In search of great coffee or tea? A short 15 minute drive from Jackson Tennessee is the Coffee Shop. Run by the affable owners Guy and Tammy, this is a charming place to have excellent coffee and real home baking. We had a quick bagel and coffee and hopped back on the road, clutching two scrumptious apple and pecan muffin. (Let the baking display tempt you! ) Sparkling clean restrooms and professional friendly Staff is an extra plus. Cheers for a great start to the day!

I had court here and it went faster than expected. What a perfect little place to have a good strong cuppa coffee and enjoy some outdoor seating. It was a delight. It was clear that the owner is the one that waits on you and she was delightful. Everybody was kind and I got to recommend the loaded biscuit and gravy. So it’s an open face biscuit with good sausage on it covered in scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese smothered in gravy. Now my arteries may never recover but my taste buds are still thanking me for the splurge. Unlike some places that are stingy, they were happy to give me a to go cup for me to take another refill a coffee back on the road on the way back to seek justice for others.

When I think about a restaurant’s performance, I typically consider value, quality, and experience/customer service.Value: the value isn’t great. A macchiato and chicken melt (no side) was $15. Macchiato at decent coffee shops are usually $4.50 to $5.00. The sandwich for $8 should come with a side of chips, fruit, or similar IMOQuality: coffee quality was excellent. Care and attention went into the preparation of the macchiato. Quality ingredients. The food quality however, much worse. This has been pointed out in other reviews as well. My sandwich was more or less assembled from precooked (warmed) chicken and basic ingredients. Nothing special here. Chicken melt was extremely dry. The sandwich wasn’t dressed with a sauce, one mustard packet provided. I think the owners can really improve the overall quality of the foodExperience: excellent customer service, friendly staff, live entertainment is offered at specified times. The coffee shop is decorated well and there’s plenty of seating. Doesn’t feel like you are cramped in sitting with others. Live entertainment wasn’t provided at the time of my visit however, there was a cozy corner where the artist would perform. None of the staff was wearing masks or gloves if that’s important to you.I’d probably come back for a drip coffee and a pastry

It was recommended by friends, we had a great experience, not only the coffee was excellent but the staff very friendly and accommodating, the good was very good. A great place to hang with friends or family. Atmosphere was relaxing and very clean. A must go to! ENJOY!!

AWESOME! Baked goods, grilled items, soups, & salads.... all fresh & tasty. Cant find a better breakfast anywhere: loaded biscuits & gravy, quiche, breakfast casserole, & more. Large selection of desserts.----The owners are on-site most of the time. Staff members are friendly & professional. If you peek into the kitchen area (easily done) you will find it is clean and well maintained. Always top marks on inspection reports.-----Atmosphere is comfortable/cozy. Cushy furniture near the fire place, private meeting room available, tables for two or twelve, and bar seating as well. Live music on Thursdays during mid-day hours and Friday & Saturday nights. Newly added, a meeting room set up for media presentations, in-services, or conferences.-----Location, downtown Humboldt. All sorts of shops and restaurants nearby. Plenty of parking. And you can order your carry out via website or phone. GREAT PLACE!!! Im in there a couple of times a week and would go more often if my schedule allowed.

Made the 14 minute drive from Jackson, TN, and it was definitely worth it! The food and service were amazing!! Very friendly welcoming environment with plenty of seating, clean, and southern chic. Well be back again!

Coffee was delicious. Not many places offer Cuban Coffee. Had to try it. It did not disappoint.

This place is great. We’re new residents to the area but born and raised in the south. It’s good to see that southern hospitality isn’t dead and neither is southern cooking. They sling a good cup of joe, too! The owner came around to check on people but there was no need because the food was great and the employees were great, also. Keep it up!

The very best coffee shop. The employees remember you and make you feel right at home. The decor is fabulous. You can sit outside and enjoy your morning coffee or choose from a variety of teas. You can have birthday parties or spend time with friends listening to live music. You must visit to experience. I highly recommend!!

I will start by saying I am not a coffee drinker. My wife is though and she really enjoyed the coffee and bakery items. Everything on the menu actually looked really good, from their soups and salads to their scones and other breakfast items. The atmosphere and largeness of the environment was really quite amazing for a small city like Humboldt. This place is the shining star of this community.

We were looking for dessert after an amazing dinner that we had at another local restaurant and decided to check this place out. We are glad that we did. The ice cream was hand dipped and the cappuccino was most excellent. We are planning a trip to come back to eat here again.

Amazing experience arranging a rehearsal dinner for 50 and shifting from dining in to a remote outdoor venue. The Causeys were so friendly and flexible, and the food great. Multiple guests said the potato salad was the best they had ever had, and the four cakes from Sugaree were wonderful. Highly recommended for your next group event, and the party room in the shop would be great for a group of about thirty or less--such atmosphere!

