My mother went in today looking for something to purchase. Lets talk unprofessional. Two salesmen were standing near the door. My mother was greeted. And neither of them would help her. One said he was busy and the other CARL refused to help her. Therefore she walked out. WHy would CARL not help my 75yo mother......because over 10 years he dated me and apparently did not know how to react a a professional when someone from his past walked through the door.

Purchased a love seat from Howell store. Was told it was in their warehouse but would have to be sent to another warehouse first and then from that warehouse to our home. I was told two weeks which seemed ridiculously long. Waited the two weeks and nothing. Tried calling and emailing. They wouldn’t answer the phone or respond to emails. I drove in finally and was told two more weeks. That came and went. I had to drive in again only to be told by the manager that their shipment had a bunch of damage so that’s creating another backlog. On the spot, I cancelled my order. Loves is dishonest. They are not stocking furniture to keep costs down and they lack supply. Maybe this is why they are closing half of their stores already. Google it. Loves sucks. Don’t go there unless you like to be disappointed.

Nice selection of furniture and the sales person was knowledgeable about products. Shipping cost was a turn off since they are having to use 3rd party delivery service. I thought the prices were above average but all in all a pretty good experience. We really like the fact we could walk around for several minutes before being approached by salesman.

Very disappointing customer service... I understand that in these trying times supply and demand can be tricky but to have a sales rep make promises three times and could not make valid predictions of when merchandise would become available. Three times he lied to me. Three times he told me he could have my merchandise ready for pick up. After the first time, the store manager offered a free delivery. Never happened. Never received my merchandise. The second time I had to walk into the store and physically show the manager my receipt. He told me he would keep me posted and make sure that my merchandise was reserved. He never did. The third time, The same sales rep calls and tells me that hell reserve what I originally ordered one month prior and have it ready the next week. That day comes... I call the store to confirm availability. Still not in or didnt make their truck. Very unacceptable and I was as patient as I could possibly be.Like I said... I am very much aware that supply and demand of any product on the market can be tricky yet with everything going on nowadays. But these sales reps need to be more proactive on availability dates, make better judgements, and not lie to their customers. A terrible way to do business and I will never purchase any other products from this retail chain again. Sorry Loves... Three strikes and your OUT!

Ordered 11/27, still have not received mattress. Called for refund today and was told no problem by sleep specialist then when transfered to office was rudely told to take it up with my card company or customer service because theyve filled for chapter 11 bankruptcy. Currently waiting 2.5 hours for return call from their customer service. Dont buy anything you cant walk away with today!Update: when customer service finally returned my call I was informed that I needed to take it up with my card company. Fortunately Visa was able to issue refund.

My boyfriend and I tried Loves after not being able to get furniture delivered from another store. Scott, who is a manager, guaranteed us that we would not have a similar issue with them. We scheduled a delivery date no problem. The night before the delivery, we called to make sure everything was okay because no one had contacted us. They told us it was unavailable for another month. It was rescheduled for a new date. Unfortunately that date was unable to with our work schedules so we tried calling to set a new date. Both my boyfriend and I called multiple times, either speaking with someone, or leaving a message that Scott would return our call and help us out. After TWO WEEKS of him not doing so, we went up to the store and rescheduled. The new date was this week. The day of, I called because no one had contacted us yet and half the day was over. I was told they were looking into it and would return my call. Three hours went by and I had not heard anything so I tried calling again. They hadn’t made time to look at it yet. A couple more hours later my boyfriend called and spoke to Scott directly and Scott said he would call him back and let him know what was going on. He never called, and the phones weren’t being answered. We drove up there and were told that they would not be able to deliver our furniture for 2-3 more months. They were supposed to email us the following day with some options, and yet never reached out AGAIN. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. The customer service is terrible. Calls are not returned, services are not provided. I recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

We were looking for a new mattress. The salesman Rob, new his business. They are a little sneaky about the price and any deals they have advertised but they have some beautiful furniture and mattresses. We felt we got a nice mattress for a fair price. We also purchased 2 pillows which are totally awesome. We should have been able to take those with us but they didn’t have them in stock so they were supposed to bring them with our mattress. They forgot to bring them so the manager had a guy drive them over to our house one afternoon. That’s service! The delivery service is horrible! They didn’t come at the time they said they were going to come, they came hours earlier when I wasn’t home and my husband was home sick. He had to finish prepping for them in 20 minutes when I got the text message telling me that they would be here in 20 minutes. I called him and told him and he managed but we weren’t happy. Plus they got black marks on both sides of the mattress from dirty hands. I have agreed to try to let them send someone to clean the marks off the mattress. I hope they can get it clean but I am sure if they have to replace it, I won’t have any problem.

