We had a great experience at EDS. Yard-man Davis was very helpful and showed us how to estimate quantity needed. He also helped us plan the most cost-effective delivery option.The facility was very neat and organized. Checkout with Crystal was great. I am confident the materials will arrive on time.

Today 03 11 21 I bought for the first and last time a pallet of grass and everything was cut not a piece completely and the price of $ 140 my loss was more than half a pallet of grass it was just trash

Grass came next day after I ordered. The driver even placed grass close to the fence for me and Crystal was a big help to make sure I had everything I needed and scheduling deliver. Great customer service and amazing quality grass for the price!

We have incredibly mixed feelings. We ordered mulch and soil from them back in March, and it seemed to be fine, delivery came on time, and all seemed well. We had asked about compost, and we were told that their organic compost would be perfect. We even asked if it could be used to build up our raised beds and flower beds we were building across our back fence line. Again, we were told the compost would be just the thing. We ordered 3 yards of it, and A week or two later added another 2 yards, mixed with 3 yards of garden soil. Within 3 weeks we had mushrooms springing up all over the places where we had just the compost. Not long after, the places where we had mixed compost and garden soil we also began to see these strange mushrooms popping up, But not quite as heavily as where we use just the compost originally. We had never seen these kinds of mushrooms before and they were only coming up where we had used compost. in ordered a few more yards of mixed compost and regular garden soil because it was cheaper. It didnt take long before mushroom started springing up all over the places where we had the compost. Everything that we had planted in our raised beds died almost overnight after the mushroom showed up. It was like a horrible mushroom massacre. The mushrooms stayed around several days, and then began to die off. They have stayed gone long enough that we tried replanting have had plants sprout, come up, and thrive wonderfully, but now that we have had a lot of rain, we have now had a second overnight bloom of mushrooms. These are only coming up wherever we used the compost. They are awful. Were nervous now that weve had a second crop of these mushrooms show up, that our plants are going to die again. We even tried calling EDS to ask about the mushrooms, and the guy we spoke with just said that he wasnt sure why that many mushrooms would be coming up i and that, it should be fine. Well, we dont think having these kinds of mushrooms coming up all over our garden beds is fine. Does anyone have any knowledge about this? Any advice?

I tried to obtain an estimate for some yards of material for our back yard project, somebody sent me a message telling me to go directly and ask at my nearby location, It seems that they are part of a corporation of franchises, and each of them has different prices, anyway I choose to go next door instead. Bad customer Service at EDS!

There are a few landscape and stone companies near each other and I visited 3 to find a matching stone for a walkway project. EDS was the only one who helped me and gave me advice and guided me to how to manage it. They also had a much greater selection of stone and some exotics that I could pick for accents. They advertise as a family business and everyone seemed to care about me as a customer. If you need a big selection of mulch or stone or flagstone, that is the best place to go.

Friendly staff and good competitive prices. Ive gotten topsoil from 2 other companies in the area and assumed they would all have a lot of sand and hard, unbreakable clay, until I came here and got actual topsoil that wasnt 90% sand and no hard clay at all.

We have a decent sized yard near Hobby, about 2/3 acre, with a lot of nice flower beds that we have to water all summer with a hose. Although E.D.S. is known for their stone work and landscape projects, we went to them for an irrigation/sprinkling system.They brought in a big crew, led by Edgar, which finished the project in exactly four days as forecasted. Their friendly and professional crew understood our needs, and kept our gates shut so our small dogs couldn’t get out.Details are important in projects like this, and their team did their best to minimize damage to our flowerbeds and lawn while creating a top-notch irrigation system. The provided digital controller is commercial grade, and it looks like this will save us many years of dragging a garden hose around the yard in Houston summers with second-rate sprinklers.Edgar and Taylor were very communicative throughout the process, and we are exceedingly happy with the results.*edit: corrected Edgar’s name

Stopped by today to pick up some sod. Very friendly employees. Very good price. They loaded me up. Only thing is I wouldnt bring my wife here. They have a large variety of outdoor decor.

Cannot speak highly enough about the customer service. Taylor walked us through several ideas for our yard and Crystal up front was patient and friendly. We will be seeing them again next spring!

Absolutely awful. 5 full days to deliver 3 yards of gravel 8 miles away and they still had to be called and reminded we hadn’t received. We also purchased And PAID for 30 pavers which we couldn’t fit in the suv all at once. When we came back the next day for the rest we found out they had sold them to someone else.Have called 3 straight days to see when the rest will be available and never get a straight answer or follow up call.We even tried to call the Kemah location only to be told they would check inventory and call us back. Nope, no call back. Still waiting and now my side yard is a mud pit thanks to these people. Never again. I would Rather take my chances with Home Depot and Lowe’s. Now that’s sad.Update: they now cant tell me when they will get more in and want to refund me for the missing pavers leaving me with a half done walk way. What a freaking joke this place is.

The price and helpfulness at the Dixie Farm location were great - both much better than most other landscaping suppliers I visited. But I ran into problems with delivery of the materials. They delivered a day earlier than we agreed and werent able to reach me by phone. They decided to bring the materials to my house and unload them anyway, and put a 3600lb pallet of rock right in front of my garage door. I have attempted to get them to move the rock to the location we agreed when I paid the $100 delivery fee, but they refuse. Im now stuck figuring out how to move the rock myself so that I can access my garage and avoid HOA write-ups...because EDS chose to deliver a day earlier than agreed. I would not buy from EDS again.
