I really wanted to like their services, but I cant give them a good review. I ordered decomposed granite, mulch and sod from them. They convinced me to allow them to do the install. This was before Thanksgiving. Since then, they ran out of supplies 3 times and stopped and started the job. They left materials on my grass and killed it, they did replace it. Blocked me in my garage for a week with a pile of landscaping materials. Luckily I am working remotely so I didnt need to leave. They keep apologizing so I a was being patient, but the final straw was this week. When they delivered the last bit of granite they said that due to the ran they could not compact it. The guy said he would come back. He never did! The granite managed to leak under the edging material that they installed and run out exposing the black lining. I reached out to them to tell them to come back and fix this mess and they said they would but wanted more money first!?!? Why should I have to pay when the guy didnt complete the job and promised to come back to finish it. All I want is for the job to be completed and for my yard to look nice. I have been waiting for them to finish it since Sept 2020 and now it is Jan 22, 2021. 5 Months to do a job they promised to finish in 1 week.I think you need to review the emails and speak to your team. Your people did kill my grass with YOUR material left on the grass while you waiting weeks for new supplies to arrive. You left large rolls of weed liner. Your people did block me in my driveway, I have pictures and texts to prove it. Also, they were supposed to remove the sod and haul it away and they left that in my driveway for weeks, which made huge muddy mess. Your people ran out of supplies 3 times and it has taken almost a half year to finish the job. You have my number, feel free to call me and I will be happy to send you pictures of everything. I kept detailed records including emails, texts and photos. They left the edging off for months and that is why there was erosion. Then he finally came back to finish the edging and he did not compact it and also left a gap in it so that it continued to erode. You are supposed to be the expert. I was told you would make my yard look good and I can tell you that you failed. If an alternative way needed to be taken to prevent erosion, that should have been explained to me.

Bailed day of delivery.Edit** My mother in law was the one who ordered it to my house for yesterday.. Yall never showed and claimed to have called the wrong number the day before.. yall did refund our order after we called in but we wont be using yall again..

Avoid this place all costs! The man running the front office is completely inept and pretty much useless in every single aspect of his role. I used this company for my personal residence and received horrible service. I vowed to never use their services again, but after a phone call from the owner of the business I decided to give them another try. Wrong choice.I placed an order with the owner last week for a delivery today. After hours of waiting at my investment property the morning of the scheduled delivery date, I decided to call them for an update. I was subsequently told (in the most unprofessional way possible) that they were backed up and werent going to deliver my materials until a later date. Not only was there a casual get over it tone to his delivery, when I inquired about a refund, he basically said theyre keeping my money as the person who processes refunds wont be in the office until next week. So they took my money, didnt deliver the product and wont refund me.As the owner of a real estate investment company, I use services like these often. Ive never run into a more unprofessional vendor of this size. This situation will be escalated, I just wanted to warn anyone even considering using this company to stay away. Maybe when the owner sees how negatively the front desk guy is affecting his business things will improve.

Poor customer service. I was told by two different employees that a date for a pea gravel installation was available. Champion Landscape took measurements at my house, and ensured that quote would be provided timely in order to meet my deadline. I had to make multiple follow ups for the quote (never received it) when I got a response back I was told the date was unavailable. If Champion Landscape Supplies was upfront about the project; alternative arrangements could have been made.

We have used this company since we moved here in 2015. Never have had a reason to complain. They have been kind, courteous and the prices are great. They never skimp on the scoops either. In the past working with other companies I have seen where that company made sure it was not a heaping scoop. There is a lot to be said when you are getting great service. Yulissa took my order and the manager made sure it was delivered on time. Everyone is very nice and helpful.

