The staff are all incredible and the variety of games and figures is awesome. They also have a HUGE playspace with events weekly. This rapidly became one of my favorite game stores.Their used section is also fantastic and Ive found many a gems tucked away in thwre for fantastic prices.

Recently discovered this place with my sister! Staff was super friendly and even brought over chairs while we were going through their pokemon singles drawers. I love buying from local businesses over sites like tcgplayer because it puts the fun back in collecting 🧡

Amazing locally owned family friendly store. Everyone is so kind and passionate about the hobby. They have puzzles, board games, card games, and more. Also if you are looking for some games but aren’t looking to spend a lot there’s some great used games they have as well. You can even sell your old games.Highly recommend you stop in even to just check it out.

This is my favorite game store in the state of Michigan. If you are a Magic, Pokemon, Flesh and Blood, D&D or Warhammer player you will love this place. Great selection of board games and lots of play space as well.

This card store it’s honestly the best I’ve ever seen. It looks amazing, it has a giant selection of boardgames, in the employees are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, I have never had a bad experience here. i’ve made a couple friends here playing standard and modern. And I can’t wait to play dungeons and dragons on Saturday, I practically beg my dad every single Friday to take me here so I can play in a tournament. I’m not very good though but I always have fun. I practically spend every penny I get for buying things here. And they can’t wait to see the new store.❤️❤️❤️

The owner and his staff are very friendly and welcoming, and always go above and beyond for their customers. They also have super convenient online ordering, and curbside pickup! Love this place! The area definitely needed a game store after the other self destructed. Im so glad this is the one we got. Excellent selection and even better people. Reminiscent of a larger, better stocked Nerdageddon.

Great little store with lots of card play space. Good selection of great board games with all the DnD and Warhammer supplies for those types of gamers. We picked up Jaipur and a graphic novel for our visit.

Terrific gaming options - including purchase of gently used games or collectible cards for store credit. Terrific placement of signs, sanitizer, masks, and gloves should customers need any of the above. I felt that health and safety was as much of a priority as having top-quality games and accessories.

I place orders frequently. My orders are always correct. The staff has been AWESOME and a huge help. I have only been plating MAGIC THE GATHERING for about 6 months and with the coaching, tricks and tips from these guys I have quickly learned the game and have become quite competitive in our small 8 person group! BEST CARD STORE EVER!

We took the kids there in search of Pokémon cards and the staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped my son find the card he was looking for and even found some cute Pokémon cards for my daughter. Our kids were thrilled and beg to go back every weekend!

Since Ive moved from Washington Ive come to view this place as my home away from home. The people there are so friendly and helpful, and their selection of games both board and card games alike is amazing theyve many playmats and accessories for d&d. Im so glad I stumbled across this gem of a store.

Excellent game store run by great folks. They have a huge Magic selection of thats your bag. For me, I prefer boardgames. Their selection is really good and is growing constantly. They even sell used games which is great because you can pick up good stuff at a low price. They also have everything you would need for Dungeons and Dragons.Im looking forward to the pandemic being over so I can go in there for boardgame nights. They have plenty of space to play and clean bathrooms.Fantastic store. Keep up the good work.

Pros: Nice shop! Cool miniatures stuff, frequent stock for new TCG sets, and very pleasant employees!Cons: No in store tournaments/in store community (Covid’s fault), MSRP price on Pokémon products (I worked in a game store for years and know that vendors sell product to stores at 50%-ish of MSRP so that these stores can make a profit selling at MSRP, selling at 250% higher price seems a bit cheap, it is a business though after all), and lack of charisma in employees. For example when I go into a store to buy miniatures stuff the employee can see based on what I’m purchasing that I have an interest in miniatures, they could easily begin a conversation about miniatures asking simple questions like what my skill level is, which minis I like, etc. and using that information and their own personal knowledge give me some suggestions on items. Treat people like more than a dollar sign! By giving that extra little bit of effort the employee connects to the customer as an individual sharing their interest, and not only sells more product, but reinforces community which nurtures return customers! Great store, great selection, awesome employees.

So excited to find this store here and wish I had known they were there sooner. The very friendly and knowledgeable proprietors greeted me when I came in and made me feel at home. Unlike most gaming stores, this place was clean, pleasantly decorated and lit, and laid out thoughtfully (sorry fellow nerds, but I am sure the die-hards out there know your average game store looks more like a corner of your buddys unfinished basement).The store isnt running a bunch of events now (thank you for being responsible during the global pandemic!) but I am excited to go there in the future and see what sort of events and pick up games can be played in the large back-area. One of the best and most welcoming shops in Michigan. Great for newer players and has a wide variety of singles and sealed product. Runs multiple tournaments a week for people of various skill levels. Also features miniatures, board games, roleplay materials, and a bunch of various gaming-related product. Helpful and friendly owner and staff, who are very knowledgeable.

From the beginning I was skeptical, but hopeful a store could fill the void left by BC Comix closing in the area. This store has surpassed all expectations and continues to establish itself as a foundation in the Michigan Gaming Community. Between amazing service and welcoming atmosphere, both Christopher and Rose, a true dynamic duo, are truly knocking it out of the park. Please, support your local game store, and visit this location, even if it requires a road trip, your journey is well worth it.

This shop is great! I was looking for a new Marvel board game and they had exactly what I was looking for. There were also tons of Magic cards in the display case and lots of other goodies. Glad to see such a great shop has replaced the competition in the area!

Went in once. They have Pokémon Cards at 100% over MSRP all over. They’re literally scalpers with a storefront.

MTG has changed a lot since I played in the 90’s. Chris was extremely helpful explaining the state of things for someone looking to get back into the game.

Upkeep games is in my opinion the best store of its kind within a 75 mile radius, possibly in Michigan. The owner Christopher is, friendly, helpfull, professional, and his knowledge of MTG especially is second to none. This shop is absolutely phenomenal! I just recently started playing MTG and the staff has been incredibly helpful! Chris has an amazing passion for the game and you can feel his excitement to help you, which makes the experience way more fun and enjoyable. I took my deck in to see how to make it better and Chris happily explained all types of things to me while providing me with options and helping me pick which route I wanted to take. All the while it never felt like he was pushing to make a sale. He even would be honest about why cheaper cards are actually a better options in specific situations. By the time I was done it felt like Chris had forged me a set of Mandalorian armor hahah. The environment is incredibly pleasant and even the fellow customers are incredibly friendly. This shop is a phenomenal experience.

The owners came up to me and my friend and greeted us well, then they explained what they want the shop to mean to table top gamers in the area. We are both excited just to have a game shop to go to again and to feel welcome.

As someone who has run and worked in game stores for most of a decade, this place does everything right. Clean, well stocked, insane MTG selection, and great staff. Its absolutely my favorite place to play.

I apologise for this quote.. but the upkeep is young scrapy and hungry! - they are a new store located in Howell. I have not played any games here yet but plan to. Good prices on board games and other related items. Definitely growing as they have a bigger selection every time I go. I have a feeling they are going to continue to grow the store and I look forward to it.
