My first time experiencing the market place and their food. The staff members in the restaurant were quite nice and helpful. I only give a 4 star, because I didnt have complete experience of entire establishment. But if the staff in the market are as nice and helpful as the restaurant. The restaurant has been renovated and now has a cozy theme. It so pretty in the night time and a perfect date night spot. So check it out. The store is also being renovated. They are making it bigger so they can be more variety to choose from. Defenity a place you should stop by.

Very disappointed. Paid 50 bux for 2 entrees, portions way too small for the price. My catfish pepper soup had exactly ONE piece of catfish; the chicken in the coconut rice was dry, hard, very overcooked and looked as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. No flavor. Will not be ordering here again.5/10/2021 RESPONSE TO OWNER REPLY: I ordered thru DoorDash so Im guessing your prices are higher on that app. I paid $16 for the catfish pepper soup and $19 for the Coconut Rice with Chicken, which is the picture I included of the dried up chicken and rice for this review. My pepper soup DID NOT have a large piece of catfish, let me assure you, or I would not have written this review for your attention. I also ordered a beef roll and a fish roll - so all of that plus tax is the $50 to which I am referring (I am not including delivery fee since you obviously have no control of that). I can post a picture of my receipt since you clearly think Im lying. I have no interest in your $20 credit for a future visit to try more horribly dry, too-small portioned food.

Very neat, efficient employees but prices a bit steep

I had never even heard of Wazobia, I was visiting family and stumbled upon it, it was surprisingly clean, bright and well organized.I was mostly impressed with the fact that there where no foul odors like many other African shops.I bought cooked jolof rice and chicken from the restaurant next door and it tasted horrible, so I will most likely never return there.The employees where friendly, courteous and professional.I also purchased a few beef meat pies and puff puff, which where delicious.

I experienced a very beautiful atmosphere, very prompt service and very good food, nice portions too. I enjoyed the food and service.

They have skin lighting creams by the front, The pre packaged food was a good idea, fresh produce and fish.

I have being to many African stores here in Houston and Dallas area, this store is highly exceptional. The staffs are well trained with good customer service. I bought Oha and Nsala soups, it was really good as back home. The prices in the store items are reasonable too. The store is very neat and dont have any offense smell as you can observe in other African stores.Men, you are missing out if you havent find time to be in Wazobia stores. Am definitely going back for sure. You guys should keep it up, your service quality and service delivery is classic and outstanding.

Ghetto..the restaurant side, the staff is rude. I didn’t know the name of the dish, and she refused to lift the lid so I could try to identify it. She just said, oh it’s not ready and just shrugged her shoulders. Arguing with other customers about their food..you Woolf think they would appreciate people wanting to enjoy the food of their culture..I won’t go back...I’ll take my money and business elsewhere.

We usually visit the store to buy goat meat and other condiments. They have a wide array of African items from dry goods to fresh produce especially the plantain. They carry plantain chips, malt drinks, pepper mix, semolina to name a few. They also have fresh produce and a variety of meat. Well organized with token system. The staff is friendly. I havent visited the attached restaurant yet. They accept cash payment as well.

Never order their Catered Fried Rice.I cater from them often for parties for parties and Ive never had a compliant as I am a very easy customer to please. However, last week I ordered their friend rice for the first time, by the time I took it out of the refrigerator the next day to dish it, the rice was slippery (basically spoilt). I called the restaurant immediately, and after several attempt to tell me it was not their fault, they finally called me back 2 days later to offer me a 50% refund for food I was not able to use for the party. Needless to say I was very upset and disappointed. At the end of the day it is more about principle of the matter, than the money it self. What does it cost the restaurant to give a customer their refund for a product that was damaged, especially from a regular customer whos never had a compliant.

I ordered there designer stew, it was filled with so much red oil it practically spoiled the entire meal I’m not satisfied at all. please reduce the amount of oil you add in the food it has potential to be good with less oil.

Disgusting place! I found hair in my food and the staff was incredibly rude. Food was revolting and tasted like it was made from a play dough cooking set. If i could rate it 0 stars i would. Disappointed because the floors are very dirty also. The staff is inconsiderate and smells like the back of a clothing rack in ross. Never again will i be going there. Lastly, too many pieces of gum were found under the table. These people have lack of fashion style dressed like a last minute shop during black friday. Absolutely horrible.

I love this restaurant and store. I always get superb service. But on this particular day, I was in to grab dinner for my husband. I knew what I wanted and told the lady behind the counter. As she was about to serve my order another guest entered the restaurant (I guess her friend) she completely went on engaging with said friend while I stood there for over 3 minutes, then forgot what my order was. During this time she also placed my order down and served said friend. I didnt mind the wait. But I think that was pretty rude. This isnt a normal occurrence however! Usually this restaurant has great fast efficient service! So I gave them 3 stars this time.

I like coming here to get the prepared food. The jollof rice and goat meat is very very very good. Plus, they try to open more checkout counters when they see a queue is forming. Kudos for that.

I came in today because my hubby loves Wazobia Kitchen. We cook our native Nigerian and Jamaican food at home but at times we want a delectable treat. We were not disappointed! Clap for yourself, good job!!

Great store. The management has really stepped things up and you see the difference in the cleanliness and overall flow of things. I wouldve given 5 stars but took off one because some of the girls at Wazobia kitchen are standoffish. Theyre super friendly to the older folk but virtually ignore you and act like youre bothering them if youre anyone else. Other than that, everything is good. Its my go-to African store. Definitely recommend.

Wazobia market and kitchen is an African supply store, where Africans purchase items peculiar to their local needs.It is within a shopping centre and has quite some supplies I could identify to Nigeria and Ghana among others.It has cooked versions of some Nigerian delicacies and pastry. Quite tasty and reminiscent of Nigeria.Its easy to identify from normal traffic and when inside, easy to shop as it is not a big store.If within the environs and crave some West African cuisines, this is a good shop to visit.

Ive been going to the restaurant and taking people there for a couple of years but in the last month, something changed. Service is no longer friendly and is sometimes downright rude. Taking me and my people elsewhere.

So I was fighting with 4 & 5 Stars... I had to give Wazobia a 5 all the way. Great customer service is what is going on in this place and I absolutely admire it! In fact, to be very honest I have never had this kind of experience elsewhere and I’ve lived in other places...My Mother In Law and I love to go to get snacks like meat pie and fish rolls etc. We had exceptional service!The food and the quality is on point! I will travel from the north side every time!

The store is clean, smells clean (no strong smell of fish/meat in the air), the produce and products are arranged and packaged well. They sell baked, fried and cooked meals and snacks which you can enjoy on the go. Their meat pie, fish pie and puff-puff is good. I always come to this store to buy Nigerian food.
