From the outside you may think a strip mall blah. When you enter it is quite surprising to see a full meat counter and restaurant. The food was tasty (French onion soup was boring) but everything else was very good. Very good service and fast

By far the best new York strip steak ($30) Ive had done here in the Houston area.Cooked to perfection, large baked potato with all the fixings, plus a large salad.Extreamly friendly folks as well.Dont let the out side turn you away....it looks cheap from the road but then you walk in a wonderful setting. You can pick your own steak out for them to cook.I came around 345pm and it was nice and quiet. Thank you go all the workers, you where all so wonderful.

The steak was cooked perfectly, but it seemed like way to much butter was on the baked potato and lump crab meat (see picture, the steak is literally standing in butter...). Comfort food tasty, but the local could definitely use upgraded decor.

Good real meat. Never disappointed

This place might be small but the food here is beyond fresh and delicious. I eat here maybe 2 to 3 times a week and I’m literally never disappointed. My favorite is probably the stuffed spud. And the appetizers here are top tier. The stuffed mushrooms and stuffed jalapeños are to die for.

The only restaurant in town where you can pick your own steak from a line up, or have the butcher cut you something exactly to your specifications.Its also really underutililized for a restaurant. No wait like there can be at other prime steak houses.

Wednesdays have a great lunch special. 12ish dollars for their famous pork chop and mash potatoes.

If you want a great steak without the fancy restaurant pricing, Perrys Scarsdale is the place for you. They are an active meat market and restaurant, so it is not an upscale eatery with the upscale prices. It is just great food at a reasonable price!

Had the steak for 2 with my mom. Subbed my salad for fries, my mother liked her salad and the fries were really good! The baked potato, Im typically not a fan of them and but they came out fine. The steak was huge and was really good, peppercorn gravy was good for dipping.For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse cake slice and my mom had the bread pudding which we both loved our choices.All in all, service and food was great. Im excited to come back soon and try something else on the menu.

1st time guest, not impressed on first experience order. Steak ordered medium, came out well done (returned and came out correct 2nd try). Chicken Fried Chicken was extremely dry, needed extra gravy to pass it down. 3.5 ⭐️Manager took care of us on the bill, and was pleased with the service. Wait staff name was Jesse!

We just wanted to support local business. Came in try to sit and eat and guy behind the cunter asked us to put masks on. There was 3 tables of people. None of them had mask. He told us we will not be served if we do not wear masks What is the point of it? The germs do not spread when people sit and eat?

My entire family has frequented this location. We enjoy the Perrys franchise, however this locale offers a more unique and personal touch in addition to a more casual style of dining while enjoying top shelf cuisine you may also drop in to pick up some of the best quality meats the Houston area has to offer to bring home and grill yourself. A place they truly remember your name and you will be glad you came.

We were looking for a steak place in Texas that was not a chain but also not cost prohibitive. We saw this place and decided to try it since all the reviews were good.The steaks were cooked perfectly and were great. The waiter was awesome. Ask for Jesse if you come in. We are from Florida and will definitely be back next time we travel this way.

Wonderful. Had the butcher buger, new York strip, Hawaiian chicken. The food was delicious and the staff cleaned everything, chairs, salt and pepper shakers between patrons.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. My sister and I stopped by one evening to celebrate her new job. We walk in, grab a seat and wait, and wait and wait and wait some more. At this point my sister and I are getting a little frustrated, so I wave down a waiter to ask for menus and we place our drink orders. He rushes us through the process and leaves abruptly. Now I’m a little taken aback because it’s not busy, empty tables are everywhere and adequate staff is huddled up in the corner. Then 2 different sets of white folks walk in and they are quickly seated and given drinks - WTF - my sister and I are still waiting on water!!!We are the only black folks in the place, but it’s 2019 so that can’t be the reason we are being ignored- right??? Wrong, after another 5 minutes we just get up in leave, disappointment and disgusted! Bottom line - this is a racist location that should be ashamed of their behavior. I will never eat at another Perry’s again!

Had a rib eye. Steak was good. Service was not. I saw the cook out front more than the waiter. Oh, you could hear his laugh but you couldnt see him, kinda like a Twilight Zone episode.For 30 bucks a plate I shouldnt have to chase down the staff.I guess the rush of 4 tables overwhelmed the young man. I am usually an over tipper but I believe Ive been cured.Sad, always wondered what the hype was about.