BUYERS BEWARE! IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! i spoke to a representative 04/30, we were on the phone for over an hour confirming my order and the items in it. I was contacted 05/03 and was told that the flagged stone I ordered was not actually in stock. Then the representative said they will send me an email of what they actually do have. I received no email that day. I called Tuesday. i called again Wednesday. I called again Thursday, and thats when i finally received the email of the TWO options they gave me. Picking one of the options and then telling me there would be an $100 difference, and the other option would be the same difference. Then i was told the sand and flag stone will both be delivered on friday 05/07. One truck came and delivered the sand, Said they could not deliver it to the back and left it in the middle of the driveway. I get a second call hours later saying the truck was stuck in traffic with the flagstone and they wont deliver it until the next day. I told them I had contractors coming early saturday to begin work and this was unacceptable. I was met w3ith I dont know what to tell you. So now my contractors had to move the job to Monday 05/10. And again they delivered the stone in the middle of the driveway. The contractors get here monday to start and the flagstone was much bigger in height than what i originally asked for. I called the company to get this exchange since the contractor will not be able to level them. The company said basically I am stuck. So I am out $500+ because of this company. Not even accredited by the BBB. DO NOT GO HERE ! AND TO CLARIFY THIS HAPPENED TO MY MOTHER! AN ELDERLY WOMAN TO MAKE THINGS WORSE!

Ordered 25 yds of kiddie mulch. When they arrived, it was delivered in a truck that only holds 15 yds. I told them they shorted me a lot of mulch. I showed him the math that there was no way there was 25 yds of kiddie much in that truck. They refused to make it right. Even talked to the rude owner. Nope... I got ripped off. Paid for 25 yds and only got 15 yds. Dont buy from this place! They are not honest!

Amazing! The mulch was of great quality and they also delivered a yard of rocks for me. Unfortunately there was a huge rain storm when they came out so some of the materials mixed together. Champion Landscape & Supplies was selected to install new compacted crushed granite and perform site work in our community. Richard met on-site and walked through the entire process with the assurance that the finished material would be compacted and controlled so as to prevent washout. We also reviewed the need to maintain the drainage slope.The workmanship was very poor and the first rain we had resulted in much of the granite washing away. The drainage slope was also compromised by the workers in some areas resulting in water now pooling when it rains creating a real mess.Richard has been contacted several times since this, with details and photos supplied, asking for the items to be corrected. No reply. This is terrible customer service!If these items are corrected, I will edit this review with an update. Otherwise, just know what you are getting into.

I highly recommend NOT using Champion Landscape. It is worth your money to take your business somewhere else. I recently spent $3,000 getting new grass/soil and a pathway filled with rocks in my backyard. I wanted the old dried up dirt, rocks, weeds, roots removed before installation - which was included in my estimate. The workers did not want to do the work - I had to go outside multiple times to talk to them and finally talk to the manager (who did not sound happy to help me - calmed his workers were doing what they needed to do). They eventually got most, not all roots and weeds, but barely removed old dirt. My backyard grass is way too high (grass is even with the deck) and slopes towards my house as a result of not removing and evening out what was previously there. The workers were rushing through the work and could have done a better and more efficient job. As for the rocks, my garage has flooded twice as a result how it was installed. I had to call for weeks to have someone come fix it. The manager wouldnt even talk to me, the lady at the front desk kept telling me he was not in the office - and I called for weeks, sometimes twice a day. I couldnt tell you how many times I actually had to call before I could talk to someone, eventually someone finally came to check it out a month later. They had the audacity to send me an estimate for the work that had to be done to fix the flooding problem - which was caused by too many rocks (couldnt even open the back door) and a tarp under the rocks, which didnt allow water to drain. And then getting someone out there to come actually fix the problem is a different story, the guy kept telling me all the workers were busy for the next couple weeks. It just sounded like they did not want to come fix it and was trying to ignore me. Someone eventually came, not to actually fix the rocks and remove the tarp as I have asked, but to take the border lining the rocks to make the water drain off. Which was then placed (the long borders) on my new grass, not even taken away - just thrown on the side of my yard. I am very unhappy with this work and the way the company treats its customers. This company is unprofessional and does not put the clients wants first - they just want to get paid while doing minimal work. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

People actually know whats in their dirt. Ive used them for the original dirt for my garden and my fall composting. Tons of tomatoes without blossom end rot from the soil alone. Quality stuff.

