I knew what I wanted before I went in the store. I asked an employee for assistance in finding a price. He said he would get his designer to come and assist us. That person came. I indicated the items I wanted and asked him for the price. I felt like what followed was almost an argument of me trying to convince him that yes, I did want that, the price was fine. I really did want two of these, and two of those, with all of the related hardware necessary. It felt almost like he was trying to talk me out of it.I got what I wanted, along with my other selections, and went to check out. I dont require a fawning cashier. However, a friendly one would have been appreciated.All things said and done, would I come back again? Yes, absolutely. Based solely on merchandise offered..***UPDATE***After arriving home, 2 hours away from the store, we discovered one box was completely the wrong merchandise. Its a $50 + dollar purchase so we cant just let it go, and at least a two hour drive. Extremely inconvenient.

False advertisingSo I drive all the way to the store to pick up these hangers which says that there from 4.99 -7.99 I get to the store they are all 7.99 the accessories clips for the hangers are $4.99 the ad is misleading you guys need to change it. Upon further research I discover many issues with the felt metal hangers so Im glad I bought them elsewhere, at least I didnt get taken.Today I get a nice message from someone at their corp office telling me my review didnt meet their guidelines so its been review!As much as I love the content of this store have they grown to big to care about the consumer. SHOPPER BEWARE!!!!!

This was the worst customer experience I have had with curbside pickup. The website is not clear on what the process should be. You pick a time slot to pick it up, but it may not be ready then. I got there at the beginning of the slot and clicked the button to say I was there. It took you to the website and there was nothing to say youre there. Turns out that is because my order wasnt ready (had ordered it 3 days before!). I went inside only to have them not be able to find my order and had to call someone from the back. After about 15-20 minutes, someone showed up and said she look for it. She came back after another 10 minutes to tell me the order wasnt ready and I shouldnt have come until I got an email (would have been nice if the ordering process told you this!). It was going to be another 20 minutes before my order was ready. Her excuse was that they get 100s of orders of Elfa a day. Sounds like the store needs to hire more help, which would be good in a time when a lot of people are out of work. Luckily, we were watching online because we still had to click that we were there!! Again, terrible customer experience and no one in the store knew much of anything. Only reason it got 2 stars was because I love the products.

I had an online order that I needed to pick up, but it said it was not available until Monday. I work during the week so it would have been very hard to pick it up. I went to the store on Sunday and Brian was very helpful with making it so that I could pick it up on Sunday. Thank you!

As someone that works in customer service, I expect to be treated the same way I treat people. I checked in to curbside and hadn’t heard anything for 10 minutes so I decided to call. Eric answered the phone and, with an attitude, told me my order was taken care of. I waited an additional 20 minutes and nothing. I went inside to find out that my order couldn’t be fulfilled because two of the items were not in stock. Guess Eric didn’t really check on that. (A little back story: I left work early to rush to get to the location on time). When I asked why no one told me prior to arriving that my order was unavailable I was told that their protocol was to pull items when customers were “on their way”. Word of advice, that doesn’t work. Orders should be pulled at a minimum of 2 hours prior to pickup time to ensure these items are available and customers do not waste a trip. When I talked to the manager she tried to argue with me which is incredibly unprofessional. Love the products but I think it’s safe to say that if you want people to pay a premium price for products they should be treated with premium customer service.

Love their unique storage options, although they can be pricey.

I find myself spending a lot of time in The Container Store picking up items to help stage clients homes that are going on the market to be sold. This time, I allowed myself to purchase a few items to add to the One O.A.K. Real Estate office. This place NEVER disappoints. Their selection is phenomenal and the employees are very helpful. I look forward to staging clients homes because theres so many options and different combinations to choose from.

It was my first experience in The Container Store but it wasnt my last, Ive already made more purchases since then. Id say the customer service was beyond exceptional and clearly the highlight of my experience. Jessica B. and Claire were both amazing.

Super disorganized which is ironic. Placed an online order for a quick pick up only to stand around for 30 min before getting the order that was missing items. Then stood around for another 15 min. Then they said the item is not in stock. Stood around for another 10 waiting for a refund. No manager in sight...Not sure who is running the show but could use a refresher on customer service and operations.

When I need clear containers for art projects I always find what I want here.The staff are always friendly and helpful!

I’ve been standing in line for 15 minutes and still have 3 people ahead of me.At this bay of 6 registers, only one is open. But there are a good dozen employees wandering the aisles adjusting stacks of products.This is not a COVID-safe way to conduct business. Masks are helpful in reducing virus spread, but they’re not perfect. Forcing your customers to stay in-store much longer than necessary is not safe - for them and for your employees.

Purchases can add up rather quickly to take an organizational idea and make it happen. But they got just what you need for pretty much any organizational needs.

