Their warranty is a joke. It says that if the head or any other part of the external motor is removed the warranty is void. Yet it states before that, that the warranty covers ONLY INTERNAL PARTS. So, Im just a bit confused. And it has to be installed by a certified professional who then has to provide their credentials to the company in order to be CONSIDERED for warranty eligibility. Why not just sell a product you can stand behind? I got the motor I purchased from this fine establishment home and I wanted to inspect its internal parts, as Im sure any half way sensible mechanic would do. I found that the head gasket had been blown out and coolant with oil was left sitting in the head, causing the camshafts to rust. When I, then, removed the head, I found rust in the combustion chamber of the 4th cylinder. I read the warranty the next day before calling them only to find that the warranty had been voided when I performed a VERY ROUTINE INSPECTION ON THE USED MOTOR I HAD JUST PURCHASED FOR $650. I just hope that you, business owner, can live with yourself after taking money from me, who had to perform numerous odd jobs to scrape up the cash to purchase your product; who put their trust in you to be a reputable source of information and merchandise. And what do I have now? A $650 paperweight. Im going to make it work because Im actually a mechanic, and I actually have a grasp on the automotive profession. I shouldve known from their knowledgeable staff that something was off when the boy who helped me find the motor said that I had to use my ECU with the new motor... Like seriously, this is a different head and intake manifold. You tell me how my ECU with factory tuning for the USDM EP3 would plug into and recognize the sensors and data from a JDM Honda Integra Base model. Would give negative stars if it were an option. I dont have any interest in hearing from you unless you plan on replacing my motor or my $650.

I ordered a vvti 1jz from them and the engine looks flawless. Good in person service. Even gave me a different starter because the one that came on my engine was bad. They are kind of bad getting back to people with phone calls, but what I understand from when I was there; they are pretty busy.

We bought a 4 cyc. Honda motor to put in a Civic. I did not drop the oil pan to look at the worn out motor. Pulled head and replaced it with my rebuilt one. Changed the oil and filter, installed Motor. It lasted 2 days. Spun a rod brg. Dropped oil pan. Motor was worn out. Well that was 450.00 Spent on a motor that they won’t replace. Called them up to see if they would replace. Very rude would cut me off as I was trying to explain why I was calling. Ask me if I read there warranty? There warranty is to protect them. What warranty? What a waste of time and money. 450 dollars in the hole. My suggestion to any one considering buying anything here is don’t. Unless you like getting took. O and don’t try to smooth this post over with a response. Y’all took my money and don’t care if the motor runs or not. The only reason I didn’t give y’all zero stars is that’s not an option...........

I bought a 5VZFE JDM engine for my 1999 Toyota 4Runner. I had it installed by David at Backyard Auto (great place). Runs like a champ! Plenty of power. New timing belt, pulleys, and water pump were installed in engine by previous owner in Japan. I replaced a 217k engine with a 60k engine with new components. If you need a Japanese engine dont look any further than JDM King Motors.

Bought a d17a engine for my civic, opened the valve cover and it looked like it has 10k miles...Engines runs like new after installing it and customer service was top notch!

I own a shop close to JDM King and had a customer with a Civic that needed a new engine. I was very busy and paid JDM King to do the swap for me. Bolts were left loose, the firewall was bent and the plastic rain tray was broken. For some strange reason the front oxygen sensor tip was smashed. I honestly think they switched out my good one with a broken one. I asked them to switch out the timing belt and even gave them the parts to do it.. they didnt. It cost me more to fix their work than I would have paid my technicians to do the job. Wont go back. Ever.

NEED A USED ENGINE FOR JAPANESE VEHICLE? LOOK NO FURTHER, YOU FOUND IT WITH JDM KING!!! CALL SAM & HIS STAFF WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU. NO BS; straight shooters, looked for a 2az fe for my g/sons car, 5 weeks looking, 48 yrs in the import repair business, he let me pick the engine out, loaded, paid him, took it home, pulled the v/cvr, clean like it was just built. Valves had no carbon, fired up first crank. Recommend them highly!!!

Next day we showed up, they handled the issue very professionally, apologized, and were quick to honor their warranty and refunded me completely with cash on the spot. Awesome company, cant say enough great things about them. I bought an sr20det from them and right off the bat it was a super clean motor, no damage and very few signs of wear.
