I love big lots. The store was clean and organized. The cashier was efficient and friendly. I found everything I went in for.

Store was very neat and stocked. Store staff was very helpful. Lots of new things. Only negative I could see was need... to make sure that everything was priced either on product or on shelves.

But Ill take the floor model ... Oh no, youll have to order. So sell me the floor model and you order.. oh no.. so we left

Omgoodness!!! I am in LOVE with this place! The Prices here are Amazing! The quality of the items are top notch! They even have FURNITURE!! Oh and the Staff... Im pretty sure its the BEST of the BEST of the BEST!I Shop a lot & I have NEVER encountered the quality of service from a staff such as I received from the ones here at this location in Hoover! They are 💯‼️ and to top that off it was done with a smile & laughter! Not once was I ever made to feel as if I was an inconvenience! For this reason, I have told about 10 or 12 people already of my experience there(those were my face to face people, family).Im glad to have the ability to let many more know of my experience so they will be able to enjoy the same! Please, go by Big Lots! Try them out! Hey, definitely purchase some hand towels and washcloths! They are amazing! Lol! Great price! Great quality! Happy Shopping!!

Today my oldest daughter decided to stop & browse ( our 1st visit) in between her dr appts. It is one of the most cleanest & well organized locations!! The employees were also very helpful & nice!! Today is the first of many visits to come!!

I like going to this place, I find pretty deco and make me want to spend my money there. Also like how clean and neat stacked it is. The only reason Im giving 4 stars is because they let in customers without a face covering.

Do not ever shop here for furniture.I ordered a couch from here on July 2, 2020.the salesperson told me it would be available for pick up on the next truck because I was next in line. The next furniture truck would be at the store witjin The salesperson, Doug, told me that he would call me when the couch was here.I called today, July 30, 2020. I was told that because the furniture manufacturer has not been sending enough furniture, that my couch will not come and Doug doesnt know when it will be here.Do not buy from this place.

Excellent store. Super clean including the shopping carts. I love that the Manager is out working on the floor just like everyone and that he speaks respectfully to his employees. What a great example. Every person Ive come in contact with so far have been helpful and friendly. They have had a great selection of items and some great sales. If they keep this manager and continue in this fashion I think this store will continue to be a success.

It was not too busy but the items that were supposed to be on the shelve were not there, broke or limited in stock. There was no assistance on the floor and there was a long wait at the register.

The Hoover Al. location has a very friendly and helpful staff. I would much rather go there than Wal Mart.

I called and asked if they had potting soil? I was told they had a small bag and large blue bag of soil. I asked for the potting soil price for the large blue bag of soil .. even told them I was coming 50 +- miles. I was quoted 5.65 a bag.. and they had a pallet full. When getting there they said sorry it cost 9.50 a bag... YOU got the price for the small bag inside the store. I explained I had CALLED before coming and told them I needed 10 big bags of potting soil not the little bags. They just said they quoted wrong price. Guess they like to quote wrong price no sale. Will not be using this store anymore. Watch prices because they are dishonest ..

They didnt have all of my stuff ready i gave them a 3 week notice and they say my stuff will not be until they can get it all in

Good location. Much improved and larger. The store layout is great! They finally seem to have staffing to keep the lines from being too long. I love the variety of goods they are able to carry now. Even a showroom for furniture!

The store was nice and neat and well stocked, but the prices were not as low as I remembered them as being. The honey I bought was almost $15.00 and I had a reaction to it. Then I read the label and saw it was from Argentina, so I am most likely allergic to whatever flower, etc. that Argentinian bees feed on. I tossed the bottle and replaced it with honey from Winn-Dixie which is produced in the good old USA. The Big Lots store though is very nice and I will most likely go there again when I am in that area.

This particular Big Lots is the cleanest, most organized and well stocked Ive patronized.It reflects well on the management.I would think its a model store for others to emulate.

A brand new location gave Hoover’s Big Lots a big boost in appeal. We have shopped here several times since the relocation. The employees are very nice and friendly. The store is also very clean and well organized.

It Has turned into a cheap furniture store. Noting is good quality. Not much else. They have gone down hill since moving locations.

Ordered a couple products from the store July 3rd 2020. It is now August 9th with no update on the arrival of the order. I understand Covid is rampant, but a simple update would be nice from the manufacturer. Could be somethung like Due to covid contamination we had to stop production to sanitize or Sorry for the delay due to materials held up by covid. No arrival date yet. Whats wrong with that? Big Lots has no Protocol whatsoever in place to verify updates from a supplier. No information until it ships. NOT GOOD! So we decided to pick something else compatible to what we had originally ordered. They wouldnt even give us the same price as the original order because it was not on sale today. Wasnt but $100 difference, but its the principle. Again, NOT GOOD! probably the last we will ever order anything again. If its not in the store, DONT ORDER IT!

I was looking for some items that the website states were in stock. I asked the sales rep and she attempted to look but never came back. Coming from out of state where the big lots team normally offers to order or locate at other locations. I was highly disappointed that Hoover location didnt offer to do so.

Until just the other day I had never actually set foot inside of a Big Lots store. Luckily it was a Sunday and I needed to kill half an and to be honest BestBuy was closed, and Im so happy they were. As soon as I walked in I was instantly impressed at how clean and well put together the entire Store seemed to be. Not only that I saw that there was a full furniture department right there in front of me. And with most of what was on the price tags, and the huge variety of products, Ill definitely be back by atleast once more before Christmas, if not several times. The only thing I could not find was Mr. Bubbles bubble bath. The only thing I forgot to check-on during my time here was what would or would not qualify an individual for a Big Lots credit card. But if youve never ventured it a Big Lots I highly reccomend popping in
