Worst experience of my life. I wouldnt even give them a one star. This place lies to their customers and doesnt commitment to their part of the agreement. They refused to deliver my u boxed after they said they would. Wanted to charge me an extra $750 on top of what I already paid because they made a mistake and didnt realize the storage hual center was to far for delivery. I try to get on the phone to resolve the issue and I still havent been able to get an answer. No one with customer service is willing to help. Been 3 days and still no solution. Ill never use this service again
If you have an ubox delivered here, you’re doomed!!! The guy at this store doesn’t know how their system works. They will never update anything in their system, so nobody will you where is your ubox. A lesson I learned after making two dozen calls and waited for weeks!

When making a reservation online, you may find the equipment requested ( in my case, two moving dollies) is actually unavailable with the truck rental. The staff was lacking in knowledge as to what equipment they had on site and were unable to provide any alternative plans to providing the equipment I had requested.Moreover, they are clearly noncompliant with the state mask mandate which testifies to lack of professional behavior, regardless of whatever personal politics they think they’re practicing. I witnessed several other unhappy customers in front of me clearly not getting the equipment they reserved and walking away empty handed.I would not recommend this location to anyone and only rented a truck here out of necessity.Do yourself a favor and rent from Penske at the Home Depot down the road.
Terrible way to run a business!I booked an appointment to have a hitch installed after two failed attempts at Havertown Uhaul. All three appointments had a similar story. I arrived and was told they were unable to install the hitch due to back order, no mechanic, delayed shipment.Why would Uhaul book the appointments if you have no inventory? Why have a customer drive 30-40 minutes if you have no mechanic on duty for that day/time?
Joe was such an incredible help that I decided to leave Public Storage chemical get a storage locker at U-Haul. I didnt like how Public Storage chemical raising the rent cuz thinking about leaving. After Joe went out of his way to find the perfect storage unit for me he also went above and beyond to help and assist me in other ways that I didnt expect. Explain to me everything I needed to know before I even had a chance to ask. He was knowledgeable, concise, relatable and positive attitude made the trying casket moving much more bearable. I will be recommending him and U-Haul is a company from now on. Thanks Joe!
Ordered and paid for a trailer hitch a month in advance, but not told until arriving for my appointment that it was not in stock. This is NOT my first similar experience with this location. Customer Service is not a priority here and proactive communication with customers is non-existent. I have no plans to give this business another chance to ruin another day for me and my family.
I did 36 miles, on a truck rated at 10mi/gal, refilled 4.079 gal, the line was at the same spot I got it and got charged a $57 EXTRA gas fee. Plus, I had until 10:45 am to return it, I returned it at 10:16 and got charged another 29.95.In summary, I GOT charged DOUBLE for no reason. Dont let them email you the receipt, STAY until they check the truck. Pictures attached.
I rented a trailer there in November 2020 and the person that was helping me to attach the trailer to my car refused to wear a mask! I was wearing a mask and I have a SUV where the hatch was open. I did not want him breathing into my car while attaching the trailer. My wife asked him politely to put his mask on that he had around his neck and he refused twice and said he did not have to wear a mask. U-HAUL...where is your customer orientation??? If a customer has a simple request like this you should treat the customer as if you value their business!!!!! I have since rented twice in other locations and wrote a complaint to corporate.

I rented the 22 foot truck. It broke down while i was backing the unit into my driveway. I was blocking my entire street. This location refused to help and insisted we call the roadside assistance. We followed instructions and was given a 2-3 hour wait time for a tow truck. After many attempts and recommendations to not attempt to jump the battery with my personal vehicle, i got the piece of junk with 200k miles started. I returned the truck and the owner acted clueless and was clearly disinterested and ignorant to my concerns with the truck.