No one answers the phone at this location… Items are back ordered for months! No point ordering… Because they keep pushing the delivery date… And when you go to pick it up they say sorry here is a refund you didn’t come in time.. so we sold the items! What about the three months that we waited?

Very unorganized. The sign at counter says order pickup, no need to wait in line. After waiting several minutes without any assistance, I confirmed if I was in correct place. The associates had no idea. Maybe the associates should be more educated on the order pick up process.

No one picks up the phone at this location, it says curbside pick up… But how do you notify the store that you were outside but nobody’s picking up the phone! Ordered an item in June… Went to the store to realize it was on back order… Nobody care to notify that the item was on back order… Very unprofessional!

Horrible experience. The staff were all dismissive and rude.After standing in line, they took my items, up sold me on additional items, once I agreed to buy the additional items they sent me on a wild goose chase to find the items. After 20 minutes of waiting for help, I finally got the items only to be told that I have to go back through the line again behind 20 people - just to do what I already stood in line to do originally. Had I not let the salesperson sell me on additional items I wouldn’t have left the register. I asked why I had to go through the line again when I already did and the lady said “we just can’t help you unless your body is in line again.”I decided to just leave. I’ve never had such an awful experience at this store. Looks like everyone was having a poor customer service day.

Nice, clean, well organized. However, the selection for what we needed was small and other things were overpriced. We got the perfect sized storage containers from Lowes for a fraction of the price.

Would move to give a higher rating since the store is normally great. However i bought some items online, listed as “in stock” . I got to the store and they notified me that only one of the 3 items was ready and that they made a mistake. They told me to go back by Tuesday, it has been a week since Tuesday and still no information about the item. I have called daily to check on it but have been left on hold for more than 40 minutes without answer.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! Ordered a Curbside pick up, which they didnt have ready at the given time. Ive been trying to get a refund for 3 weeks now, they finally respond to a Facebook message (because they dont pick up the phone), but they are refunding me less than what I paid, $43 less than what I paid, and of course, they dont respond to any message or phone call.

I gave this location a 2 simply because I really like the products they offer; otherwise, it would be a 1. However, I’m extremely disappointed that my husband and I met with a closet consultant last Tuesday and never heard back. We provided him with a mock drawing of our closet and he created us a rendering along with a quote. He said that he would email us the rendering and quote within 2 days, which would have been by Thursday, 10/24. When I did not hear back from him, I called the store. The lady who answered said that she was not certain where the consultant was but offered to have someone else in the department to call me. I provided my contact information. It’s now been over a week and neither the original nor another consultant have reached out to me. As a result, my husband and I plan to find a different company to redesign our master closet. Follow up is very important. This is horrible customer service and now it resulted in them losing about $15k in sales!

This is one of the most efficiently run stores in Houston. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. On this visit I needed travel gear and they had one thing that was quite helpful for hauling back items I was going to purchase while traveling. Ive also used them to put storage in my laundry room and master bedroom closet. They have always been courteous and professional

Just had a curbside pickup at Houston Galleria. I called and let the phone ring for about 15 minutes to tell someone I was waiting but no one at the Container Store would answer the phone. Finally a man walked out and I gave him my order number. He very rudely told me I was early and my order probably want ready although I just received an email an hour earlier saying it was . Finally he appeared with my order but would not open the tailgate of my car to put my order in (the car was unlocked and I was sitting in it). I had to get out of my car and lift the tailgate because he would not open it. Then he loaded my order and I had to get out of my car a SECOND time to close the tailgate. (Yes, I am over the age of 65). I suppose the job is too complicated for him or maybe no one explained his job description to him. The customer in front of me had the same problem and actually had to put on his mask and go inside the store to get someone to do the curbside pickup. Needless to say, I wont be shopping at the Container Store again due to the rude, arrogant, and incompetent curbside pickup service.

Lots of options for home organizing items. Easy parking, friendly staff. However, unless you have very specific needs, items tend to be overpriced.

Seriously one of my favorite places. Need to organize anything? Or even simply get ideas for how you can organize any spaces in your home??? Go spend an hour here. It’s amazing.

As you can probably Imagine The Container Store is a store for of all of your storage and organizational needs. Not too exciting but has everything that you need. But you probably cant imagine is how awesome The Container Store actually is and how seemingly endless their selection of stuff for managing your stuff is. They have everything you could need for your home or office storage organization and more more more more! Really the store is awesome. Its full of lots of conventional storage items and lots of really innovative and cool stuff too. We went in for some craft organization and spent a good hour and a half browsing around, shopping and planning other projects that we didnt even know we needed supplies for until we got to The Container Store. Definitely want to go there with an hour to spend and it wouldnt hurt to go with a couple bucks to spend either! Really fun store.

