WOW what a sweet little surprise this place was! I was impressed by the tea latte they made me, and I want to come back to try many more of their offerings. Not only do they sell books, but they also have some lovely things around the shop to buy like vinyl stickers and handmade earrings. I loved the atmosphere, I wish I could have stayed longer.

This bookshop + cafe is amazing and well-worth a visit! Its my local go-to for books. In addition to the latest releases, they have a really solid selection of used books interspersed throughout the store, plus $1 used book sales occasionally. There is a cute selection of local crafts and small gifts, too.Staff is always friendly, and their seasonal coffees are SO GOOD. We love that they have beers on tap, too. Cream and Amber is my favorite book shop! They have fun new books and even have second hand sales periodically. The owners and staff are so friendly and wonderful. Especially during Covid upswings, they would bring my orders to my car and were so pleasant. I appreciate the steps they continue to take to keep their customers safe. Stopped in today for a Thursday book club meetup. Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Was able to get a table for 5 on the patio easily. Only issue is they close early!!! Would love if they stayed open until 8pm on the weekdays. Most of my book club members cant meetup until 6pm, and this only gives us 1 hour of discussion. :(

While I have never been inside the location, I have ordered books through their Kind Kid Book Box. They choose beautiful books written by wide variety of authors and illustrators. Despite that fact that I live in a very diverse city, there are many people, places and viewpoints that my kids havent been exposed to, and these books bring the world to their door in engaging and powerful ways. Every choice C&A has made has become a favorite in the household.

This place is a true gem in the little town of Hopkins. Everything they do is small scale. Dont come for a larger book selection than Barnes & Noble, or a larger coffee spread than Starbucks, or more craft brews than all the nearby pubs, or more food than a different cafe. DO come for all of those things done at a small scale, but done extremely well in a community oriented setting.Come back often to try more beer as they rotate through local brews. They make 6 taps go really far because each one has a different flavor profile so youre never bored. Check out their rotating featured books, or try something new from a local author. The staff are all very knowledgeable, so they can definitely help you out.All around a friendly place to hang out, eat, drink, and read. The bartender was great help for us deciding what beer to get and even gave us samples to taste. This might just be the place that gets me to join a book club.

I read on the website that the community room is available to reserve and I thought it would be fun to try it out and support my local spot. We LOVED our experience using the community room! First of all, I emailed the owners beforehand to ask about snacks and we were offered a complimentary cheese board, as they were expanding their menu and wanted us to sample. It was delicious with a great variety of cheeses and perfectly fit for a book club! The room itself is super cute and comfortable and it felt private but not shut off from the rest of the store/bar. We felt catered to, which we werent necessarily expecting, and were really impressed with the level of service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cream & Amber and will definitely visit again!
