Lina V is a family-owned and operated boutique that, honestly, could service anyone in Houston looking for beautiful gowns to the highest caliber. I came here looking for a gown to wear to a wedding and one of the owners immediately could visualize my size and what dress to put me in. Alterations were easily handled through the shop, and they were very thorough in making sure they had the best measurements possible. I felt like a hollywood star in that gown when all was said and done. I wore it to an Indian wedding and got many compliments. I would come back to this shop for a similar event in a heartbeat - there’s simply no competition.

I am so incredibly grateful for my shopping experience these wonderful people created. They were so patient and understanding of my thoughts and feelings. I tried on a couple of dresses and they provided nice and honest advice. The gentlemen pulled out a dress I never thought would be the one and it fit like a clove. They even understood my mother wanted to come and see the dress, so they waited patiently until her arrival even though they had closed not too long ago. We were looking for a homecoming dress for my daughter so I Googled, “formal dress shops near me.” We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful selection and wonderful customer service we received. My daughter found the perfect dress and I found a gown for a wedding I’ll be attending in October. If you’re looking for a good clean place with reasonable prices this is where I recommend looking. Plus, this a family owned and operated business! They have a great selection, and if they don’t have it on the rack, it can be ordered.

The owner of the store was extremely rude. I had liked a dress and asked if I could try it on but he rudely said “it’s an XS, that’s a size 2. You don’t look like a size 2 anywhere.” The dress actually fit and it fit big. I do not recommend coming here unless you want to be fat shamed.

I said yes to the dress!My dress shopping experience could have not been better! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a warm welcome and they offered assistance if needed . They assured me that if something was no in stock in my size, that they could order it for me . After searching I found the perfect dress within 30-45 minutes. The lady that was helping me was so sweet and helped in styling me to get a better picture of everything out together . We walked in to browse quinceañera dress. The staff gives you space but is available for any questions you may have. Lina was patient and has suggestions for styles and colors we wouldnt imagine to try on and they were perfect! Solomon is THE BEST, hands down. Kind, patient, HONEST, and genuine!!! My friends and I went to shop for prom dresses and had a great experience. They suggested beautiful dresses for us and we absolutely loved them. They also gave us great discounts and we were able to pay without going anywhere near over our budgets. It was a great experience.

They were helpful in a way in ordering my dress at a good price...!!! But I wouldn’t recommend NONE of my family members or friends after they sent me the wrong size, I ordered a size 12 they sent me two sizes down and I tried on the dress couldn’t fit a button came off, I called them twice to let them know and see what they can do for me but all I got was no refund nor an exchange when they’re the ones that messed up my wedding dress order even my receipt says the size I ordered. Definitely disappointed in this store because now I have to spend more money in altering my whole wedding dress. And the thing is the manager was speaking as if he ordered the right size and everything when I was putting in my order..!!!!!!!! NEVER 👎 GOING BACK THERE FOR ANY FORMAL DRESSES THEY GOT ME MESSED UP ALL THE WAY..!!!!!!!!

I found the store by chance. I had already been to several other stores and was sadly disappointed. Either not the style I was looking for or nothing in store in my size (I’m size 18). My sister and I went to Lina V. Formals in search of formals for a cotillion. The experience was awesome. My sister did not feel her best and the owners went out of their way to make sure she was taking it easy and not trying to do too much. We were able to find two gorgeous gowns at a great price that had us receiving compliments the entire night of the cotillion. I will visit Lina V. Formals again later this year for another beautiful gown.
