I really like this guitar store a lot! Id just bought a very pristine 1999 Epiphone in a private sale but the action was jacked. Randy took good care of the issue for a nominal cost and left me very happy. I almost considered going to that big chain guitar store for this work but thought, wait, lets see if any mom and pop shops are around me. Sure enough, and with excellent reviews, so I went off the chain and very glad I did. Randys a great guy and Ill tell you, there are some really beautiful instruments there. Ill definitely be back and Ive no desire to visit any big chain stores in the future. Its Infinity, but not beyond ;) Thanks, Randy and see you soon!
The guitar instructor (Glen Ackerman) is excellent and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The store itself carries fine guitars and equipment for the novice and the pros.
This was my first purchase from Infinity Guitars and it wont be my last. Randy was willing to work with my on price and delivers exactly what is advertised. The guitar was purchased from out of state, but Infinity guitars packaged the instrument really well and it arrived quickly via FedEX and without a problem. Thank you.
Randy is very knowledgeable and gets it done fast. I brought my Gibson Les Paul in for a setup and a nut replacement and he had it completed in two days. Some places would take weeks to even months (they know who they are) to get your guitar back to you. The guitar plays and sounds like a different instrument. Action is low and comfortable and intonation is excellent. Such a joy to play my guitar when it feels and sounds like this. Thanks Randy!
Went in to check out a specific guitar and left as a happy customer. Randy is friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely go back, and I’m glad the shop is now on my radar for the next time I’m in the area.
Ignore every bad review. I brought in a strat I picked up and within 15 minutes the owner had it setup and playable. I’m not going to say how much he charged, only that he could have easily charged much much more and I wouldn’t have been surprised. This guy cares about guitars.Edit: I brought my favorite guitar in to have the wiring fixed and the pickup changed, and my guitar has never sounded or played better. Thank you so much Randy!
Went window shopping in this place today and will say to anyone looking for guitars, this place is great.. awesome selection of all types of classic electric guitars and their acoustic prices were shockingly cheap..I sent the guitarist in my band a link for the shop because they had a rack filled with all types of guitar pedals that i want him to check out...i always prefer to buy gear from small shops over GC and places like this are bard to come by nowadays!
A very dishonest seller. The site had an offer to sell a guitar. A few days ago we agreed with the seller that today, on Friday, we will come from another city to buy. We asked to hold the guitar until our arrival. And the seller promised to wait for us. However, today, when we arrived at the store, the seller only said sorry. The guitar is sold. Hope this sale will make you more happy !!Addition to the sellers response.Yes, it was me, at whose request my friend called you on Monday. And you reached an agreement with him on the deal. But no one said anything about any Deposit. I live in another country. And it took me three days to transfer the entire amount to my friend. If we were told about the Deposit, at least we would ask our colleagues to personally bring a few hundred dollars. But no one said. In any case, no one will return what has already been done. But business is business. And I wish you further prosperity.
Randy is a first class guy! I bought a really nice used Duesenberg in Austin in April. It had a couple minor issues and the sound was not perfect. Randy had the same model of Duesenberg in the store and after talking to him on the phone, I brought mine in to do a comparison with the one he had. We discovered that the pickup height on mine was off and he quickly made the adjustment for no charge. Now the guitar chimes beautifully! Thanks so much Randy!
My 9 year old daughter asked for a guitar for Christmas and we saw this shop and stopped in. The owner was really nice and while I dont know a lot about guitars he helped us out and got us a guitar for much less than we expected to pay. Super nice looking store also. They also do lessons which we will be using after Christmas once we give her the guitar.
I have made several purchases from Randy at Infinity Guitars over the last year, and it has been and absolute pleasure. I custom ordered a Novo guitar through him, and he was very responsive, helpful, and considerate throughout the whole process. He even helped consult with me about specifications for the guitar, as I had never custom ordered a guitar before.I may have just heard about Infinity Guitars this year, but Randy will be my go-to guy for all of my boutique gear needs. It is easy to support local businesses, when they are as good as Infinity Guitars!
Randy the owner of Infinity Guitars could teach all the guitar shops how to do business. He is honest and very knowledgeable about guitars. If you went to see amazing selection of Boutique guitars check out this great store.
Randy knows his guitars bass ukes and any and all other music related gear. Knowledgeable and honest from boutique to beginner gear and great teachers and lessons. Does an awesome setup for guitars especially. Always enjoy my time here!
Gave me great advice regarding getting my young niece started playing guitar, recommended strings over the phone and helped me pick something out in the store. Ive also had work done by the owner a few years ago and he does great work on guitars at very fair and reasonable prices. I Used to only go to him when I was in high school, now that I started playing in my 30s again hes going to be the only shop I go to. Very helpful, nice and the store has great selection of amps and guitars from getting started to more expert. The prices are reasonable and theres something to fit most anyones needs.Recommended for the beginner to the expert, he helped me pick good equipment in my late teens on a budget. helped me pick out the next level equipment a few years later and is now helping me pick things out for my niece. You wont get service like this anywhere else, very knowledgeable.
