A fantastic place for anything from table top RPGs to Board games and Card games. They always have something going on like games happening in the back and where they let you try games they sell. And Kobie is a great sales person, he takes the time to tell you what you want to know about stuff and has great suggestions when youre looking for something new, we will definitely be back for more!

One of the best gaming stores in the North Houston area. The staff here is always really polite, informed, and not overly intrusive when youre shopping. I remember coming here for a pokemon tournament pre-pandemic and it was well organized. This isnt the biggest store in size, but it is very heavily packed with merchandise with some of the aisle areas only big enough for one person (if youre on the bigger side) it can be difficult to look at everything if its a packed day. They carry a multitude of boardgames from independent smaller companies to the larger more known recognized. As of late I have mostly been coming here for boardgames and more importantly D&D supplies. They carry paints, brushes, miniatures, miniature decorative terrain, most of the books, and spell book cards. Id highly recommend this store for anyone looking for a game boardgame night/family night.

I was literally banned because somebody (an employees wife) made a mess inside the bathroom. I was immediately blamed by the employees, and as I walked in with my girlfriend, my final session before moving away for college was ruined by being told to leave. I had to be outside trying to convince the employees that it wasnt my fault, almost to tears. Somehow I managed to get them to let me back in, night ruined completely. Will NOT go back again.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The staff is great, helpful and knowledgeable! The store and restrooms are really clean and the crowd is amazing. Magic on Thursday’s is great for Magic and I bring my kids on Sundays for Pokémon! The guy running the Pokémon events Jay is great, he volunteers every Sunday and makes sure that the environment is always kid friendly to all ages. My kids are 7,11 and 13 and all come to play. We look forward to Sundays! If you have little ones wanting to learn everyone who plays is always very helpful and friendly!

Don’t want to hurt the store’s reputation, but I’ll stand by my review below.Used to really enjoy coming here until someone named Jay took over “Pokémon league”. He curses around children and I decided to stop taking my kids here. Otherwise I really enjoy the other employees there but I will avoid going here while Jay is around.

My kids LOVE this place! They play Pokémon every Sunday, the guy named Jay who volunteers on Sundays organizing is so awesome with all new players, helped my kids set up and build their decks, all the older kids were so willing to help! We are going to keep coming for sure!

Love the place we need more places like it. Played some D&D its been a while sense the last time my wife and I played so it was amazing to get back into it. Their selection is great there are plenty of games to choose from. Now I just have to control myself form spending all my money there lol

Its a nice store and great spot for the (pre covid) monthly swap meet. I sold some items for store credit a while back but they werent able to find it in the system. The staff still honored the credit and I am eternally grateful for their commitment to customer service.

My friends and I have been shopping at this location for years - I can’t believe I’m just now leaving a review for them! I seriously love this place. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. The gaming merchandise selection is incredible. You’ll find just about anything here at a fair price. I particularly love their Magic the Gathering singles cabinet and D&D merchandise!

Great store, super friendly staff. When I came into the store a few months ago to buy my first MTG deck they walked me through the different formats and what accessories they have to protect the cards. During the week they host different event for different types of games such as Warhammer, D&D, MTG and even family board games night. Even during the covid pandemic everything is kept clean and events were well spaced out for everyones protection. I have a lot of fun and have met some great people here.

When I first found this store I drove an hour every Friday to play Magic: The Gathering. I passed up three other gaming stores on the way because I love the community so much. The focus was always on having fun. I’ve gotten a little better over the years and now live just around the corner and the store still has my regular business. To go to another store would feel like cheating on my wife!The staff are always super nice and even though the faces change, the community is Uber friendly, always welcoming new players who enjoy nerding out with us. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys gaming. The wall of free-to-use board games is one of my favorite features.

Tldr: this is the best game store I have ever been to. Hands. Down.I go to ettin games to get new TTRPG books and minis (for Dnd 5e). Ive been shopping there for about a year, always a great selection with plenty of great products that the people at my table love! I was there just this week and was so excited to see these amazing wolf pack minis that I had never seen before. It was in the display case and when I asked about it the employee there said he had 3D printed it (to my dismay.) I told him about a player who always summons a Hound of ill omen at my table, and he just said take one. Not a big deal right its just a little wolf model,... NO this guy took the time to print, paint, and base a wolf pack, this guy took time out of his life to make this set of wolves and without even thinking twice broke up the set to make my day. I love the TTGing comunity and I love this game shop! Go support them! Buy all you cards, book, dice, minis, and board games from. them. Because they are the best gamestore around. 5 stars all the way!!

Started going to ettin around this fall to play Pokémon the main Pokémon league runner Jay has made me feel very welcome and is amazing with kids super patient, and is always happy to help! Don’t know what i would do without the ettin family!

This is a great place to game. Me and my family play Pokémon here on sundays and there is always a great turnout and the community is great, we have made quite a few friends since we started playing here. Jay is great, i have played Pokémon tcg for years but he showed and taught us an entirely different and competitive side to the tcg game and kept the tcg game going throughout the covid pandemic when we had nowhere else to play. Great matches, great trades and great people i definitely look forward to my Sunday battles at ettin.