I was charged for damage that never took place in August 2020. Ive been trying to contact the general manager at this location (Joseph) about the issues. Even though I was told he would contact me I never receive a call back. I have attempted to resolve this issue 5 different times experiencing many hours of hold time. Each time I connected with either the branch or general customer service I was told I was going to get a call back with no avail. The last attempt to have this situation addressed and resolved the general customer service representative escalated the issue to the regional president (Gerald Solarski) via customer service. I was told that on 10/13/2020 that I would receive a call from Gerald with 72hrs because Joseph was not being responsive. I never received the call from the regional president Gerald as well. What Im experiencing is clearly an example of a of organization that doesnt value customer service from the top down. I would ask the Uhaul management investigate the Philadelphia regional divisions difficulties is addressing customer needs and issue. Be careful. They will rip you off on gas charges. They put down an inaccurate gas reading (and a range at that) on the rental paperwork that is close, so not so much that youd complain. Then when you return it they read an amount on the high end. I drove (an 18 mpg van) 17 miles, put in 2 gallons and was still charged for another 1.3 gallons. Ill bet the next guys rental paperwork showed a start gas reading that was higher than when I returned it (rounded up to 3/4). Reading Franks review on their site the next day; sure looks like it. I got the same Youre good.Seems to be their standard practice. And the store manager did not care when I pointed out the discrepancy; she seemed to welcome my BBB complaint. Its a small amount, but its a rip-off.
Reserved a trailer for 6 hours paid ahead of time and they gave it to somebody else. They don’t wear masks either when you walk in.
U-haul is so bad lies lies lies go any where else
Very poor customer service. There are plenty of places to rent, so skip this one. Currently on hold for a total of 22 minutes. When I rented a van they set me up to drop it off at the wrong location. I was transfered to an extremely ignorant woman in scheduling who is now trying to tell me she cant change the location.(17 mins later) Update the woman disconnected while I was still on hold. Im now calling back on another number and have an expected wait time of over 20 mins.
If I had to pick a favorite U-Haul location it would be this one by far. I have used this location for years and have always been well taken care of. Brian and the staff there are kind, friendly and willing to help you out if they can. Unfortunately the system is not perfect and sometimes can be irritating to reserve online but this uhaul will do everything they can to get you the reservation or truck/trailer you need. The last time I dropped something off it was super easy and everyone was so helpful. Thanks again for everything, keep up the good work!
Convenient, easy to book, and good hours, but all kinds of hidden fees and charges. They advertise $20 a day. I drove 30 miles and they charge me $57 to fill up the gas tank (from what I used ). Rip off
Rented a motorcycle trailer, ordered it online, selected the 2nd package insurance to cover $10,000 to cover the value of my Harley god forbid if anything happen. ( LIKE I ALWYS DO ). Went inside to let them know i was here to get the trailer. Had help putting it on with no issues. My trip was going to be from horsham to croydon to get the motorcycle and back. (Thank god 2 blocks before arriving to put on my trailer) i hear a crash sound and see the trailer break off out of my passenger side mirror then the trailer comes to a stop. My hitch malfunctioned and the receiver came off the truck with the trailer still attached, causing the neck part of the trailer to break.I called U-haul roadside and sent them pictures, and told them what happen. They were very nice, set up tow and waited an hour and 30 minutes for tow. I was then told that there was no insurance on the reservation. No idea how the hell there all of a sudden isn’t insurance. They then tell me that i am still covered due to equipment malfunctioning and tell me where to go to get a new trailer in the area and to have the hitch looked at and replaced and that they were expecting me. ( was apparently supposed to be free of charge ). I Went to the recommended U-Haul dealer. They did not know about anything, got a new hitch installed after waiting and a trailer. I paid additional for a new trailer hitch and install. I called horsham and let them know of the incident. They claimed that they didn’t know but said thank you for notifying them.A few days later i am still being charged for the rental, it is showing that i never returned the trailer (WHEN IT WAS PICKED UP BY THERE OWN PEOPLE!) and i am basically getting emails that i stole the trailer so, i call and straighten that out. Afterward a few day’s later now i apparently have a $600 bill to replace the damage (when insurance was selected). I called u-haul very unhappy and the woman tells me that she spoke to Horshams manager and that i opted out of insurance. The lady goes on and says that i would have had to sign for it.... i never signed for anything. I always get insurance. never once has the manager reached out to me. This whole situation was a complete nightmare. Talked to many people on the phone all mixed answers. Complete circus, do not bother with this place. At the end of the day i am very happy my motorcycle wasn’t on the trailer when this took place. Legal actions are going to take place. It will cost U-Haul well more then what this is all worth.
