Whew. Im not sure how I feel about this place. Its dirty. I was had to drive around to find a place to park that I didnt worry about a cart rolling into my new car. That said, theyre so nice that you go anyway. I scored a couple nice trees. Ill be back because I always find something I want.

Have a variety of things from close to animal food, bedding and such. Large selection of candy to garden supplies and decor. Plants, plant seeds and much much more. Staff usually friendly and helpful and they carry things that you cant find anywhere else anymore. I love to go look at the baby chickens while there and ducklings if they have them! AWESOME!

Weve regularly stopped at this store for awhile but have always had issues. Their animal feed bags are always busted and they never have anything in stock, boxes from stocking are always laying around, on top of products, and in isles. They sell mass amounts of chicks, as well as occasionally ducks but dont carry an addiquate feed to support a ducks diet nor do they regularly have feed in stock. Store employees and managers working with live stock are incredibly uneducated, we were looking at chicks months ago and saw one with horrible pasty butt and mentioned it to an employee, the employee responded with, it was going to die anyways and did nothing. (We didnt plan for more chickens but bought her and she is a beautiful barred rock and our sweetest hen). Any visit here is always strange and somewhat unpleasant but today was at another level. We were looking at the chicks and as I was bent over to see them an employee ran up to me standing less than a foot away from me, bent down so he was in my face and in a very eerie and aggressive voice shouted dont touch the chicks while pointing at the sign. I stood up as I planned to continue looking at the chicks while he stood right beside me staring directly at me. I felt incredibly uncomfortable as this was a very disturbing encounter with an employee, he proceeded to stand over me the rest of the less than 30 second I stayed in the store. This was a very disturbing and uneasy visit which I will not be making again. I understand people cannot handle the chicks for their safety, but as a customer I felt very uncomfortable and not safe in that situation. There are far better ways to handle situations than making customers that uncomfortable. If you have a different store available for your needs Id recommend you shop there.

Helpful, friendly staff. You cant beat these jeans at $10 a pair. Good selection of trailer parts of you need that kind of thing (I do lol). Bought a $160 pair of red wings on clearance for $50. Its a good day. 👍

My partner prefers a specific brand and style of hat and Rural King is the only place around that sells Ariat hats. Even Ariats website only sells a couple options so we go to the store for his hats.That said, Rural King does not care for the mask mandates and hasnt throughout the pandemic. We went to the store twice this month (May 2021) and all of the employees were either not wearing masks or wearing them improperly (under their nose or completely under their chin). Customers in general so not wear masks either a couple had masks on but about 95% did not. Many people gave us weird looks for wearing masks. It is just the culture at the store.I did find this sign for my partners workshop which was a nice unexpected find. It was $9.99 if I remember correctly.I will continue to stop there for the few items I cant get elsewhere but I will go anywhere else if I can avoid them.

4 stars? Really? Is it kinda nutty there? Not well lit? Weird energy? Yes to all three, but there is free popcorn and baby chicks in the back. So, yes, 4 stars! 😅Its an interesting place for sure. Its probably not 4 stars, but its not 3 either. We typically have a pleasant experience when we go and see all kinds of interesting wares.I wouldnt say its a do not miss, but if youre near one and you have time to kill, go for it.

I work here and shop here the rural King in Huber heights is so amazing, friendly coworkers and workers, we do everything we can to make sure our coustomers are satisfied and happy and leave with a smile on their faces, we try to have fair pricings on items as well... This is a pretty nice place and they dont just sell farm supplies! They have some real nice plants. Was not able to get out there much to look at them due to the rain. So I am going back sometime this week. They have alot of veggie plants and flowers too. Even saw a couple of roosters for sale. They also have great prices on cat and dog food. I would have given them 5 stars but the isles between the flowers outside are very hard to get through when you are in a wheelchair. Its not like you dont have the room you have a whole parking lot. Anyway, if you are looking for something nice for the yard check this place out.

I ordered bird seed to be picked up at the Huber Heights Ohio store. The cashier was very slow, didn’t seem very knowledgeable. She did several returns that seemed to take forever. She stopped helping costumers to fill up the popcorn machine. She helped 2 other cashiers while I and others waited to complete our orders.She could not find my order, brought up an order for another costumer for a totally different name and order. She then went to the back of the store and tried to find my order. I went to my car and found the order number, she then sent someone to get the birdseed and take it to the car. I was there close to an hour. I thought ordering to pick up was suppose to be time saving!!!!

I thought I liked this place. Does not have customer service at all if there is an issue. They do not care if they screw up your bill. Jason (the manager) is not considerate of your time either. you will get hung up on even after spending $5,000 just for asking too many questions. Makes me wonder about how they treat you if there is a product issue with my item. Literally the cashier screwed up a price by 500 dollars on a mower and it turned into an argument about HIPPA violations.... What in the world. The advertised price was 5,000 and they charged me 5,500 on my card. They were not accommodating at all. I have never had an issue with rural king, but now that I have had an issue and see how they handle it. I feel way different about a purchase here and Im considering taking my item back and getting it somewhere else more accommodating like tractor supply

Great prices on automotive batteries. And, when youre done picking out your batteries, you can stop by the in store zoo where you can see the baby chicks, ducks, and turkeys. Tonight the also had grown chickens, too!

