I usually get my Argon canister swapped out here, usually once or twice a year and its pretty straight forward. Went today in a pinch and was told they had no Argon and didnt know when they would have more. Will have to try some other places tomorrow I guess.
Great place to get your welding gas supply. The deliver and have trade in bottles as well. You can purchase new tanks, welding machines, welding parts and accessories, and general gases like Nitrogen.
They are the gas supplier for our business - good people, good prices. No complaints!
Two months ago i brought a new 5lb tank to get filled. The sales guy told that i should have bought it there because it would have been cheaper. So two day ago they quoted me over the phone for 5lb CO2 tank and said they had then in stock. Today i go into the store to buy it and i was told that they didnt sell those tanks.Someone is either lying, incompetent, or both.
Went to get my ARGON bottle swapped like I have been for the last 8 years and they wouldnt sell it to me because I was in an SUV (same one Ive always took). Now oxygen I understand but non flammable Argon? The guy seemed like he didnt want to work and I asked him for delivery options And still didnt want to help me. He even went as far as telling me to go to his competitor! I hope Matheson reads this and talks to employees about sending customers elsewhere. Unacceptable, I will never go back.
Overall, fast and easy place to buy my gasses for welding. Little pricey, but the guy agreed to keep a few cylinders of less common mixes for me so that I could swap them quickly without waiting for a refill.
Called and asked about renting a Helium tank. The salesman couldnt be bothered as he said Helium is out. (I know there is a shortage but needed pricing information and rental costs) Was put on hold for over 15 minutes, someone else picked up and asked who I was holding for, put back on hold to only have the salesperson say it would cost about $XX.XX price. I asked what other costs like rental, drop off, and refill, again no information other than he said it would be in the contract. I felt he didnt care whether I did business with them or not. Never asked for my number or email so he call me back when the gas came in. Will not be doing business with them.
The Houston Company is good, but they bill through the main Dallas Company and the Dallas Company has wrongly charged us for extra canisters that we do not have. You can not get ahold of anyone in Dallas even with repeated messages, they NEVER call back.. We have tried for six months, even sending certified letters and no one calls back!
Great location and super people working to make your life much easier. I just got in to welding aluminum and these guys know what I need. Thanks, Matheson!
Sent me home with the wrong fittings 3 separate times. Ive had tanks filled here for $25 before but last time I went they charged my buddy $40 which is the most I have ever heard of a tank costing. Inexperienced and incompetent staff. I go out of my way now to avoid this place. They have a poor selection of parts and are just interested in getting you out the door.
Friendly people with good service
Im a novice and the guys there have been really helpful to me.I loaded and unloaded my oxygen and acetyline tanks into the back seat of my car so idk what is up with the one star review.
Rude and difficult to work with.
They never answer the phone for Accounting!!!!
Well I learned that Matheson welding gas supplier is my nanny... I went in to fill an acetylene tank but unfortunately I drive a car... Instead of being reasonable and treating me like an adult by saying something useful like roll down your windows on the way home or your car may explode and kill you! They refused to fill my tank until I returned with a truck. So I have a tiny tank 1 foot tall that I need to fill so my wife can solder high temp stuff for her Jewellery hobby and I have to rent a truck to get this done? Bother a friend on Saturday to get this done? Yes, I understand there are risks to things like acetylene gas and oxygen in confined spaces. I am not a child.
What kind of welding supply shop doesnt sell C25 gas cylinders?
Customer service sucks.
