I advise you all to not rent any books from this store as they are thieves! They took out software out of the book that I needed for a math class. The book bought through the college cost $150 with the software included. When I went to ask where the program was the cashier tried charging me $130 for software that’s included with the book. Also returned the book because I had to pay the digital version of the book and when asking for a refund for the time I don’t have the book he would not refund me money. Trash company trash employees.

Good customer service. Mohammad and team have helped me out the last few years. didnt go to school first fall semester during covid but I am happy to be back to school and can rent my books from here.

I have rented textbooks here for the last two years. Prices have gone up! Front desk guy was rude and had an attitude the whole time. Would not recommend. Ripping off students who need textbooks last minute.

This is the place to go when you need a textbook! The staff has always been so helpful and friendly in my experiences here. This is a great place to rent and buy textbooks at an affordable price, even if you dont go to San Jac. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and will go out of their way to find the books you need. Ive not only rented/bought books from here, but Ive also sold some old ones back. I sold some books back today, and in addition to getting what I believed was a fair deal, it was also a seamless process; I was in and out in only a few minutes. If you are looking for textbooks at affordable prices along with some great customer service, I highly recommend this place... you wont be disappointed!

South Belt Textbooks have been extremely helpful to me during my time in college - especially as a student that pays for their own books. Their managers and employees are always so helpful and patient with me. They never hesitate to go the extra mile every time I get my books. Stop by this bookstore before you shop anywhere else for your college textbooks... you will be doing yourself a huge favor and save sooo much money! Their prices are ALWAYS lower than the bookstore on campus - especially when you rent. I think I have saved at least $75 every semester if not more. So thankful for this place!!

The owner and his daughter are both very friendly. They work hard to try to accommodate what books you need. Even if you are not going to San Jac and you are going to the university they are able to special order books for you so you dont have to buy them. Only downside is their website is a little outdated its hard to find information on books. But always great customer service and reasonable prices

Owner is rude. I have rented here the past 3 years bc of price but owner is very unhelpful and unprofessional. He is condescending - I needed to know my history with them to make sure I did not rent out a book this semester & this man did not spell my name correctly and got a tone with me and told me to just look at my text book for their sticker. I am not relying on that- I told him to repeat how he spelled my name- he spelled it wrong. Then once he fixed it, he says I cant find you I told him I know I am in the system because I have rented here several times(not sure if he just didnt want to admit it was his fault bc he already gave me an attitude about it). Then he finally found it. He was unhelpful, never asked me to repeat my name spelling incase he got it wrong- he kept saying if you rented here as though I would be lying about it. Last semester, I returned my book & it was pouring rain, I covered it as best I could & when I got in the store the first thing he says before even greeting me is- its raining, you couldnt cover the book better? - what kind of customer service is that? Never renting again.

If you are looking for textbooks, access codes or school supplies for any campus South Belt Textbooks is the right place for your purchase. You can rent or buy for an affordable price and they also work with financial aid. Great place and great customer service.

I love this place! They have great service and great prices. Whenever I need a book I know where to go.

Horrible Place. Refused to return/price match a day after renting a book. Said they wouldn’t do it because it was their last book. Also when speaking to a family member, owner raised his voice and told them that he wouldn’t do it and if they didn’t shut up he would hang up the phone. Horrible Service with a horrible owner. I got books from them for 3 years and recommended a lot of my friends to go there for their prices and no hassle price match. Clearly I was mistaken and will tell a lot of people I know to avoid the place.

Customer service was amazing! All I had to do was let them know what class I was taking and they took it from there, easy to purchase and even easier to return.

This place has AWESOME prices for textbooks needed at San Jac - South. You can rent books instead of buying them and it saves you so much extra. They even give free scantrons if you need and Blue Books too. Plus its super close to campus. I highly recommend this place to San Jac students.

I have been a loyal customer to Southbelt textbooks for three years. Today I went in to get my books and overheard a girl looking for a BCIS textbook that was not in stock..I had a perfectly good BCIS book in my car and told the girl that I would give it to her. Then the owner had the nerve to yell at me in front of 10+ people - WE RENT THIS PLACE DO NOT SAY THAT KIND OF STUFF IN HERE.Ummmmm EXCUSE ME? I was only trying to help a fellow student out because I know how crucial the book is for that class. I will NEVER step foot in that terrible establishment ever again. Wouldnt recommend this place at all. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service.Oh and It also smells like dirty sewage in there.
