By far the most interesting oddities shop i’ve been fortunate enough to experience. When in Huston this was my #1 on the “things to do” list and it did not disappoint.It’s a shame what happened with the fire as many of the shops attractions were priceless and one of a kind. I feel lucky to have experienced the shop while it was in its original state. However I am looking forward to seeing what the rebuild has to offer.“Something Wicked” is my go to scent and I purchased it from The Wilde Collection- Love your friendly Manitoban.

The store is by far too 5 for antiques and oddities! The experience was very awesome a little girl befriended my children an showed them around which started off my experience amazingly! The store staff gave my kids suckers an free shark teeth. I will be going back so many things that I need to re examine so much to look at. Overall very very cool experience!!!

This place has a mystical and macabre feel to it that delights the senses and tickles the fancy. I was reading an article about off the path and odd spot in Houston. That is how I came across this most delightful place. I come every one to two years to visit my best friend and her family. While she works I go out and explore the places that are not the run of the mill; the odd, the ugly yet beautiful. This place encapsulates all the aforementioned. If some place really piques my interest I bring my friend to explore with me.I will certainly be dragging her happy rear end in to visit again in the next week or so. I barely managed to walk out without half the store. I left with two pieced that made me very happy. The people in the store are very fiend-ly I mean friendly. They were able to assist me and made me feel very welcomeThe TSA is going to be scratching their heads when they examine my bags before I get on my flight.(Unfortunately the storefront was attacked by a person who severely burned and damaged the storefront. I hope at one time sooner rather than later they reopen their store.)

This establishment has the raddest collection of vintage medical equipment, bones, preserved insects, brass, seashells, and so much more! Their taxidermy is exquisite. My daughter loved seeing the Anti-Clause and his evil elf!

This place is really unique and fun. There was a super sweet black woman whose name I forgot to get, but she was so nice, educated, and helpful!

Neat store with many amazing cool oddities for sale or for viewing. There are a couple real human skeletons, taxidermied animals, jewelry, stones, drums, sage, etc. Funny, nice employees. Great time!

What a spectacular place. Its like walking into a vintage haunted house and everything is for sale. Friendly staff and a broad range of surprisingly affordable spooky knick knacks. A must see in Houston, and probably Texas as a whole. I spent 1.5 hours just looking around and picked up a few gifts.

This is advertised a eclectic collection of oddities and curiosities. Living peacocks taxidermy human skeletons. Cow and sheep eyes. Various other organs in bottles in an alcohol solution. Furniture with a Victorian bent. The owners are friendly and helpful aample parking. Con isn’t heights location. Even if taxidermy isn’t your thing browsing the collection and the ouija board T shirt is worth the trip. Conversation pieces waiting for the taking. Icons from all religions respectfully presented All on the dark side. Unlike any place in this city.

This store is absolutely brilliant, and I wouldnt be surprised if he (the owner) was a genius. Seriously... Genius.

This is the most amazing unusual shop ever. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. This is the perfect place to shop for the person that has everything. There are so many interesting items for sale here and most of them have an interesting story attached to them.

This is a fabulously brilliant and creepy collection that just might uncover some of your hidden fears. Or it may have you throwing down some money for their unique pieces of jewelry or trinkets. Visiting The Wilde Collection is much like a museum type experience with items that are oddly beautiful to items with a creep factor times 1000. I love every bit and piece of this place. Just strange.dark.beautiful.thought provoking.chill invoking. Wonderful. At times, your eyes and mind dont know what to focus on...the black unicorn head or the voodoo shrine behind it. Taxidermy. Insects. Pieces of haunted history. At the very back, theres a place to write a fear you have on a piece of paper and leave it with a spooky looking caged being...i left my fear on a nail, and I cant help but to wonder if my fear will be safe there. I love that this place is part of Houston. I always recommend TheWildeCollection for a breath of creepy air.

This store is the epitome of strange and unusual things, and boy was it fascinating! The man (who Im assuming also owns the place) was more than friendly and willing to answer any question you mightve had about the oddities. There is a peacock sanctuary also located in the yard. I dont know of any other oddity stores in Houston, but theyll be hard-pressed to come anywhere close to compete with the Wilde Collection!

So much to see! They have a great array of jewelry, and interesting trinkets. Where they shine, tho, is in original goth art, historical medical instruments, bones (animal & human) and taxidermy. Fantastic design inside, cozy, and lush... but tight aisles, so you have to check your bags, and its not wheelchair friendly down every aisle. They have peacocks and other birds outside... neat! They burn incense, so be aware if that bothers you.

It’s sad to see what happened to this place. Hope they are able to rebuild.

The Wilde Collection is the perfect blend of creepy and interesting. My friend took me there thinking it was about Oscar Wilde lol. If taxidermy freaks you out I would stay away as this place is crawling with it. Prices for their artifacts are actually reasonably priced. I was just curious as to the small peacock sanctuary they had.