5 Star Guitar store for sure! Some of the most insightful music lovers around. They know the right kind of questions to ask when you are looking for a particular sound and a particular guitar feel. The store owner even took the time to walk me around the store and showed me what they specialize in! You can tell they travel the world looking for the best and brought it home to Houston!! I will never go to another guitar store and feel like I have an edge when it comes to the instrument I play. Thanks Infinity!
Brought in my Martin for a setup since the action was very high which made it difficult to play. After Randy worked his guitar magic, the difference is like night and day. Randy finished the setup within 2 hours and it was fairly priced in comparison to other shops in town.In addition to his repair work, his shop is lined with a wide variety of guitars, from acoustics to a bunch of custom electrics. If you need maintenance on your guitar or if youre looking for a custom guitar, go visit his store now! Thanks once again Randy!
Awesome 👏 store!!
This place is the best. Not only do they have the nicest, rarest, coolest handmade guitars in the city, but Randy is an amazingly nice guy who knows the value of a satisfied customer. He will do you right.
An amazing store, run by an amazing, knowledgeable and ultra-fair owner! Great, GREAT source of custom boutique guitar brands, a radiantly perfect Fatback example of which I purchased here! A dream shop for any guitarist chasing that elusive perfect tone!
I took my guitar the day before new years. I needed a battery fix and a set up. I was only charged $5 for the repair. Randy fixed and set up my guitar very well a few days later. I came back a few days later because I needed to replace a amp cord. He told me which ones where the best, second best, ect. Very good shop, very good guitar care. Worth the drive if your far.
Awesome boutique guitar shop. Best in Houston!
Randy at Infinity Guitars once gain came through by helping me adjust a JT580LP Tremolo on my Jackson RR3 Rhoads V. Randy studied various different Floyd Rose Tremolo diagrams and was able to get back with me and assist me in getting my fine tuners to work in tandem with my saddles in a more functional manner. What can I say Randy is a Guitar Guru when it comes to guitar set ups, electronics guitar wiring, guitars, amplification and speaker knowledge a little of everything. Also if Randy can do the job, hell tell U straight up! with no BS and with honesty which is the best policy. Hes a Jack of All Trades Master of None! So all U Guitar Shredders out there in West Houston! need some fine tune adjusting and set up on YR good old Floyd Rose Tremolo System. Try out Infinity Guitars the Place! where you will get that good old fashioned home grown & honest service. Theres even a comfortable couch @ Infinity where you can sit and watch while you watch Randy the Guitar Guru @ work on your Axe! What else could U ask for?
Great price and customer service for guitars.
AMAZING GUITAR SHOP. STAFF IS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THIS IS MY ONE STOP SHOP FOR GUITAR NEEDS!!
Visited IG today and I got the impression the owner was not interested in selling me a bass guitar, or anything else. The service was tepid at best, and snobbish at most. I wanted to buy a beginner bass from the store and drove about 30mi to do just that because of the great reviews. If you want a great beginner bass guitar visit Guitar Center on I-10 Katy, TX. Picked up a nice Ibanez SR370 Bass Guitar, an AMPEQ amp, Road Runner - Avenue Series bag, MUSCIANS GEAR 20 ft cable, and two guitar stands for $550.00 along with FANTASTIC SERVICE, plus veterans discount! If you want an excellent experience GUITAR CENTER, if you like BS head over to the IG BOUTIQUE.
Lets keep this simple folks:Infinity Guitars IS a store you should check out ...... whether it be for guitar purchases, maintenance, or repairs ...Infinity Guitars owner, Randy Lutz, has a true passion for the artistry and allure of the variety of acoustic and electric stringed instruments -- AKA -- GUITARS!This passion can be quickly observed by the way in which Randy conducts business in a relaxed yet professional manner. Both new, used, and truly vintage collectors guitars can be found in all price ranges from very inexpensive to ... well, after all, some of the guitars are collectors items!Plus, guitar accessories are also available for purchase at reasonable prices.Furthermore, if you are looking for guitar lessons or guitar setups, Infinity Guitars has that covered as well. Finally, just to provide full disclosure, my first visit to Infinity Guitars was simply for a drop-off and full setup of a new Floyd Rose Bridge Guitar.Even though the full setup (especially for a Floating Bridge) is a bit more complicated than a hardtail bridge -- the setup was still completed quickly, professionally, properly, and at a very fair price.Based on my experience and observations, I can wholeheartedly and emphatically recommend supporting this privately owned and operated business for ANY of your guitar related needs!
Great store and most importantly, great people. I just started classes and they are awesome.
Randy sets up guitars to play like butter!!!
Infinity is a great guitar shop.. With some real nice high end guitats, along with some out the door bargains as well... Randy the owner does on site repairs & setups.. He has often installed mod pickups in my main guitars along wiith trust rod adjustments on the fly..I hate changing strings, so I often drop off my instruments just for string changes, on my Basses & Guitars w/both Kahler & Floyd Rose, its a nice comfort to me, having a Luthier eye changing out strings..
Bought my first guitar from here and was highly satisfied with the service and the knowledge Randy shared I am also highly satisfied with my Alvarez acoustic guitar I highly recommend this store for anyone looking for a guitar