I should have read the reviews!!!! I placed my order for bank sand and was told they will deliver by 9am. The next day I received no call no show. I called at 11am and was told we don’t give times for delivery!!!!! So when asked when they will deliver the sand; she tells me the truck broke down!!! Just as the reviews stated!!! I will never use the company again and would advise others to steer clear!!

Have never left a review before but feel then need to after I ordered kiddie mulch and had issues with delivery that then led me to read the reviews and found that other people had the same experience and was given the exact same excuses. I ordered 35 yards on a Monday with a delivery for Thursday from 9 to noon. I called that morning because I had to run an errand and did not want to if they were on their way. Nope told that now my delivery would not happen until 12:30. Irritated I let it go and was expecting 12:30. So around 11:50 I called back to ask if the delivery had left. She put me on hold for a while came back to inform me that the truck had broke down. (If you read the reviews you will find this is a common excuse). I was told they would have it fixed in about 20 minutes but would send out another truck. Called back at 12:55 and still nothing. I informed her that I had workers that I was having to pay at the house waiting on this mulch. Absolutely NO COMMUNICATION I might add. I spoke to a manager who could care less and just told me that their truck breaks down and its not his fault. That they get picked on by the police all the time and have their trucks pulled over and shut down with violations. This makes me realize that this place obviously has issues. I was then told my mulch would be here at 2:00. Nope at 2 the driver called and informed me he was just leaving. Just so happens to be the same broken down truck. He was able to drive it back to the shop for a part? Hmmm. Okay. Shows up at 2:45 with half. Finally had all my mulch close to 5:00. I have ordered a lot of mulch and rock over the last 14 years on our 6 acres and have NEVER had anything like this happen. Typically order from Katy stone and gravel and Living Earth and never this. First and last time I will ever order from this company. No communication and no customer service. I typically take reviews with a grain of salt. Trust the reviews on this company for sure.

Terrible business!!! I ordered 2 yards of masonry sand. Waited over 24 hours to receive my order. Paid in full. 2 hours after i was told sand would be here. I called was told truck would be on its way and at my house within an hour. 20 minutes later i get a call that they do not have any masonry sand left. That it will be another day or to for my order. I am beyond angry. Im payingnpeople to do work at my house and they are on the clock with no sand in sight.

Needed marble rock for our backyard project. Searched everywhere, and finally found it at Champion Landscape Supply. Very happy with the delivery and the guys who spread it around where i wanted it to go. Am new to this side of town and will probably get more stuff from here.

Placed an order for kiddie mulch and I loved the friendliness of the person who took my order but we are well in 12 pm when it was due to be delivered at 9am. I had to call twice and I always get the same excuse that it is in route, they also let me know it was due to a problem they had with their truck BUT you would think they could call and let the person know. We are a business like them and have employees to pay and can’t afford to have them wasting time waiting for champion to show up . This was an over all bad experience it would of made it Better if they ACTUALLY CARED TO FIX THE ISSUE a discount or something for the lost time and now angry management company we have to deal with. Great prices on material but way to high on delivery, horrible communication and service 👎🏽UPDATE: We canceled our delivery after RICHARD said they would be there in 15-20 and after 20 min the driver calls and says it will be another 30!!!!!!!!! Just insane I called and canceled my order and was told I was going to get charged the $100 delivery fee !!!!!!!!! I obviously went left and was transferred twice until Richard once again came on the line I told him the issue he said I’ll refund 100% and just hangs up ! Not a bye not a thank you not even an I’m sorry for the trouble !! THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE .. never again

I called in to order some soil for my flowerbeds. They have a wide variety of soils and composts to choose from. The receptionist helped me to choose which one would be best for me. I ended up buying 2 kinds of soil. I even bought some red cedar mulch. My yard is looking superb!

Made my wifes honey do list just disappear!! She gave it to me I gave it to them.. wow seriously these guys know what they are doing the grass is beautiful looks like a million bucks but dont cost a million.. ery reasonable and professional...Ill call them everytime for sure

I called them to spread mulch and top dressing on our front lawn. I wanted a 1/2 inch of top dressing, but they suggested 3. I told them to do 1. When the work was performed, they put way too much soil - so our lawn is ruined. They came out to fix it but it was too little too late. Richard promised that they would make it right and replace the grass, but he has been avoiding my calls and texts. I would strongly urge everyone to consider using a company that stands by its work.

