In my OPINION this place is a joke. They want to total a car that is able to drive fine. The parts would be $500 to fix the front end. Go somewhere else with your business. We had to drive 30 miles home in that car. It drove fine. Sad place. Dont waste your time.
The entire process was quick and painless- So much faster then previous experiences with other dealerships, and they were able to get me approved even though my credit isnt the best.Roger was great to work with! I have taken my car to this dealership twice for service. The first time Aug 2020 my overall experience was good. Communication was great, problem was fixed, received loaner while work was performed per my extended warranty. The only issue was additional rattling in front end after they put in new engine.I returned for second service issue March 2021 and I was very unhappy with service. Everything seemed rushed to avoid giving a loaner. I was told it would take a few days to get parts and do the work at the end of first day they had the car so I called back and said I would need a loaner by end of second day and was told no problem. The next day they called and said car was done. I asked if they had done the oil change requested as well as the engine light issue and noise when turning wheel and he seemed unaware that an oil change was requested even though I had entered that info on both the online appointment request and again on envelope for after hours drop off. The oil change was done by the time I picked up car 40 minutes later but I don’t think it was the “works” level since they charged me less than the cost with the coupon. The engine light problem was fixed, issue with noise while turning wheels not fixed and rattling noise from previous service not addressed either. Power steering part replaced did not fix noise while turning which they would have known if they test drove the car after completing service so I am quite disappointed in the service received from this dealership. I have received much better service at both the Brighton and New Hudson Ford dealerships and would recommend either of those dealerships over Bob Maxey in Howell.
Bought a used Ford Fusion from here. Roger Phillips was my salesman and he did a TERRIFIC job! He was knowledgeable, a good communicator, quick to return calls, addressed all my concerns, and made sure my car was squeaky-clean inside and out upon delivery. If there were zero stars that would be more appropriate. First let me disclose that have been a long standing customer of Box Maxey. The last two trucks I have taken in, they have significantly under valued. Most recently I presented them with a 2014 F150 Raptor with 29,000 miles, garage kept and has never seen the snow. The price they gave me was absolutely ridiculous! Seven days later, I traded it in at Suburban Ford in Waterford for more than $11,000 more, and the negotiation took less than 10 minutes. Buyer beware this place would rob their own mother. Needless to say I will miss my sales associate but the management should be ashamed of itself. Looks like I have a new dealership to call home now.
I purchased a brand new car here in January of 2021 and 5 months later it needed a transmission. When I received my car back it was dirty, had physical damage and was not fixed. Explained this to Scott and the owner and nobody would accept any responsibility for the condition of my car. The mechanic who worked on my car broke something else causing my coolant to leak. Sent me home anyway and never said a word. Nobody could explain to me why my steering wheel was replaced why my backseat was removed / replaced, how the physical damage was done. Also my car was sent back with chunks of tar on the wheel,No alignment was done. Very poor service I don’t recommend this place at all. I have notified Ford customer care regarding all of these issues. Make sure you take pictures of your car if you use this place but do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Edit: after talking with the service manager, I felt he would take the feedback and actually do something with it so I added 2 stars... the experience was 1 star at the most, understanding and owning the problem gives the service manager 5 starsWorst experience Ive had with a service department.... set up an appointment, dropped it off a day early, and they didnt look at it for 3 days. Told me they had the parts then told me they had to order the parts, then took an extra day fixing it (should have been a couple hour fix). Then the service advisor was rude when I came in to pick it up because he didnt call me to tell me it was done yet. I wont be returning for vehicles or for service.
I called this dealership interested in a used GMC Sierra. As soon as I inquired about the truck, the salesman seemed like he wanted to sell me a different vehicle. He said that he was unsure if the truck was available, but he assured me that if it was not then he would have something I would like. He then took down my information and wanted me to come in for a test drive the next day, and told me hed call me later that evening or the next day to let me know whether the truck was available. He told me 3:00 on the phone so I informed my work that I needed to be done by 3:00. Long story short, I never heard from him and missed out on jobs at work (I work on commission). Dont car salesman work on commission as well? Kind of hard to make money when you ghost your customers. Wont be calling or buying a truck from this dealership...not that I would buy a Ford anyways.

