Went to Bluff Park Diner on the recommendation of a friend. Diner was updated, clean with digital menus and TVs for viewing enjoyment.Food was served cafeteria style with your choice of Meat and Three with an assortment of cakes, pies and cookies. Menu changes daily.Slightly expensive for this style of food. Paid $34.50 for a meat/3, meat/2, two deserts and two drinks.I chose the fried chicken breast with white gravy, Mac and cheese, cream corn and cinnamon apples, a roll and cookie for desert. My wife got the country fried steak and gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, fried okra, roll and strawberry cake.Chicken breast was crisp and juicy, cooked well, white gravy was watered down and runny. Mac and cheese with cream corn was excellent. Cinnamon apples were bland and just plain. Roll had been in warmer too long and hard.Country fried steak was cooked from frozen, not homemade. Mashed potatoes were fair with runny, watery brown gravy. Fried okra was crisp and crunchy.Cookie was a warm and fresh, large chocolate chunk cookie. Excellent in my opinion. Strawberry cake was a “boxed” mix with little flavor that was coated with an over sugary, bland strawberry icing.Would have normally given two stars for food and price, but the modern, updated dining room, new cafeteria serving line and digital menus and TVs kept me at a 3 star.Overall food was fair but not worth the price. But located in nice area with bluff views and super nice community.
You need to have your line people clean out their ears I asked for extra onions and peppers Twice on both plates just to be ignored. Also somehow gave me a roll when i asked for cornbread. I love bluff park diner love the food and the service is normally outstanding but that was off putting. Ive experienced better from here
Killer food, I had turkey and dressing, cabbage, fried okra, Mac and cheese and a blackberry cobbler to wash it down. Everything was well seasoned, I didn’t have to reach for salt or pepper once, which happens sometimes in a meat and three place. I’m kinda craving it again now, I’ll have to visit again next week…

The food was very mushy, tasteless and it was very hot in the building. My family didnt eat any of their food. Very disappointed and will not be back to eat again. Would not recommend.

A great community diner, usually with choices of 3 entrees with an assortment of fresh southern cooked veggies to go along with. Great staff located in the all famous Shades Crest, with city view across the street.
This is a hidden little cafe on the top of Shades Mountain with delicious meats and vegetables including hard to find carrot soufflé !

Nice atmosphere, employees are outgoing, good location, but food is definitely not homemade. Instant potatoes, canned veggies, reheated frozen meat, banana pudding was bland and the bananas were black, half a cherry tomato in the salad, and rolls were hard. For me its too pricey for the cheap food they serve.

A staple of the Bluff Park community. We enjoy this place, usually for take out but we do dine in occasionally. Great southern cooking and fantastic prices with a friendly staff. If youre nearby enjoying Bluff Park and need something to eat this is a great place to check out. Theres always a few different meats and a bunch of different vegetables. You will like it!

Good old Southern meat and three. Usually get it to go but the staff is friendly and efficient. Food is generally excellent but a few items could be improved. Just try it and find what you like. Dont miss the pecan cobbler.
I grew up in Bluff Park so remember this place as Berts on the Bluff. I havent been back since it changed names/ownership but am glad we tried it. The service was excellent, quick and always with a smile. The food was excellent. We will be back for sure.

We love this place. My husband always gets the catfish and he raves about it. I love the hamburger steak! We find ourselves going more and more! I have also had the baked spaghetti! Yum! Service is so good and you feel at home.

My first experience here and I want to come back ASAP! My husband and I had the catfish and an assortment of vegetables and they were probably the best I have ever eaten! The catfish was perfect in ever way. They offer catering for those special events you may have in your life. I’m looking forward to going back soon!

This is the best Turkey & Dressing. Whenever they have it I order it. Unless they have Fried Catfish that day, its equally amazing. & they have some oversized Chocolate Chip Cookies for dessert. Glad this place is around.

Great fried chicken better then what I had at Hattie Bs. Everyone should try it. Only complaint they could add sour cream or a spoon of mayo to get the instant taste of mash potatoes to taste like homemade but the fried chicken is the bomb, besides if you got a score of 97 from the health department then you got to be good and clean.😎😀😇

Classic diner feel and taste. The food was good, and there was a lot of it! Not extremely crowded for lunch, which makes it a perfect stop if youre looking for a quick bite.

I recently ate at this restaurant, and I must say I am very pleased. They have excellent food, very polite workers who are lively and friendly, and the restaurant is kept very clean. I would definitely recommend eating there.
The hamburger steak was really juicy and nicely done, but the star was by far the pecan cobbler. It was amazing! I think Im going to sneak back down here and get some more of that!

Overall I would give it a 4/10I had the meatloaf and it was saturated in grease and didnt have any resemblance of a traditional meatloaf. It was flavorless and gross. The mashed potatoes tasted instant. Mac and cheese was the best thing that I had and it wasnt great. I used to eat here when it was Berts on the Bluff when I was in college. I was excited to return after so many years, and even though its changed names, the food is still just as delicious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
