Jack was accommodating and very conscious of my time. The service was performed exactly as I expected and promptly. The technician even identified a problem that was caused by the dealership on its previous service and was tried to be hid. Paid $4000 and nothing was repaired correctly! The entire job was botched. I traded the car in and the mechanics at the dealership showed me that nothing was fixed. Basically they band aided my car for a ridiculous amount of money. DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE CROOKS!

I can’t say enough good things about my service. I called around to several transmission specialists and Jack was the only person who took the time to answer all my questions. Jack honestly told me he couldn’t fairly quote a price over the phone. Other transmission shops quoted a price so I had an idea what a transmission repair might cost. Wow! I have had a horrible experience with this shop. This disaster started ON JANUARY 4th WITH NO RESOLUTION! Jack and his manager constantly promised to fix the transmission on my 2011 Nissan Murano but every time I drove it home it was never working correctly. Within a week the parts in the transmission would be toast and have to be replaced. The transmission never ran the same as before even with fresh parts. I brought up this issue and Jack said I needed to go to a nissan dealership and pay them to program the transmission.......Then there was a magic additive that would fix the issue but for some reason it wasnt used in the first place? Of course this did not resolve the issue. This process has drug on for months and months. The last time the car was picked up from the shop it overheated the next day and left my fiancé stranded on 99. Why? The mechanic broke the radiator when working on the transmission. Found out that day too that the transmission wouldnt shift in to low gear. The gear shift physically cannot move to low. I replaced the radiator to get the car running to remove further hassle with Jack over who is responsible so I can get the car to the shop. I call and call and no answer, no call back from voicemails. Jack screens my calls. During one failure I had them tow the vehicle to the shop for repair under warranty and of course! they did not find anything wrong. So I was out $96. Then I brought it back within a few weeks because the transmission parts burned up again. Rental cars are covered by the warranty but only $40/day. When your car is at the shop for 2-3 weeks at a time, multiple times, it gets expensive to cover the true cost of a rental car above $40. On July 6 I called another location and that manager reached out to the HWY 6 location about my concern and no return call. I hope the owner reaches out to me to fix this. DO NOT EVER USE THIS SHOP!

My 2017 Nissan Altima had a bad transmission. The guys at the Highway N 6 location were great. Steve and his crew were awesome. They were transparent in communicating the issues and repaired my transmission with ease. They kept me up to date with my progress and always treated me kind. I recommend anyone with transmission or other major issues to choose this location.

2014 Jeep Wrangler was leaking oil from the rear main seal which meant transmission had to be dropped to access the leak. They took care of replacing rear shocks and bushings associated with rear stabilizer as well. Ended up keeping the vehicle a little longer than anticipated but well worth it for the honest service I received. When they put the transmission back in and tested everything they found there was still some oil leaking. Jack contacted me right away to let me know they would have to drop the transmission again to get to the repair. I say all this because they didnt charge me a penny more for labor or parts associated with dropping the transmission again to correct the leak they hadnt caught the first time around. I highly recommend My Transmission Experts as they are honest, good communicators and not looking to price gouge you like some mechanics do.

Steve was very helpful in finding a full diagnosis for my vehicle. He was patient and informative. The problem turned out to be much less expensive than I originally thought. I highly recommend!

I had good experience with this location, the consultant explaing clear and straight forward, transmission is starting to fail. Will be few days weeks. But the pint needs to be rebuilt. I came in for a well overdue flush on my Nissan CVT and they did a great job at a very reasonable price in just a few hours. They also addressed a low tire and topped off my brake fluid which they didnt have to do. Robert, the manager, was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. So I shopped around a few places when I felt my clutch starting to go (throwout bearing was making noise), and MTE was the middle quote I got.Mr. Simms was very up-front about the quality of their work, and I kept shopping.A month later, I was driving my roommate to work when my clutch finally bought the farm. I put in a call to MTE, and they told me *not* to try to limp it there. They sent a tow truck and comped the fee, which was awesome!The clutch swap and flywheel resurfacing took an incredibly short amount of time compared to my last car at a different shop (car was in on Monday and on the road again Thursday)These guys are awesome, and I will gladly bring my cars back to them and recommend to anyone still driving a manual transmission, BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE.