The friendliest gaming store that I have been to with a great selection of games and even a discounted section. Half of the store is dedicated to a free gaming area and they have snacks to help you through a long campaign. Open late on Fridays and Saturdays and I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Best place in the area for comics and gaming. Friendly staff of fellow gamers and nerds who are glad to help if they arent super overloaded with people there for an event. Yes, DNA is right nearby. In my experience, the staff there are kind of indifferent, and it makes you feel like an outsider; Ettin and its staff and clientele make you feel welcomed.

Was extremely disappointed to see that Ettin is not following the Executive Order mask mandate by Gov. Abbott, nor the mask mandate put in place by the Harris County Judge.Over half of the 10+ gamers in the store were not wearing masks, nor was the employee on staff as they talked to and helped customers. There was no effort by Ettin to space out tables or limit the number of players in the gaming area; it was as if it was just another day at the game store and this pandemic was just a distant memory.I was holding off on leaving a comment or writing a review, but the employee on staff changed my mind. He told us that bottled waters were now free: the owner had bought a pallet of bottled water because Ettin had been fire marshaled and since masks are not required when eating or drinking, we could all be given a free water in case the authorities stopped by again. The fact that Ettin would go to such lengths to not comply with the mask mandates and guidelines put out by the government when said guidelines are *so incredibly easy to follow* is incredibly sad and disappointing.I dont want Ettin to get fined or get in trouble with the authorities. I simply want them to actually follow the rules *ALL* businesses must follow. Until they do, such blatant disregard for the safety of their customers is unacceptable and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Ive been to a LOT of game shops over the years and this is by far the best. The store is well lit, clean, organized and they keep the shelves well stocked. There are plenty of tables and always some kind of event going on. The staff are knowlegable and friendly.Ive never walked in without someone at least welcoming me. And theyre always eager to answer questions or make recommendations. Its a great place.

This is the best little gaming store Ive seen in a long time period even if youre not into gaming they have arcades and Air hockey. They have a large selection of Pathfinder and 3.5. Plus they allow you to host your own games upstairs. I myself run a campaign and you can always find players here who are willing to fill chairs. Ordered a “damaged box” copy of a game via the store’s website. The owner replied quickly to my email questions, even taking a pic of the box so I could see the damage (which was just cosmetic Damage to the box). When I placed the order and then goofed up the shipping (because of my mistake, not the store’s), again the owner was quick to help find a solution that worked for everyone. The game arrived exactly as described, with just the cosmetic box damage and all of the game components pristine. Extremely impressed with the service, especially in such stressful times. And their inventory is ORGANIZED. its a breeze to find what youre looking between the great service the employees provide and the organization they have. They also will order specific products for you if they dont have it in stock at the moment which is so nice.

Its a great shop for table top games, miniatures and accessories; but for MTG cards they dont do bulk discounts on packs like other stores where buying a standard box is about $110 after tax here youre charged for the sum of the value of the 36 packs in the box (somewhere a bit over $150) which is a bit steep when the shop buys singles at 50% of market value.

This place is WONDERFUL. The customer service is great everytime I go and they always have an amazing selection of games. Im never made to feel unwelcome.

So, I have been in a few game shops. Being female, this is always interesting. You either get a weird form of stink eye, or you get sandwiched between the two guys talking about tanks incessantly.This game shop is neat, clean, organized, and the guys there are very helpful. The place is active, and people there are playing games most of the night. They play MTG, D&D, and other table top games. They sell snacks and drinks and are located next to a pizza shop. What can be better?Nice selection, friendly staff, this place is perfect for the gamer.

This shop is fantastic! My friend and I checked out the store late Saturday night and Dave was so nice. He took the time to talk with us about all of the table top games and explained each ones pros and cons. They have all of its product up front when you walk in and then the back 2/3rds is all about gaming space. The selection of new and used items is terrific. The shop is also so clean and open. They also have a terrific library of board games that you can crack open and play at any time. I cant wait to join in on some good tabletop gaming there soon.

Just come early to grab a space and keep an eye out for scheduled events as they have priority for tables. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable but can get a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people.

I love Ettin. I have been going there for three years now. MTG.. Board games....and now with dragon ball z card game. Its true that it doesnt have A Lot of card games but the People there are great prices are competitive to the market and not over priced.. One of my favorite Dungeons and Dragons places. Lots of games and good prices. Nice selection of miniatures for tabletop role-playing. Please try and make your purchases from the independent retailers who make valuable space available to gamers instead of using it as extra sales floor. Look on the App Meetup for games and times to play. It can be a little hard to find the first time if not from Humble. Also, I would like to learn how to play more games, but always find it challenging to find the right time or table for someone complete new to a game.Update: Been coming every Tuesday since June and love this place as a D&D meet up location.

Been going here a while now have to say great guys and gals. Great selection and when they run out of stuff they are happy to order. I have been extremely happy with them and will continue to go back time and again. Also if you want a dice bag they have a local patron who makes them and sells them in store some of the coolest bags around very high quality great designs.

This shop has friendly staff and owners, they host a wide variety of events and have reasonable prices. They have a lot to offer and have a generous gaming space. If you are into miniature war gaming like warhammer you may find a better selection of paints elsewhere, thats the only drawback.
