Amazing cakes. The cake decorator was able to do a birthday cake for my son last with Halloween theme. The design was flawless. He was able to take our ideas and presented it masterfully. If you havent tried their cakes, you dont know what you are missing.

Its nice. I went at probably a bad time but the employees were nice enough to let me know what was available and what was popular. I picked up one pineapple cake and one strawberry cake. I would recommend going here early in the morning because while it was fresh, a lot of stuff was already gone. Not only do they have bakery goods but also food that they make. Overall, I recommend checking it out.

Great selection of desserts, pastries, breads, sandwiches and cookies. We always enjoy their Cakes. Recently got the mixed fruit cake which certainly reminds of back home. Tastes very fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend it if you’re visiting houston Hilcroft area and would like to enjoy best cakes. They even have eggless cake options. I have also tried their sandwiches, patties, small pizzas. They all taste very yummy. Staff is always courteous and friendly and give prompt service. another personal favorite cakes are Black Forest and Ferrero Rocher.

Hot Breads is a definite stop on all of our trips to Houston. Not only is the food fresh and delicious but you can find something for everyone. The pastries are decadent and the puffs are mouthwatering. Its always packed when we go, but the staff always takes good care of us. Highly recommend everything on the menu especially almond cookies and fruitcake and I love the blackforest pastries 🍰 😋

Feels like being back in India. They have various puffs (paneer, veg, egg, chicken) - all are good. I also love the pineapple and black forest pastries - they are very light unlike cheesecakes and much more delicious.

We decided to buy theme cake for our son’s 3rd bday, after seeing the amazing reviews for Hot Bread bakers. They don’t take online orders, so I specifically went to order special Bday cake on Dinosaur/Safari theme from these professionals, although we are good bakers ourselves. The lady showed me real beautiful cakes on phone ( no pamphlets) . Of which I selected one beautiful bakery cake on Dinosaur theme. My mistake here is I didn’t take the photo of the cake I selected. I trusted them.My husband went to take the cake delivery, and he did not had the clue on design. I was really disappointed on seeing the cake, which was no where near to my expectations. The cake tasted well but couldn’t make up for my disappointment. I could have made a better cake myself, if I had to put toys on it, in one forth of price I gave for professional masterpiece. Really heart breaking.

I tried most of there variety for baked goods and cakes.It really good in taste and fresh. best part of there cakes is it has very less sugar in it. authentic indian flavor for everything.

I visit to this place only once so I havent had chance to try everything but I tried veg grill sandwich and tea. The sandwich was good.All the vegetables were fresh. The service was ok. The waiting time for food was less then 5 mins since it was morning hours.

We tried veg. Puffs(was really good), breads and Pav. Very soft and fresh. This is the place to go if you like authentic Indian Pav or bread for the sandwiches.

Staff is incredibly rude. They are out of touch with the current pandemic and have complete disregard for it. Wanted to cancel my order on a cake (after previously buying 5 cakes worth $165 the week before) for another occasion. Due to complications involving COVID-19, no one could go pick up the cake. We called 5 days in advance to cancel the cake, and they refused to give us a refund. BAD SERVICE

Staff is rude! They started laughing at us after we had asked for a refund on our cake (that they hadnt made yet) because of covid issues. They are very unprofessional and their cakes are dry.

I called late on Valentines day and they are about to close, the owner was very nice and told me she will wait for me since I am not far away. When I got there, most the of deserts in the display window are already tucked away into the fridge, so it took me a while with them to figure out which one is which since we didnt communicate very well.All their deserts looked amazing, owner told me they are Indians influenced deserts. I tried to order one of each of the most popular item. The price is very reasonable, and for the price we paid, the desert is ok. It was amazing, but if you just want some simple sweets, they will do.The black forest is bit too cherry for me. Coffee cake is pretty soft and taste good. Cream pie is decent to have.

Asked for eggless. They put my name on cake and said its not eggless but i had to get it because they already put my name on it. I would not come here for a regular cake so dissapointed they werent clear it wasnt eggless when i asked for it.

Picked up a strawberry cake, chocolate pyramid cake, and two savory puff pastries. The cakes are so delicious! Moist and tasty without being overly sweet. Have yet to try the pastries, but definitely stop by and have a slice of one of their cakes.

Nice Bakers But a little expensive

Friendly and helpful staff behind the counter, which qualifies this establishment for a single star. The rest is less than desirable. High prices for low quality material, and below average taste of the product line. On our recent visit around 2pm, we noticed that the AC wasn’t working in the sitting area and the blow and return air grills in the ceiling were dirty and clogged. We were told that the oven was ON so that’s why the interior was hot. We also noticed that a worker handling the pastries sat on a barstool behind the counter, adjusted and tied his shoes, and then went right back to handling the food. Certainly not going back there.