The store was not well organized. The carts were wobbly and not sanitized.The store was under staffed on a busy holiday labor day week end.

We love the popcorn! A few things not clearly marked, but you can always find something you need at Rural King.

I dont visit here that often but when you go into ANY retail establishment and see ONE LONG LINE of customers and 2-3 employees standing at the front of the store, engaged in unnecessary conversation and laughter, it really makes you wonder what kind of management is going on. We stood in line forever, watching the employees in the front act as though they could care less about what was going on. If they were not register trained then they should have been WORKING. I know that customer service was mediocre in some places before covid-19 but thats no excuse--do your job or go home!

Rural King is my go to store for everything from my lunch box snacks to ammunition for my guns. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. The smell of fresh popcorn fills your senses as you enter the store. From your farm to home needs Rual King can fill your needs.

Man I love this place. The deals are always great. I always get my dog food and my smoker pellets here because no one can beat their prices on that stuff! Plus, I cant help but wander through the jerky/sauces/pickled thing aisle to see whats new any time I come by!

I Love this store. They always have the cutest yard and garden decor.You do have to check the prices or your receipt while there ringing you up. Because the price on the shelf is not what always rings up. Other than that I recommend this store.

Hard to get help. Its like they have no interest in helping you find what youre looking for.Use to be a good and fun place to go. And the shelfs are barely stocks in the store looks dirty half the time.

Picked up my asphalt patch and sealer after shopping Lowes and Home Depot, price was much lower, quality appears to be the same. Plus I always pickup a case of their great tasting spring water and grab a bag of popcorn.

Awesome! No frills. Exactly what youd expect from an old school hardware and small farm needs store. Not a Lowes but theres a little bit of everything.

Used to be a super reliable shopping experience but more recently it has been very inconsistent. They seem to never have enough staffing whether it be for the sales floor or the registers upfront. Only place they seem to have a lot of staff is the gun barn. Last time I shopped there I was told they did not have a product I asked for when in reality they did. When I asked a sales associate about correcting the issue he said I would have to wait through the 20 minute line again to fix it. Hope they get more staffing back in.

I dont go here for farm supplies like most people do. I go here to buy the weird off brand bags of candy, jerky, and odd sodas. I wish I didnt buy so many spice drops, but after getting one bag I got hooked until I got sick of them. The chickens, ducks and rabbits all need better taken care of. Weve found multiple dead chickens before, and yes we tapped the container.

They had exactly what I was looking for, but the price that rung up wasnt what was listed on the shelf tag. Got 2 items - both rang up wrong. Sent my daughter with cashier to show her where these items were, because I asked for price correction. She told my daughter This isnt Wal-Mart. If I wouldve known before I left store, I wouldve addressed it with manager - NO - ITS CALLED FRAUD! You cant list something for 1 price and sell it for a higher price (1 item was $10 more, the other $2 more). The price tags were even dated through the end of May! BUYERS BEWARE - CHECK PRICES VS RECEIPTS!

Went well, I think the gentleman outside in the plant department was named Devin, he was very knowledgeable and helped us pick out the plants we described to him.

Good store for some things but I will not be buying anymore lawn care equipment from here. Ive bought a weed eater and had to take back because it fell apart the first time I used it. Now just purchase a lawnmower that I had to take back the very next day. So disappointed in the service I received

I called RK Huber at 8:58pm, thats right, two minutes before closing. Urgent need to locate and get something next morning. Laurie picked up the phone and made two trips outside to locate the item, finishing our call well after closing time. WHO does that anymore!? 99.9% of American business employees would have said (and understandably so): Sorry sir. Were closing. We reopen at 7 tomorrow.

Royal King has open space to park product outside you can see everything before you buy it they have a lot of options inside and the lines are fairly quick they always have a lot of cashiers but no one ever Works them all the service is okay but trying to find help its like everyones busy they can definitely get some people to help customers does not all of us know exactly what were looking for

As you can tell, our family loves rural king! Our American Bully pup Jax, who will be two tomorrow 🥺, even knows them by name! And why wouldn’t he since he gets a free pig eat every time he’s in!! He’d go everyday if he could. The staff is always beyond helpful and kind, and they have fresh free popcorn 🍿 🤗 ya can’t get any better than that!

I usually go to the store in Xenia, but decided to stop at the Huber Heights store since I was in the area. While walking around in the store, I went by the baby chicks and ducks. One of the containers had dead chicks in it, and you could smell them. I could not believe none of their employees saw or smelled the dead chicks when they would feed and water them! I told one of the employees about it, dont know if they ever took care of them.