Do Not Bring Your Car Here For ServiceI brought my 2016 Fusion to Bob Maxey due to having transmission issues. I was informed by Bret that my transmission needed to be rebuilt, the repair was over $4,000 to rebuild the transmission. Before the repairs were performed I asked about a trade in for the car as-is since I will be buying a new F-150 this year. I was informed that were not interested in my car since I have high mileage on it. Gave the go ahead for the repair. After the repairs I heard a rattling noise coming from under the engine. Opened the hood and found this solid metal hockey puck with two screws in it, see picture, laying in the engine compartment. Also seen oil/grease on the car frame. Brought the car back and was informed the solid metal piece was a weight for the transmission that was not re-installed. They then informed me that the 1/2 shaft was damaged during the transmission repair. The weight was re-installed and they put a new 1/2 shaft in. Was informed the repair was complete and the rattling noise was gone. Nope, the ratting noise was still there. I found a broken double end stud, see picture, laying on the shield below the engine. Brought the car back to Bob Maxey again, informed them of the broken stud and the rattling noise. This time I was informed they replaced the stud and also found a loose nut on the cradle, it wasnt retightened during the initial transmission repair. I asked about compensation for my inconveniences and troubles. I stated the repairs were not performed correctly the first time and there were broken and loose fasteners on the cradle, the response, well the car does have 140,000 miles on it but they would give me a free oil change. No thanks, I will never step foot in that dealership again.
I went to another local Ford dealer looking for a preowned Ford Escape and was handed 2 printouts. I headed to Bob Maxey Ford and was met by Roger Phillips. I came with a list of cars to check out. He spent over an hour researching available cars with me. He ended up finding me the perfect car. It was at another dealer so he arranged to have it brought to Howell. He had the paperwork done in a few hours and had the car delivered to my house the next day. He genuinely cared about finding me the right car. I can’t thank him enough for the time and consideration he gave me. I will never shop at another dealer!

Looking for a car could be very overwhelming. Dealing with some sales people could be hard some times but my experience at Bob Maxey was completely different. Ever since I called over the phone I could sense they were willing to work with me and help me find the best option. I already had a Ford car from a different dealership and I am SO glad I gave Bob Maxey a chance. They even send us a letter a couple of weeks after we got the car to make sure we were happy with our purchase, you can tell they really care about their clients. I 100% recommend William Andrews, but all the team seemed very friendly.
I own a 2015 Mustang. I waited for years to buy the car of dreams. Bob Maxey in Howell did nothing to help me buy this car I had to go to a different dealer to get my dream car. I thought maybe the service department would be different, but its not. They have worked on the backup camera no less that 4 times. 1st time the camera went blank they patched together some wires and use tape to cover the splice. Then the camera fell out of the truck lid, then it went blank again, this time they installed a new wiring harness, then same issue, back to the tape fix. Now the camera is acting up again and the service department wants to charge me to even look at it. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK AND THEIR WORK IS POOR AT BEST. My advice find a different dealer.DanI am sorry it took me over a month to reply.you are correct you did replace the wiring harness at about 40,000 miles. What you are not saying is that after the harness was replaced the camera broke again. Then when it was repaired it looked very poor (see picture below on the left). the one with the tape and the very tight harness. after some solo research and conversations with some Ford engineers this harness has a spot that breaks because of the tight bend at the edge of the trunk opening. Now check out my repair (picture on the right). cost me a total of $30 and 3 hours of my time. I found 1 bad splice held together with tape (assuming not part of the newer wiring harness). this was the ground wire, and 2 weak areas near the edge of the trunk. i soldered the ground wire back together and used shirk wrap to insulate it. I then added in some longer wire to fix the tight corner. now the wires are not taunt and this repair should last according to the Ford engineers i consulted. This is the quality i expect form any Ford service department. I am sorry that we do not see this the same way. Have a nice day.
The service was quick and painless. Jim Geoghegan was incredibly helpful from the start—he offered me a donut when I checked in, explained when I should be thinking about getting new tires and why I needed them, and explained how I could build gradually earn credits toward future purchase by using FordPass. Overall, I highly recommend this dealership if you need your Ford serviced. And make sure you get a donut from Jim Geoghegan!

Experience was good-i was able to get into a vehicle within a few days after totaling my previous vehicle. However, brake issues occurred within 1 month of purchase and they assume no liability unfortunately. Very disturbed I would be sold a vehicle with brake issues and not be told about them ahead of time :(5/5 for custom service and turn around time2/5 for vehicle preparedness for resale
I can’t THANK the service department enough. I had a free floating tire stud on a Saturday afternoon which was found when getting tires put on at discount tire. Brett the service manager and Alex the mechanic were able to get me in and get it replaced on super short notice! This allowed me to get the last tire replaced before and upcoming work trip on Monday!
My experience at this dealership is a 2-star review. I am not a satisfied customer! I traded in a 2018 fully loaded Ford Edge for a 2020 Ford Edge. The 2020 Edge does not have the same features I previously had and loved. The sales person should be more knowledgeable about the vehicles and ensure the customer is receiving the vehicle they want versus selling to hit a sales quota. If you go to this dealership, then be sure you are getting exactly what you want before you sign. I contacted my salesperson after the sale to let her know and she never acknowledged or replied to me. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere!