Good team at this location. Very friendly and easy to deal with especially for truck rentals. This is also a great place to get boxes and other packing supplies.
I needed a van for a few hours, called uhaul and Brian picked up right away. Scheduling was easy and quick, checkout was a breeze and Brian was very friendly and helpful. While there were three other people in line, I was in my van 10 minutes after walking in the door. The price they advertise is the price you get. $19 for around town and .69 cents a mile. I believe this is a very reasonable price to rent a van for 4 hours, it was cheaper then the store wanted to charge for delivery.They gave me a brand new van with 5 miles on it, of course it ran perfect. Returned it a few hours later. Checkout was a very easy as well. Brian used a small hand help computer to review the mileage and complete the transaction.Would use this location anytime I needed a van to rent.
I gave them a 1 because this was not totally the fault of the store. I called to get some work done on my hitch. They said come over now. I dropped everything and went over to the store. They told me they couldnt work on it for 9 days. And would not even consider taking care of a 30 minute job. Customer service was terrible. Dont go to this location.
I would give them no stars if it were possible. I reserved an appliance dolly and truck on-line weeks ahead of time. Saturday morning we get there, wait in line and get to Brian (I believe) the manager, Mr no personality. He begins going through the reservation and then tells us he doesnt have the appliance dolly. We told him the only reason for reservation was to move a fridge so that was necessary for us to have. No apology, or acknowledgement of any kind... Just proceeds to ask for a credit card for the truck. Again, we told him we couldnt use the truck without the dolly. We ended up walking out without 1 apology, or anything to somewhat make up for our waste of time there... A call ahead of time would have been nice.

Amazing store!! Ive rented from UHaul many times but never in a state that I didnt live in, which was this shop in Horsham. I had a thousand questions and Malik (pronounced /Mah-leek) was calm, intelligent and professional. Gazillion extra points for handling us without a glitch when the entire reason we rented the truck fell though, ie., the store that had the table we bought last friday was now closed on this Sunday. Never. thought . of that. Malik was again calm and professional. I am super impressed. Well operated store.
I reserved a $39.95 26 box truck for 730am to take with me to an early morning appointment that i had scheduled less than a mile from the abington, pa u-haul location. I showed up to the u-haul location on time and was told that there were NO trucks available. I was then told that my only option was to drive 10 miles out of my way to the horsham, pa u-haul location. I get to the next u-haul and i am told that there is a 26 box truck, but that it would cost me $95. I was now running late for my scheduled appointment and accepted the more than double charge. Once i was out of the u-haul lot and heading towards my appointment, i realized that the engine light was on and that the air-conditioner was spewing out hot air. It was over 80 degrees that day and I was sweating like a pig. I arrived at my appointment 40mins late and drenched in sweat. Later in the day i needed to move the truck back a few feet. When i put the truck in reverse, the engine shut off. It did this every time that i tried to reverse. When i returned the truck 2 hours earlier than expected to the horsham, pa u-haul location, i told the counter person of my difficulties. She rolled her eyes and told me in slang-english Dats out of pocket. You should of been called roadside assistance. Aint nothin we can do. You owe us $188 for da truck. How would i rate my latest experience with U-Haul? It was piss-poor all the way around. I will not be recommending to friends, nor will i use U-Haul again in the future

