Awesome ice cream shop! Firstly. The ice cream itself is delicious and tastes fresh and isnt too sweet. The atmosphere of thr shop is trendy and simple, which adds to the new age vibe you get from the place. Finally the staff are super friendly and helpful in choosing ehat you want, I mean you can pick more than one fruit so the combos gotta go together well. Definitely 10/10 would recommend for a date night or for a quick fruity ice cream!

This ice cream was really good! They swirl frozen fruit into hard serve sweet cream ice cream to make a light, creamy and delicious product. The flavors are fruit forward but rich enough to please someone who’d normally go for chocolate. Definitely recommend this spot!

As someone who is dairy intolerant I have never even bothered with other lackluster dairy free ice creams. But I’m obsessed with the non-dairy kookooberry + cone here. Try it out! You won’t regret it.

Seriously so good. The coconut-based swirl is vegan and, in my opinion, better than the original. Everyone is very friendly and patiently explained all of the options. Definitely go after a ball game!

Maybe my expectations for basic ice cream are too different from what this shop offers, but the ice cream itself was heavy, lacked flavor and could not be redeemed by the simple addition of fruit. Its not tangy like frozen yogurt, its not very sweet or flavored with anything like vanilla - just cream.I ordered strawberry but what I got tasted like bland dairy mixed with raspberry, likely due to extreme cross contamination of the mixing machine between orders. I ordered the dairy base and my friend ordered non dairy, and yet they were made on the same machine.Without the option to add any toppings besides a few kinds of fruit, the bland flavor of the ice cream could not be redeemed.For $7 for a small cup, Id expect better - or at least an up front declaration that this is nothing like traditional New England ice cream.

“New Zealand style ice cream” it all starts with a dairy or non-dairy vanilla base, pick your fruit and type of cone and you’ll end up with what seems to be a soft serve ice cream with a smoothie taste. It was just what we needed on a hot day.$6 for a regular size atmosphere and staff were both great! Thanks for a new experience!

Been here a few times now AND HOLY MOLY! This is a completely different style of ice cream. Creamy, fresh, and melts in your mouth. Probably the best ice cream I’ve ever had!!!!

As a Kiwi living in the US, I was so surprised to find this place randomly on a beach trip. Lovely lovely staff and delicious ice cream!

What a refreshing addition to the ice cream world! We absolutely loved our fresh and fruity treats. We had never heard about New Zealand style ice cream before visiting Far Out, and now we cant wait to go back! It is simple, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The staff is kind, the homemade cones are tasty, the vibe is hip, and the location is perfect! A wonderful place to stop after a day on Nantasket Beach!

Very good ice cream. Im currently not eating dairy and this place offered a great dairy free alternative. Not a ton of sugar either

So went to try it and got the kiddie size for my grandson. Price increase already from 4.50 to 5.00 for a very small amount. It’s pricy at the beach but at this rate the place won’t make it. It was good, but too small of a serving for the cost!

I couldn’t believe how good the ice cream was! The service was prompt, the ice cream was delicious, and you can walk right across the street to Nantasket Beach :)

Wanted to try New Zealand ice cream. Staff was very friendly. Ice cream had lots of fruit. I felt like I was eating healthy but I doubt it.

We tried the kookaberry and mango flavors with the vanilla ice cream base - both turned out delicious! Very creamy and rich, with real fruit providing a wonderful flavor. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a fruity treat!

I live right around the corner so was very excited for this place to open for months, however unfortunately myself and my roommate are very underwhelmed. Ice cream is so so, staff over the top, and the excessive hype around the opening—including the “influencer” only event— was obnoxious. Also the prices are outrageous for an incredibly small ice cream. I did not have a unique nor authentic experience like I was hoping for and I won’t be spending my money here regularly