I went with very mixed feelings but was extremely surprised at how reasonable prices were and how friendly everyone was! I loved the atmosphere too. I was thinking that i wouldnt buy anything because everything would be priced too high but i found some nice trinkets and was shocked to find my favorite sandalwood rope incense there. The collection is unique and has some really interesting art pieces scattered around the shop. I went two days in a row just trying to get a good look at everything and still feel that i may have missed some things.I will definitely be back to buy presents for friends and im excited to bring friends here!

Still in AWE of this place. Totally not what I expected!!! As I walked in I was surprised by the animal with glass human eyes 😆😆 lol. So much to see and just WOW. Need to come back on my next Houston trip. There was a cool vampire worker there with an epic mustache! This place has it all and will leave you speachless!

This place is a haven for the spooky at heart. Everything is beautifully curated and the attention to detail is phenominal. A must see for the stout hearted.

My cousin and I spent two glorious hours in the exquisite little shop trying figure out what epic things we should buy. Friendly staff and owners. The next time Im in Houston Ill be sure to stop in!

This store was simply amazing. Fantastic works of art, unique items, crazy cool taxidermy. You could tell the owners are really kind, cool and talented individuals. It is incredibly awful that it got attacked by an arsonist. Im hoping to see it rise again as it was a local gem.

They are highly rated for a reason. This is such a neat little place! I loved every bit of it and will definitely be back. The staff was super knowledgeable, polite, and did not bother anyone unless they wanted to be bothered. Every oddity, taxidermy, and piece of jewelry was such a treat to see. The prices aren’t bad at all, and their shirt designs are dope af. The only thing I didn’t like was the parking, but there’s only so much you can do in that area. Definitely check this place out with your friends!

I absolutely love this place. I could spend a lot of time and money happily. The krumpis is badass. He was great. They both were. I definitely recommend anybody who is interested in the oddities to go check it out.

Occult shop work some very excellent taxidermy

This was a beautiful shop. I drove from three hours away just to take a look and absolutely was not disappointed. They have a very wide variety of items that fit into every collection of occult or taxidermy items. Oddities and curiosities abound, but the selection is divine. The owners were helpful and very fun to speak with. Will be back.

Crazy, weird, and completely off the wall interesting stuff in this store for any season and all seasons. Love it! Great people working there, very helpful. Only complaint I have is the place is a tiny bit pricey. So worth it though! Make sure to drop in at Christmas time because they really go all out.

Just cause everyone always wonders, its a shop that is also like a museum. You can buy pretty much anything that is on display. Lots of exotic taxidermy like lions and giraffe necks even. Kinda creepy, but cool if your into the darker stuff. Dont forget to ask about the keys to a viewing box for a weird little surprise display.

This was a beautiful shop full of a plethora of one of a kind artifacts. Stopped by only to discover that it tragically been set on fire in the middle of the day (while customers were inside) by a crazed individual claiming that god told him to burn it down. Sadly the owners lost two front rooms and more importantly some of their beloved animals perished.Hope to visit again when it has been restored. Peace, love, and light to the owners

This place is really awesome. Dark and macabre, neat things to look at, really cool oddities. No one spoke to me while I side. I had heard about a secret safe to ask for the keys to see what was inside. I never asked, as it got pretty crowded inside the small area. I will go back, not for the customer service, but to look at all that is there. I believe it will take a few visits to actually get to see everything that is in here. There are peacocks here, a couple albino ones too. Truly a site to see.

Awesome Houston treasure, not to be missed. Perfect for finding gifts for someone you might know with a slightly peaked curiosity about subjects normally not made for small talk. Items vary from taxidermy animals to jars of wet specimens. Even if you dont find anything to buy, the gentleman that calls himself Lawyer, dresses so for the part he seems to be a part of the decor

This place was filled with eccentric odds & ends from furniture to occult trappings, plus several antique curiosities & unique jewelry. And the owners were only too happy to chat about the various pieces in their collection. Unfortunately some religious kook took offense at something in the store & burned it

This place was extremely eccentric and I loved it! Hands down the largest collection of macabre and off-the-wall odds and ends that Ive personally seen. Definitely a must-visit if youre into dark and strange things. The owner is extremely nice and friendly and gladly shares information about his shop to those who come visit. Go check it out!

Bizarre. Odd. Macabre. Art. Above all - VERY interesting. This shop, stuffed with stuff, has a little bit of everything for everybody. And perhaps a lot of things for somebody. Its kinda like walking through a freaky museum. I studied the stuff in a room, turned around and saw something Id missed. I loved it. The owner (Lawyer) is friendly, fun, eccentric.

Marvelous little oddity shop which never fails to deliver the goods when it comes to the macabre. Taxidermy, relics, medical tools and specimens and so much more! Great spot for gift shopping or for home decor. Staff is helpful and courteous. The exotic bird collection is a sight worth checking out.

Coming here is always the most fantastic adventure and I love when I get to take someone to the Wilde Collection for the very first time, as its one of the few places I can feel remotely knowledgeable with the things Ive seen (only because I visit so often). The physical property is also extremely convenient when it comes to the delicious food options in that part of the Heights, which makes it the perfect destination for a brunch/lunch trip. This Collection is truly one of a kind and everyone should have the privilege of exploring it at least once in their life! Its an essential part of the beautiful weirdness of Houston.

