was in the dressing room and broke the door before we got there. She was upset about it and wonder why the person couldnt seek help instead of break the door. I can tell she treat he job like she would anything she values and respect by the way she was concerned about the door and tried to fix it. She immediately let her superior know about it and even he was friendly when he came to the fitting area to check out the issue with the door. When we checked out, Annie was so engaging, friendly, and kind. Thats what we need, more people like her not only at companies but in the world. Those few minutes of kindness can make a big difference in someones life especially during this time (covid) in the world. She definitely needs to be recognized by the company! Try to see Annie if youre at jcPenny. She will make your day!

Jcpenney is pathetic! Walked around forever trying to find a fitting room. Finally found an employee in jewelry dept. She informed me only one fitting room was available and it was in the Mens suits dept which was a long hike from where I was. She literally meant one fitting room, rest were blocked off. So finally ready to check out, cant find anybody to take my money. I ran across the same lady, nope she couldnt take my money. She informed me I would have to go to the Mens dept to pay! I know we are in the middle of a pandemic but come on this is ridiculous! Will not be going back to JCP at Riverchase Galleria!

Absolutely the worst experience! Only 1 register open, in mens dept! I was buying a dress, walked all over store to see signs saying mens dept. To cash out. 15 people in line, poor elderly women at register was giving it all she could. Manager was called for customer, she came fixed issue then walked away. I noticed 2 other personnel (with radios) walk by a few times. Not even offered to help bag for the poor cashier! My shipping days are done there!

JCPENNY is definitely one of my favorite places to shop. The deals are fabulous!

I love me some JCPennys. I love their sales. This store at the Galleria is a lot bigger than the one I usually go to closer to my house. They had a large selection of Mens sports coats and suit separates. I got a great deal on some new summer clothes for my husband. I always enjoy shopping here.

Had a great clearance sale at the time of my visit. Got a pair of Arizona leggings for $3.00 and an adorable swimsuit for next summer for $4.50. This store has too many entrances & exits, quite easy to get turned around and forget which door exits to parking spot. Since they have designated an area for online purchase pickups the line moves much faster.

Found exactly what we were looking for and it was on sale! Love the Value of Quality clothing brands at Rational Prices!! Cashier was super friendly & helpful!!

This is a great store. Many coupons and sales all the time on quality clothing and more. They have just a few places to check out which is not good. But we got in and out tonight without to much of a wait. I love JCP in Hoover. I hope they will continue to stay open. The small amount of people worries me about whats going on with the company. But everyone was friendly and they have rewards points. Please try them.

I didnt care for the process of the cashiers. I was in line for 20-plus minutes and there was only four other people in front of me once I got there so I just put my stuff back and left.

I actually ordered on line which was a very good experience. I ordered a toy for my grandson which I ended up taking back because his other grandmother had purchased it for him. I went Christmas eve morning expecting a long line but I was in and out in just a few minutes. The lady at the counter seemed to be struggling and I tried to cheer her up. Only when I left and wished her a merry Christmas did she smile. Overall it was a very good experience. One criticism though is try and find someone who likes to be in customer service!

The store gets it done. Feels dated and could use some clearer organization. You dont want to trap your customer anymore you want to give him options. I know what I want and roughly where I can find it. Usually there is a sale i take advantage off. Not bad at all.

Jcp in in the Galleria was great! She removed my security tag!! Thank God!! 😁 I had purchased several dresses from the fultondale location and one of your dummies forgot to take the security tag off of one of my dresses and I didnt notice till I was going to wear it to church and wallah! There is the security tag🤬 so I go to the fultondale location to have it removed which they have done a few times with my husbands sportcoats and those hephers couldnt do it without a receipt which is understandable but look it up!!! 🤬To see when it was purchased and by whom!!! 😡.if youre gonna put security tags on the damn clothes make sure they go off or make sure all of your employees remove them!!!!

JCPenney is not like it used to be but its still a very good store to look at. They have some great buys and this location is always very organized.

Mass confusion. Their systems down so couldnt use Penneys card. Merchandise ringing up wrong price. Cashiers need more training as did a manager. I wanted to shop brick and mortar for my holiday shopping but after this experience, Im going back to Amazon.

Ive been going to this store since high school, and the staff and selection here have always been pretty good. However, over the last several years, they have really been neglecting their actual space. It is always uncomfortably hot and some of their dressing rooms are in shambles. I wish I had taken pictures today. Dust piles all over the floor, lights not working, what I can only hope was makeup smeared all over the walls, gum on the floor, no hooks to put clothing on inside the dressing room, no chair to help with balance...I dont get it. It wouldnt take very much investment to fix.

Still recovering from Christmas in February, but it seemed like almost everything was on sale. Nice little shopping adventure!