Thomas ( The Face of True Customer Service ) has shown to go above beyond. I feel bad as he has hunted an electrical issues that have challenged his years of experience. He is extremely detail and stayed communicated throughout the entire process.

I brought my BMW in with the idea that I needed a transmission flush, but Thomas made sure he took the time to thoroughly figure out what was going on internally and crossed off every check before giving the news that it needed another transmission. Thomas has kept me updated on every aspect of the car and has not failed to keep me in the loop of everything. It’s frustrating not having a car when you’re in college, but he’s made that step of creating a great customer - client relationship. Scott at A Plus Transmissions Specialist did a great job rebuilding my transmission with heavy duty parts. I found a big difference riding down the highway in the way the transmission shifts firmer and feels solid. I have a Ford F250 4x4 diesel crew and have no problems pulling my 9000 lb boat and trailer. Scott had it fixed within a week and kept me informed as the work progressed. Transmission shops are everywhere but it is hard to find a reputable and trustworthy one as Scotts shop. Would I recommend his shop? You betcha! Dave in BC

Great work, good experience! My transmission failed and I had the car towed to the dealership, who quoted me a price not far from the full value of the vehicle. So I am glad that I checked the google reviews and found the good folks of My Transmission Experts. They are truly expert in what they do, and stand behind their work with a 1 year warranty. In speaking with them (mostly Mr. Thomas Sims) I got a good feeling about their expertise and ability. There was a bit of dickering over price, but that is to be expected with most shops, and the final result was fair all around. I have been using A Plus Transmission on Hwy 6 for over 20 years. Ive stayed with them that long for one reason and one reason only: Excellent service!! John is friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. Their technicians are clearly well trained as Ive never had to return to have something corrected or re-done as it is always done correctly the first time. I cannot think of any other auto repair facility I can say that about. They are good!

I have a 1994 Ford e-150, not the easiest thing in the world to get repairs done on. These guys had it diagnosed in a matter of hours, the estimate was approved, and the parts were there the next morning. 48 hours after I dropped it off, it was ready to go, and for only $3200, which is a great price for a heavy duty transmission such as the one I have! Id recommend these guys to anyone who wants a great place! Plus, they offer a three year warranty, which is the best deal Ive found anywhere!

I just got my Tundra truck a few months ago and wanted to change my oil. I then quickly realized as I began draining it that I accidentally drained the Transmission fluid. So I lost about 2 quarts.Just a few days after Christmas and on a Saturday, I called up A Plus Transmission Specialist and they told me not to worry. I got my truck in that same day and an 1.5 hours later, the truck was ready.My truck just reached 100,000 miles. They looked at the transmission and checked for metal flakes, replaced the filter and added fluid for a very cheap cost. They give you the paperwork to prove it all to you. Saved me $100 compared to the dealership (who was not able to service my truck for another week).I told my story and now my mom is needing transmission repairs. Guess where I am sending her to???Thanks guys.

My experience with this company has been very very rewarding, when my car was in another shop and at the end result I was told I would need a transmission, the only thing Ive heard about getting that job done was very expensive and I just didnt know which way to go. I stopped in a few weeks ago thinking I had serious transmission issues due to my truck seeming to not want to drop a gear upon acceleration. I was on a family trip when the issues happened and upon researching shops in the area this one had great reviews. Thomas helped me out and was very helpful. he recommended a transmission flush and new transmission fluid since I never had that done and ever since then I have had no problems. not only was the service done quickly but staff was also helpful and did not try to sell unnecessary services.

You see if my vehicle had the CVT engine then it would have required different fluid from what they normally stocked. My minivan had a transmission problem so we took it to this shop. They fixed it in a reasonable amount of time, knowing we had a driving trip planned. A couple days after, another problem arose, and they fixed it under warranty and fixed it fast since we were leaving the next day on our trip. They seem trustworthy, reliable, and honest. I recently had to get work done on my pt cruiser, Ive been mishandled by mechanics before. Which made me skeptical about all shops, to be honest. I was greeted by a gentleman named Andre. I expressed my concerns and as a 22 year old, Im ignorant when it comes down to dealing with mechanics and cars. He took the time to explain everything, without rushing out making me feel like I was stupid for asking all these questions. Being that my car is my only means of transportation, I was worried about how long it would take, Andre first off kept me updated and then had my car back to me in a timely manner. Was having overdrive/shifting issues so I took my truck in to a shop. They werent very friendly and wanted me to pay an outrageous amount to look at my transmission. Ended up leaving and taking it to Thomas who was extremely friendly from the start. After a day they figured out it needed a rebuild. Thomas and his crew explained everything and even let us look at the parts needing to be replaced. My husband and I appreciate that kind of service and we will bring our business back to this location as well as recommending them to our family and friends!