I was online trying to find me and my wife something for lunch today, so we decided to try The Coffee Shop and Im glad I did. They have the best burgers 🍔 😋 ever!!! 👍🏽👍🏽

So bad news first. The Chemex was super weak and my girlfriend’s flat white was pretty bitter (yes I understand the difference between bitter and good espresso). I make a Chemex almost every morning and I would take mine over this any day.Having said that, I’d still definitely come back. It’s brand new and a lot of the workers have never been baristas before (in fact the girl making my cup was training a new barista), so I don’t expect it to measure up to Barista Parlor or Crema...yet!The good news, everything else was a win. The baristas were all very friendly, the environment was great, and their mission (see pic) is really encouraging. The art on the walls, the creative lighting, the music, everything was really cool. Really excited to see the specialty coffee scene growing in smaller towns like Humboldt! Keep up the great work folks at The Coffee Shop!

This was my first visit to The Coffee Shop and it was a wonderful first impression. Service was super friendly and attentive. The place is big inside and larger than what it appears from the outside. Lots of tables and sitting areas. I personally am not a coffee person, so I just had water to drink but its nice that they have both plain ice water and cucumber infused water for free. I have to say that the breakfast menu is very limited (after all, it is mainly a coffee shop), but the flavor was good. I got the quiche and fruit cup and it was a little on the small side, but it was good. This is not the place if you want a hearty lumberjack breakfast. But, the foods good and the atmosphere is very nice. I would go back again! I would like to try their lunch menu next.

1,000,000% the best coffee shop around. My friends and I stopped here while on a cross-country road trip and were completely re-energized by the warm energy Tammy (?) radiated while checking in with us. The cold brew was tasty and also woke us up hehe.I hope to visit again sometime in the future

Saturday morning (10am) hosts lots of baby and toddlers with parents or grandparents taking up every table! There is a meeting room packed with ladies having a tea/shower with a lovely set up. Bathrooms are so clean, and everything is kept spotless, with is so refreshing when so many places are so filthy. The people who work here are so attentive and helpful, and the food is incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the quiche and pastries.

Excellent coffee, with beans ground at the service counter. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich which was served hot and was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and there was live music at lunchtime. Perfect anytime but especially nice on a rainy Thursday.

This is a wonderful restaurant. They cater to your needs so nicely. Example- I am avoiding carbs especially in bread. I asked if my tuna salad could be on lettuce instead. They offered a tomato cup that was so much fun and delicious. Everyone working there is fun, caring, attentive and happy. You wont be disappointed.

My coffee drink was very good. The people working there were nice. Ordered a Cuban coffee. Was good but not like the Cuban coffee I got from a Cuban man in Miami many years ago. Ill be going back to try more items sometime.

My wife and I came into Humboldt for a wedding at Crown Winery. We stumbled upon The Coffee Shop during our time in town and fell in love with it. I ate delicious meals and had excellent coffee 3 times in 24 hours. What a gem!!!!

I love the vibe of this ma and pa, cozy coffee shop located right on the main drag of Humboldt. The blueberry muffin (which they kindly offered to heat up) and spicy Chai latte were delicious. Friendly owners and staff too!

Went in by chance. The Mexican restaurant across the steeet was closed and we saw the sign Coffee Shop so we thought wed give it a try. Opened the door, stepped in and...WOW! The place is incredible inside. REALLY nicely done. The outside isnt bad but the inside is super nice. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere with nice staff and great food. Had the chicken salad sandwich and potato soup and they were both great. Bathroom was super clean too. They have a lot of room and a cool private room that looks like it could be used for larger groups or meetings I suppose. When we finished eating, the lady sweeping the floor came by to pick up our plates and thanked us for visiting. Turns out, shes the owner, Tammy! She sat down with us ant told us about how/why her and her husband started the Coffee Shop and how they renovated the building. Its a great story. We own a retail establishment ourselves and are tough to impress, but his place has it going on. We will certainly be back and I recommend checking it out. This is a place worth supporting. Thanks for a great experience. A+

I went in the store and quietly stood at the ice cream freezer, waited close to 10 minutes, the lady seen me standing there waiting and still didnt offer to wait on me. I just walked out. I thought bigotry was dead until I went in that prejudiced place. They still in the 50s era. Forget it.I reckon I was the wrong color.

Heres whats good. Food has always been freshly made on each trip (grilled cheese, burger, salad, etc.) The staff is nice. And they do nice touches like adding a free Valentines cookie to your meal. What could be better is they take 20-30 minutes to make a chicken salad sandwich and soup combo at lunch rush. The guest musicians music is always too loud to hear the person next to you talk. There is never vegetarian soup selections, and only have a vegan burger, grilled cheese, pimento cheese sandwich, or side salad to choose from. Itd be nice if they put a build your own panini option or even add marinara sauce to build your own pizza panini. Or maybe put the vegan party as an option to add to their wraps. Just small changes that add a lot of variety. It be nice if they had the other zapps potato chip flavors too. Regardless, a great option in Humboldt.