Rented a trailer from the Horsham PA location for one days use. We couldnt safely use the trailer and had to return it because the faulty wiring harness blew the trailer tow lights fuse. This was confirmed by a ford tech next door to this uhaul. So we returned the trailer and the employees and manager tried to trouble shoot. But of course its not there equipment that is bad, its my trucks fault. When I first noticed the lights not working I took the trailer to the nearest location to me at the time in colmar pa. The employee there and an employee in Horsham both stated that the wiring harnesses wires were exposed and looked bad. So we left it there with the MANAGER at Horsham location and went about our business as we were already running very late. Within the hour we went back with our own trailer and removed everything from the faulty trailer. 2 days later we were charged for 2 days rental, not one. This isnt the first time theyve done this. Last time we were over charged by 300+ and it took them 2 weeks to refund that money. Once again we called the store twice in two days and left messages, but never were called back. We called the corporate number and they said they would refund our charge and reimburse us for the fuse we had to buy as a result of the trailers wiring harness. They also stated the district manager would contact us within 3 days. Instead, today I get a call from the stores assistant manager. She tells me she can not return the money for the day I could not use the trailer because it was store policy. She also tells me that she has to check with her employee that opened to see if he did his job by checking the lot. If he says he did his job she cant refund me for the second day that I claim to not have had the trailer. I am beyond insulted that that she implied that I was lying about not having the trailer. I asked her to check her cameras and she said she couldnt do that, someone else would have to do it and it would take a long time. Will clearly never be going back here. I just wonder how many people are paying for extra days because their employees are not doing their job. I am sure I am not the only one being overcharged!!
I called ahead to reserve a truck for my moving needs. I showed up Saturday morning (time I had reserved it over the phone) expecting to have a truck ready. They didnt. I felt that I made some mistake and went to a couple other U-Haul dealers on 611/ Easton Road. I also called other places in case I was mistaken. I called U-Hauls central office and they said I would, receive a call within one hour for a location to pick up my truck, but its usually ten to fifteen minutes. While my moving crew stood around waiting for resolve, I called an hour later to find out the situation. They told me to go BACK to Horsham and my truck would be there. I drove back to Horsham to find out that a truck would not be ready until 5:30pm later that day. Meanwhile there were a number of trucks parked around the facility. I called a Budget place who was able to help me out with my moving needs. I will not utilize U-Haul if Im in a situation where reliability is paramount.
Gave us a truck with a bad tire that blew when we drove it, charged us for the tire. Spoke to the manager who said he would call right back, never did. Filed complaint with corporate, said they would call back within 72 hours, never did. Have escalated my complaint. Bought the insurance, they said it covered the truck, never said it only covers PART of the truck. BUYER BEWARE!
Very reliable with equipment especially on short notice.
Poor service. Lack the ability to want to help you. I called ahead time. They said what I needed was available. Showed up. Then they started to clain it was resereved. Barely wanted to help find another place that had what I wanted. Save your money and aggrevation and go somewhere else.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This location called me on a Thursday to confirm that a UBox would be available on Saturday, as I had reserved it online. I moved out of Philadelphia, hired movers to pick up the UBox and bring it to my parents house. When the movers arrived at the location to pick up the UBox, they were told that there was no UBox there, and that it was at a warehouse and couldnt be picked up. Additionally, they were told that I was contacted and relayed this information, which was a complete lie.When I call UHaul customer service, the representative allegedly called the Horsham location and spoke with the GM, who told him the box was there and he didnt understand. By this time, the movers had gone and I was unable to pack the UBox and get it back to the location for shipment. This was COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE as my move is cross country and this has set me back days and a substantial amount of money. I am extremely disappointed and was genuinely appalled by the lack of organization and communication, as well as by the locations nerve to say that they spoke with me regarding the UBox. As a final failure, I couldnt get anyone from the location on the phone at all that day- kept getting overflow call center employees who couldnt help me. Unbelievably bad experience.
