Good, cheap food in a nice, cozy diner.So far Ive had the western bagel sandwich and the breakfast Monte Cristo. Both have been wonderful, and I look forward to trying more!
This was a good place to stop in and get some breakfast!. I had the 2 step, which comes with 2-eggs cooked to order, 2-pieces of bacon, 2-sausage links, 2-french toast(or pancakes), my wife got the Maryland which is 2 eggs benedict over crabcakes, on top of pancakes, with the potatoes, which was delicious!!.. the service was nice and our server checked on us throughout our meal. This is a local dinner, and although it might not be modernand up to date, it was just right, great food, and great people.
Great coffee and food...friendly and fast service. Very good prices, and you get your moneys worth. The home fries and marble rye are the best!
Good breakfast and a very friendly place. At one point the regulars noticed I was the only person at the counter they didnt know, so one guy asked my name and then everybody in the place said hello.
I enjoy having breakfast here whenever I’m in town or feel like taking the drive. Small, homey, local spot with plenty of options to choose from. Fairly priced for great big portions of yummy food.
My wife and I stopped at the diner yesterday for lunch. I had the fish and chips, it was totally awesome. My wife had the fish sandwich, she could barely finish it, was also very good. The young girl whom served us was very polite, and the food came out very quickly. Five stars!
Brunch was delicious at the Saltwater Diner. My spouse and I are vacationing from Houston, Texas and this was our first stop. Crowd was light (approx 8 people inside) and the service was fast and the staff very polite. The food came out freshly made and hot. Prices are very reasonable! If we lived in the area, we would visit often!!
My husband and I had burgers. I couldnt finish mine as it was more than I could eat. Food and service were excellent and staff were friendly. We will be going back another time

Perfect spot for a quick morning breakfast. May not have the swagger (or liquor license) of some other local diners, but the food is excellent, the service is quick and friendly, and the price is right.
Stopped by for breakfast yesterday and we enjoyed every single bite. This is definitely a diner where the locals all know each other and that was really cool to people-watch all of those interactions! We tried the farmers omelette and blueberry pancakes and not a single crumb left on the plate. Hope to return soon!
Totally forgot to take a picture of my food. I was pretty hungry when we popped in. Fortunately it was off season and pretty empty. So we sat at the counter. If you know me, one of my favorite things in life is a good basic breakfast at an old school counter. This checked all the boxes. We had basic egg platter and an omelet. Everything was on point. Cooked perfect. The hash browns were more breakfast potatoes. They were great though. The staff was super awesome. I love the owner was out socializing with all the regulars. Next time we are in Hull we will be sure to be back!
Wasnt really worth the wait. Stars over Hingham was very worth the wait instead though.

Amazing place for breakfast and lunch. As they close at 2pm and it makes sense to that t hey serve breakfast all day.I was really impressed by their quick service and good attitude towards the work. I saw a lot of old people visiting the place which was kind of a surprise for me because the place seems to be loved by a lot of locals who eat here Every day.Defiantly a great place for food in the small town of Hull. Their Spanish Omlate is a worth a try.

I went here quite awhile ago and never went back because I found it dirty. But the food was good. This time I went and although the tables were clean the food was not. I got pancakes covered in chips and pieces of black grill scraping burnt pieces of someone elses fool on my eggs as well as through the stack of pancakes. Not very happy a meal.
Service was quite slow as there was only one waitress manning the entire diner. Food (breakfast) was okay at best. Id recommend going elsewhere for breakfast.

Ive been to Saltwater some 25 times in the last 2-3 years. Rick runs a good diner. Its a community gathering place and Ive had many small meetings here over good food. The portions are great and service is quick. Its a gem in Hull.

Great little restaurant. The place was packed with locals who looked like they came daily the waitress knew peoples orders and had started fresh decaf when she saw a regular come in. Great service. If I could give it 0 I would. We walked in on a Sunday morning and all tables were taken and we took 2 empty seats at the bar with the policy being seat yourself. There was 2 cups from the previous customer at the seat and didnt bother us knowing they were busy until about 5 minutes in when no one acknowledged us. As we sat and waited, without being asked what we wanted to drink or any acknowledgement and the dirty cups were still there, someone came over and began to clean the cups but didnt ask us for drink orders or anything. After some time we did place our order, we sat and waited for our food which did come out in a timely fashion. Right before the food was delivered to us, we overheard our waitress say I hate his face, I just want to throw a plate at it. Now this could have been intended for someone else, but considering it was said by our waitress right before she handed us our food it is hard to think it was intended for someone else. This waitress was unprofessional, only seemed to focus on people who were regulars (would assume because she seemed to automatically know drink orders) but to say this within earshot is ridiculous. The food arrived and was sloppy and greasy and the order with egg whites seemed to be strangely green. The service was poor and somehow the food was even worse. We didnt touch our food, notified the waitress who didnt seem to really care so we got up and left. We will be contacting the manager this week over that comment was made. Btw, if you want a breakfast sandwich, you can only ask for a plain bagel and there are no gluten free bread options.

Great local breakfast/brunch spot. Friendly staff and super quick kitchen. You will not wait long for your order to arrive. Bottomless cup of coffee and a convenient location in the center of town. A nice contrast to the “other” breakfast spot on the edge of town. I used to come here when that place had a wait, now I come here first. You should too.

Good prices for generous portions of average food.Service and wait staff attentiveness has improved over the last year. Food come out quick once you order.If youre in Hull looking for breakfast, Toast and the Saltwater Dinner will likely be compared. Prices are about the same but I think Toast has better prepared and tasting food, but they dont have as much seating space and your order can take a long time due to the small kitchen.Saltwater has a better lunch menu and they serve it every day theyre open (Toast doesnt offer lunch on Sundays). You cant go wrong with either so try both and decide what you like best.
Great simple food at reasonable prices with friendly help. Might want to avoid coming at noon on Sunday We came closer to 1 PM and it started to empty out.

Cute inside, food was very average, sadly. Toast was cool to the touch and unbuttered. Eggs were overcooked. Our server was young and easily distracted. On street parking and located right in the Kenberma part of Hull.

Typical New England breakfast place. The food was really good. Service was great. Food came out fast and hot. Eggs were cooked to prefection. The only thing I didnt like was the booths. They had big gashes in the seats and were duct taped up with gashes in the tape. Other than that the place was great.

Just randomly picked this little gem of a place for a late lunch. Their cheeseburger is good and fish fried done perfectly, but we were blown away by their fries and their slaw, which was the best slaw Ive ever had.

Waited about 10 min for a table. Wanted to sit at the bar but that wasnt cleaned either. Were spaces to eat but werent clean. Ppl ended up getting seated at bar before us and ended leaving before we even got our food. Waitress didnt see us after we were seated for about 10 min. Didnt receive our drinks for another 10 and when we were through couldnt get our check for another 15. Not impressed at all. It was Sunday am around 10. Maybe this is the place to go on a weekday. Idk. Waited about 10 min after asked for everything. Dont come if youre in a rush.