OMG one of the best restaurants I have ever gone to. The Steaks are Awesome and Juicy I like mine Medium Rare and they get it just right not bloody or overcooked. I recommend everyone to come and try it. Everything is Delicious like the Pastas, Hamburgers, Rib Eye Steaks, and dont get me started on the Pork Chop one of my Favorite dishes.

Wasnt sure what to expect but was seriously impressed with the quality of the food and the timeliness considering it was lunch. No wonder the place was full! Excellent pork chop that looks more like a slab of prime rib!

We love the food. The chicken fried steak is wonderful. We love the huge pork chop but, the service is lacking. We have missed going in for a while and instead of table service, you take your menu to the table and then go back up to the counter and order. I prefer table service especially since they leave a line open for a tip..

My husband and I was excited to try this place because of the great reviews and the fact that it is the original but was greatly disappointed. I order a steak medium and my husband ordered a steak medium well. Both of the steaks came medium rare. The waiter took our food back to have it corrected and when we received it again, it was so dry and tasteless i could barely chew it. We wont be back to this location.

First time here. Staff was friendly. The kids loved that you can draw on the table covered with a top sheet of paper. You can buy raw meats and great desserts. Had the porter house and it was yummy. Will come back again.

One of my favorite places. Great burgers and same great steaks and famous pork chop as the sister upscale restaurants. Casual, no reservations needed. Grab spmething fresh fro. The meat counter while you are there.

From out of state stopped here to try it and the Ribeye was on point. Very good and friendly service.

Went in around 6pm on a Thursday evening, not busy, 3 tables had guests the rest were empty, sat ourselves down and waited, then waited some more, than some more. There was one other table who had a server waiting on them, another server behind the register, after about 8 minutes of being completely ignored (we had definitely been seen) we left, nobody said a single word to us. Simply appalling service.Edit: After speaking with the restaurant GM Brenda, it really has changed my opinion on Perrys. While what I experienced on the night was poor the follow up to address my issues has been exceptional, Brenda really went above and beyond to show this experience is not the norm and that they really do value the experience customers receive at Perrys, I’m looking forward to giving them another go.

Wednesday pork chop. Need I say more. Perrys is the meat market associated with the Perrys high end steak houses so the meat is of top quality. On Wednesday they offer a huge delicious pork chop lunch special that is a must have. They are also a full service butcher shop.

This was the perfect place for lunch this Mothers Day. We had a reservation for 8 and our party was seated immediately after arrival; no waiting! It was confortable, not packed. With Soft Jazz playing, everyone was able to eat, talk, and enjoy our meal. We WILL return again!!!!

Amazing freshly ground burgers, that melt in your mouth, and if you havent heard of their famous double bone in porkchops, you are missing out. Its a bit pricey and I wish there was more sides and they were cheaper.

Awesome Wednesday pork chop

My family and I have been coming to this location for more than 20 years. In the last 8 months or so, service has been terrible when dining in. During the last 3 visits we were ignored or totally forgotten. I suppose were thought to be such long time patrons, well always be there.Third times a charm, not coming back!

So as a professional chef I have a few concerns. By far this place is very nice for the location. The meat is select.. Maybe. Definitely not prime or choice. Nice crust but very fatty and chewy. The sauce on the peppercorn steak is premade, thick and full of cornstarch. The salad is worth a buck and that is stretching it. Cheapest greens and a watered down dressing. My baked potato was undercooked.... Come on... That should be a no brainier! The 14$ Alfredo is the size of a kids portion and the cream is barely reduced ( doubtful that is is actually heavy cream) . The Hawaiian chicken is a winner. Jalapeno poppers are permade and heated from frozen with a ranch sauce on the bottom... Oh and you get charged a bottle water fee for tap water as well as for every refill.

The food and service was great! If your sitting on the fence it’s well worth pulling off the freeway and getting out of the Galveston traffic for a while for a very nice and tasty dining experience!

They never let me down.

My burger was burnt and I had to wait 30 minutes when they told me it will be ready in 5-10 minutes. Lady never apologized or at least offered me a free drink. Fries were not good. They were hard and dry inside.

Steak and service could do with some work.Steaks were tough and had very little flavor.Service was sub-par 10mins for drinks, no pre-bussing, refills were non existant.Asked for a box to take kids meal home going on another 10 mins waiting before the server decides to come back by.Tables stayed dirty 15mins after other customers left or until someone else came in to stand around waiting to be seated.Check never came to the table.Not sure who the manager was but they definetely did not have a presence in the dront of the house.