Tire rotation gone bad!!! Jim claimed I needed 20 new lug nuts due to rust/corrosion/ tech afraid higher torc would break them. Questioned due to new tires in July & no issue. Asked for old ones. Sales guy said WD-40. 25yr sales woman said never heard of. Dan, Service Manager then changed story & said swollen & separated. NONE of them are separated at all!!! Ford says tech issue - wrong tools. I agree. Slow dealsership looking to make a buck$$. Not from me again, ever!!

Service is excellent no problem at all. However I am really disappointed in the way my truck is rusting I have holes in the bottom rt door left csn comer panel and holes in both sides of the box above the wheels it is bad advertising to look at

Youd think I was buying a 2020 top end Lincoln because I was treated very well. Mitch was great, and he took care of me pretty good.I had a great experience there and Im not even a Ford guy. Purchased 2016 Taurus SHO. Ive owned almost a week. Love the Car. Roger was the Used car Salesman for my purchase. He worked his A$$ off to make the sale happen. Didnt feel he was pushy about making sure the sale happened. I am ALWAYS hesitant to buy from a dealership due to hidden fees. Roger and finance officer were willing to go over every detail of what I was being charged and taxed on. I felt very comfortable with the final price and financing. I searched internet nationwide for this particular car. I felt this was one of the best priced vehicles I had found. I also experienced a few issues I felt were overlooked after the sale. The issues are being taken care of NO QUESTIONS ASKED!! They actually are covering MORE than I requested without having asked them to do so. Thats almost unheard of!!!! They were willing to make it RIGHT. Definitely a satisfied customer. Im still giving them 5 stars despite paperwork moving slowly. That will work itself out. Appears they sell a lot of vehicles after a couple visits there. Very busy place. So Im willing to be patient with that issue. This is a good sign to me they are a good dealership. Again, very happy with the final outcome of purchasing a vehicle that has been on my wish list for several years. Thanks Bob Maxey Ford and Roger for all your hard work getting me into my SHO!!

On January 20th of 2021My wife took here 2013 escape in for a routine oil change. While it was there she had asked for the brakes to be inspected because the brake fluid light was on.I called them the next dayTo inform the that the oil service light had not been reset and that the dip stick was approximately 1 quart low. Then i informed the manager that the right rear brake caliper was leaking and that in had failed. I was told that the lube technician were not certified mechanics. My question then was why are they inspecting safety critical components on my wifes car. The report they gave my wife had all green checkmarks, including the brake system. Be pacific when asking for an inspection for something more than a oil change. Asked for a certified mechanic.Dave
Amazing service, and fun car buying experience. Kyle Bianchi at Bob Maxey helped me get out of my 13 Focus and into this fully loaded 13 Flex! My favorite part was getting to drive the Flex over the weekend before making the official purchase. Plus Kyle was great, tentative and made sure my husband and I got exactly what we were looking for in this switch to a family size vehicle! I dont want to buy from anywhere else, or get my Flex serviced from anyone else. Bob Maxey has the best auto service and car buying experience this girl could ask for! Vehicle needed for trip, taken in for warranty repair and suspension shake down. My mechanic Edgar S. did a great job as usual, quick turn around in time for the planned trip. Excellent service as usual.
I really needed a new car so I just stopped by to look. Mitchell was very helpful and really sold me on a used Fusion Hybrid and made everything really easy. Ive had the Fusion for a week and Ive had no issues. Everyone in the office was polite and I recommend shopping here.
Highly would never recommend this dealership for anything. Terrible buying experience with Greg haraks and new car sales manager Steve. Too pushy and the up sell is ridiculous on a new f150.Went to Brighton Ford and saved $4,500 compared to Maxey. This review should speak for itself.

I recently purchased a Used 2018 car from Bob Maxey Ford and had a great experience. I have been looking around for a vehicle for a couple of weeks and was on a very tight budget. I began working with Michael Cain to see if the car I saw online was even an option for me. He was very helpful and worked hard to get the pricing to a place where I was comfortable. I didnt feel pressured to add on things I didnt want or go outside the terms we talked about. He was flexible with his hours and ways of communicating since my work shift prevented me from being available. He offered ways to make the process of buying quick & easy and answered all my questions, even helping me link my phone to the car in the end. The rest of the staff at the dealership were very friendly and I enjoyed chatting with them as I waited for my paperwork. I found the overall experience wonderful and would recommend buying from Michael if youre looking at a car at Bob Maxey Ford.