My parents ordered two beds and frames from the Howell location when they arrived one frame was the wrong size. We called 6 times in a 7 hour span because nobody there returns phone calls. We were told they had nothing in the store that they could use to get by until the replacement showed up but when my sister and I went up there all of a sudden there was a floor model base that we could take with us to use until they delivered the correct one. When the correct one was delivered it was damaged!!! When they called about it they were eventually given a new delivery date of 11/4/20. My mom called on Sunday 11/1/20 and wanted to make sure that they were on the schedule for Tuesday. The female she talked to said not to worry the frame will be there and the delivery company will call the day before to let her know what time. She never got a call on Monday and the frame didn’t show up on Tuesday. When she called the store she talked to Scott and he said he’s going to check into it and that she’s a priority. After a couple of hours he called back and said he was still working on it. Every time we’ve called up there we get the same bs line. This is so ridiculous and upsetting that they take advantage of people like they do especially the older generation. Loves should be completely ashamed of the way they treat people and will never get any business from me again.

After an excellent purchase experience in store Loves furniture has bait and switched. At the time of purchase we were told everything we were purchasing was in stock and available. Yesterday with our delivery imminent I received an automated call and email to confirm our availability to receive the entire order. The robo call was pretty rough but got the job done. The email contained an itemized list of our entire order.Today (3 hours before the delivery) someone called to tell me half of my order is no longer in stock and will be delayed 2 weeks. We made plans around the delivery date. I expected Loves too deliver on the promised date. We purchased a living and dining room set not some trinket from Amazon.Update 2020-11-16:I ended up cancelling my order with Loves Furniture. After 2 additional reschedules because the dining room set was still out of stock. They could not provide any details or specifics. (I went to one of their showrooms and they had multiple visible. One was mostly still in the box) I was happy with the cancellation process. It went smoothly without any grief.

Do not....I repeat, do not order from LOVES furniture. Still haven’t gotten our items. When I inquired on it they were incredibly rude. No one ever contacted us to say it is on back order. They even mentioned the couch doesn’t get made anymore so they don’t now if or when I will receive it. They had no problem taking my money and was even hung up on last time I called to see what is going on. Still haven’t received a refund. Pretty sure it is a scam after reading several similar reviews.

Met by a very nice woman at the door and she showed me to the right area and the sales person Freddie. He took great care of listening to my needs.While he waited on another customer, at my request, I went in the back to look at dressers. I was helped by a very nice lady by the name of Baily. All-in-all it was a very good experience! If another need comes up, I will be back. And I am not a ROBOT.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO LOVE’S. Went to Love’s to buy furniture for my father in law’s assisted living apartment. He, of course, went along as well. Prices seemed okay, and he found a few pieces he needed. We were told the loveseat would take some time to get because their stock was “still in the trucks, waiting to be moved into the warehouse.” That was fine because the reclining lift-chair, coffee table, and bed would suffice for a week or two. The night before delivery, we discover that the loveseat was never ordered (we let the salesperson deal with my father in law directly when closing the sale - mistake). Delivery day (night actually) comes but we get no furniture. Love’s contracts with a third party for delivery and they seemed to have trouble finding the place, despite it being an unmistakable assisted living facility clearly visible from the main road it’s situated on. Stopped into the store that night after not getting a call back from the store regarding the missed delivery. The disappointment led to a slightly heated conversation, upon which, another employee ignored other customers and insisted on “standing guard” over the situation. I had to explain to the manager and sales-guard that they were failing at customer service on a whole new level. We ended up making arrangements to pick-up the chair ourselves and they said they would get the bed and table to us on Monday (this all happened on a Friday night). Along comes Saturday and we’re told the delivery won’t come until Tuesday. On Tues, we pickup the chair around 2pm. The bed and table are expected after 8:30pm (way too late in my mind). When the truck arrived, they only had a table. Apparently, the bed was now on back order. We refused the table and cancelled the rest of the order. I can’t even begin to express the disappointment, frustration, and total dissatisfaction with Love’s. Their (yes, I place all the blame on them because they chose to partner with the delivery service) incompetence caused a significant amount of cost in terms of the time we wasted dealing with this company.

