Stitches in Time is a charming needlepoint shop in Rice Village near its friendly competitor, Needle House. Its owned by a seasoned needlepointer named Francis, who is happy to answer all needlepoint questions and guide novices in simple stitches--all without asking for a dime. For example, she taught me how to make a waste knot and gave me some advice on hiding threads behind my canvas, whereas other places might charge for a class, even for tiny morsels of knowledge. I had been needlepointing for over a year, having started and finished several canvases purchased in New England and Houston shops, but it wasnt until Stitches in Time that I had someone volunteer to guide me any meaningful way. I highly recommend Stitches in Time!
Frances has a really nice shop and a beautiful personality. She has the best shop going, great prices and is sooo helpful and caring.
Such a cute shop and so helpful. A little gem in the village.
Came in search of some specific thread. Felt very unwelcome and apparently they don’t cater to anything cross-stitch related. Not that I mattered much for the thread but they basically refused to talk to me after I mentioned cross-stitch. Not coming back.