One of the best places in Houston to go for snacks with an Indian twist. Their chicken tikka puff and chili chicken puffs are very delicious. They have amazing pastries too, definitely try the chocolate trifle and the mocha pastry. They have in bakery baked breads as well. Definitely a place for to-go

Visited near twelve, it was not full. It has a cool interior. Atmosphere and food reminds me of Virginia Beach.

Visited here recently. Both ladies are very rude. They dont seem to care about your opinion. I told them if they could use roasted chestnuts inside which is very popular in my country. Also told them where they can buy it about a dollar a bag. Instead of thanking, she acted rude and said no. I have visited this place couple of times, each time when I ask for a fork or a spoon, she gets nervous. They are so tightfisted. When I tasted the cake later (the mixed fruit), it tasted so tasteless. The cake my wife made actually tasted better in terms of sponginess. these people do not put any smiley face onto their customers

Absolutely terrible food. The Chicken Tikka, Chilli Chicken and Paneer Chicken rolls + their Vada Pav were not fresh. The bread was stinky, the fillings were not tasty and it was just wrong, overall. Whatever we could eat made us sick. Regrettable experience. Don’t go.

There isnt any option for 00, so giving 1 star..ZERO customer service, give you the feeling that you are at their mercy.Dont even get up when u want to order something.They feel like they running the place in India.Egg less cake was too mediocre for taste, way overpriced.The Old lady owner wont even show you what designs they have for cake, they will not allow you to take their book out to show family member like u will runaway with their torn cake design book. Utterly non-sense.Do Not STOP here for the sake of Egg-less Cake. Go to BAPS, though they will not make custom cakes but their taste is way better than this..Very disappointed as I had high hopes from this place.

Good place for snack items. I had their vegetable puff and aloo capsicum puff, both tasted good. Their cookies are also good, specially the crushed almond cookie.

I love the cakes here - soft, moist, a bit less sweet for my taste but better than anything I can get at Kroger, HEB, Randalls, etc. The price is a bit high though. Coffee cake is the best. Service is decent.

The customer service is very poor. Ive been to hot bread in Chicago and this is too low to rate. I went there to order my sons birthday cake, the lady said the catalog was in the corner for cakes so we looked and we told her our selection then she said oh that catalog was old and they no longer take orders and handed me a catalog from inside to select from. Again, we gave her our selection from that new catalog then she said oh we cant do that as it was a tier cake. Also said they dont make tier one, tho they have displayed all tier cakes in store. Then I said ok lets select picture one from new catalog, again she said cant be done. So I asked her what can b done? She replied that I have to give her three options of different cakes and then they will decide which one can b done. I was expecting the other way around :) I mean seriously the way she was talking sounded clueless. I even asked if there was anybody else I can talk who knows more. Then she said would call back with the information and I have not heard from her yet! So guys if you desperately need eggless cake as I always need then I highly dont suggest this place instead I found a better place with a way better service !!!!

It is very hard to get EggLess cake or Indian Vegetarian cake, we found this place and were very excited. We bought couple of things and all were fine for us.I have taste of Patiala and Amritsar for Bakery so if one is comparing to that then I think one is out of their mind.In entire US Bakery is of lower standard than Europe and some places in Punjab. Anyone who is a European and is rating this should not compare to their standard.Now the owner or the family (dont think they are Indian) know everything about the quality but are you going to pay for that. In Walmart culture dont expect quality, you can go and buy at whole food and should know the price you pay for quality.Customer service comments from Indians or Pakistanis or in general those who have never served Indians or Pakistanis customers is again one sided. Sell something to this gang of google savvy customers and think of making money, no they only pay lowest wages that too to illegals. So dont compare regular customer service to this type of establishments customer service. I am not attached to them nor I run a Bakery business but I think some reviewers here were biased. There are some from Management also who wrote all 5*s and you can figure that out also. I dont give zero or negative to any place, it means you deserve zero and negative that you could not google before visiting them. All fives and ones are biased in my opinion.

Ridiculous attitude of the owner lady. Doesn’t have work ethics or customer service values. Outright declined to reach out to a product just because it was inconvenient for her. Her total don’t care attitude will loose my business and I’ll make sure others know too.

The name of the place should be microwaved bread, instead of hot bread. They microwaved everything, including pizza and chicken/vegetable pastries. Vada paav had deep fried hair incased in the breading. The chicken tikka panini was less than mediocre and the person making it made one glove in the hand used to hold knife and panini maker, instead of the hand that was touching our food. Overall a complete waste of time, money and calories.

Most of the breads are egg less and variety of indian twist on croissants, they are all yummy. This bakery is owned and served by an Indian family. They are polite and their service is always good..Definitely try atleast once place in terms of Indian inspired fusion bakery items