I called Champion to do some work at my house since my co-worker referred them to me. I was totally overwhelmed that my grass would not grow due to all the shade areas in my lawn. The guys at Champion sent Doug out to see me, he explained about the need for shade loving turf and that’s what we agreed upon plus some mulch. The guys came out, fixed all the ruts in my ground and laid the new sod in place and mulched my flowerbeds. I look out the back window now with a smile on my face. Thanks Champion!

Needed gravel put in the front and to take the grass and replant it in the back. The price was neither the lowest or the highest. One person showed up with a kid. The machine to rip out the grass was not working. So the grass in the back looked horrible. He did not dig enough to make it a little level with the rest of the lawn. The edging was not straight and warped after 1 week. The area with the gravel was not leveled and has big bumps. We have gone back and redone part of it. The only reason I give two stars vs. one is that they misjudged the amount of gravel needed and provided that free of charge.

Promise fast delivery but I was put on the schedule for a week later, given a 4 hour window (8-12) then they no showed. Their delivery price was a bit high too. rescheduled the work around their slow delivery and lost a half a day waiting around. When I called, I was told the order would be delivered after 3:00. That leaves me no time to get the soil in today with heavy rain forecast overnight. No one called to tell me about the miss. Of course they charged my card right away, even through they couldnt deliver for a week. Sales woman on the phone was a bit short and not apologetic for their poor performance. Clearly they dont need my business. My recommendation is to call someone other than this business.

Very happy with Sydney and the installation crew. We recently built a pool and needed to install a lot of new grass in our backyard. There were some delays due to weather and truck breakdown but Sydney kept me informed. I did not like the delays but appreciated being informed. The installation crew was excellent ! They patiently listened to where I wanted the grass installed (we had a mix of the palmeto and normal St.Augustine grass). The crew even cut the grass and installed it around the flagstone stepping stones ! I was left with about half a palette of grass and instead of simply putting it in the areas where the grass would not grow and waste my money, they suggested that I talk to Sydney and ask for a refund on the grass and the labor. I talked to Sydney and she promptly adjusted the overall bill and even called me to explain the bill before charging my card. Very happy customer !

My go to place every year for mulch for my flower beds. Sems they keep adding more blends of mulch each year. Just called up, placed my order, and had it delivered 3 days later. They make it easy for you.

They did exactly what they said they would do.I called from work to order some gravel for a weekend project, and got quoted on the phone for cost plus tax and delivery. Pretty much matched their online pricing, so no worries about that (delivery is $35). I asked if the delivery could be made on the right side of the driveway, and also to call before they arrived, which the lady said they would do, and also gave me a window of delivery. A few days later I get a call at the beginning of the delivery window saying they were getting ready to drop off the gravel, and confirmed the drop location in the driveway. After dropping off the gravel, they left the invoice in my mailbox.No complaints.

Really bad first time experience. I drove all the way from Channelview to buy 1 cubic yard of soil.The guy with the front loader, loaded half of the premium soil in my truck and rhe other half in the floor. I asked for a shovel to load myself that on my truck and he told me with a real bad attitude we dont borrow shovels here. First and last time the I bought anything from them...I will not recommend this place to nobody that ask me where to buy soil of mulching...

They do not honor their online prices. I just called this am, the lady quotes 160 for the Bermuda ...... I told her the price was 125 she said no its 160 I told her the online price says 125.... she said I was on the wrong website.... Dude.... I got your number from the website!!!! Then she said.... well the prices have gone up...... please guys the key to good business..... honesty.........