Worst experience ever!!! Ordered bedroom suite and was told it would be delivered the next week. They delivered half of the bed and nightstand and said the rest would come in 2 weeks. We called in 2 weeks and they said it would be another 2 weeks. Called again and they said it would be 3 months but we could come in and choose another set that was immediately available. We did and it was to be delivered on the following Tuesday. They came on Tuesday with just a nightstand. We sent everything back. The only good thing is that they returned our money within a few days.

Bought a bedroom set and they never placed our bed on the truck. That was yesterday and today we Literally can not get ahold of anyone. When you call the store no one answers you have to leave a message. Worst customer service ever! I just want to return everything I bought and go elsewhere. I do not recommend this store.

If I could give zero stars I would. The chair we ordered didnt come with the proper hardware to attach the legs, the ottoman we ordered was the wrong color, we have been trying to resolve the issue with the store and they just dont contact us back. Terrible.EDIT: Just to let everyone know I did reach out to Customer Service at Loves before I posted this and was told all they could do is direct me to the store. So their response below does nothing.

We went into the Howell store and was told the couch we purchased was in stock at the warehouse. After 2 weeks I called to pick the couch up and was informed that there are 160 customers in front of us. I understand it’s hard to get inventory during the pandemic, but being lied to was not great.

Don’t buy furniture from Loves, we placed an order on 9/29/20 and was told furniture was in stock and we still don’t have furniture. Was just told yesterday it would be delivered today and when we didn’t get a call this morning with the delivery window called the store and was told today that it wouldn’t be delivered now until 11/27 as if they didn’t know that yesterday and if we didn’t call we would of been waiting all day. I would give zero stars if that was an option. They are too busy trying to consolidate warehouses instead of prioritizing getting sold furniture delivered.

I went to Love’s Furniture store today in Howell and was given a price on a chair and told the salesperson I would be back to purchase it in a couple of hours (had stuff in my car that needed to be refrigerated) when I went back to purchase the chair the price was doubled from what he originally told me. I spoke with a manager and all she could say was “ sorry”. Any good trustworthy store would appreciate their customers and would work at solving the issue instead of saying sorry...so disappointed. If I could give negative stars I would.I did what you said in your response but never heard back from you. Once again disappointing.

Was told that they had stock of the couch I bought and was given 12/9 as a delivery date. 12/9 comes no couch., No call as to why, literally had to wait two days to get a call back that its on back order. Maybe it will be in by the end of the month, but maybe not they dont know. Theyre very sorry that no one called to let me know that it was on backorder and I shouldnt have taken Personal day at work to wait for the delivery people. Not impressed with their business practices and will happily share with anyone who will listen why they should never buy from Loves furniture

I havent been shopping at big lot since the start of covid. Everythings still the same. Lots of choices on all health and beauty. A bottle of vitamins Cs 150 chewy was 9 .00 . A bottle of vitamins Ds 150 was 9.00 too. I went to Krogers and got 90 vitamins Cs for 14.00

We visited the Howell, MI location. Salesperson was very helpful and friendly, and we ended up ordering a sectional sofa. Our salesperson assured us that they had the couches in stock, and they would be able to deliver on 11/23.Fast forward to 11/22, we hadn’t heard anything from Loves on the delivery time of the couch, so we decided to call and ask if they could provide an update. After waiting over an hour to speak with a representative, she informed us that the couch is now back ordered, and they might receive more on December 14th. As we were planning to move a new couch in, we got rid of both of our old couches this week, so we’re now stuck with no furniture for over 3 weeks!It was so much of a hassle and disappointment that we ended up cancelling the order. The lack of communication or updates put us in a terrible position, and we won’t be shopping at loves ever again. I understand with the ongoing COVID situation, there’s issues with companies’ supply chains, however, there is no excuse for why we were never informed of their shortages. Overall, very disappointing experience.

