Filing a consumers complaint since the people working here are charging unexistant items, higher than marked and not wanting to refund. I called the store looking for manager and the same guy who charged me said manager isnt available. No way to have this situation solved.

It’s not a king dollar and nothing is starting $1.25.... this place was really cool before it was real king dollar, so now everything is expensive...

The store was clean, well stocked, yet doesnt l live up the Below Dollar name. I think it should say Below $10 & it will be right. On the snacks isle, BEWARE! MANY OF THE.BREAKFAST & SNACK BARS & CANDY ARE EXPIRED! I DONT MEAN by q couple say. I mean a year or a couple of YEARS!! I told the owner/Mgr and he said, Oh, I will tell they guy. -as Id he wasnt part of the problem. Most stores would have acted on that information and at least removed the items that have expiration dates of 2018, 2019 & 2020. They dont care about our community. We are just dollar signs to them!!! Even if things were expired by months, then I may not view as harshly. They dont care if its harmful, as long as people dont know. No smiles in this place either. I still purchased items here, although some items without prices are supposed to be one price, yet it seems as if its whatever he wants to charge. TO BE FAIR. Some or most things that are not the base price (whatever that really is) have price notice signs nearby to alert customers. But some dont and his attitude was a bit curt when I asked him. I was nice and tried to smile it off. I bought more than I should and put those old ine, two and three year expired items back!!!iHe didnt even thank me, but did say youre welcome when I thanked him for honoring my request to double the bags that were heavy.I know this wouldnt happen in Sugarland, or the other side of Missouri City or even in another part of Houston. Yall please pay attention!!

Very disappointed with coming in at 8:01 pm and reading the sign says closes at nine. He wants to rush you until he noticed my car and wallet. Then wants to be an usher to my service. I won’t ever return. And POC I hope you follow suite. This is an over priced store with horrible customer service. You’ll do better elsewhere.He deserves no stars.

Rude workers with horrible attitude. This store locked us inside one night until they rang everyone up they said they wouldnt let us out until they were done. They only let us out after we threatened to call the cops. Giving them a 2nd chance was a huge mistake today I walked in and a very rude employee (not surprising) wanted me to take my purse off and put it on the floor by the registers while I shopped. He said it was to big. I would never leave my purse with everything in it with that man. Ive never stolen anything from a store in my life and I will never ever step foot in this store again.

Deserves no stars.!!! I wouldnt go back to that location if someone paid me to do so.! I watched the owner stalk and then talk to an elderly lady pretty bad. Simply because she walked in the store with a bag from the store next door which was Fellas Perades. The problem was the lady didnt hear him.

King Dollar is a dollar store that has more things than other dollar stores. But the price is not a dollar its a $1.39 per item plus 11 cents tax makes each item $1.50. I bought 12 juice glasses for $1.50. I bought glass candy or trinket boxes, glass biscuit barrels, socks, hair accessories, toothpaste, shampoo and hair brushes. I did buy a glass vase for flowers, but as soon as I filled it with water it leaked and I had to throw it away.

I came here yesterday for the first time. The owner of the place who is a cashier in the front told me to remove my Diaper bag. He said that he wanted it in the front because he said I was going to steal items from his store and gave me an attitude! I’m never coming back here and don’t recommend this place

Absolutely nothing is under a dollar. Most items are $1.99. A few items are $1.49. So dont be fooled by the name Below Dollar because they are not.

This Store is still mandating people to wear a mask, Im fully vaccinated. This location is still manding to wear a mask I repeat. Is no longer an obligation to wear one.

Before when Ive gone into this store Ive always been very satisfied with the merchandise that Ive gotten but on this day in this instant I was not pleased at all when theyre selling a $0.95 or 99 cent can of air freshener for $1.99 that to me was assinine so I refused and I let the manager know that was too expensive and I walked out. I still possibly shop there again just not for air freshener.

Nothing in this store is below a dollar are even at a dollar. The name is bogus. Bargain shop somewhere else.