Terrible experience! We ordered sod from them and they scheduled it to be delivered on Wednesday so my spouse and I took the day off work and hired a worker and paid him a full days work. Noon came around and no delivery of the sod...so we called and they said that they didnt have it in the system. I was very clear in the confirmation of the order when we made it and they said that this has never happened before...YET if you look at the other reviews; there are a lot of people posting that they did this same thing to them. SO clearly this is their typical response for every time that they lose an order. The rudest was the lady who i spoke to who was all defensive. Not one person from the company ever apologized; rather the only person who was relatively helpful was the manager who helped me find another company to deliver. This other company did a great job at fulfilling the order, much unlike Champion. We basically lost a full day of work and paid a worker a full day for nothing since Champion couldnt get their act together. Look at their Yelp reviews...just as bad :-(

I am really angry with this company. I ordered gravel for my driveway on 6/13/16. I was told it would be delivered between 12pm and 4pm on 6/16/16. The evening before I prepared the driveway with a weed barrier and weed treatment that is supposed to be covered within 48 hours. The next day when no one showed up with the delivery I called them and was told that my gravel had not arrived yet. They then assured me it will be delivered the next day. The next day came and the gravel still was not delivered. It is now day three and I was told the gravel will be here within an hour. That was 4 hours ago. I paid over $600 for this terrible service.

These people ruined my day. I drove well over an hour to get there and traffic made it look like I was going to be a couple minutes late. I called and begged them to stay open an extra 5 minutes and they refused. When I got there at 5:05 they had already completely shut down. I was incredibly disappointed. Customer service goes a long way and five minutes was the difference between making or losing a customer.

Got a quote from Champions to resod my yard. I made first payment installment and within 5 minutes they are calling me back to extort more money out of me. If they pull this before the work gets started, i can only imagine how bad they are after the job starts. I canceled the contract and moving onto other contractors.

Poor customer service, no sales skills, just a waste of time. Trying to get Bermuda Grass off season, so they will get it from the farm if it doesnt rain. NO CALL BACK. Two weeks later I am able to order pending a phone call for the confirmation from the farm. NO CALL. The order and charge went through and I did not know I was getting the goods. Ok, so since it is going to rain on the day of delivery, LETS SPEND SOME MORE MONEY to have it installed some other date. I was told I would have Doug calling to give me some estimate of what needs to be done, NO CALL. Sidney doesnt seem to care about the sale or to get someone that can actually help. So I just called the whole thing off.

Delivery issue. no show. Their truck dug a hole in my driveway pavers. Ive been trying to get them to come fix it since before chrisms. They have no idea what their field staff is doing. no management at all. Call the office and talk to one of the ladies there you will find out for yourself how rude they are.

Complete and utter incompetence!!!! On a Friday I ordered 7 cubic yards of Kiddie Mulch to be delivered to my home, they said they could not deliver until the following Thursday, fine, I took the day off work and waited at home for the delivery. At 2PM I called to see what the status was, “Oh, we’re sorry, we sold out of that and will not receive another delivery until Saturday, would you like to reschedule.” They could not explain why they had sold out of something I had paid for a week prior or why I had to call them to find out. I will never deal with them again and recommend against it to anyone who values their time and the competency of whom they spend their money with.

We will see what happens.

Order mulch for delivery on 3/23/2020 for the following Thursday morning mulch never showed up then was said to be pushed back to 1 pm still never arrived called in at 1:30 pm gentle said it be there in 30 minutes would not recommend when called to complain was ignored like nothing happened will not be doing business with company ever again poor service in every category.

My husband worked here some years back and he got a ticket because their truck was not up to code so the company was responsible for the ticket. My husband ended up finding another job. Richard waited until the final date that there was to pay and finally paid the ticket and when my husband called back for the confirmation number he was very rude and called my husband out of his name and hung up in his face. Based on other reviews this seems to be typical behavior from the owner of this company.

The owner, in my opinion, is a vile man and will lie and cheat his customers and employees out of every penny he can muster. Half of these reviews are likely FAKE to disguise how awful this company is run, Richard seems the type to make accounts so he can disguise how awful he is. Just look at photos and grammar content, a lot of them are questionably similar. Take your business elsewhere. Do not line the pockets of evil.Edited to cater to the litigious.