Update: So sad to hear this beautiful place was tragically burned down. The collections were hauntingly beautiful and Im sure greatly valued as they were so well taken care of. The owners response to my previous review was also very enlightening and educating. I wish them all the best.Pretty creepy interesting stuff but narrow walkable path so if you are on a wheelchair I think you are SOL unfortunately. A bit sad to see the animals (birds) kept captive in such a small space, but I hope they are getting good care there.They do not allow bags and purses so they will keep it for you at the front desk and if I recall correctly they will give you a little slip or number to trade back for your bag.If youre into dark or Gothic stuff I think you will like it here. There are some real skeletons and/or body parts. Lots of satanic art, and creepy crawlies like LIVING cockroaches on display.

An extraordinary cabinet of curiosities. Deliciously Goth and occult to the bone. Reasonable prices and excellent staff. A beautiful spectacle for all to behold.

Interesting store to say the least. Everything is definitely unique. This really isn’t a store for small kids. I can imagine it could be a bit scary for them. Not to mention all the fragile items in the store. I highly recommend visiting at least once.

The Wilde Collection was an absolute delight! We saw the store while driving past and decided to make a u-turn and stop in. We are beyond glad we did! Spent five hours exploring the shop and chatting with the employees. Some of the sweetest and most interesting people you could ever meet! Lawyer, one of the owners, is the most down to earth and talented person. He has made several pieces in the store and would love to tell you all about them. One of the best stores we have been to in a long time. We will definitely spread the word about this place and will absolutely return in the near future. Thanks for a one of a kind experience.

Great place to spend an afternoon

Fun visit. Definitely worth dropping in. The only issue I have is that they are pretty scant on actual oddities. Their focus is really on locally made art and gifts. Cool stuff, but not a true oddities shop. Having said that, their specimen cabinet is a highpoint. They also have some interesting taxidermy.

Super fun place. PACKED wall to wall with all manner of oddities and curiosities. Walked through each room several times seeing new things on each visit. Almost more like a museum than a store. My kids loved it!

Some places try to be what The Wilde Collection is. Its an absolute gem and the place is full to the ceiling with the strangest and darkest things one will encounter for a long time and yet the place still feels warm and welcoming. Even with the soft weeping in the background, the ambiance is great. I think the wonderful and curious items, thoughtfully placed and arranged have a lot to do with this but its mostly how incredible the shopkeeps are. They had warm cookies out under the flying monkey for Christs sake!Dont worry about spending here, everything is very fairly priced. Cant wait to visit again.

My roommate took me here a few months ago, and I think about coming back all the time. This boutique sells the most unique Gothic artwork and decor Ive ever seen. The space is has a lived-in homey vibe, which makes you feel like youre walking around inside the house of some witch-doctor. Everything on sale looks and feels passed down through generations, adding to the creepy mystique of owning it yourself.

Absolutely the best creepiest place ever!! And almost everything is for sale. Need a taxidermied giraffe head? $6000, Check. Need embalming tools and scale? Check. Pickled bugs? Tons of everything creepy. And white peafowl are for viewing in their outdoor pen.You can buy sage, jewelry and t-shirts.Weve been twice and spent hours wandering. Not a big place but tons to see. Great place to have fun, get shocked and entertain your out of town guests.You can enjoy a free coffee, tea or pop.Great photo ops. Best kept secret in Houston.

They have varied Taxidermy collection. Many items for sale. They have a collection from a medical school. They have live Peacocks who are very active and happy. Everytime I have visited and watched thru the window they were walking around and speaking to each other as only peacocks will do. There are some live hissing roaches and a snake in cages on display. They are well taken care of. Beautiful. They have jewelry. Occult items. When you see the Hearse parked out front be aware there may be some items you might find shocking. The employees are very nice. They have pleasant music. Very well done. Halloween is coming up this would be a great place to visit.

So much to look at! You definitely have to visit more than once to see and process all the cool stuff! From taxidermy to old coffee tables to kkk member lists... To roaming peacocks outside. Almost all of it is for sale! You can also sell them stuff too, if ya think its odd enough ;)

Im vegan so I find the practice of taxidermy horrible. But judging it for what it is, if you are able to get past the fact that people kill animals because they think theyre beautiful. And would rather display their stuffed dead corpes rather allow the animal to live out its life, as we as humans all want for ourselves. Then this store is something to experience. I purchased the one living thing there(besides the poor caged birds outside) the resurrection plant

Coolest shop in Houston...Eye even have family that made a special trip to come.. always passing out cards for people to experience such an awesome shop. Absolutely hands down, coolest spot in Houston!!!!! The staff is totally cool and you have to go TO KNOW just how AHHHHHMAZING THIS PLACE IS!!!

Not what I expected. I was told it was a spirit shop with creepy voodoo trinkets and such but visiting it felt more like a museum out of someones house. Really an interesting collection of items. If you have any interest in the biology and taxidermy, this place is definitely worth a visit.