Unfortunately they run out of the hot items that are a great deal and hard-to-find & other King Dollar stores may not have, I keep looking and they always have new products and they got great deals now and then on things that you wouldnt think you would pay a dollar .39 for its great. GRAB WHEN YOU CAN CUZ I MIGHT NOT BE THERE WHEN YOU COME BACK

They have a variety of items! However, I did not appreciate their so called undercover security appearing everywhere I was! I wasnt even carrying a purse nor anything else to hide items and my hands were full! After I paid for my items over 40 dollars worth I had to Express myself by letting him know I understand it is his job, but I didnt appreciate being followed around and that I am not a thief! Dont want no Menace to Society mess! Lol

NOTHING in here is below a dollar as the name states! The worker on this particular day was rude and unbothered! There were not even items listed at the $1.25 price as the register sign said. I personally asked him where those products were located, he declined to answer.

Ever since the store change the name on the front, the prices have soared. Nothing in here is even 1.39 as it use to be or on the signs hanging from the ceiling. I wont be back. There are actual King Dollars close enough to go to.

Literally NOTHING was below $1. In fact, everything was $1.99 except a small spray bottle, which was $1.49.

Be careful with this store! They say that everything is $1.25, but theyre BIG LIARS because nothing costs $1.25 and most of their food is expired. When youre about to pay, the real price turns out to be $1.49 😳😳😳. They took off the big sign from outside that said King Dollar $1.25 and now they replaced it with a new one that says BELOW DOLLAR, yet everything is still $1.49 plus tax.

I go here in a bind but everything went up to 1.99 instead of 1.25

Very nice store they have everything and anything meaning. Soap,lite bulbs, hammers, sodas, Christmas items lots of them. This is my go to store $1.25

A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

Overall, its clean and organized. Look at food and medicine products because most are expired. Items that cost more than 1.50 are not always marked accordingly on shelves. But other than that you cant be the price for certain name brand products.

Went there tonight (late December 2019) and this is now a Below Dollar store. You can still see the King Dollar branding in a few places and they have some of the classic KD items but its all been updated. And to be honest, I think it might be better. Im a fan of King Dollar because they have so many wacky items and this store didnt disappoint (Duck Dynasty bobbleheads, anyone? or a gallon of cranberry sauce?) but this new version has added some genuinely nice items in food, garden ware, and so on. So I think its an upgrade. We did buy one item and while everything is advertised as $1.25, we paid more than that (even when you allow for tax). So not sure whats going on there.

The people writing all the good reviews are obviously the people who work there this store is a major rip off when they first came out here the store was $1.15 then it went to $1.25 now its below a dollar and guess what NOT A THING IS BELOW A DOLLAR the only reason I continue shop here us because they have some things I cant find at dollar tree but Im making it a habit not come here often how can you claim to be a dollar store and rip people off we already have Walmart nearby we go to dollar stores to find cheaper not damn near the same price!!!

Lots of items in a very organized and clean store. BUT, check the expiration dates on products (food) before you buy. Some snacks and candy had expired in Dec. 2018 😳🤔😮😒

They have really good quality of things for $1.25 not a bad store. It could improve on some stuff or inventory because it doesnt last. For the most part it has really interesting things. Perfect for back to school shopping. I have been attending for years and havent let me down. Its just the same as buying expensive things but cheap.

There were alot of cool little items to purchase and the cool thing is that they were open late at night on the night before Xmas. We stocked up on chocolate treats to fill gift baskets but the reason for the missing star is because of lack of customer service. I asked the guy for baskets to put the gifts in and he acted like he couldnt be bothered and when he did answer,it was some mumbled deep accent of regurgitated words and point toward a section that didnt have baskets,it was actually the childrens corner of toys. So in other words,they lost money because I didnt find the baskets to buy and didnt buy the cups I wanted to put in the basket. And somehow the store advertises nothing over a certain price but I got 3 items and I was charged for 4 items. I was tired so I just left it alone and it would be a hard up moment to come back here but they had some alright items,so well see.

For a dollar store its great...they just need another cashier for when it gets busy

The price going up doesnt bother me, but my complaint is about the guy thats the cashier. He is very rude. I love that they have almost everything! However, the parking lot is so trashy. I know its not their fault but at least try to make your area look presentable. They share a parking lot with Fallas Paredes so i guess its whoever cleans, cleans.
