Moses is the best! We had to have several antiques furniture pieces restored due to the Texas freeze in February. The quality of work was exceptional. For example, this table looks like new. The company is very professional and went over and beyond to make sure we were happy with all pieces.

My mothers house flooded due to the freeze. She had 12 antiques that were damaged. Moses at Memories Antique Restoration came to her house to evaluate the damage. Some of the pieces he was able to repair the damage & clean up the piece. You can not even tell they were damaged & they look better than they ever have!!! Moses repaired & refinished the other pieces to their original quality & they look amazing!!! He took such great care in delivering the furniture & spent a lot of time placing them exactly where my mother wanted them in her home. I have 3 150 year old rockers that are very special to me since they have been passed generation to generation. We had them first redone 23 years ago. We worked with Moses of Memories Restoration. We could not be happier with the results. See the pictures below on the transformation. We completely redid them as they are a family heir lom.Moses redid the wood components. Stabilized them. He did the stain while making them structural solid. He redid the padding and and used 2 leathers skins we selected.The only fault and why not 5 stars has to do with certain delays. One from problems with the ceiling in his shop and the other was supply related. However he always focused on quality over speed as we wanted.

A 19th-century oak table was damaged in my move to Houston. Memories Antique Restoration was able to quickly repair it, and the seams are hardly noticeable! It cost a bit more than wed hoped (and more than was quoted from photos), but were happy with the results. The process was also super easy -- they picked up and delivered the table, included in the price.Before and after photos included.

I wanted to have an antique table refinished and stained to match some chairs. My table was in bad shape. It was chipped and had pieces of wood that were splintered on the top. I brought a Lane cedar chest that had sat in water during Hurricane Katrina and the feet were in bad shape. Moses fixed them and refinished the cedar chest beautifully. I also brought a small table that had the veneer peeling off. He fixed that and stripped off the paint and refinished it. It also looks wonderful.

I took an old Lane cedar chest to them for restoring. The inside was fine, but the veneer was peeling, paint was faded and it needed a new base. They had it about a month, but I wasn’t in a hurry for it so that was fine. They built a nice base that complimented the design. They replaced the veneer on top and stripped the old paint and put a lovely wood stain on it. I’m very happy with the result and highly recommend them.

My antique English table and chairs didn’t look this good when I bought it 36 years ago.My friend at Star Furniture, Jeanne Upton, told me about this outstanding refinishing shop and I am thrilled with the job they did on my table and chairs.They are beautiful! Also the chairs were reupholstered in a new fabric and extra padding was added to make them more comfortable. That workmanship was excellent as well.Great to have both refinishing and reupholstering done in one place.Moyses set an appointment to come to our home for pickup and then for delivery and he was right on time.It is evident that he takes great pride in doing an excellent job. So awesome to have a craftsman that I can confidently refer to my friends and family. They know my standards are high and that they can trust my recommendations.So rewarding to see a treasured set so improved.

Moses and his team did an INCREDIBLE job on my grandmother’s approx. 100 year old secretary. I recently inherited the piece after my father passed away and it needed so much TLC. I was extremely wary to let it out of my possession because I have such incredible memories tied to it and I would have been absolutely destroyed if anything bad happened to it. I found Memories Antique Restoration through several neighbors who had used this company and were very pleased. He came out to give me a quote and picked up the furniture. He refinished my 25 year old kitchen table, an antique cedar chest and a buffet top that had been ruined due to heat from a candle. A month later and everything is done. Mr. Garcia is truly gifted in the art of furniture restoration. He brought back to life 11 pieces of furniture for us. These pieces were destroyed in the Tax Day Flood last year. He made them look like new. You can tell he takes great pride in his work. The beauty of his work speaks volumes.

Moses does good work. He has brought back wooden chairs to life for me, made picture frames and cover leather sofas. One of the best in Houston.

Awesome work! Had two wingback chairs recovered that were in worse shape than I thought. Did wonderful job on repair as well as the upholstery. They also did a wonderful job on my great grandmothers rocking chair. Some of the wood had water damage and they restored the wood and replaced the fabric making it look brand new. Highly recommend! Very fair prices that are competitive with the market.

We just got back about 20 pieces of furniture that were damaged in hurricane Harvey. We are so pleased with the work that Moses and his team did!They repaired, rebuilt, cleaned, restained and even refinished an entire antique bedroom suit. And it turned out beautifully!! Moses takes a lot of pride in his work and that makes a huge difference. AND he told us when it would be ready and actually had it ready at that time!!!

Very happy with their restoration work. I was referred to them by an acquaintance. I had them repair the top of a wood night stand and they did a beautiful job. After I saw the quality of the work, I gave them a Maitland -Smith chinoiserie chest to repair the top and they did a beautiful job on that as well. They picked up and returned the pieces and his turn around was within 2 weeks. I highly recommend them.

Not exactly experts. Came out to inspect the 2 desks and gave us a quote. One desk has a return that was obvious. Quote for $450 if we deliveredthe desk which we did. Upon delivery to the shop the owner says he didnt notice the return and charged another $200. Dont know how he missed it as he is supposed to be the expert. We agreed thinking the desk would look good. Well, surprise. Work is very amateurish. Splintered edges poorly done. I did better on a desk at home.

Wow I was just about to write a review on this particular place and someone before me took the words right out my mouth. The gentleman that helped me also I believe was the owner he did the same thing to me. Told me something minor was wrong with my sofa the very next day the bill was over a 1k no clear explanation, however not being an expert and trusting them to know what they were doing, I agreed. They promised to have it ready by next day and I even called to make sure it was ready to be picked up, I believe it was another Salvadorian man who answer the phone and with his not so very good English said it was ready. I went to pick it up and nope, not ready, in fact the sofa was taken apart and was in pieces, the owner was nowhere in sight and no one could tell me what was going on. Because I wanted to make sure it was fix correctly I gave him more time. I called the next day and they assure me a couple of days and it would be ready. Two days later my sofa was ready. I took it home and as soon as on it the cushion sunk. I called them and instead of getting a friendly let me help you after I paid over $1,500 of unknown repairs, I got yelled at, cursed at and threatened. I honestly thought I was the only one but obviously they do that to all their customers. I took my sofa to another shop and they fixed it for less than $500 and told everything that memories antique restoration was wrong. I feel sorry for anyone that takes their furniture’s there. Like the person before me I think maybe they use family members like: Leydeen Medrano and employees to write reviews because there is no way we are the only ones they have done this to..