I started having a lot of problems with this workshop. They brought me round and round and just lies! They gave me excuses, and in the end, they took more than a month to repair the transmission of my Toyota. When I receive my Toyota back, I find in the back seats and part of the upholstery, rumpled by mice and mouse poop wherever, I think, really this workshop without any professionalism, they are not professional or experts! I dont recommend this Shop.

After three years of driving on a check engine light that I knew was due to a transmission problem (and somehow, miraculously, not breaking down at some point), I brought my 2002 Focus in to get it fixed. These guys really know what they are doing and are pleasant to talk to. Yes, it was very expensive, and yes, it took them a while to fix it, but I definitely felt like I paid for what I got and did not feel pressured to buy at all. They would not let me have my car back until they were satisfied they had done a good job, which gives me peace of mind. I certainly hope I dont have another transmission problem again, but if I do, Ill be taking my car here.

Second time in two years to visit. First time I had my transmission rebuilt. Did a great job. Second was for fluid and filter change. Had a leak, found the front seal was bad and leak going into the radiator. Fixed the front seal under warranty and installed a transmission cooler. Runs great and no issues.Brian was very helpful and great customer service.I will be back in for regular maintenance and service.

Brought in my 2007 Jeep Liberty. They were able to quickly diagnose and address the issues at a reasonable price. They kept me informed of the progress and had it back to me in a reasonable time. Would recommend their service.

Was in Houston visiting family and the transmission in my truck went out, googled transmission shops in the area and this shop came up and decided to give them a try. To my surprise it was very painless and a pleasant experience. My gratitude to the guys at the shop for a job well done and getting me back to Dallas.

While transmission shops generally make me leery, I took my 2002 Axiom in and had a great experience all around. Brian and team are a group of honest, trustworthy, competent guys. Not only did Tony perform my tranny check and deliver everything Brian promised when I called the day before, he put air in my low tire without me even asking. Saved me a stop. If its dependable, upstanding service and pricing you want, these guys are highly recommended!

Weve been doing business with A Plus for a DecadeOur first experience with Jim and A Plus was back in 2003. We had just purchased a 99 Suburban (88K miles) with a shot transmission. We took it to Jim who installed a new transmission which lasted us another 140K miles. We then took the suburban back to A Plus when that one went out and had a second transmission put in and it has been running strong ever since. Jim and A Plus have also put a transmission in my sons 2001 5 speed Mustang. Any time that we have had any issues, Jim immediately inspects and fixes whatever we need help with. Most of these items get covered under warranty. Jim prides himself on his transmissions lasting more than 100K miles and has many testimonials from customers including us! Jim is friendly, corteous, and always does what he says. I cannot state strongly enough how much my wife and I think of Jim and the quality of his workers and their repairs. Fast diagnostic on what our truck needed. Truck was done in a couple days. Thomas helped us with getting financing to help cover the cost. Thomas also explained all the parts that needed to be replaced. Highly recommend.

This is the first and probably last review Ill ever do but he deserves it, no doubt. I took my 2016 Dodge Charger to the shop with a broken drive shaft. Everyone was telling me itd be $1,200 plus, which I didnt have. I called Mr. Thomas and boy did he brighten our day up. Talk about a straight shooter, he never missed a beat. I paid a 1/3 of what everyone else wanted and my car was out in less than 4 business days. You want someone who treats you like family and gives more than fair prices. I usually don’t ever leave reviews but felt the need too because they did a very good job with my transmission and there are so understanding and very nice but josh helped me out a lot they went above and beyond out there way to try and help me out in all kinds of ways possible to satisfied me the experience at this shop was unforgettable as well there customer service i highly recommend this place 10 stars if you ask me