The click and pickup service is a joke! Two different associates had to call back to the stock room to get an item brought up to the front. You are better off going into the store finding what you want, stopping in the bathroom, maybe taking another lap around the store and then waiting in the checkout line for 15 mins. That would have been faster than their click and pickup service.

I love being organized so I love this store! This store has an excellent range in products and customer service. Location is in prime area of the Uptown/Galleria area. Cashier Michelle was very friendly and extremely helpful. Five Stars.

Crazy place to get everything contained and organized, I buy most of my stuff here although its somehow over priced, its good to be signed as a member to get special offers.Most people who work here are generally older than the typical millennial with a temporary retail job, much nicer and patient, better service.Huge parking lot that gets impossible on weekends.

Its a good store for home decor. Some items are priced unnecessarily high. Majority of items are priced well and are of really good quality. You will often find new items and ideas in this store.

Good selection and friendly staff. Due to the amount of windows the store tends to have a lot of natural light. Its a Container Store, so its naturally pretty tidy. Prices can feel a little high, but most of the items are niche so it feels appropriate.

I used to love this store and especially the very helpful sales people, who always asked if they could help and who always had a nice comment or compliment on their lips.When I visited today it was just hectic, and chaotic in the store. I was obviously looking for some things but know one seemed to care. And know one was available to ask.Only the lady at the register was cheerful and friendly as usual.

All my organization dreams in one store! Polite employees, knowledgeable help when I need it, and incredibly useful gadgets make this a go to store for working out problem areas in my home. 5 stars!

You can pretty much find anything you need from hangers and storage containers to travel supplies and wrapping paper. They have wonderful Christmas wrapping selections. I always find things I didnt know I needed! Some of the products are designed specifically for The Container Store and therefore may be better made (and more expensive) than what looks like the same item elsewhere. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the this store is located on a very busy corner, so be prepared to fight traffic. Occasionally parking spots are hard to come by.

Of course the store was organized and clean. There also was plenty of staff around the store ready to help with whatever you may need.

I love the container store and this one is a great place to shop. Theres usually a wait in the line and one employee is extremely insistent about signing me up for rewards any time shes at the register but all in all its a happy place to shop.

Always a fun place to stop in and look around. I purchased a book shelf the other day and it had to be ordered. Checkout process was painless and everyone was very friendly and made sure I got the correct shelving I was looking for. I got a text a few days later saying my order is ready for pickup. I did the side curb pickup and within minutes they were out there with it.

Don’t go there in the evenings on a motorcycle! I came here on a motorcycle and the parking lot security guard immediately followed me around in a car while I was looking for a place to park. When I pulled up to read the sign “Take Out Only” he immediately asked me to leave and not park there. I guess he assumed that being on a motorcycle, I cannot have take out. But I was just reading the sign and the fine print underneath since the sign was not there before. I then went to another parking space where I was told by the security officer that 4 motorcycles have to park in one space. The lot was 1/3 empty and there were many spaces around. I was also told that I could not back in and must pull into the space. During all this, some guy even came out and told me he was the owner of the property and that if I don’t like the rules, I can leave. I was fed up by this time and just left. I think the property owner just do not want business from anyone that rides a motorcycle. I often visit this business along with other shops and restaurants on this property but will unfortunately take my business elsewhere because of this incident.

The quality of the products is superb. Staff are excellent in assistance and knowledge. The only drawback are the prices. Even with a sale items are expensive. However, you get what you pay for.

I love this store, its a toy store for grown-ups. We have created a wonderful decoration across the top of a large wall unit by wrapping fake presents using the Wrapping Wonderland which are then placed on top. They even have John who demonstrates wrapping techniques.They also carry the Sistema Food Storage line which has resulted in a much better use of refrigerator space.And every year I find something in the Stocking Stuffer display that has simplified my life.

I worked with Monica to redesign existing closets at our new house. Monica was extremely knowledgeable and patient. The designs turned out great!

The Elfa custom closet sale is a HUGE disappointment. Here are the problems with the sales process.1) The final price DOES not include installation.2) You cant pay for the installation in the store. Installation is done by private vendors who work for the Container Store and you have to pay them directly. I was told to make the installation fee check payable to The Container Store. Not true. Payment is made to a totally different company. Youre left with the feeling theres something fishy about the whole Container Store/Installer relationship.3) Installation fee quoted DOES NOT include tax. An extra fee the sales rep conveniently forgot to mention.In the end, I felt like Id been had by a slick used car sales team. I would highly recommend you check out other closet space design companies before purchasing this product and the installers from the Container Store. The 30% savings feels more like a 10% savings when all is said and done.

Items are a bit overpriced, but other than that, the store is clean and very well organized. You can find everything from trash cans, to clothes hampers, coat hangers, kitchenwares, office furniture, a whole lot more than just containers. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Restrooms were well maintained and check out was quick.