We had been shopping recliners the previous day, and found the winner at Loves (Between Brighton and Howell). Super comfortable chair. My son purchased a mattress and foundation on Dec 26 with jan 4 delivery date then chaged to jan 20th assuring all ok. Jan 19th received a call Loves filed bankruptcy he will not be getting the mattress or his 1200 back suggest call your credit card co which he did as of today no money back. The store in howell will not help him yet are still open taking peoples money.with the stress of Covid going on we dont need to be cheated by this company . Please listen to these reviews save yourself from the financial stress they cause their customers . The thing that really gets me is they have the matress just give it to him

The worst company I ever tried to buy a mattress from. Very unorganized no one could give me the same answer on when my mattress would be available for pickup. I was given a pick up date at time of purchase. When I showed up to pickup mattress merchandise was not there the sales man gave me a later date for pick up and while talking with him I received a call giving me a different date farther out then gave m while still in the store from taking with sales member. At which point I called Sleep Check store that is located right next door store has just closed but the sales associate from Sleep Check still worked with me even though it was after hours. Sleep Check had the exact mattress I was purchasing from Loves but $500.00 cheaper. Sleep Check even delivered the mattress even though he was getting ready to go home since the store had closed for the day.

If you read through the recent reviews, you will see multiple instances of salespeople confirming items in stock, scheduling delivery and delivery either not happening, arriving incomplete or arriving broken.We shopped in Howell, MI in mid October. We were given a Nov 6 delivery date. Because they do not remove old furniture, we disposed of or moved everything in preparation. JB Hunt, the delivery contractor, arrived with 6 chairs and a broken table. Our order also included (but it wasn’t on the truck) : leather sofa and loveseat, coffee and end tables, tv console.We eventually got the sofa and loveseat. As of today, nothing else even has a date. Of course, the items we ordered are sitting on the showroom floor, but we can’t have them.Communication has been spotty at best and driven by my husband, not Love’s. Company replies to these reviews notwithstanding, actions indicate a lack of interest in customers once they have paid.As a side note, we all understand the massive supply chain issues. Every company is experiencing them. My issue is with the total lack of accountability and attempt to fulfill their side of our transaction. I have a feeling that if the furniture had been delivered and I somehow kept avoiding payment, Love’s would be much more efficient.We will absolutely not do business with this $$ focused store again.

Had some furniture I liked. Bought it, was told it would be about 3 weeks ( but said they had to say that because they couldn’t rely on their 3rd party delivery service) but could be earlier, it was not, closer to 4 weeks. When the furniture came in it only had 3 of my 5 pieces, waited another 1.5-2 weeks for the next items. They called me at 6:45 to come get it when the close at 7.... I live close by and was able to get it but they had zero loading dock help so I did their jobs. The boxes looked mangled but the previous items did as well so I took them. Got the two pieces home, opened them up and they were damaged. Called the next day to get it corrected. Another week of waiting and they schedule a delivery on Saturday from 12:30-3:30, I confirm, 3:30 on Saturday comes with no delivery. I make the call, a lady says she’ll either call me back later or on Monday, neither happens. I call them on Tuesday only to be told the two items to complete my bedroom set were in backorder until January!!! I say that’s unacceptable and she suggest I pick two different pieces, you know to mismatch my brand new set. I let her know that this not ok. I’d be willing to pick a different set at the same price, she’s says I’d have to pay the difference is price. I ask her to return my whole order. 45 mins if waiting on the phone later, she couldn’t even process a return. They’ll call me conveniently tomorrow morning at 9am while I’m at work!Loves, this was a joke from start to finish. A few times it was mentioned that you wanted to improve upon Art Vans model, well one thing you’d better copy is how to file bankruptcy!

This was the worst furniture experience Ive ever had. We order a couch in October and we still are waiting to get confirmation of the couch even being in the warehouse. We have already been charged for a couch we dont have and dont even plan on possibly getting for another month or maybe more! They never answer the phones so we cant get updates on this nightmare. Classic bait and switch BS.Based on the latest reviews, there appears to be a trending theme with Love’s.Had a couch picked out and paid in full. Told us they had 20+ available in stock, and it would be delivered in 4 days. On the 3rd day, we were called and told “We have no idea when your couch will be delivered....” that’s it.From we have several available — to you won’t get your couch tomorrow, and we have no coherent clue as to when you’ll even get it....

Most dishonest company I have ever done business with ! Still getting the run around on a Christmas gift ( sofa ) that was to be delivered on 12/8, then 12/22, then12/29, now allegedly on 1/4 . Claiming items are instock when they aren’t is illegal yet here we are . Managers do not call you back when promised
